 Falun Gong practitioner Kang Yunling from Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province passed away in August 2005 after suffering from continuous harassment for a year. He was only 36 years old when he passed away. The details are still under investigation.

Mr. Kang Yunling started practicing Falun Gong in 1992. He attended Falun Gong lectures taught by Mr. Li Hongzhi twice. After the persecution began, he was illegally held in a forced labor camp and was brutally persecuted because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. On the afternoon of July 5, 2004, he was arrested when he was clarifying the truth at Dongfeng County. He began a hunger strike on July 7, 2004, and the police force-fed him. His health was severely harmed and he became extremely weak.

After Kang Yunling came out of prison, he became destitute and homeless. The National Security Bureau of Liaoyuan City chased him everywhere and harassed his family many times. During this period, his resources were restricted because of a lack of a source of income. But he was very frugal and still did a lot truth-clarifying work. In July 2005, Kang Yunling's health status made a turn for the worse. His weight dropped to 70 or 80 pounds. Kang Yunling passed away in August 2005.

During my extended imprisonment at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, I went on a hunger strike for 70 days to protest the persecution. At the time when I was released, there were still more than one hundred Falun Gong practitioners who were locked up in a tightly controlled area. Among them, more than ten practitioners had been on a hunger strike for over three months. Ms. Dong Jingzhe from Shenyang City, who took part in the rescue of Ms. Gao Rongrong (1), was on a hunger strike for more than 100 days. The prison doctors were not able to feed her anything through forced feeding because she would vomit blood. They also failed to inject unknown drugs into her. As a result of the brutal persecution, Ms. Dong cannot walk and is on the brink of death. Her life is in imminent danger.

1. More Than One Hundred Falun Gong Practitioners Are Locked Up in a Strictly Monitored Area

As of March 28, 2005, more than one hundred practitioners were locked up in the strictly monitored area. More than 20 male prison guards entered the Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp. Li Mingyu, the Division Captain, and Xie Chengdong, the Deputy Division Captain took the lead in persecuting practitioners. Some practitioners from the No. 1 team of the No. 1 division had burn scars on their chests from being shocked with electric batons.

Ms. Xie Dewen was locked up in a small cell and tied to a small bench for shouting out "Falun Dafa is Wonderful." She spent the 2005 Chinese Lunar New Year in the small cell. In June, she was beaten by the prison guards until she lost consciousness and her eyes were bloodshot. She also went on hunger strikes for a total of five months.

Ms. Xie Yulan, from Dalian City, was jailed for the second time in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Currently, she shows symptoms of uterine cancer and is very weak. On April 25, all the practitioners shouted out "Falun Dafa is good" to mark the anniversary of the "April 25" event, when Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. Division Captain Li Mingyu beat Ms. Xie until she felt dizzy and could hardly walk. Four male guards then dragged her to a small cell and continued their torture. She lost consciousness several times in the small cell.

Ms. Zhang Suxia, from Zhaoyang City, Liaoning Province, was carried to a small cell by four prison guards for further persecution simply because she exposed their evil doing. She was tied up to a Tiger Bench for corporal punishment. At that time, she was menstruating and lost an excessive amount of blood from the torture. As a result, she became extremely weak. Currently, she is still under strict control in the No. 1 division.

Ms. Yang Baoying, over 60 years old, is currently held in the No. 5 team of the No. 1 division. She was thrown into a small cell for trying to defend herself to the prison guards when she was reprimanded by them. The inhumane tortures she suffered crippled both of her hands. Now she feels fatigued and dizzy. (The conditions in a small cell are very bad and the prison guards often use these cells to secretly persecute Falun Gong practitioners).

The prison guards who were directly involved in persecuting these practitioners include: Division Captain Li Mingyu, Deputy Division Captain Xie Chengdong, Wang Shuzheng, Zhang He, Yang Xiaofeng, Zhang Huan, Liu Jing, Xie Jiaquan, Cui Hong, Huang Haiyan, Qi , Ren Hongzan, Zhang Lei, Liu Hui, Pei Feng, Guan Lin, Fan Guixia and Yu ; as well as male prison guards Gao , Jiang , Wang , Tu and Liu Wei. Prison doctors Cao Yujie and Chen Bin also participated in the persecution.

2. Falun Gong Practitioners Go on a Hunger Strike to Protest the Inhuman Torture

In order to resist the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners still went on a hunger strike even though they were locked up in the strictly controlled area. At the time of my release, the practitioners were still on a hunger strike.

