  • Rape Victim Liu Jizhi: The Criminals Have Not Received Punishment, Please Do not Let the Voices of Justice Subside

From the editor: The following is the recorded oral account of rape victim Ms. Liu Jizhi. This statement has passed through many hands before it finally reached us.

I am Liu Jizhi, one of the victims raped by police in Hebei Province. The incident has completely changed my life.

Ms. Liu Jizhi (51 years old) suffered from brutal beating and rape. Her hips and thighs are severely bruised

I am over 50 years old. I have two children, and our family lived a harmonious life. After practicing Falun Gong, I became healthy and I recovered from all my illnesses. Then, sadly to say, Jiang's regime began the persecution of Falun Gong -- ransacking homes, extorting money, and detaining and monitoring practitioners. The village government officials often detained my husband (also a practitioner) and I and extorted money from us.

On November 25, 2005, inside Dongchengfang Town Police Station, policeman He Xuejian raped me. I was released after my family members borrowed 3,000 yuan and gave the money to the police. But not before my body was covered with injuries (see photos). I wanted to commit suicide, but Falun Gong and its requirements for its practitioners prevented me from following through with this thought. Life is precious, and I will stand up with all my might and expose the evil to the entire world.

I held my head straight and did not hesitate to describe every detail of what happened to me. I described policeman He's despicable face, and recounted every dirty word that came out of his mouth. I could not help but weep when describing the abuse of practitioners by government officials like Song Xiaobin and Chai Yuqiao. As a woman, the experience of being raped was devastating. Yet, I kept telling myself, "The incident is not just about myself. During 6 years of the persecution, many female practitioners have suffered and are still suffering the same torture and abuse. I am standing up for all of them. I'm calling for help, telling everyone in the world about the tortures we suffered and are suffering. We call for the wheel of justice to turn and to support us. We ask that the criminals be punished, and that our good reputation is restored. I want to let more people know that I, Liu Jizhi, was raped by a Chinese policeman for practicing Falun Gong!"

Only by exposing the crimes can we stop the evil. People with a conscience and a sense of justice -- please help us bring the criminals to justice. At this time, police station staff and the Zhuozhou City police department desperately want to cover up the facts. They broke into my home and arrested me, and then raped me in broad daylight. Now that I have exposed their crimes, will they arrest me again with the excuse that I practice Falun Gong, in order to prevent the truth from being told? Song Xiaobin and Chai Yuqiao took me to the police station, where He Xuejian raped me, and policeman Wang Zengjun watched shamelessly. All these people are responsible for this crime. If they arrest me and prevent Ms. Han Yuzhi and her husband Liu Jianzeng from telling the truth, wouldn't the criminals go unpunished, and wouldn't justice be ignored?

In order to avoid further persecution, I was forced to leave my home. Soon after, I heard that He Xuejian was arrested. A Zhuozhou City TV station publicized it during the news hour. Yet, when I was ready to return home and file a lawsuit against the criminals, I was told that people like Song Xiaobin and Chai Yuqiao had announced all over our village that they would spend 100,000 yuan to arrest me and Ms. Han Yuzhi (who also had left her home to avoid persecution). I was treated as a criminal instead of the victim. I decided not to go home, leaving my husband and children living in fear at home.

My personal experiences and the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party have made me understand many principles. I understand clearly the minds of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials. The local officials will never bring justice to the victims. With all the international attention focused on the incident, they are not able to protect He Xuejian, and they had to arrest him. In fact, these officials are afraid to be implicated -- they have never paid attention to the suffering of the people, let alone brought justice to the Falun Gong practitioners under persecution by the CCP.

The unlawful officials of the CCP do everything to protect and bring gain to themselves. They brutally tortured us under the direction of the CCP's policy of persecuting Falun Gong. When I exposed their crimes, they began to fear deeply that being exposed would destroy their future, and their opportunity to gain wealth would slip through their fingers. As a result, they refused to punish the criminals and tried their best to stop me from talking. They want to stop the voices that condemn their crimes to the world.

This is why I cannot return home now. He Xuejian is not the only criminal. There are other criminals still at large. I cannot return home safely with the criminals unpunished and Falun Gong still under persecution. So I have decided to continue exposing the persecution. I also hope friends from all over the world continue to support us. With the attention and condemnation of people, the bad people don't dare to continue their persecution of good people. With continuous forceful voices demanding punishment of the criminals, they will finally be brought to justice.

Only when justice is returned to Falun Gong, can I return home in a dignified way!

On 100-Thousand-Yuan-Reward Wanted List, Rape Witness Speaks Out in Hebei Province

My name is Wang Helin, I'm male, 53 years old, and I am a farmer who lives in Xituan Village, Dongchengfang Town, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. I had arthritis for more than twenty years before I started practicing Falun Gong in 1999. Only a few months later, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. I was frightened, because I hadn't started the practice for a long time period, so I stopped practicing. After a while, I thought it over carefully, and came to a conclusion that stopping my  practice was wrong. There were 100 million practitioners in the country; how could so many people be deceived all together? My health had improved dramatically upon practicing Falun Gong, and my Master is very righteous. I started cultivating again. I have not taken any medicine in the past six years, and I have been very healthy.

At 8:00 p.m. on November 24, 2005, four policemen stormed into my home and ransacked the place without any warrant. I was about to ask a question when one of them shouted at me, "Stand still!" They absolutely did not allow me to speak. Police Wang Huiqi said, "Someone reported that you practice Falun Gong." They found one copy of Zhuan Falun, several of Master's new articles, one photo of Master, three audio tapes, and two boom boxes. They were trying to arrest me. My over seventy-year-old mother and my wife and child were all frightened. I asked the police, "What crime did I do that allows you to arrest me?" They said, "Don't ask, just go see our bosses."

