(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in nine provinces. As per this report, 17 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Tianjin] Persecution in the Wuqing District
Ms. Huang Zunling from Wangqingtuo Town went to Beijing to appeal on September 9, 1999. She was arrested by officials from the Tianjin Liaison Office in Beijing and held at the Wuqing District Police Department for 30 days during which time officer Zhang Youxiang brutally beat her with rubber clubs. She appealed in Beijing again in November 1999 and was beaten by officer Zhang Wei at the Wangqingtuo Police Station. She was arrested yet again in 2000, as she posted Falun Gong materials, by officers from Chagugang Police Station. Wuqing District Court officials eventually sentenced her to three-and-a-half years in prison. Wuqing District 610 Office agents and officials from the Wangqingtuo Police Station arrested her in 2007. She held a hunger strike at the Wuqing District Detention Center. Ms. Huang broke free while the officials were preparing to interrogate her. She has since lived in exile.
Officials from Wangqingtuo Town arrested Mr. Cao Zhining on July 19, 1999, and held him at the Wuqing District Detention Center. He appealed in Beijing in November 1999 and was arrested by officials from Wangqingtuo Police Station. Officer Zhang Wei slapped his face more than 100 times on their way back to Tianjin. He was held at Wuqing District Detention Center for 28 days and extorted of 500 yuan. Mr. Cao went to Beijing again in 2001 and was arrested and sentenced to prison by officials from Wangqingtuo Town Police Station and from the Wuqing District Police Department. He was taken to Gangbei Prison in Tianjin in 2001 where more money was extorted from him.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tian Guiying Suffers from Torture-induced Mental Collapse
Ms. Tian Guiying and Ms. Tian Guixin were arrested early on the morning of May 6, 2010, and taken to Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City. Tian Guiying was held at Division 1, and Tian Guixin was held at Division 6. Tian Guiying suffered a mental collapse after undergoing brainwashing and torture.
Ms. Tang Yanbo, from Huashu Village, Dakouqin Town, Longtan District, was arrested at home on the afternoon of May 28, 2010 and later taken to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.
3. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Sent to Brainwashing Center
The following four practitioners are currently being held at the Binhu District Brainwashing Center: Ms. Pan Qizhen, who is around 60 years old; 68-year-old Ms. Qi Shixiu, 71-year-old Mr. Qian Jiarong, and a practitioner from Jiangyin.
Mr. Wang Jianwu was arrested last year and sent to a brainwashing center.

4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Xuebin and Wife Zeng Hui Arrested in Yantian, Dongwan, Guangdong Province
Officers from Yantian Police Station arrested Mr. Wu Xuebin and his wife Zeng Hui on the afternoon of August 28, 2010. The police later ransacked their home and took all Falun Gong books, one computer, two mobile phones, one hard drive, one U drive, all IDs, two bank deposit slips, and all cash.
Mr. Yang Heping was arrested at his daughter's home and the home was ransacked at 8:00 p.m. on August 30, 2010. His wife Yang Guangxiu and their daughter Yang Qinqin were arrested at their workplaces. Participating in the August 30, 2010 arrest were officers from the Yantian Police Station. Yang Qinqin was released the morning of August 31, and Yang Guangxiu was released later that night.
The same group of police officers arrested Mr. Xia Hai, who was working in Dongwan on the morning of August 31. They also tried to arrest his wife Tang Hongwei, but she managed to leave safely. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Officials from the Yushu City 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division, along with Bo Haiting from the Qingshan Township government and others, broke into private homes. They arrested Ms. Zhang Junchao, Ms. Chen Wenbin, Ms. Tan Shuyan and Ms. Zhang Huabin at 3:00 a.m. on August 31, 2010. They drove Zhang Junchao to the Xiuseshanzhuang Brainwashing Center.
Zhang Junchao's husband Han Yuzhu died at the Weizigou Forced Labor Camp on January 8, 2001, after being force-fed concentrated salt water.