When Falun Gong practitioners went on a hunger strike, the prison guards carried out the brutal persecution of force-feeding. Around five to 13 prison guards would sit, step, and press on the practitioners' heads, chests, and legs, as well as pull their hair, in order to force-feed the practitioners.

Prison guards Cao Yujie and Chen Bin used a stick to pry practitioner's mouths open. After the force-feeding, they immediately pinched the practitioner's noses and closed their mouths. Usually, as a result of too much food in the mouth, a lot of the practitioners were unable to swallow or spit out the food. Words cannot describe the suffering of being suffocated and not being able to breathe.

The practitioners who went on a hunger strike for more than three months include Ms. Sheng Lianying, Ms. Gong Xuerong, Ms. Zhang Peiying, Ms. Jiang Guiyun, Ms. Dong Jingya, Ms. Dong Jingzhe, Ms Sun Jiping, Ms. Teng Shiyun, Ms. Zhu Yun, Ms. Zhang Guixia, Ms. Qiu Li, Ms. Wang Manli, Ms. Meng Guiqiu and Ms. Yang Yanting.

Ms. Dong Jingzhe, who took part in the rescue of Ms. Gao Rongrong, went on hunger strike for more than 100 days. The prison doctors were only able to force-feed her for a month. After that, they were not able to force-feed her since she only vomited blood. She was suffocated every time they force-fed her. When they tried to inject unknown drugs into her, they could not find a vein. As a result of the persecution, Ms. Dong Jingzhe cannot walk and is on the brink of death.

Ms. Zhu Yun had been on a hunger strike for a year and her body was covered with cuts and bruises. In the cold winter, the prison guards handcuffed her to a wooden bench and locked her in a small cell for three to four consecutive months. One time, a prison guard with the surname of Fang got drunk and beat Ms. Zhu until she lost consciousness. Currently, Ms. Zhu is extremely weak and unable to get out of bed.

Ms. Zhang Guixia from Xinbin City was detained for an additional six months and sent to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp to be locked up in a small cell simply because she shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" There, she suffered from inhuman torture, including being tied and hung up. After the Dalian Forced Labor Camp was disbanded, Ms. Zhang was sent back to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She has been on a hunger strike for eight months and is extremely weak. She has been detained for an additional four months beyond her term of forced labor.

Ms. Sun Jiping from Jinzhou City is 56 years old. This was her second time being imprisoned in Masanjia. On March 28, when she was extremely weak and could hardly eat, she was thrown into the strictly monitored area. She went on a hunger strike for three months and was unable to sit up, yet she was not allowed to lie down in bed, so she could only lie on the cold cement floor.

Ms. Gong Xuerong is a practitioner from Dalian City. This was her second time being persecuted in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was kept in the strictly controlled area. Due to the inhuman tortures, she cannot move her four limbs.

Ms. Li Hong is a practitioner from Dalian City. She was locked up in a small cell for five to six months for persisting in doing the Falun Gong exercises and not wearing the prison uniform.

Ms. Yang Yanting is a practitioner from Dalian City. She was sent to Masanjia in March 2002. She has been locked up in the small cell twice. Prison guard Dong Suxia handcuffed Ms. Yang to a bed and tortured her. After that, she was forced to stand still for several consecutive days and nights. Her term has been extended for four months. At present, she is on a hunger strike to protest the strict control and the extended imprisonment term.

Ms. Wang Manli is suffering from hearing loss after she was badly beaten by prison guard Liu Chunjie.

A Dalian practitioner whose name is unknown had cuts and bruises all over her body after being punched and kicked by the prison guards. Her face was swollen and her blood pressure was as high as 180 mmHg. She could hardly walk after being injected with an unknown drug.

Ms. Qiu Li and other practitioners were body searched by the prison guards looking for Teacher's new articles. These shameless guards even searched their undergarments. While being forced-fed, prison guard Wang Shuzheng beat Ms. Qiu Li so badly that she now suffers from ringing in the ears.

Many other Falun Gong practitioners whose names are unknown to me are also being persecuted right now in China. I call on the people in the world to rescue the practitioners who are tortured at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and other Chinese prisons.

(1) Ms. Gao Rongrong was an accountant at Luxun Institute of Fine Arts in Shenyang City. On the afternoon of May 7, 2004, Ms. Gao was shocked for about seven hours with electric batons, and as a result, her face was severely deformed and covered with burn scars. On October 5, 2004, several Falun Gong practitioners rescued her from the hospital despite strict police surveillance. On March 6, 2005, Gao Rongrong was again arrested. On June 16, she passed away at the age of 37 after being subjected to many tortures.

