Facts about Crimes Committed by Officials from the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City

(Clearwisdom.net) In February 2009, 610 Office branches from Gansu Province and Committee of Political and Legislative Affairs organized a so-called "specialist group." The group moved into the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City and stayed there for two weeks. They threatened to imprison Falun Dafa practitioners and attempted to make them give up their faith. In the end, they failed in their goal.

On February 20, 2009, Qi Ruijun, head of the brainwashing center, got drunk and struck Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Su Jinxiu in the face. Ms. Su's face turned black and blue. Later, practitioner Niu Wanjiang saw her face and asked her what happened. Upon seeing that, guard Qiao Houquan and collaborator Liao Yongtian started beating Niu Wanjiang. Practitioner Guan Longshan stepped in to stop them. The next day, Niu Wangjiang, Su Jinxiu, Du Wenhui, Guan Longshan, Zhang Chunlian and Dong Xiulan started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Three days later, Su Jinxiu and Du Wenhui were punitively force-fed. Niu Wanjiang was forcibly infused with fluid. During the infusion, prison doctor Ma Xin beat Niu Wanjiang. Su Jinxiu, Du Wenhui, and Niu Wanjiang were force-fed for six days.

On April 22, 2009, an official from the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City forced imprisoned practitioners to leave their cells to do janitorial work. After practitioners left their cells, guard Liu Xin came inside to search and took away Su Jinxiu's copy of Teacher's articles. Liu handed them to Qi Ruijun, the head of the 610 Office. Su Jinxiu asked for them back and started a hunger strike on April 23. Niu Wanjiang, Dong Xiulan, Du Wenhui, Hou Yanqing, and Chen Guifang also started hunger strikes to protest the persecution. On April 27, those practitioners were cruelly force-fed. Niu Wanjiang, Su Jinxiu, Du Wenhui, and Chen Guifang were locked to bed racks on the main floor of the brainwashing center. At 3:00 a.m., Su Jinxiu, Du Wenhui, and Chen Guifang were unlocked. Niu Wangjiang, who had been on a hunger strike for nine days, is still locked there.

When people asked the local authorities to release Niu Wanjiang, Director Zhang Mingquan of the 610 Office of the Lanzhou City Public Security Bureau said, "Niu Wanjiang cannot be released. We have enough money. We will send money to the brainwashing center and we definitely will not let Niu Wanjiang be released."

When Niu Wanjiang's family questioned the officials about Niu Wanjiang being force-fed, locked up, suspended in the air and beaten, Dong Jianmin, the Director of the 610 Office of Chengguan District in Lanzhou City, said, "Who said that? Do you have proof? Go ahead and search and see whether you can find proof. Niu Wanjiang will not be released until he swears against Dafa. It is Niu Wanjiang who doesn't want to go home."

Guard Qiao Houquan, about thirty-seven years old, is a farmer from Gaolan in Gansu Province. Qiao Houquan has beaten Niu Wanjiang many times.

Collaborator Liao Yongtian, male, in his sixties, is a farmer from Yongdeng. He physically abused Qian Shiguang many times.

Collaborator Qin Hongxia, female, about thirty-four years old, is a farmer from Dingxi. Qin Hongxia often physically abused Falun Dafa practitioners. In the guardhouse, she kept practitioners from drinking water or using the restroom. She kept Qin Shizhen from doing the Falun Gong exercises and would not let her sleep.

Collaborator Ju Youhua, female, about thirty-six years old, is a farmer from Yaojie. She beat and swore at practitioners and stopped Han Zhongcui from doing the Falun Gong exercises. She also kept Li Hongping, Wang Caixia and Su Jinxiu from practicing Falun Gong, and often physically abused Qian Shiguang. In 2008, she often beat and abused Liu Wanqiu, and kept practitioners from receiving warm water in the winter.