6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Xiaoping and Others Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Officers from Banqiaolu Police Station arrested Mr. Yang Xiaoping, Ms. Lu Dan, and Ms. Li Fei at Mr. Wang Erhao's home in Dagang District, Tianjin on July 20, 2010. Li Fei is Wang Erhao's wife. They were savagely beaten before being taken to the Hexi District Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin. Yang Xiaoping and Wang Erhao were later sent to Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp, to be held for one year, while Lu Dan and Li Fei were taken to the Dagang District Women's Forced Labor Camp, to be held for one year.
Yang Xiaoping has suffered serious internal injuries from brutal beatings, and as a result has difficulty speaking and walking. His wife and sister barely recognized him during their visit.
7. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Du Wenxue Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Mr. Du Wenxue from Minzhu Village, Daqingzui Town is in his sixties. Officers from the Daqingzui Town Police Station arrested him on the afternoon of July 24, 2010. Police head Li Bengang ransacked his home and took Falun Gong books and recorders, among other things. Du Wenxue was held at the Dehui City Custody Center for 15 days, during which time he was pressured to reveal the source of Falun Gong materials, but he withstood the pressure. He was taken to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City on August 7, to be held for one year.

10. [Qingyun County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Aimin and Others Arrested
Officials from the Qingyun County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Zhang Aimin, Mr. Yang Xiqing, Ms. Xu Qingmei, Ms. Hu Lianhua, and her husband with surname Han on the morning of September 3. The persecutors confiscated the practitioners' personal belongings.
11. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Huilan Arrested on September 3 and Sent to Brainwashing Session at the Xiaocun Township Nursing Home
12. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Persecution at the Handan Forced Labor Camp
Guards resort to various tactics to coerce practitioners to write a guarantee statement. For example, they beat Mr. Tong Weimin, an employee from Hebei Agriculture University with rubber clubs for two nights - on August 24 and August 26 - until his back was severely discolored. After the brutality they isolated him to prevent others from seeing evidence of the crime.
13. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Zhen Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Huanan Court sent an illegal verdict of a three-year prison sentence to a hospital ward where Mr. Wang Zhen was staying on August 26, 2010. Wang Zhen was found to have lung secretions and inflammation. He also suffered from kidney stones and fluid buildup. Mr. Wang was taken back to the Huanan Detention Center on September 3 and was told his medical treatment would continue there.
14. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Tian Suohai Harassed
Three police cars pulled up to Mr. Tian Suohai's home on August 24, 2010. The officers harassed him while claiming to be checking on his health.
15. [Bazhong, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ding Hui Persecuted
Ms. Ding Hui, 23, is from Shi Village, Tuxing Township, Pingchang County. She was a teacher at Tuxing Middle School. The school officials fired her in 2004 for practicing Falun Gong. She went to attend Bazhong Normal School and graduated in 2008, then worked as a substitute teacher at Duxing Elementary School, but was again fired for the same reason. She returned to Bazhong City. Officials from the Bazhou District Domestic Security Division arrested her on April 1, 2010 and took her to the Bazhong City Police Department. She was later sentenced to 18 months of forced labor and forced to work at an electronics factory affiliated with the Chengdu Forced Labor Camp.
16. [Wulumuqi City, Xinjiang Region] Mr. Xue Shengwu Arrested
Mr. Xue Shengwu, 60, worked in Wulumuqi City, Xinjiang Province. He was arrested at the end of August 2010, while speaking with people about Falun Gong. All employees at the factory where he worked were detained for one day while the police rummaged through the entire factory and confiscated of Falun Gong materials.
17. [Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Yongchun and Mr. Liang Chenglong Disappeared Many Years Ago
Ms. Deng Yongchun and Mr. Liang Chenglong from Xiaohan Town, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province disappeared in 2001 and have not been heard from since. Liang Chenglong is about 32 years old and disappeared after the persecution began in 1999.
18. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xu Fengzhi and Ms. Wang Arrested
Two elderly practitioners - Ms. Xu Fengzhi and Ms. Wang- were arrested by special agents from the Henan Province Domestic Security Division in June 2010 and taken to the Zhengzhou City Detention Center. Officials eventually transferred them to a police department.
19. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qi Hongzhi and Ms. Dong Huiping Arrested
Officers from the Fousi Police Station arrested Qi Hongzhi and Dong Huiping at noon on September 4 and sent them to Fumeng County Domestic Security Division where they were savagely beaten.

20. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Su Huiming Arrested
Ms. Su Huiming, a retired cashier from the Wanchai Town Power Supply Plant, was arrested inside the Hongjing Garden Residential Complex in Wanchai Town on the afternoon of September 5, 2010. She is now being held at a brainwashing center.
21. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qing Mingzhen Held at the Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp--Her Term to Expire on September 10, 2010