 The police from Fuyu County, Jilin Province and those from the Fuyu Detention Center torture Falun Gong practitioners using various methods. Between March 8 and 10, 2002, officers from the Fuyu County Police Station broke into practitioners' residences without giving any notice and arrested more than 100 practitioners in order to torture them in the detention center. Among the practitioners were seniors and babies who were still being breast-fed.

The detention center was full at that time, and the prison cells were packed to the walls. The newly arrested female practitioners were imprisoned together. They practiced the exercises together to protest the persecution. The detention center chief of police Liu then brought seven or eight officers to rush inside the female cell. They mercilessly beat these female practitioners with police clubs until all of them fell to the ground. The police then imprisoned the senior practitioners separately from the younger ones. They also put shackles on the practitioners. The practitioners refused to cooperate. Several male police officers then restrained one female practitioner. They pulled off several female practitioners' pants. Then they dragged these naked female practitioners from one end of the hallway to the other while the male prisoners watched.

The police put the heaviest shackles on a petite female practitioner. She had to use one hand to lift the shackles in order to slowly move from place to place. The police interrogated practitioners only in the evenings. Each time they did so, they beat the practitioners with clubs. The sound could be heard throughout the hallway. Sometimes the chief of police from the Fuyu County Police Station, Liu Zhaobin, personally ordered the police to torture the practitioners. He unceasingly shouted, "Hit them! Hit them!" Soon after that, many practitioners were sentenced to forced labor camps or transferred to other places to be tortured.

An account of Mr. Yang Weihua's suffering from the brutal torture at the hands of the lawless personnel from Fuyu County:

On March 1, 2000, Mr. Yang Weihua was arrested and detained because he went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. Fifteen days later, he was imprisoned in the Fuyu County Detention Center, during which time the police tortured him. The police from the Fuyu County Criminal Team and a prison guard from the detention center, Wang Cunfan, either beat or berated practitioners. Their methods were violent and cruel. After 38 days, he was sentenced to one year of hard labor.

On March 3, 2001 Mr. Yang was released from the labor camp. Because he refused to stop practicing Falun Gong, about half a month later, the Fuyu County police forcibly arrested him at his residence. They took him to a brainwashing center for further persecution. The police tried to force all practitioners to sign the pre-drafted "guarantee statements". Mr. Yang and some other practitioners refused to sign their names. Then, some of them were imprisoned in the police stations, some in detention centers, and some in a center for reeducation through labor. Some practitioners were laid off from work, and some practitioners' personal land was confiscated. They also forcibly seized practitioners' personal property as fines.

Mr. Yang was detained for 15 days. On October 21, 2001, he and two other practitioners were arrested again. The railroad police claimed that the practitioners were detained because they did not carry their ID-cards with them. The police found Mr. Yang's address on his driver's license, which also told the police that he was a practitioner. The police then contacted the head of the 610 Office of Fuyu County, Xu Shuxian. A few hours later, Xu Shuxian came to the Railroad Police Station with a group of policemen who brutally attacked Mr. Yang. They kicked his face with their leather shoes. As a result, Mr. Yang's nose bled profusely. He was cut and bruised so severely that he could not get up. The police did not stop until they were exhausted. Afterwards they confiscated Mr. Yang's cell phone and cash.

Following that, they took Mr. Yang to the Fuyu County Police Station. There they asked him to sign the detention card. Mr. Yang asked them what reasons they had to imprison him at that time? They replied that they did so because he was a Falun Gong practitioner. Mr. Yang was then taken to the detention center to be tortured again.

In the detention center, Mr. Yang firmly refused to cooperate with the guard's orders. He started a hunger strike to protest the detention. As a result they locked him up in a small cell. The police then had the inmates in the small cell beat him. Yet, Mr. Yang continued his hunger strike to protest. On the fifth day they force-fed him. Five or six policemen tied his head, feet and hands to a death bed. They then inserted a tube through his nose into his stomach. By then, Mr. Yang felt so sick that he kept vomiting. They poured salt water into the tube in his nostril, but it just flowed out again. The police tortured Mr. Yang for a long period of time. His whole body ached from it. The burning sensation inside his stomach was especially hard to bear. After that he was terrified whenever he thought about force-feeding.