The police pushed me into their vehicle and took me to the Village Office. The CCP Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Song Xiaobin (male) of Dongchengfang Town was there; he slapped my face, and kicked me as soon as I entered the room. He asked, "Where did you receive the book?" They had arrested about five or six practitioners, one of whom among us was a visiting relative. We were taken to Dongchengfang Town Police Station and locked in the office. Policeman He Xuejian (male) took Ms. Liu Jizhi and Ms. Qu Wenting to be interrogated, and only left plainclothes policeman Li Xuepeng (male) watching. He questioned us one by one and slapped our faces whether we answered his questions or not. He forced us to stand facing the wall, with both arms raised high, and then to squat down. They interrogated Ms. Han Yuzhi and Mr. Wei Baoliang after sending back Ms. Qu Wenting and Ms. Liu Jizhi, and finally interrogated me.

Two policemen, Wang Huiqi and Wang Zengjun (who did the recording), interrogated me. They asked me how many people did group exercise in my home, and who they were. They said we were holding illegal gatherings. I said that people visiting each other does not constitute an illegal gathering. Can you call friends and family eating dinner a gathering? They further questioned me, "Who else practices Falun Gong in your village?" I told them that I could not recall any. Wang Zengjun said, "I'll give you five minutes. If you still cannot remember any names, you will be shocked with electric batons." He left the room. Wang Huiqi knows that the deputy office head Chai Yuqiao was my adopted brother. He said to me, pretending to be nice, "All you need is to tell me one name, then you can leave." I told him, "Let me tell you, if you practiced before, but you stopped practicing, could I give your name out now?" He did not say anything. After five minutes, Wang Zengjun returned with an electric baton to threaten me. I did not pay attention to him, so they took me back to the office. That night, policeman He Xuejian took Ms. Liu Jizhi and Ms. Han Yuzhi out, and they were both crying when they came back to the room. Ms. Liu Jizhi said, "They are inhuman!"

The next morning, the policemen forced us to clean the place. After lunch, He Xuejian took Liu Jizhi to a room. Ms. Liu Jizhi came back 30 minutes later, crying, and said, "That big scoundrel, he committed an inhumane crime. I do not want to live any more." She did not give the details, but I knew it must have been awful. She said she wanted to die. We were all telling her that practitioners should not kill, and that suicide is also a sin. For whom would you be dying? I told her, "It is not your fault, you are innocent." Soon after, police officer He Xuejian called Ms. Han Yuzhi out. She came back after a long time, and kept crying with her head hung down. Policeman He Xuejian came to take her to do cleaning work.

That afternoon we were cleaning the yard. Ms. Liu Jizhi met with Ms. Han Yuzhi, she asked her, "What did they do to you?" Ms. Han Yuzhi replied, "He raped me." They cried so hard while holding together. Policeman He Xuejian ran to them, and said loudly, "What is there to cry about? Go do your work!"

Around 4:00 p.m., three practitioners' families picked them up. The Village CCP secretary Yang Shun came and said that Ms. Qu Wenting, Ms. Liu Jizhi, and I had to wait until tomorrow. Our families came, and they had one thousand yuan each, but the policemen said that they had to pay four thousand yuan.

On the evening of November 25, 2005, they ordered me to add coal to each room's stoves. Policemen Wang Zengjun took Ms. Qu Wenting and Ms. Liu Jizhi to his room (shared with He Xuejian). When I returned to the room, they came back, and told me to force the two female practitioners to stay overnight in the two policemen's room. I thought to myself that it was a bad idea. I said, "No matter how warm it is, don't go there." I let them stay on the bed, and I sat on the chair. I went to the other room to carry some chairs back in, but policeman Xing did not allow me go back, and forced me to stay in his room. They let those two practitioners freeze in that cold room. I knew he was trying to make me keep my mouth shut. He did not want me to be leaking the rape crimes as a witness.

My family went home that night to borrow money. Deputy Head of the Police Station Chai Yuqiao (male) lent our family two thousand yuan, and told my family he convinced his boss to only extort three thousand yuan from our family. I was released the next morning after my family submitted three thousand yuan.

Currently, The CCP Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Song Xiaobin (male) of Dongchengfang Town, the Office Chair Chai Yuqiao, and policeman Wang Huiqi are living in Xituan Village, arranging patrol shifts in the village. They said that they want to arrest the two victims and two witnesses (including myself) again, with a one-hundred-thousand-yuan reward for information providers. The authorities are deceiving and persecuting the most innocent people using our own tax money!

I hereby call on all people with a sense of justice and kind hearts to help us -- the persecuted people -- and pay attention to how the CCP scoundrels spend people's hard-earned tax money.

The CCP's Unrelenting Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Ding Zhenfang Over the Past Six Years (Re-enactment Photos)

The CCP's crimes against the Chinese nation over the past six years have already been well exposed, but since July 20, 1999, the CCP has subjected Falun Gong practitioners to a great amount of torture.

The following case of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ding Zhenfang is just one of the countless examples.

In 2002, Dabei Prison in Shenyang City incarcerated several Falun Gong practitioners. One of them was Ms. Ding Zhenfang, 55, from Dalian. She started Falun Gong practice in 1996. Within two weeks, all of her illnesses including her stomach disease, a spinal disk hernia and pain in her teeth were gone. More importantly, her view of the world also changed, and she decided to abide by Falun Gong's principles to be an ethical, good person.

In July 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime, motivated by envy and greed, launched the cruel persecution. The police system all over the country also started torturing Falun Gong practitioners, including arresting, threatening and torturing them.

In November 1999, Ms. Ding Zhenfang and her husband were arrested in the Ganjingzi District, Dalian City. The arresting officers were Gao Yingzhong, an agent from the Xigang District Police Station and officers from the Shidao Street Police Station. The couple was jailed in the Shidao Street Police Station that night and ordered to sit on a metal chair with their hands locked onto it. The policemen also subjected Ms. Ding to a body search, and confiscated her pager and 40 yuan. Policemen took away everything without giving them any receipt. After searching them, they were sent to the Dalian Detention Center.

Later, policemen searched their house. They confiscated many Falun Gong books, cassettes, videotapes, a cell phone, BP pager, 1,800 yuan in cash and a gold bracelet.

