1. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Officials of the No. 854 Farm Assist in Arresting Falun Dafa Practitioners
During the Chinese Spring Festival season (the latter half of January 2004) Falun Dafa practitioners in the No. 854 Farm of Hulin City documented the persecution they have experienced and produced leaflets for distribution in order to explain the facts to the public. Local officials who participated in the persecution were greatly shocked. Hao Linhou, Head of the farm was outraged.
Prior the Chinese New Year's Eve, Ms. Xiao Chunying, in her sixties, was connecting trains in the Mudanjiang Railroad Station when security staff found Falun Gong materials in her bag. The Mudanjiang Railroad Police Division arrested her.
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiang Jihong, in her forties, has been persecuted many times. On January 30, assisted by leaders of the No. 854 Farm, the Mudanjiang Railroad Station Police Department, based on an internally compiled list, took Ms. Xiang to Mudanjiang City.
On February 9, 2004, again with the assistance from the No. 854 Farm, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ding Xinghua's home was unlawfully searched. Ms. Ding is in her forties and has been persecuted by the farm leaders who sent her to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years and have twice before assisted the police with her arrest. She has also been taken to Jiamusi City.

2. [Feidong County, Anhui Province] Cases of Abused Falun Dafa Practitioners
Ms. Zhang Guiqin, in her thirties, was brutally beaten at a detention center in June 2000. After over twenty days of continuous torture, she was in critical condition. The detention center authorities were afraid of being held responsible for her death, so they released her, and she died soon afterward. Her two daughters are in middle school, and her husband, Guan Weihai, also a Falun Dafa practitioner that has been arrested several times, has lost his job. After Ms. Zhang's death, Falun Dafa practitioners from Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province, came to attend the funeral service. The police were worried that the news of her death would spread, so they unlawfully detained her husband for fifteen days.
Ms. Li Cuiping, in her fifties, and Ms. Song Ling, in her seventies, had been held in custody numerous times for practicing Falun Dafa. In 2002, they were arrested for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Both were unlawfully sentenced to prison. Ms. Song is serving out her term under house arrest due to her age.
Ms. Zhang Yushu, in her fifties, has been unlawfully detained numerous times, and endured inhumane torture. Once, she was stretched out and tied to a board for nine hours. Not until she was at the brink of death and her cellmates persistently cried for help did the police finally take her off the board. Later, she was unlawfully sentenced to two years of forced labor, the term for which expired at the end of 2002. After her release, she went to a photocopying shop to print Falun Gong materials, and she was reported to the police. She has since been sentenced to prison.

3. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Yanping under Arrest Again
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yanping, 36, is from the Guanli District of the Liaohe Farm in Siping City. She went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa just prior to the Chinese Lunar New Years Day in January 2004 and was unlawfully placed under arrest. She is being held the Siping City Detention Center. She had been sent to forced labor camps three times prior to this.
In addition, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Dai Chunhua, 33, formerly a nurse at the Lishu County No. 1 People's Hospital in Jilin Province, died from the brutality inflicted by the Siping Police in early 2002.

On February 16, 2004, the Qimaocheng Police Station in the Luyuan District of Changchun City arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qi Xiuhong, an employee of the No. 1 Automobile Works. Plainclothes police had been on stakeout near her residence.

5. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Shefang Persecuted
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Shufang, 60 years old, is a farmer in Sanjiazi Village, Beidahu, Yongji County, Jilin Province. People who had been deceived by the propaganda put forth by Jiang's regime about the persecution of Falun Gong reported Ms. Liu Shufang to the police while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials in 2003. Ms. Liu was subsequently sentenced to three years of forced labor at Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, where she is currently being held.

6. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Elderly Teacher, Gao Xiangzhi, Passes Away Due to Unjust Treatment
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Gao Xiangzhi, over 70 years of age, was a retired teacher in Jiajinkou Town, Gongyi City. Gao began practicing Falun Dafa in January 1997, and was extremely resolute in his belief. After practicing Falun Gong, all of Gao's chronic illnesses disappeared.
After July 20, 1999, as part of the Jiang regime's persecution, the local Jiajinkou government and police station went after Falun Dafa practitioners everywhere, ransacking their homes, confiscating Falun Dafa books and materials and holding brainwashing sessions. Falun Gong followers were coerced into cursing Falun Dafa and its founder, and were required to report to the police station three times a day, even after writing so-called "guarantee statements" [renouncing Falun Gong]. All of these mental and physical abuses had deprived Gao of the opportunity to read Falun Dafa books, or to practice the Falun Gong exercises. Eventually, Gao Xiangzhi passed away as a result the unjust treatment.
7. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Wu Xiangying and Her Son Tian Zhimin Unlawfully Sent to Forced Labor Camps
On the evening of November 16, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioners Wu Xiangying, in her fifties, and her son Tian Zhimin, 23 years old, were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at Zaohang Village, in Zhuhan Town. Informants spotted them and called the police. The two practitioners were taken into custody and severely beaten. Ms. Wu was later sentenced to three years of forced labor at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Tian was also sentenced to three years of forced labor at Changle Forced Labor Camp.
8. [Fuyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Police Take Falun Dafa Practitioner Dai Zhizhong to the Forced Labor Camp Again
Dai Zhong is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Conggou Township in Fuyuan County, Heilongjiang Province. Two days before the Chinese Lunar New Year's Day in January, Dai was carried home from the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp in critical condition as a result of police brutality at the camp. Recently, after Tai's health had improved a little, the police returned him to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp.

9. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Shuangcheng City "610 Office" and Police Department Arrest Numerous Falun Dafa Practitioners
On the evening of Falun Dafa Day (February 12, 2004), as well as on the previous day, two extensive police roundups were carried out against Falun Dafa practitioners in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. It has been reported that eight female Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested. They are Lu Guizhen, Yu Xianna, Liu Junshuang, Lin Yanjie, Zhang Hongmei, Wang Xiuju, Meng Qingzhi, and Mu Xiuqing. Five male practitioners who were also arrested are: Zhang Shiping, Jia Ying, You Shiguo, Wang Shiwei, and Guo Shijun.

10. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Cases of Shashi District Falun Dafa Practitioners under Persecution
In Shashi District, Jingzhou City, at least ten Falun Dafa practitioners have been sentenced to three to five years of forced labor, including Chen Youhong, Liu Yazhen, Chen Jingjiang, Yang Xianfeng, Deng Tianyu, Xu Ying, Dai Tangfu, Li Zhangming, Shi Yuliang, Cheng Jiawang, and Zhou Derong. There have been more than twenty occurrences of forcibly transferring Falun Dafa practitioners to the forced labor camp. Among the victims are Guan Mingfeng, Jin Haiyan (twice), Zong Aifang, Song Chang, Fu Wanhua, Qian Hui, Jiang Dalin (twice), Rui Niangui, Liu Yong, Xie Lijuan, Dai Rong, Zheng Guangfen, Wang Qiong, Li Yongfang, Zheng Xiaofang, Nai Xinfang, Cai Xiaolian, and Zhang Yuhua. There have been over two hundred cases of unlawfully extending the duration of custody for practitioners. In addition, a large number of practitioners were forced into brainwashing classes.

On February 10, 2004, police officers from the local police station in Tonglu County abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Peng Xiaodong into custody, where he still remains.

12. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Chaonan District Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhou Xuyuan Taken to a Brainwashing Center
On February 12, 2004, various officials broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Xuyuan's home. Among the group were officials from the Chaonan District Police Department in Shantou City, Qiu of the "610 Office," Liu Xiaodong of the district's comprehensive management office, Wu Weibo of the Xiashan Town Police Station and members of the Residential Committee. They found one leaflet that exposed the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong and some videotapes of Falun Gong lectures. On the following day, they used this leaflet as their excuse for forcibly abducting Zhou Xuyuan to the brainwashing session located in the Political and Judiciary Committee Building on Haibin Road in Shantou City.

13. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Yuan Qinglun, Zhang Xiaolan and Liu Xiuqin Abducted
Late in the evening on February 3, 2004, in preparation for the Benxi City Falun Dafa Day on February 4, practitioners Mr. Yuan Qinglun, Ms. Zhang Xiaolan and Ms. Lin Xiuqin went to Xujia Township, in the Nanfen District of Benxi City, to hang banners and distribute leaflets. Director Fan, of the township's patrolling security brigade, led two security staffers in arresting the practitioners, who were then taken to the Guojia Police Station in Nanfen District. 14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
On the afternoon of January 12, 2004, several dozen police officers broke into a one-story house near Hunhe Station in Shenyang City. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhai Hui, Ms. Li Caixia, and a female practitioner from out of town were arrested. 17. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Members of the "610 Office" and Police Arrest Ms. Tang Hui and Other Falun Dafa Practitioners
On January 29, 2004, in an effort to apprehend those who had tapped into closed-circuit TV programs, agents of the Handan "610 Office" and officers from the Congtai Branch Police Station took into custody the entire family of a cousin of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Hui. The cousin and her family are not practitioners, and under great duress, they revealed Ms. Tang's whereabouts. On the same evening, Ms. Tang Hui and another practitioner were arrested.
On February 5, 2004, Handan Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Han Meng was taken to the Liangfangdong Police Station after informants called the police because he was clarifying the facts to the public. Mr. Han is being held in Handan No. 1 Detention Center.
18 [Chongqing] Dr. Liu Yunming, a Physician in Jiangjin, Unlawfully Arrested
On January 15, 2004, police in Rentuo, Jiangjin arrested Chongqing Falun Dafa practitioner Dr. Liu Yunming, a physician, about 50 years old. Prior to his arrest, Liu had been forced to stay away from his home and move from place to place to avoid the persecution. Dr. Liu's telephone number is 86-23-47609343 (home).
19. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Officers at the Handan Forced Labor Camp Torture Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Fengshan
Mr. Li Fengshan is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Quzhou County, Handan City. Arrested by the local police station in April 2003, Mr. Li was sent to the Handan Forced Labor Camp without going through any legal procedures. The police so brutally tortured him that Li lost consciousness for an extended period of time. He wrote and signed the "four statements" [renouncing Falun Gong] before fully coming to his senses. After he fully regained consciousness, the police ordered him to write articles attacking Falun Dafa and its founder. Li then resolutely refused. The outraged officers handcuffed him to a tree in the yard, and then ordered several inmates and collaborators to torture him. [The collaborators are former Falun Gong practitioners who had gone astray due to brainwashing and torture.] Mr. Li remains in custody at the forced labor camp, enduring all kinds of abuse.
20. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Officers from the Chouzhuang Police Station Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Haiping and Her Non-Practitioner Husband
Around 9:00 a.m. on February 13, 2004, seven or eight thugs broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Haiping. They forcibly took Ms. Sun and her husband, who is not a practitioner, to the police station. Later that same evening, they also ransacked the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Wenjun, in Yuezhuang City, and took Liu away. The whereabouts of those who were abducted remain unknown.
21. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Hua Caixia Imprisoned at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp over Two Years
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hua Caixia, 35, was unlawfully taken to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp two years ago, and has remained there ever since.
22. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Yanjin and Other Falun Dafa Practitioners Remain Unlawfully Imprisoned at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Huang Yanjin, Ms. Li Xiuqin and Ms. Wang Yanqiu are from Dawangzhangzi in Lingyuan City. In 2000, they were unlawfully taken to the Dawangzhangzi Detention Center and detained for over a month before being released. In August of 2002, the practitioners were again taken to the detention center for refusing to give up their practice of and belief in Falun Dafa. They have since been transferred to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

23. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Numerous Falun Dafa Practitioners Unlawfully Arrested by the Nu'er Police Station in Taihe District
Around 7:00 p.m. on February 15, 2004, the police broke into the home of Ms. Jin Yuzhen, a Falun Dafa practitioner at Wanghutai Village in Nu'erhe Township, Taihe District, Jinzhou City. Besides Ms. Jin, eight other people were watching the videotaped lecture by Falun Dafa's founder, including her husband Zhang Shaoshan, 70-year-old Wang Dehua and son Han Guojun, Di Qingfu and his wife, Di Baosen and his wife Chen Xiujuan, and Li Chunming. The police took all nine of them to the Nu'erhe Police Station. Mr. Di Qingfu and his wife were later released because of their advanced ages.
Around 11:50 p.m. on the same night, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Xiaomin had gone to Liu Minchun's home to get more information on what had happened to the others, but when he got there, police officers were already there notifying Liu's family about the detention. Wang was interrogated and later placed in custody. These eight people are currently being held at Jinzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

24. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Numerous Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested
After the unlawful arrests of Mr. Cheng Peiju and his son, Lu Zhonghai, Li Fen, more Falun Dafa practitioners have been arrested, detained or otherwise harassed.
On January 27, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ma Xiaofen was detained for three days.
Late in the evening on January 30, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Suyun was arrested in Mingyang Village, and quickly taken away without even being allowed to put on shoes.
Late in the evening on January 31, 2004, officers from the No. 5 Crime Investigation Brigade climbed over a residence wall and abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Bao Yinqiang.
Around January 31, 2004, officers from the No. 3 Crime Investigation Brigade and from the Liuying Police Station ransacked the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Hu Jinshe. Allegedly looking for Falun Gong materials, they cut open mattresses and body-searched Hu's wife.
Around January 31, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Li Jianmin was forced to leave home to avoid arrest after the police had made two previous visits attempting an arrest.
Around January 31, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Han Xueli, of the Leather and Cotton Warehouse, was forced to leave home after the police had previously attempted an arrest.
Late in the evening on February 3, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Jin Guihua, a Post Office employee, was arrested.