The police incited inmate Liu Li to beat Mr. Yang. The beating was so severe that he broke one of Mr. Yang's ribs, making Mr. Yang unable to breathe. In the evening the pain was too severe for him to fall asleep. Besides, when he was on the hunger strike, he continuously had diarrhea. His weight dropped by more than 50 Jin (one Jin equals 1.102 pounds). Mr. Yang lived in daily misery. In the days to follow the police used even crueler methods to torture him.

On March 1, 2002, team head Gu and six others from Team 2 (or Team 4) from the Fuyu County Criminal Team interrogated him. They handcuffed Mr. Yang immediately. They kept beating him while asking him if he would continue to believe in Falun Gong. Mr. Yang replied affirmatively. They said that the issue of Mr. Yang must be solved that day. They demanded that Mr. Yang admit that he was guilty. Otherwise, they would not stop torturing him. They tied Mr. Yang up to a Tiger Bench and put his feet inside iron clips. They cuffed his hands behind the rear frame of the Tiger Bench. The police then stepped on the handcuffs and used a rope to restrain Mr. Yang's throat. The Tiger Bench's iron sheet penetrated into his fingernail. Moreover, the police continuously hit his face until he lost consciousness.

Seeing that Mr. Yang was dying, the police loosened his hands a little, and then fastened them again. They did this repeatedly, causing Mr. Yang to receive an insufficient oxygen supply to his brain. Thus he became confused. The police still did not give up. They then ruthlessly used bullets to rake across Mr. Yang's ribs. Mr. Yang was hurting so much that he sent out miserable cries. Fearing that others would hear them, the police gagged his mouth with dirty rags. The pain made Mr. Yang hit his head against a metal frame. Gradually, Mr. Yang lost the feeling of pain and sensed a heat flow going through his whole body. Mr. Yang realized that it was Teacher who had withstood all the pain for him. This made him believe even more in Teacher and Falun Gong. The police asked him if he still believed in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. He replied, "Yes." The police asked if he still supported Falun Gong. Mr. Yang said, "Yes." The police asked if Mr. Yang still supported a practitioner from a certain city. Mr. Yang said that he supported practitioners everywhere!

The police hauled Mr. Yang back to his cell. Ten days later the police tortured Mr. Yang again in an attempt to extract some evidence from him. They hung him up on a metal fence. While he was hanging, they put 38-Jin shackles on his feet. Mr. Yang swung back and forth. Very quickly, the handcuffs penetrated to the bones, which were exposed. It was extremely painful. Mr. Yang was unable to fall asleep at night from the pain.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Yunlan, from Liuyang City, Hunan Province, was sentenced to two years of re-education through forced labor for distributing truth clarification materials in February 2004. She was detained and tortured at the notorious Baimalong Forced Labor Camp, where she suffered a mental collapse before the end of the year. Ms. Zhang was later bailed out and hospitalized, but the authorities from the 610 Office continued to threaten Ms. Zhang's son, saying that they would monitor and abuse her.

Ms. Zhang Yunlan, 52, is from Jinpan Village, Yonghe Town, Liuyang City of Hunan Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she had various illnesses, which were cured after she started practicing.

In February 2004, Ms. Zhang was reported and arrested for distributing truth clarification material in her hometown of Liuyang City. She was detained at Baxianqiao Detention Center in Liuyang City. On February 20, she was sent to Zhuzhou City's Baimalong Forced Labor Camp for two years of forced labor.

At Baimalong Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Zhang was detained in the "Transformation Division" and then in the "Strict Monitoring Division," where she suffered inhuman torture both physically and mentally. She was forced to watch the hoax "Tiananmen Square self-immolation" video produced by the CCTV and other propaganda that slandered Falun Gong. She was forced to write the Three Statements. She was forced to stand for long periods of time, deprived of sleep while standing for twenty-four hours, handcuffed and hung backward with her only toe tips touching the ground, doused with cold water, whipped on the face with long wet towels, and forced to do labor making shoes. When Ms. Zhang went on a hunger strike to protest, the police force-fed her.

At one point, several prison inmates, who were incited by the police, pushed Ms. Zhang into the bathroom. They poured four or five buckets of water over her head. They then threw her to the ground and stomped on her ribs over her heart, causing Ms. Zhang great pain.

Another time, Ms. Zhang's legs were so swollen after more than ten days of forced standing that she couldn't even put on shoes. She had to stand on the floor in her bare feet. She was then forced to stand on a four-inch wide stool. By that time, her legs and feet had lost all feeling, and she had no more strength to hold her body upright. The police ordered Li Xiaomei, the person assigned to monitor Ms. Zhang, to hit Ms. Zhang's feet and arms with a small stool and kick her legs. Li kicked Ms. Zhang so hard that her shoes came apart and then she asked Ms. Zhang for compensation.

