Incidents of Karmic Retribution in Laixi City, Shandong Province

February 25, 2012 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Shandong Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing, and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

In the 12-plus years of the Chinese communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong, despite practitioners’ efforts to explain the facts, some people have continued to assist the regime in persecuting good people. The following are some of the incidents of karmic retribution experienced by those who persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in Laixi City, Shandong Province.

Jiao Xingmin Meets with Death

Wazhuang villager Jiao Xingmin from Rizhuang Town, Laixi City, actively participated in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He verbally abused practitioners detained at the Rizhuang Police Station while monitoring them. He also volunteered to spy on practitioners, tore up Falun Gong flyers posted by practitioners to clarify the facts, bad-mouthed practitioners and did a lot of other evil deeds. He died of cancer in 2006.

Deputy Security Head Wang Xusheng Punished

Wang Xusheng, a security deputy head in Wazhuang Village, was notorious for his participation in the persecution. He tore down truth-clarifying flyers from walls, removed banners from light poles, and wrote slandering words on the walls of practitioners’ homes to defame Falun Gong. Wang repeatedly led township police to practitioners’ homes to confiscate Falun Gong books, tapes, CDs and other materials.

One day when two practitioners went to a neighboring village to distribute informational materials, Wang Xusheng led police officers to chase the practitioners for several kilometers, trying to capture them.

Wang currently suffers from multiple health problems. He lives an agonizing life and looks very sick. Wang’s family members have also paid the toll for his crimes. His mother developed cancer, his father is a frequent hospital patient, and his daughter also checked into a hospital recently.

Wang Jian Severely Injured

Wazhuang villager Wang Jian had a positive view of Falun Gong prior to the onset of the persecution in July 1999. Once a practitioner was riding a bicycle when he saw a tractor-trailer accidentally spilling gravel on the road. The practitioner immediately stopped and moved the gravel out of traffic's way. Wang Jian witnessed the incident and was touched by the practitioner’s good deed. When he returned to the village, he told many people about it.

However, after the Chinese communist regime launched its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Wang Jian believed the regime’s lies and began to bad-mouth Falun Gong and practitioners. He also removed truth-clarifying banners from tree branches. Despite the practitioners’ repeated pleas, he refused to listen to the truth.

Wang was hit by a tricycle in the fall of 2006. The accident cost him three toes and lots of medical expenses.

Zhang Zhaoyu Paralyzed

During a summer night in 2002, two practitioners went to Yulin Village to distribute truth-clarification flyers. When they came to Zhang Zhaoyu’s house, he held them and called the police. The practitioners explained the facts of the persecution to him, but he refused to listen and turned them in for a reward.

At the time, Rizhuan Town Police head Liu Hongzhai posted incentives for villagers to spy on practitioners and assist in the persecution. He put posters in public places in Rizhuang Town, declaring the following rewards: 100 yuan for reporting a practitioner, 500 yuan for capturing a practitioner, and 5,000 yuan for "reforming" a practitioner.

The police illegally arrested the practitioners and detained them at the Qingdao Dashan Detention Center for 40 days. Shortly after they returned home, Liu Hongzhai and others arrested them again while they were planting wheat. The practitioners were detained at the Wangcun Labor Camp in Jinan City for 2 years.

Not long after Zhang Zhaoyu had reported the practitioners to the police, a severe illness permanently paralyzed him. People familiar with the case knew that Zhang met with retribution for his involvement in the persecution.
