Ms. Yu Xiaoli Taken to Forced Labor Camp for the Third Time

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 14, 2008, on the way to work, Ms. Yu Xiaoli, a Falun Gong practitioner from the Development Area in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, was taken away by police from the local 610 Office to the Huanghai Road Police Station. On the same day, the police searched her home and confiscated some of her personal property, including books. After being approached by Ms. Yu's husband and her employer, the officers at Huanghai Road Police Station promised to release her the following day. But early in the morning on July 15, they transferred Ms. Yu to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. This was the fourth time that Yu Xiaoli has been taken away because of her perseverance in abiding by Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.

Before she began to practice Falun Gong, Yu Xiaoli suffered from emphysema. She had lost two-thirds of one lung, and she could not do manual labor. Only after she started to practice Falun Gong did she really experience the carefree feeling of being relieved of sickness. For her, someone who had grown up with medicine jars, this was just like obtaining a new life.

After the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Yu Xiaoli went to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in November 1999. She was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp by Huanghai Road Police Station authorities and served a term of two years. During that time, because of her unclear understanding of the Chinese Communist Party, she was "transformed" by guards using despicable brainwashing methods.

In 2002, Yu Xiaoli resumed her cultivation in Falun Gong. On March 2003, because she was clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, she was sent to Dalian City Forced Labor Camp by Dagushan Frontier Police Station authorities for a term of three years. During that time, she was forcibly brainwashed. In a solemn statement later, she said that during her time in the forced labor camp, because she could not let go of ordinary people's attachments, she was anxious about being released and not willing to endure the cruel torture. Under pressure, she wrote the three statements against her will. Subsequently, she was taken advantage of and worked as a collaborator for some time and committed big crimes against Dafa.

On August, 2006, Ms. Yu was taken away again by Wanli Police Station officers in Development Area and sent to Yaojia Detention Center. After being locked up for a month, her family got her out by paying an extortion fee.

This time when Ms. Yu was sent to a forced labor camp, the authorities did not present any formal justification to her family. The family only received an oral notification that her imprisonment was to fulfill a decision about her term of forced labor made in 2006.
