(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in seven provinces. In this report, 18 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongqing ] Ms. Liu Tianlin Subjected to Torture in Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liu Tianlin was arrested and sent to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp in late June 2009. Prison guard Yang Yi ordered drug offenders Chen Zhi and Wu Qing to watch Ms. Liu. She is often prohibited from using the restroom, brushing her teeth or washing her face. She suffers from prolonged hunger and is often subjected to tortures which include being forced to squat on her heels for long periods of time.
2. [Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Fenghua and Ms. Ma Weicun Sent to Changcun City Brainwashing Center
Ms. Wang Fenghua was arrested by officers from Baihe Forest Police Department on the morning of July 3, 2010. Ms. Ma Weicun was arrested at her home by officers from the Changbaishan Police Department and people from Changbaishan Development Administration Committee. Both were sent to a brainwashing facility in Changchun City, called the "Changcun City Law and Education Center." Upon arriving at the brainwashing center, Ms. Ma showed symptoms of high blood pressure, thus she was rejected and sent back.
3. [Fuyu County, Jilin Province] Mr. Ren Qingji and His Wife Li Qinglian Arrested
Mr. Ren Qingji and his wife Li Qinglian, from No. 25 Village, Caijiagou Town of Fuyu County, were arrested on July 1, 2010, at Li Qinglian's father's home. Officers from the Liyin Township Police Station were involved in the arrest. The couple are currently detained at Fuyu County Detention Center.

4. [Baoding City, Hebai Province] Mr. Wang Yun and His Wife Ma Fengxia Detained in Xiangyang Brainwashing Center
Mr. Wang Yun and his wife Ma Fengxia were arrested at Xiahuliang Village by agents from Zhuozhou 610 Office on July 5, 2010. They are currently detained at Xiangyang Brainwashing Center, which is inside Xiangyang Nursing Home.
5. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Cengling Arrested
Eight officers from the Huangshanpu Police Station broke into Ms. Wang Cengling's home in Gezipu Village, at around 5:00 p.m. on July 1, 2010. They arrested Ms. Wang and sent her to Yishui County Detention Center.
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiufang Released from Detention After Suffering a Mental Collapse
Ms. Chang Xiufang from the Shenbai New District, Shenyang City, was released after being tortured to the point of a mental collapse. She is unable to recognize some people and sometimes cries and laughs for no apparent reason. Her family has been preventing her from contacting any fellow practitioners for fear that she would be arrested again.
7. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cao Furong Taken to Yingcheng City No. 2 Detention Center
Ms. Cao Furong, in her sixties, was reported to the police while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. She was arrested on the afternoon of July 3, 2010 by officers from Chengzhong Police Station. She is currently held at Yingcheng No. 2 Detention Center.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Yangfang Arrested
Ms. Wang Yangfang from Chengdu City was arrested in mid-June 2010.
9. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhang Yuguo Arrested
Mr. Zhang Yuguo from Caiji Town, Funan County of Fuyang City, was arrested on the afternoon of June 5, 2010 by officers from the Caiji Town Police Station. He is currently held at the Funan County Detention Center.

10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Lixin and Her Sister Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Zhang Lxin and her sister were arrested at home in the Chuanying District of Jilin City in July 2010. They were sent to Shahezhi Brainwashing Center.
11. [Beijing ] Mr. Ma Chaoyu Sent to a Brainwashing Facility
Mr. Ma Chaoyu, from the Haidian District, Beijing, was arrested at home at around 4:00 p.m. on July 6, 2010. He was sent to a brainwashing center.
12. [Wuhan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Xiaomin Arrested
Mr. Wang Xiaomin was arrested at work on July 6, 2010 by agents from the Wuhan City 610 Office.
13. [Renqiu, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Li Arrested
Ms. Zhang Li is an employee at the No. 1 Oil Extraction Factory, Huabei Oil Corp. She was arrested and is currently being held at the Jizhong Detention Center
14. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Feifei Arrested
Ms. Wang Feifei was arrested on the afternoon of July 6, 2010 at her barbershop.
15. [Anyi County, Jiangxi Province] Persecution Cases in Anyi County Domestic Security Division
Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Xiong Minghua, head of the Anyi County Domestic Security Division, and Chen Xuepin, deputy of the division, have been involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
Among the practitioners Ms. Xiong Lexiang, Ms. Liu Juzhen, Ms. Chen Qiulian, Ms. Yu Shiying, Ms. Chen Jingyong, Ms. Zhou Bingxiang, and Ms. Chen Xiaoju, six of them were subjected to forced labor and one of them was sentenced to jail.
The practitioners who have been subjected to detention include Ms. Yang Yuling, Ms. Li Chuanhua, Mr. Yang Jianhua, Ms. Yu Meilan, Ms. Yu Suimei, Ms. Yang Aidi, and Mr. Wang Yilong. All have been forced to pay illegal fines ranging from 5,000 yuan to 20,000 yuan.
16. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Hong's Family Denied Visitation
Ms. Yang Hong from Huludao City, is currently detained at the No. 1 Prison Ward in Liaoning Province Women's Prison. On July 6, 2010, her family came to visit her in jail but were turned away. Because she refused to do hard labor, Ms. Yang Hong has been detained at the prison warehouse for over a year. She has suffered daily, physically and mentally.

Ms. Yu Xiaoyan from Dalian City (the wife of Lawyer Wang Yonghang), was arrested on July 5, 2010. She was sent to the Fushun Brainwashing Center.
18. [Tianjing ] Ms. Sun Fuai Held in Beicaoba Detention Center
Ms. Sun Fuai was arrested on June 29, 2010 by officers from the Changhong Police Station. She is currently held in the Beicaoba Detention Center, Nankai District.
