Peru: Practitioners Introduce Falun Gong in Arequipa (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners from Lima, Peru held activities to introduce Falun Gong in Arequipa from October 15-20, 2009.

After riding a bus for sixteen hours, the practitioners arrived in Arequipa, "The White City." They distributed informational brochures on the Plaza des Armas. People were fascinated by the words "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" on the practitioners' T-shirts and asked practitioners for brochures. It was more busy than usual on Plaza des Armas because of religious activities in Arequipa and surrounding areas. The brochures went quickly.

On top of a tour bus, practitioners spread the news of Falun Dafa to people throughout the city and tourists from all over the world.

Arequipa was named a UNESCO world heritage site. Having survived many earthquakes, buildings of Incan and Spanish colonial styles stand erect around the city. Practitioners rode on the top level of a tour bus and spread the news of Falun Dafa to people throughout the city and tourists from all over the world.

Practitioners visited the local newspaper, TV stations and other media and received great attention. Three TV channels interviewed the group. A local cable station and Channel 39 broadcast the group practicing the Falun Gong exercises.

After finishing the exercises, practitioners saw a beautiful halo around sun.

There is a group exercise site in Parque Selva Alegre. Most of the practitioners there are new. Local practitioners happily shared their cultivation experience with those from Lima. More than twenty newcomers joined the Falun Gong exercises on Sunday. Practitioners saw a beautiful halo around the sun after finishing the exercises.