    1. Persecution in the Dalian Detention Center

Ms. Ding's husband was handcuffed behind his back. The handcuffs were so tight that it was hard to release them. His hands were severely swollen. The couple was in the detention center for 22 months and experienced cruel torture.

Once Ms. Ding wrote, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and "Falun Dafa is Great" on her shirt. Chief Wang forcefully slapped her. Later, Wang pulled Ms. Ding into the hallway and beat her for a while. Then, he took Ms. Ding to his office, where he ordered some inmates to cut Ms. Ding's shirt with scissors. She resisted, so they didn't dare to do so, but they did take off Ms. Ding's clothes and locked her onto a metal ring on the ground.

Wang released Ms. Ding only after keeping her locked on the ground for ten days.

Another time Ms. Ding wrote some of Falun Gong's teaching on a wall to let people know that Falun Gong teaches people to be morally upright. The detention center chief, Meng Jun, then locked Ms. Ding onto the ground for over 40 days. The lock ring on the ground prevented her from raising her head or sitting up with her back straight. Her hands and feet were almost locked together. During these 40 days she bled badly. She also shouted "Falun Dafa is great." Chief Wang ordered inmate Kou to beat her. Kou beat her badly. Wang said if Kou beat her to death, Wang would take the responsibility. Kou gagged Ms. Ding's mouth with dirty rags and slapped her face with a shoe. Kou kicked Ms. Ding down. Then he pulled her up and beat her again.

In September 2001, Ms. Ding was illegally sentenced to three years in prison and sent to the women's prison in Shenyang. Her husband was sentenced to three years with four years suspended.

    2. Persecution in the Dabei Women's Prison

When Ms. Ding was first sent to the Dabei Women's Prison, as a means to protest the sentence, she refused to let them take her fingerprints. The 30-year-old woman chief of the Prison Affairs Section took Ms. Ding to her office. A vice chief from the 9th Group, Wu Li, who is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, was also present. The chief asked Ms. Ding why she refused to submit to fingerprinting. Ms. Ding said, "I am not a criminal. Instead, I am a morally upright person who obeys the principles of Falun Gong. I am going to sue Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong!" Then the chief beat her for one hour. Wu Li also slapped her. The Prison Affairs Section chief verbally abused her with foul language and threatened to beat her with an electric baton. Later, they ordered several inmates to take her fingerprints by force. Wu Li took Ms. Ding to the 2nd Squadron of the 9th Group and ordered policeman Yin Xu "to teach her a lesson."

Yin Xu ordered Ms. Ding to learn how to greet captors in the prison and memorize the prison rules. Ms. Ding said, "I am walking on the path of Falun Gong practice, and no power can change me! This Falun Gong practice is very beneficial to the country, to society, to individuals and to the family. I am not a criminal and I am going to sue Jiang for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, slandering my Master and Falun Gong. I will not memorize the prison rules, for sure!" Ms. Ding then tore up the prison rules. Yin was very angry and ordered two inmates to put her under 24-hour surveillance. She then clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the inmates.

They had to go to the prison factory to work at 6 o'clock in the morning and could not return to the dorm until 10:00 at night.

To protest the imprisonment, Ms. Ding started a hunger strike. Into the 6th day of her hunger strike, Prison Affairs Section chief Wu Li and Yin Xu ordered eight inmates to carry Ms. Ding to the prison hospital. Her blood pressure registered 180. Later, Ms. Ding refused to cooperate with them and still kept up the hunger strike.

    3. Persecution in the Dalian Detention Center when arrested the second time

In July 2003, two officers from the Jinian Street Residential Committee arrived at Ms. Ding's home. Ten minutes later policeman Gao Yingzhong from Shijie Street Precinct arrived with other policemen. As soon as the policemen arrived, the two officers from the Residential Committee left. The policemen pushed Ms. Ding into a small room and started searching the house. Ms. Ding asked them to show their legal documents, but they didn't have any. One policeman took photos of her rooms. They confiscated Master Li's picture, Falun Gong books and materials, her son's computer, a copy machine, a VCD player, two tape recorders and the only money they had. She shouted, "Falun Dafa is great." The policemen shut the windows and doors; they were afraid the neighbors would hear it.

They pulled her out of her house without her shoes on and pushed her into a police car. She then realized that this police car had been parked outside her house for several days. Later they sent her to the Dalian Detention Center.

She shouted, "Falun Dafa is great," when she got there. A male police officer said, "Do you want to eat buns?" (by "buns" the policeman meant "death" because the shape of a bun looks like a Chinese tomb). She didn't understand what that meant. The policeman said to her, "Your Master has been caught and I already killed him!" Ding said, "You will receive serious retribution, if you slander my Master and Falun Gong." Then, he beat her badly and yelled, "I am going to beat you to death if you dare to say again that Falun Dafa is great!" Ms. Ding then shouted again, so that man beat her more.

A female police officer, around 40 years old, ordered Ms. Ding to shut up. Ms. Ding told her that Falun Dafa is great and that people in over 60 countries around the world are practicing it. The woman officer beat her also.

Ms. Ding had much physical pain but she felt more pain in her heart, because the CCP's lies had blinded so many people.

Later, Ms. Ding was handcuffed and shackled in the 3rd room of the 7th Prison Ward. Her hands and legs were spread apart and tied onto a bed. (see photo) To protest this torture she started a hunger strike. Policeman Jia Ling and detention center chief Wang Ying ordered an inmate to monitor her. This inmate also insulted and tortured her. After three days on a hunger strike, prison doctor Su Ying force-fed her. Su Ying told Ms. Ding that Su's child was at home, and she could not enjoy her vacation at home because Ms. Ding refused to eat. Ms. Ding gave in and agreed to eat. The persecution got worse. Two policemen from the 1st Section of police department held a trial. One of the officers was Gao Yingzhong.