Ms. Zhang Yunlan was then detained in the "Strict Monitoring Division." Half a month before she left the forced labor camp, she was dragged to have a check-up at a hospital on Shanglouzhou Street. The doctor claimed that Ms. Zhang had psychological problems. Ms. Zhang was then "bailed out for hospitalization" on April 30, 2005.

After she returned home, the neighbors saw that Ms. Zhang had changed from someone healthy to an old woman who had difficulty even walking and who was sometimes not clear-minded. She was being influenced by the lies and deceptions spread by the CCP-controlled TV and newspapers. Some people thought it strange and wondered why she had changed so much. In fact, Ms. Zhang's condition was the result of persecution in the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp. The Chinese authorities' claim that a forced labor camp is "as warm as a family" is a complete lie.

After Ms. Zhang went home, the local 610 officers forced her son to sign a statement of responsibility and ordered him to control his mother. Her son compromised with the 610 officer. In order to prevent his mother from leaving home, he only gave her two meals of one small bowl of rice each day. In addition, Ms. Zhang was given no breakfast and was only allowed to eat after 2 p.m. Her son also took away all of the money and possessions given to Ms. Zhang by other practitioners. Her son once kicked her so hard that her knee was swollen and she could not kneel down for a week.

Ms. He Zhengshu, age 52, from Baozang 13th group, Qifeng Township, Lu County, Sichuan Province, started to practice Falun Gong in 2003. In March 2004 Ms. He was persecuted by the head of the local Qifeng township police station, Zhao Shilun. In the evening he went to her house and demanded that she hand over her Falun Gong materials, and even threatened her with a police baton. He shouted that if she did not hand them over the next day, then he would beat her to death. Under immense mental pressure after being excessively threatened, she died suddenly on the second day.

Ms. Zhang Hong, 24 to 25 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Heitai Town, Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province. In 2000, the local Heitai police station and the political defense branch of the Mishan City police department arrested and illegally detained her at the Mishan jail for more than 2 months. In 2002, she was taken to the Heitai police station and then to the township Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee to be forced with brainwash there. She was fined 3000 yuan and sent home. She was again persecuted around the 2003 Chinese New Year, and she passed away in her home.

Mr. Wang Guangchun and Ms. Gao Liangqin, husband and wife, were Falun Gong practitioners in Qianertaizi Village, Liangshan Town, Xinmin City, Liaoning Province. Ever since July 20, 1999, the residential party committee harassed them on a regular basis. During the 2000 and 2001 period, Ms. Gao Liangqin was arrested and taken to the Shenyang Longshan Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Wang Guangchun passed away in March of 2004. Ms. Gao Liangqin died in April 2005.

Ms. Liu Airong was 66 years old, a Xinzhuang villager from Liuhe Town, Changyi City, Shandong Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, and many of her illnesses were cured. From then on she firmly believed in Falun Gong without any doubts. After the evil started the persecution of Falun Gong, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in June 2000. She was arrested and tortured by being hung from a light pole. Then she was detained and fined. Since she still firmly practiced Falun Gong, on many occasions she was arrested, detained by the township government and harassed by the police. Under the brutal persecution of the CCP, her body and mind suffered enormously. As a result, her old sicknesses developed again, and she passed away on May 1, 2002.

Mr. Sun Laiyuan, age 65, was a farmer from Louzike Village, Jimo City, Shandong Province. In 2000 he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. However, en route to Beijing, in Weifang, he was arrested and taken back to his village. At the township government building, he was detained for 15 days. He was then held for 30 days at the village office and endured forced brainwashing. Then he was held captive at the Tongji government transformation brainwashing clinic for a day. Night and day, people would knock on the doors and windows of his house, and he received ongoing harassment and threats. Under such long-term pressure, Mr Sun passed away on May 20, 2001.

Mr. Wang Yuhua, 64, was from Yongqing County, Hebei Province. In October 1999, he was detained for seven days by the Sanshengkou County police. After he was released, he was harassed many times by the local Sanshengkou police, putting him under immense mental pressure. He passed away on June 17, 2001.

Ms. Wang Guihua was 54 years old. She went to Beijing three times to appeal for Falun Gong. Once at the train station she was arrested. The police from the train station police station arrested her many times and harassed her at her home numerous times as well. Local officials also frequently went to her home to harass her. Ms. Wang Guihua passed away on August 25, 2005.

1. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Wang Weigao Serving Two Years in Zibo Wangcun Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Weigao, 38, is from Shuanghouaiyu Village, Yinan County. On March 4, 2005, Wang Weigao and some other practitioners went out to tell the truth. They were arrested, taken to Yinan Detention Center, and tortured. Mr. Wang always persisted in his belief and did not give up his practice. In the end, he was sentenced to two years imprisonment to be served in Wangcun Prison.

2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Force-fed and Tortured

According to a reliable source, on August 3, 2005, practitioners Mr. Xin Minduo, Ms. Bao Juncen, Ms. Hu Zhehui and Mr. Yang Lixin from Panjin were arrested and sent to Beida Prison in Shenyang, Liaoning. The practitioners have been on a hunger strike, and have not given up their practice. They have been force-fed and tortured. At this time, the police are gathering evidence and attempting to sentence Xin Minduo and Hu Zhehui in connection with a truth-clarification material production site for up to 20 years. The police discovered the site by phone tapping and surveillance.

3. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Yang Rongzhen Abducted to Jiangan District Brainwashing Center by Members of 610 Office

At 7 p.m. on August 10, 2005, the director of the 610 Office in Jiangan District of Wuhan teamed up with Jiangan District Laodong Street local police, and with the guidance of the residents' committee, broke into practitioner Ms. Yang Rongzhen's home in the dormitory area of the Military Communication Institute on Jiefanggongyuan Road.

Ms. Yang's son argued strongly and tried to stop them from taking Ms. Yang, however the 610 Office personnel still abducted her (58-years-old) at midnight on August 10, 2005, and sent her to Jiangan District Brainwashing Center.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Lin Xiaoquan Again Seized

On July 27, 2005, Lin Xiaoquan and another practitioner were arrested from their home. Lin Xiaoquan jumped from the second floor of Xinfan Town Local Police Station and attempted to escape, but he injured his lower back from the jump and was taken to Xinjin Detention Center. Lin Xiaoquan went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was sent home on July 31. While he was recuperating, he was arrested again from home around August 12, and was held in Xindu District Detention Center.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Yang Yunna Arrested for Posting Truth-clarification Materials

On July 22, 2005, practitioner Ms. Yang Yunna of Shaling Town, Yuhong District was arrested by officers from Shaling Town Local Police Station for delivering Falun Gong truth-clarification materials and posting the photos of Gao Rongrong's disfigured face. She was taken to Shenyang City Detention Center and detained. Practitioner Han Yuanyuan was also arrested at the same time.

6. [Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province] Li Xianglan Taken Away from Home

Ms. Li Xianglan, 42 years old, is from Ying County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. On the morning of August 4, 2005, more than 80 policemen rushed into her home, arrested her and sent her to Ying County Public Security Bureau.

7. [Huinong, Ningxia Province] Wang Yuzhu Arrested and Tortured for Telling the Truth

On August 8, 2005, practitioner Wang Yuzhu from Ningxia clarified the truth about Falun Gong to a person on a business trip in Huinong District, Ningxia. Wang Yuzhu was reported and arrested on August 12 at the workplace in Yinchuan by several police officers from Huinong District National Protection Unit of the Autonomous Region Public Security Department and Yinchuan City Development Zone local police station. Wang Yuzhu is now being held and tortured in Huinong District No. 2 Detention Center.

8. [Shanhaiguan, Hebei Province] Wu Wenzhang Persecuted and Emaciated in Jidong Prison

Mr. Wu Wenzhang from Shanhaiguan has been sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment by Shanhaiguan Court on April 30, 2004, for writing Falun Gong slogans. He has been held at Jidong Prison for nearly ten months. Under long term persecution and brainwashing, he is suffering from high blood pressure and is bedridden. He has blurred vision and is emaciated.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Yan Jingqiu Entrapped by Police

At around August 2, 2005, a banner attacking Falun Gong was hung near Yanji Road, Beizhong Area, Qingdao City, and three police cars were parked near the banner. In the early morning of August 3, Yan Jingqiu went to take down the banner, but was arrested by the police officers who were waiting there for practitioners to remove their slanderous banner. Yan Jingqiu is now being held in Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao.

10. [Lingyuan, Liaoning Province] Lingyuan Iron and Steel Company Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners

Since the suppression of Falun Gong in 1999, more than ten practitioners from Lingyuan have been sentenced. Among them are:
