Saipan Island: Practitioners Hold a Candlelight Vigil to Mourn Fellow Practitioners (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of July 20, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners on Saipan Island held a candlelight vigil to mourn practitioners in China who have died as a result of the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They also called on the world's people to work together to stop the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

As night fell, practitioners displayed truth-clarification photo boards on the square in front of the Immigration Bureau. They also hung banners reading, "Falun Dafa is good," "The worlds needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," "Put an end to the persecution and support 40 million Chinese people quitting the evil CCP," "Heaven eliminates the CCP, heaven blesses China, widely spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and "Quit the CCP for one's own safety." The practitioners also placed a flower wreath that they especially made to mourn fellow practitioners who have died as a result of the CCP's persecution. Besides the wreath was a projection showing a film of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, exposing the CCP's evil nature.

During the nearly three-hour activity, practitioners passed out materials and clarified the facts to people passing by. Lotus flower lanterns shone upon practitioners, showing their peacefulness and perseverance.