    "Stretching Bed" Torture

During the trial, Ms. Ding refused to answer any questions, so Gao Yingzhong had to send her back. When they were at the prison gate, several policemen started beating her. One of them pulled her hair and pushed her face against a wall. They held her legs and arms and tried to take pictures. She tried her best to resist and shouted, "It is a crime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners; Falun Dafa is Great!" They beat her again and took pictures. She had wounds all over her body. An old policeman from the Yaojia Detention Center saw this. On the way to her dorm room this old policeman said, "Those people are like the Mafia. It was too horrible. What have Falun Gong practitioners done that they are being treated this way?"

The Yaojia Detention Center's 8th Group was for those who were awaiting a court trial. Ms. Ding was jailed there although she was not awaiting a trial. She was tied to a bed with her legs and arms stretched out. To protest this torture she started another hunger strike.

Prison doctor Su Ying told several inmates to hold Ms. Ding's head, pulling her hair and ears so that Su could insert the feeding tube into her nose. Ding tried her best to resist. Su then slapped her face with a shoe and stepped on her breast. They force-fed her twice a day, but after the food entered the tube, Ms. Ding vomited and spit up all the food and the tube. The doctor ordered people to immobilize Ms. Ding's legs and arms. She force-fed Ms. Ding again after giving her a glucose injection.

Every time Su force-fed Ms. Ding, she cursed her. She told the inmates to curse Master Li. Some inmates refused to do so. Then Su urged inmate Sun Chang to do that and promised that if she did so her sentence would be reduced. So, Sun did it. Sun said later that she didn't want to do that, but she was afraid that they would extend her sentence.

An inmate named Sun Caiyun took all of Ms. Ding's bedding away in order to get her own sentence reduced. Sun cursed other inmates when they tried to help Ms. Ding. Sun Caiyun also beat Ms. Ding, saying Ms. Ding took her sleeping space. Su Ying supported Sun Caiyun's behavior. Sun Caiyun tortured Ms. Ding for eight days. During those eight days Ms. Ding wore only very thin clothes and slept on a cold bed without any bedding. She was also tied on the bed with her legs and arms stretched out.

Once during the force-feeding Ms. Ding vomited blood several times. Su Ying was very angry, so she ordered the inmates to remove all the bedding and pillows that the blood had stained. Chief Wang Ying lashed her with a belt several times and told inmates to pull her hair and hit her head against the hard ground. Wang Ying always asked male criminals to pull her ears with great force but as soon as Wang Ying left the male criminals released her. Since Ms. Ding refused to cooperate with the perpetrators, the male prison doctor poured cold water on her. Inmates Chu Xueming and Jiang Ming kicked and beat her many times. They pulled her down from the bed and force-fed her with her feet and hands immobilized. Even the inmates thought that Su Ying, Wang Ying, Chu Xuemei, Sun Caiyun were too brutal toward Falun Gong practitioners.

Each time she was interrogated, an official from the 1st Section of the police department said to her, "It would be too lenient to you if we only sentenced you to eight or ten years."

After 59 days in hell, Ms. Ding Zhenfang was released from the Yaojia Detention Center without giving in to her captors' demands. Looking at her emaciated body, her husband who was waiting for her outside of the detention center could not even recognize her. He cried.

    4. Persecution in the Dalian Detention Center when arrested the third time

On August 19, 2004, Dalian Xigang Rixin Street Police Station arrested Ms. Ding Zhenfang when she was clarifying the truth on bus. This was the third time she was arrested.

In the police station, she was locked on a metal chair for whole day. The next afternoon she was sent to the Dalian Detention Center.

On the night she was sent to the detention center, many policemen tortured her, including Wang Ying, Su Ying, Guo Weijia, Jia Ling. The torture was as cruel as before. Ms. Ding started a hunger strike again to protest the torture. The chief of the detention center, Jiang Ming, said, "Last time, we let her go in several dozen days, so this time, we should not let her go."

Several policemen beat her at the same time. Later they locked her in the basement, and tied her on the bed with her legs and arms stretched out. They also force-fed her. One week later, Ms. Ding was sent to Dalian Forced Labor Camp to be further persecuted.

    5. Persecution in Dalian Forced Labor Camp

At the beginning of September 2004, without any trial, the Rixin Police Station transferred Ms. Ding from the Dalian Detention Center to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp, along with another Falun Gong practitioner. On the way there, she learned that she was sentenced to three years and the other practitioner was sentenced to two years. She and the other practitioner shouted, "Falun Dafa is great," and clarified the truth on the way. When she got to the forced labor camp, she tore up the prison rules that policemen gave her, so the policemen asked the inmates to beat her and torture her in the solitary cell.

The inmates Zhang Xiujuan and Wang Chong were in charge of the solitary cell. Since a practitioner from Wafangdian could not stand the torture after being forced to stand up for 3 days, she was "reformed." The policemen, Zhang Xiujuan and Wang Chong thought that if they applied more intensive torture to Ms. Ding, she would be reformed too, so they forced her to stand in a metal cage for 5 days, and later locked her onto a stretching bed. (See the photo above)

The policemen locked Ms. Ding's arms and legs onto the metal frame of the bed, and taped her feet and hands. They put three wooden boards under her body and a thick heavy hat on her head. They sealed her mouth and nose with tape, and poked two holes for her to breathe. They poured thick cereal, thick garlic water, and urine into her mouth. They even put a live spider into her mouth. They put 20 some bugs in her clothes (The inmate Wang Chong did that.) and pushed pins into her feet. They pushed steel tubes and chopsticks into her mouth, which made her mouth and tongue rotten and painful. They also poured dirty water on her.

Ms. Ding's body and limbs were covered with wounds. After Wang Chong left, the inmate Lu Jing came. Lu and Zhang Xiujuan pushed toothpicks and pins into her toe nails. When she was weak, they forced her to stand up in a metal cage. Policemen and criminals wrapped her body and head with plastic wrap, which was completely air proof, with two holes for her to breathe. Then they carried her into the metal cage. They inserted a one inch thick wooden board between her feet and the metal frame of the cage, which made her feet swell very badly. It was even worse than the tiger bench. Ms. Ding said, "I would not have been able to survive through it without Master's help. My hands and feet were locked, and my body was wrapped in the plastic. They constantly beat and cursed me to force me to reform. They pulled me around like a ball, but I survived due to my solid belief in Master and Falun Gong.

