More Information About the Death of Mr. Li Zhiqin in Ningjin County, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Zhiqin was from Ningjin County, Hebei Province. On the evening of September 11, 2007, officials from the Ningjin County 610 Office and the Zhao County 610 Office went to Mr. Li Zhiqin's rented house in Zhao County where they illegally arrested him and ransacked his home. He was tortured to death that evening.

Mr. Li Zhiqin, approximately 50 years old, was from Xiaozao Village, Ningjin County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Before he practiced Falun Gong, he had severe pulmonary tuberculosis. After practicing Falun Gong, he regained his health, which showed that Falun Gong has a miraculous efficacy in healing. Mr. Li was very steadfast in his belief in Falun Dafa. He clarified the facts to validate Dafa and expose the persecution.

In April 2006, the officials of Ningjin County National Security Team and 610 Office persecuted him. As a result, he became homeless and fled to Zhao County, Shijiazhuang City to work for a living. He rented a private residence in Zhao County where he lived temporarily.

At around 11:00 p.m. on September 11, 2007, the head of Ningjin County 610 Office, Shen Jianzhong, together with policemen from Xingtai City, Shijiazhuang City, Ningjin County and Zhao County Police Department, broke into Mr. Li Zhiqin's rented house. They claimed that Mr. Li was reported for distributing truth-clarification materials. Therefore, they ransacked his home and arrested him.

Mr. Li Zhiqin was tortured to death the same day. His body was sent to Xingtai City Cremation Factory by the Ningjin County National Security Team, and it was cremated. It is reported that within three hours of Mr. Li's arrest, he was tortured to death.

After Mr. Li Zhiqin was tortured to death, the Jingjin County Party committee and government did not inform his family right away. Instead, they waited two days and told them that Mr. Li died as a result of a "heart disease" relapse. They allowed his family only a glance at his body, and then immediately cremated it. In addition, they paid 10,000 yuan to Mr. Li's family and threatened them not to contact other practitioners. Otherwise, they said they would arrest each practitioner who came to visit them.

After Li Zhiqin began to practice Falun Gong, he did not need to take any medicine, and he never had any symptoms of heart disease, yet the Communist agents claimed that he died from "heart disease." Although his family merely gave his body a glance, they saw that there were areas of black and blue scars on his legs. The policemen did not allow the family to see his upper body at all.

Ningjin County 610 Office head Shen Jianzhong is the person mainly responsible for torturing Mr. Li to death. The persecution of practitioners in Ningjin County has been arranged and carried out by him. Practitioner Mr. Tao Shangen from Puxing Village, Dongwang Township, Ningjin County, was arrested in October 2002. Later, he was detained in the Ningjin County Detention Center. In February 2003, the guards incited the inmates to savagely beat him to death.
