Mr. Feng Jianyong, a Practitioner from Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province, Died as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Feng Jianyong was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province. In order to avoid police harassment, he was forced to leave his home and go into hiding. He died on October 21, 2004, from the persecution.

Mr. Feng Jianyong, 30 years old, was from Tunnan Village in Xiangling Town, Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province. Officers from the Xiangfen County Police Department arrested him and held him in custody for over eight months after he went to Beijing to peacefully appeal in October 1999. The police also extorted 1,000 yuan in cash from him. In November 2002, a group of officers from the Xiangling Police Station in Xiangfen County broke into his home to conduct an unwarranted search. The police found Falun Dafa books and were ready to place him under arrest. He managed to escape with the help of his mother and the neighbors.

In order to avoid police harassment, Mr. Feng was forced to leave town and was homeless for a long time. Over the past two years, he has suffered both mentally and physically. As he was not able to regularly study the Fa and practice the exercises, he developed physical complications, which caused swelling in his body. At the beginning of October 2004, his family sent him to Linfen City Hospital for emergency treatment. At the same time, Chai Jishan, an officer from the Political Security Section of the Xiangfen County Police Department, led police to the hospital to intimidate and harass Mr. Feng. They ordered the doctors and nurses to keep watch on him and not let him leave the hospital on his own. The police also coerced Mr. Feng's family to file paperwork for his medical parole. Weighed down by the burden of this mental and physical stress, Mr. Feng died on October 21, 2004.

Cellular number of police officer Chai Jishan: 86-13935775558.