The team head Zhang transferred an inmate, Yu Yehong, who is from the first team of the forced labor camp, to the solitary cell in order to torture Ms. Ding. The team head Zhang, Lu Jing and Zhang Xiujuan locked Ms. Ding and Yu Yehong's hands together. When Yu was sleeping, they forced Ms. Ding to stand up, so she had to bend her body.

They fed Yu Yehong with meat, and afterwards, they poked Ms. Ding and pressed her breasts and ribs. They also pressed her back. When they did it, they could even feel Ms. Ding's internal organs. They also poked her private parts. They tortured her like that every day. Due to the torture, she became very weak and skinny and she was not able to stand up. But they still put her into a metal cage. Yu Yehong, who is heavy, rode on her neck and pulled her hair, so she could barely breathe. They also inserted dirty cloth and underwear into her mouth.

On the evening of September 29, 2004, they took off all her clothes, and tore her underwear. They inserted the pieces into her mouth. Since she was very firm about the practice, they were very angry. They used all kinds of torture on her. They hung her up and beat her every day for a month. When she was released from the solitary cell, she was already deformed. She could not walk or carry anything by herself. Even so, they still forced her to do labor. If she could not finish her assignment, she was not allowed to sleep. She was punished by being made to stand up until 1 o'clock in the morning every day. On cold days, the policemen asked the inmates to open the windows to freeze her.

The police could not reform Ms. Ding no matter what they did. They had tortured her on the stretching bed and in the solitary cell for more than one month.

On the morning of October 28, 2004, they sent Ms. Ding with seven other Falun Gong practitioners to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, which has a very bad reputation for torturing Falun Gong practitioners.

    6. Torture in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp (From October 29, 2004 to May 29, 2005)

In Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, policemen asked Ms. Ding to study the anti-Falun Gong materials and listen to the anti-Falun Gong broadcast. Ms. Ding refused to do so, and she also refused to wear the prison uniform. She shouted, "Falun Dafa is great," and refused to do the prison exercises. The policemen could do nothing about her, so they locked her in the bathroom. They locked her in the bathroom every day at 4 o'clock in the morning and let her go back to her cell at 10 pm. She was locked in the bathroom 18 hours a day for three and a half months.

Torture: being tied up to a chair

In Masanjia, Ms. Ding was locked in a solitary cell three times for a total of 35 days. The first time, her hands were tied and she was tied onto a bench for 16 days. The second time, she was locked in the cell for 10 days, and she threw up blood due to the torture. The prison doctor tried to force-feed her. She was sent to the hospital, and the doctors asked the policemen not to force-feed her, but the policemen force-fed her cold food anyway. The third time, she was locked in the solitary cell for 9 days. Guard Huang Haiyan forced her to wear the prison uniform. They bought three outfits with Ms. Ding's own money, but she refused to wear them.

    Torture: being tied up

    Torture: Pressing, pulling and stretching

On March 31, the teams were rearranged so that all the solid Falun Gong practitioners were jailed in the first Group. Ms. Ding and other steadfast practitioners were jailed in a cold and damp cell. Although she was already weak, they still forced her to sit on a stool for long time. She protested again.

On April 4, the Group heads, Li, Jiang, the chief of the second women's center, and Zhao Laixi, came into her cell. Zhao Laixi beat practitioners, and force-fed them. Guards stepped on practitioners' arms and legs. They laughed and tortured them. Some guards sat on Ms. Ding's legs.

On April 6, Ding started to throw up blood, and became very thin. She could not eat or drink. They wanted to send her to the hospital, but she refused. Ms. Ding told them that she would be better if they allowed her to do Falun Gong exercises and read Falun Gong books. They didn't listen to her, and sent her to the hospital. The doctor was not even able to detect her pulse, which meant she was in grave danger. They tied her hands and gave her injections and drops. In 15 days, Ms. Ding was not able to talk. Her tongue was swollen and she threw up whatever she was fed. The doctors found that she had a brain disease and probably had a tumor in her brain. The policemen were afraid then, so on May 28, they informed her family to take her home. Ms. Ding Zhenfang again escaped from hell on the morning of May 29, 2005.

Belated News: The Death of Falun Gong Practitioner Zhao Xudong in Lanzhou

On December 7, 2003, an individual named Pei Huaiwei and others illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Xudong, an employee of the Lanzhou Chemical Industrial Company, Gansu Province. Pei is the 6th Division Chief of Lanzhou City National Security Bureau. Mr. Zhao was then illegally detained in the city's 2nd Detention Center. He died in February 5, 2004, due to cruel torture and abuse while in prison.

Mr. Zhao had been detained in the Hualin Mountain Detention Center since December 12, 2003. The prison guards directed prisoners to punch and kick him. Mr. Zhao suffered chest pain for a long time because of this. He went on a hunger strike to protest the abuse under the persecution and was barbarically force-fed. Around 5:00 p.m. on February 5, 2004, after two hours of forced feeding, Mr. Zhao was moved to a bed board and surrounded by 7 or 8 prisoners. He was in critical condition and was sent to a hospital around 7:30 p.m. Mr. Zhao was pronounced dead on arrival.

Afterwards, prison guards moved all 13 detainees from Cell 6 where Mr. Zhao was imprisoned to other cells. They also told detainees that Mr. Zhao was not dead, and warned them not to talk about him. The evildoing person who tortured Mr. Zhao was Qiao Bing, a detainee and the head of Cell 6.

Mr. Zhao Xudong, a man in his 30s, weighed less than 100 pounds when he died. His nostrils were filled with blood, and two thirds of his hair had turned gray. Two months before he was arrested, Mr. Zhao weighed over 160 pounds and had no gray hair.

Zhao Xudong had been arrested and persecuted many times over the last few years of the persecution. In January 23, 2001, Public Security Division personnel from the Lanzhou Chemical Industrial Company arrested and sent him to the Ping An Tai Forced Labor Camp for persecution. In October 2001, Zhao Xudong was in extremely poor health and was emaciated. Only then was he released on medical parole. In March 2002, Mr. Zhao Xudong went to Ping An Tai alone to distribute truth clarification CDs and was again arrested. His family members later rescued him.

