My name is Wang Sufen; I am from Shanghai.  I obtained Dafa in November 1994.

In December, I was very fortunate to attend the Teacher's lecturer in Guangzhou. After the ten-day lecture, I was enlightened to many principles that I never understood before.  By the time I completed the ten-day lecture, my life that had been filled with forty years of pain had caused me to weigh less than 90 pounds.  I was unable to sleep or eat properly because of the many chronic stomach diseases that kept me weak and dizzy.  My meals consisted of a few spoons of food and my nights were filled with pain and sleeplessness.

A few days after practicing Falun Gong, forty some years of stomach diseases just seemed to disappear.  My stomach stopped hurting completely.  I was so surprised.  I knew I was saved.

After Teacher's Guangzhou lecture I understood that to practice Falun Gong one must value virtue and improve one's xinxing.  In Zhuan Falun Teacher said: "The more one gains, the more one infringes upon others.  One will get things one does not deserve.  This person will be attached to fame and profit, thus losing de."  My husband was an electronic technician for a real estate company.  Suppliers always wanted to promote their merchandises.  In 1994 they gave my husband a 10,000 Yuan gift.  After I began to study the Fa I realized as a practitioner my husband should not have taken the money. Therefore, I discussed the situation with my husband.  We decided to return the money.

In September 1995, another supplier gave my husband money.  We returned the money immediately.  But the supplier did not want to take it back.  Finally my husband said if they would not accept the money he would have to turn it over to the authorities.

Through Falun Dafa cultivation my health has improved and my mind is clear. However, as a Dafa practitioner, I should not only care about myself. Teacher taught us to be noble, selfless people and to continuously raise to a higher level and finally return to the true self.  In the past, encountering a small tribulation would cause my temper to turn bad.  Now that I am a practitioner I can forebear it.  My family has become more harmonies.  It is true that when one practices Falun Gong, the whole family benefits.

On July 20, 1999, the entire cultivation environment suddenly changed. Because of a lack of a deep understanding of Dafa and many remaining attachments, I did something that a practitioner should not do.  One day three policemen from the Police Department came to my home.  At first, they wanted me to tell them the status of our practice site.  I told them that the practice site is all outdoors where everything is public.  When I was asked about Dafa materials, I didn't know what to say.  I gave them some Dafa books.  Later I realized my attachment of fear had caused me to hand over the books.  I felt terrible.  As a Dafa practitioner, how could I not protect Dafa books?  I regretted my action and was disappointed with myself.  Teacher said in Zhuan Falun:  "Some people just cannot improve their enlightenment quality.  They casually make marks in my book.  Those of our practitioners with the Celestial Eye open can each see that this book looks very colorful, golden, and shiny.  Each word bears the image of my fashen."  "This book can guide your cultivation practice.  Don't you think it's precious?"  When I read this there was a piecing pain in my heart because I realized the seriousness of what I had done.  I asked myself if I was still considered a practitioner after I gave the Dafa books to the evil forces.  In the midst of pain, I begged Teacher to punish me because I felt unworthy.  If I was punished it would give me some relief.  I deeply regret what I did.

While experience sharing with other practitioners, I realized only steadfast belief in the Fa enables one to over come the test of evil.  I now understand that I must maintain my xinxing in the midst of tribulation.  As long as there is Teacher and the Fa, there is nothing for me to fear.

Through the experience sharing of other practitioners, especially the practitioners from other states, I realized as a practitioner I could not practice at home quietly anymore when Teacher and Dafa were severely slandered by the evil being.  I must step forward to protect the Fa.  I want justice for the Fa and I want them to restore Teacher's reputation.  Where there is no Fa there is no existence of me.

In February of 2000, I traveled to Beijing to appeal to the government. Upon my arrival, I discovered that they would not allow the Falun Gong practitioners to speak at the appeal center.  All practitioners who went to appeal were detained.  What should I do? That time it was just before the opening of the government two-conference. Practitioners from Beijing wrote a letter address to the representatives of the government two-conference to reflect the situation of few individual government leaders' wrong doings of persecuting Falun Gong, and to tell them that Falun Dafa is a righteous practice. Practitioners who came to Beijing to appeal all gave our signatures, addresses and phone numbers.

Upon returning home, the head of the local police department interrogated me wanting to know why I had gone to Beijing. I told him that I had gone to tell the government that, "Falun Gong made me a healthy person.  Falun gong teaches me to be a good person.  What's so wrong about practicing Falun Gong?"  He wanted to know if I would go to Beijing again.  I said, "I might go there again."  He threatened me and said, "For your age, you should think about your children."  I said, "as citizen, we have the right to appeal to the government.  The interrogation did not stop there, the police continued to openly harass me.  But, I always say to myself, as long as I am determined in my heart, they cannot touch me.

This Chinese New Years, the district government official and the head of the local security came to my home and asked me to give my opinion about Falun Gong and the foreign anti-China forces ganging up against the Chinese government.  I told them, "Falun Gong practitioners do not get involved in politics.  That is a rumor started to slander Falun Gong. Everyone should remember the time of the Cultural Revolution and what happened to Liu Shaoqi who was the vice chairman of the country.  The people who had more power than him utilized rumors to frame him.  Now some individual officials are misusing their power to persecute Falun Gong.  The present history will be reevaluated by future generations.  What you've said does not count."  They also threatened me and told me not to contact other people.  I told them, "everyone has relatives and friends and there's nothing wrong with visiting them.  There was no way that I would stop contacting others." Because of the position I had taken, the next day the head of the local police wanted to put me under 24 hour surveillance.  My husband protested.  He stated that they were violating my human rights.  We had done nothing wrong and they eventually backed off.  My husband is not a practitioner, but I saw the power of Dafa manifested in his action.

After the Tiananmen self-immolation incident, the party secretary in our residential district came to my home one day with another official telling me that the "610 Office" (which is in charge of investigating Falun Gong activities) had requested me to write a "pledge letter."  They said that in order to maintain the security of society and our residential district, I had to write a "pledge letter" promising that I would not participate in any future Falun Gong activities.  They said if I wrote the "pledge letter," they would remove my name from their list and would not bother me again. Otherwise, my name would be registered in both the city and the district.  I asked them why I had to write a "pledge letter" since I had done nothing wrong. The authorities were threatening to disrupt my life by harassing me every day.  In the end, they told me that they were also forced to do so and couldn't do anything about it. 

Three days later, three people came to visit me including an official from the "610 Office" and again asked me to write a "pledge letter."  I told them that no matter what they said, I would never write such a thing.  Knowing they could not change my mind, they left and instructed me to let them know whenever I went out.  I didn't pay attention to whatever they said and would never allow evil to direct my actions.  I kept distributing materials and telling the truth as usual and doing what I should do.

Teacher is rectifying the Fa and has done so much for us.  As a Dafa particle, we should eliminate all attachments and catch up with the progress of the Fa rectification, suffocate the evil and finish up the last step in this Fa rectification cultivation.