Falun Gong Practitioner Hu Shangxue from Yongchang County, Gansu Province Persecuted to Near-blindness at Wuwei Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Hu Shangxue from Yongchang County, Gansu Province, was illegally sentenced to 12 years in prison. When he was detained in Wuwei Prison he almost lost the sight in his right eye. Mr. Hu suffered from high blood pressure and the doctor said he would completely lose his sight without immediate medical treatment. His family tried to bail him out for medical reasons, but the police refused the request.

In early December 2005, Mr. Hu's family members went to prison to visit him, but they were unable to see him. Hu was then secretly transferred to another place. The police refused to reveal the details, and only indicated it was in Jiuquan. Some other practitioners were transferred at the same time. Following is Mr. Hu's story:

Mr. Hu Shangxue, 66 years old, lived in Suimoguan Village, Jiaojiazhuang Township, Yongchang County, Gansu Province. He used to be an employee at a veterinary clinic in Hetan Village, Jiaojiazhuang Township. One day in September 1999, Yongchang County police officer Li Guoyu and three others entered the clinic, searched Hu's home and took away a video recorder and audio player. The clinic director, Chen Kaitai, and the police, forced Hu Shangxue to give up his job, which was his only source of income. At the end of 1999, Officer Li Guoyu once again went to the clinic and took away Falun Gong materials, exercise tapes, pictures of Teacher, an audio player and other items.

Hu Shangxue was forced to leave work in January 2000. The county police arrested him from the clinic and he was held in the county detention center. It was then the coldest season of the year. The police poured cold water on the ground outside of the detention room. The water froze almost instantly. Then they forced Hu to do push-ups on the ice. The skin on Hu's hands stuck to the ice when he lifted his hands up, but he was forced to continue. He eventually lost all the skin on the palms of his hands. The police were particularly savage in attempting to force Hu to give up the practice because they wanted to gain reward money and promotions for "transforming" him.

Twenty days later, Hu's son went to see county police department head Liu Fuhan and asked for his father's release. Hu Shangxue was finally released.

During those detention days, Hu Shangxue and some other practitioners, namely Qin Dexin, Zhang Yanyong and Yue Peifu were tied up with ropes. Those who carried out this torture include police officer Li Guoyu and others. The practitioners had to attend a so-called "Public Criticism and Denunciation Meeting" in Hetan Village that basically slandered Falun Gong in front of the villagers.

In December 2000, Hu Shangxue was requested to go to the county police department and report whether or not he still practiced Falun Gong. Because he said he still did, he was arrested again and detained in the county detention center. During the detention, Hu's blood pressure was so high that he felt dizzy and was unable to walk. The medical examination indicated that he had high blood pressure. When his family went to ask for his release, the detention center officials were afraid to take responsibility for his serious health condition and released him.

Early in the morning of March 14, 2002, officers Li Guoyu, Bai Jilian and others ransacked Hu's home and confiscated truth-clarifying materials. They arrested Hu Shangxue and his wife and held them in the detention center. Two months later, on May 14, the Yuchang County Police Department and the County Judiciary Departments held a so-called "Public Trial Gathering" in the county stadium. More than 30 practitioners were handcuffed and forced to wear signs on their chests marked with words slandering Falun Gong. The police then proceeded to pronounce their judgment before the crowded stadium audience and parade the practitioners along the street. Yuchang County Police and Judiciary Department personnel used this extremely cruel method to subject practitioners to fiendish mental torture and to deceive the common people who did not know the truth.

Immediately following the parading incident, Hu's wife was sentenced to three years in a labor camp. She was sent to the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou City and was later transferred to the Liugouhe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Yuzhong County. Hu Zhangxue was sentenced to 12 years in jail and locked up in the Dashaping Prison. Later he was transferred to the Wuwei Prison. He almost lost sight in his right eye, resulting in a cataract and high blood pressure. The doctor said he would lose his eyesight permanently if he did not immediately receive medical treatment. His family asked to bail him out for medical treatment but the police refused to do so.

In early December 2005 when the family went to the prison to see him, the police refused to allow the visit. There are normally two reasons that the police refuse a family visit. One is the practitioner has been grossly abused and the police are afraid to have him be seen; the other is that the practitioner refuses to cooperate with the evildoers and is put into solitary confinement.

Guard at Fanjiatai Prison, Shayang County: "It's No Big Deal to Beat One or Two People to Death in a Prison"

Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County, Hubei Province is a dark lair of persecution for Falun Gong practitioners. In recent years, vicious people here have been brutally torturing Falun Gong practitioners, concealing the truth, and blocking all news from inside the prison. However, just as paper cannot cover up a fire, we will expose how they have brutally tortured Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Qingshui.

On June 29, 2004, after Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Qingshui from Wuhan City was sent to the Fourth Ward of the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County, because he refused to wear prison clothes and also called out loudly "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is Good", and "Falun Dafa is Good", the prison's CCP Political Commissar Liu Muyang, the Prison Ward Chief Xiao Tianbo, the Political Instructor Xiong Zuguo, the Deputy Political Instructors Wang Qingyi and Zhang Jianguo (all male) personally instructed prisoners to repeatedly beat Mr. Liu.

On the afternoon of August 18, 2004, in the brick factory, the prison guards forced Mr. Liu Shuiqing to do strenuous physical labor. Because Liu Shuiqing refused to cooperate, they ordered prisoners to hang a black sign around Mr. Liu's neck to humiliate him and also to use iron wires to hang bricks from his body. Prison guard Wang Xiongjie led others to punch and kick him. Upon seeing how the prison guards were beating him, other prisoners joined in the beating. As a result, Liu Shuiqing's ribs were fractured.

On the morning of August 19, 2005, in the prison office, the guards knew that their beating had already severely injured Liu Shuiqing, but they still slapped his face. There was also a prison guard shouting threats including, "It is no big deal to beat one or two people to death in a prison."

On the evening of August 19, 2005, prison guards Liu Muyang, Xiao Tianbo and Xiong Zuguo again ordered prisoners to beat Liu Shuiqing. Within the short period of two days, the prison guards had put Mr. Liu through extensive and severe torture. Even bystanders who witnessed the abuse started to shed tears.

How 610 Office Agents and Police Officers in Junan County, Shandong Province Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

Shandong is one of the provinces in China where Falun Gong is most severely persecuted, and within Shandong Province, Junan County is one of the areas where Falun Gong is hardest hit. Since July 1999, the 610 Office and the Junan County Police have been following Jiang's policies and illegally persecuting Falun Gong.

At around 5 p.m. on October 12, 2005, four or five police officers from the 610 Office and the police department of Junan County, including one female officer, illegally searched the home of practitioner Mr. Li Ketong from Lijiagou Village, Zhubian Town, and took away his Falun Gong publications, including Zhuan Falun and other recent articles authored by the founder of Falun Gong.

This pack of thugs later hid in the village and kept 47-year-old practitioner Mr. Li Xuedong under surveillance while he was working in the fields. At 6 o'clock in the evening, they illegally searched his home, confiscating Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials, and then took him away. Afterwards, the authorities at the Junan County 610 Office sent Mr. Li to the Wang Village Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term. With Mr. Li Xuedong illegally detained in the forced labor camp, his wife and two children, one a teenager and the other only five years old, are left at home to fend for themselves.

At about 10 a.m. on November 14 the same group of thugs stormed Mr. Li Ketong's home again to pick him up. It just so happened that practitioner Mr. Meng Fanxiang, who's in his 40s, was at Li's home. The police found a few truth-clarification materials on Mr. Meng, so they took him in as well.

The police kept Mr. Meng at the Junan Detention Center and twice refused to allow his family members to visit him. On December 12 officials at the Junan 610 Office sent Mr. Meng to the Wang Village Forced Labor Camp for a two-year term. His wife, his two children, and his parents, who are in their 70s or 80s, are left without care.

Not long after Mr. Li Ketong was illegally arrested and taken to the Zhubian Police Station, Sun Qinke, a thuggish law enforcement officer and a former Baijialing villager from Shizilu Town, along with two more officers, sent Mr. Li to the Linyi Brainwashing Center for a month. Mr. Li was not released until December 14. Upon his release, they initially ordered his wife to pay 3000 yuan for food and lodging but they later agreed to reduce the fee to 2000 yuan when she told them she had no money. They told her to borrow the money from her relatives. She tried but couldn't get any. A cadre with the surname of Cui from Zhubian Town and three members of the Lijiagou Village committee, including the Party secretary and the director, went to Mr. Li's home three or four times, demanding money from his wife. She told them, "I really couldn't get any money from anyone."

Cui barked, "If you don't give us the money, we'll use a bulldozer to flatten your house! Then we'll see if you still refuse to pay!" The Li's now live in constant fear.

The Brutality of Liu Xipeng, Head of the Junan County 610 Office in Shandong Province

The following is an account of some of the crimes committed by Liu Xipeng, head of the Junan County 610 Office in Shandong Province.

Liu Xipeng, male, in his 50s, is originally from the Fifth Village of Shizilu Town, Junan County, Shandong Province. Liu is married to Wang Lanying and they have a son and a daughter. Liu's wife, Wang Lanying, is from Wangzhuang, Banquan Town, Junan County, Shandong Province. Wang used to work in a printing company. Liu was a policeman, and under his protection, his wife ran a gambling casino and a brothel, using "hotels" as a cover for the illegal businesses.

In 2005, Linyi County police showed up at Liu's business unannounced and arrested a lot of gamblers in the hotel. Liu was panicked at the time and did everything he could to seek special favors. Finally, he paid off the officials and was not convicted. At the time, Liu was the head of the 610 Office and was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in Junan County. As a result, Liu was not convicted, but his wife went to jail for a month. Everyone in Junan County knew about the scandal of Liu running an illegal business while still a policeman. People spoke ill of Liu and he became notorious. But after a while, the news died down and Liu again helped his wife to find another place to run the same illegal business. It was heard that Liu's wife hid on the third floor and handled the business from there while Liu would go in and out of the "hotel" in his police uniform to protect his wife's business.

The following is how Liu Xipeng persecutes Falun Gong practitioners:

In 2002, when Liu was the head officer in Zhubian Town, he arrested two Falun Gong practitioners who hung truth clarification banners in the vicinity of Lianzipo Village in Zhubian Town. The two practitioners were Ren Zeng'gui, who worked at the county people's hospital at the time, and a practitioner surnamed Cao (first name unknown). In 2004, practitioners Ms. Gong Maoxiu and Ms. Ge Qiaoli rented a car and went to Zhubian Town to distribute Falun Gong truth clarification materials. Liu arrested these two practitioners and the driver and sent them to a prison to be persecuted.

At the end of 2004, Liu was transferred to Junan County to be the head of the 610 Office there. Together with others in the 610 Office, Zhang Dianyun (female, in her 40s, deputy head of the 610 Office), Ma Zongtao, Chen Xin, and Zhuang Xuru followed the path of former Junan 610 officers Lu Xiutian, Yang Qizheng, and Peng Zhimin. Liu and the others confiscated Falun Gong practitioners' household property, arrested, beat, tortured, and imprisoned practitioners and sent them to forced labor camps. Their action resulted in many broken families, hardships and deaths of practitioners in Junan County. The whole of Junan County was in chaos and people had no peace.

On May 11, 2005, Liu ordered thugs to confiscate the household property of five practitioners: Ms. Chen Xinxia, Ms. Xiao Mingxia, Ms. Sun Li, Ms. Yan Xia, and Ms. Zhao Erhua, who lived in Shigo Village, Shizilu Town, Junan County. Ms. Chen and Ms. Xiao were illegally arrested and brutally beaten by Ma Zongtao and later sent to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Chen was sent home later because she acquired hepatitis B due to the persecution. Ms. Sun was arrested on July 6 and quickly sent to a forced labor camp.

On August 11, 2005, the household property of practitioner Wang Xianxue from Duojuguan Village, Dadian Town, was illegally confiscated. On August 12, 2005, the household property of practitioners Ji Xingshu, Ji Xingcai, and Ji Xingzhen from Yanbian Town was confiscated and these practitioners were arrested. The household property of practitioners Peng Xiuzhan and Li Baoshan from Shigo Village, Dadian Town, was confiscated and they were arrested. The household property of practitioner Yang Guangzhen's mother in law from Sijiaoling village was confiscated. A few days later, practitioner Cui Jian'ai's property was confiscated and Cui was arrested. Among these practitioners, Ji Xingshu, Ji Xingcai, Peng Xiuzhang, Li Baoshan, and Cui Jian'ai were all sent to a forced labor camp.

On October 9, 2005, practitioner He Xiangtian from Duojuguan Village, Dadian Town, was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp, and He's property was confiscated. On October 11, practitioner Liu Xuejie, who ran a photo shop in Zhuanggang Town, was arrested and Liu's property was confiscated. Liu was taken to Linyi City for seven to eight days and then sent to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp. On the afternoon of October 12, practitioner Li Ketong from Lijiago Village, Zhubian Town, had his property confiscated. Practitioner Li Xuedong from Lijiago Village also had his property confiscated and was sent to a forced labor camp.

At about 10:00 a.m. on November 14, 2005, practitioner Li Ketong from Lijiagou Village was arrested at home. Practitioner Meng Fanxiang who was at Li's home at the time was also arrested. Li Ketong was persecuted in the Linyi Brainwashing Center for a month and released. Meng Fanxiang was sentenced to two years and sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. On November 15, Liu Xipeng ordered the arrest of practitioner Ms. Qu Xiaotong's 74-year-old mother in Taohuayu Village, Tuanlin Town. Ms. Qu Xiaotong and Ms. Qu Beibei were sisters and were imprisoned in the Jinan Prison. Their father died and their 74-year-old mother lived alone. Ms. Qu's mother was detained for a few days before she was sent to the Linyi Brainwashing Center to be persecuted. On December 14, Ms. Qu's mother was allowed to go home but the prison guards extorted the village officers out of 3,000 yuan. Before the guards arrested Ms. Qu's mother, they confiscated her property including Falun Gong exercise tapes, a stereo, and lecture tapes.

On the evening of November 26, the 610 Office arrested 19 practitioners who were having an experience sharing meeting at practitioner Huang Yaqin's house in Shizilu Town. Guard Ma Zongtao brutally beat one of the practitioners, Han Guangmei. The beating was so bad that Ms. Han was sent to a hospital. Four of the practitioners, including Yang Guangzhen were sent to a forced labor camp. Eight or nine of the practitioners were sent to the Linyi Brainwashing Center to be persecuted. Liu Xi'e from Shizilu Town was released after paying a 5,000 yuan fine.

Liu Xipeng sees only profits. After Liu arrested Yang Guangzhen, her family found Liu and asked him to release Ms. Yang. Liu extorted 2,000 yuan from the family and took goods such as brand name tobacco, alcohol and tea with a value over 2,000 yuan. Liu took more than 4,000 yuan from Yang Guangzhen's family and still sentenced Ms. Yang to three years in the Jinan Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Fang Guiming and Ms. Wang Xiuyun Died after Being Imprisoned for Years by Their Families Due to Pressure from CCP

Ms. Fang Guiming and Ms. Wang Xiuyun were elderly Falun Gong practitioners from Xiaoluo Village, Chongyang Town, Chongzhou City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Bullied and threatened by the evil party and Jiang's rascal regime, their family members detained them at home for a long time. Ms. Fang died in July 2001, and Ms. Wang in the spring of 2003.

Before beginning to practice Falun Gong, Ms. Fang Guiming had severe rheumatoid arthritis and paralysis. She lost the ability to walk and could not take care of herself. In 1997 she was happy to find Falun Gong. She had practiced for less than half a year when her body completely recovered. Her body and mind were filled with a joy she had never before experienced. Afterwards she undertook all the housework of three generations in the family. Meanwhile, those people with predestined relationships witnessed the change in her body and mind and started to practice one after the other.

After July 20, 1999, Ms. Fang's family, who had witnessed the miracle of Falun Gong, were threatened by Jiang Zemin's regime and the Chinese Communist Party. Threatened and bullied by the local 610 Office and the party branch of the village, her family members acted as the guards of their family prison and detained her, even though she was over 70 years old, in a room less than 20 square meters. They cut her off from contact with the outside. Under such circumstances, she passed away in July 2001. She was 73 years old.

Ms. Wang Xiuyun had illnesses from head to toe and her body and mind were at the breaking point. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, and after only one month, she recovered completely. She originally could hardly take care of herself and then she not only took on all the housework but also undertook the management of several acres of contracted farmland and a plot of land for personal needs.

After July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime and all levels of the CCP threatened Ms. Wang Xiuyun's family members with the loss of their jobs and subsistence. Her family detained her at home for a long time. Although she protested repeatedly, her family members still kept her locked in a cabin not even 18 square meters. She was deprived of all freedom, and she suffered severely both physically and psychologically. She passed away in the spring of 2003. She was 63 years old.

Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured by National Security Agents in Heping District, Shenyang City

[Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared recently on the Minghui.org website, the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net]

In November 2005, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wang Weichuang and Mr. Yu Jingquan were arrested again by Heping District's national security agents in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, and detained in the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center in Shenyang City. Mr. Wang Weichuang was brutally beaten while hung up by handcuffs with his arms twisted and handcuffed behind the back. His head was severely injured and he suffered from vertigo. He can no longer function normally, and he lives a difficult life. The agents threatened and extorted money from his family with vicious means. His mother lost her eyesight for a period of time as a result of the relentless persecution. Mr. Yu Jingquan is still detained.
