(Clearwisdom.net) Todays' News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities and counties in 13 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 32 practitioners were illegally arrested.

On April 10, 2008, the Zhaoling District 610 Office and the Wanjin Town Police Station in Luohe City searched the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xiulan of Xiazhuang Village. Ms. Xiulan was arrested, but her whereabouts are unknown.

Around April 5, 2008, Huaihua Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Lin Chunxiang and Ms. Lin Hua went back to their hometown to clarify the truth and advise people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. On the morning of April 8, 2008, they were reported to the police. The police from the Tuanhe Town Police Station in Huitong County arrested them. Seven or eight policemen from the National Security Team of the Huaihua City Police Department went to search the home of Lin Chunxiang and confiscated all Dafa books, Master's pictures, a satellite dish and receiver for NTDTV, a TV, and other items. The two practitioners are now detained in the Huitong County Detention Center.

Shuangcheng Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fan Shude has been detained in the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp. It was learned that she was sent to a hospital and given injections. She has been hospitalized for more than ten days on the eighth floor of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Harbin Medical School. She vomits whatever she eats, however, the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp still will not release her.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jia Qinghua suffers from tachycardia and her blood pressure is up to 220. However, she is being forced to do hard labor from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Ms. Liu Shuqing, 52 years old, was sent to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp on February 28, 2008. She was forced to do labor. It was recently learned that she has been hospitalized.

At around 9:00 a.m. on April 11, 2008, Ms. Qian Guoyu from Qingshan District, Wuhan City, went to the Youyi Neighborhood Community office on Yejin Street, Qingshan District, to apply for the relevant documents because she lost her residential identification book and needed to apply for the annual inspection of her retirement salary. Several policemen from the Yejin Street Police Station pushed her into a silver-gray van and took her away.

On the afternoon of April 9, 2008, about two dozen people from the 610 Office, National Security Team and police department of Huanggang City broke into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Dai Youyuan (around 60 years old), Ms. Long Xiang (around 60 years old), and Ms. Yu Jinming. They took away truth-clarifying materials and detained the three practitioners in the detention center. Each practitioner was extorted out of about 1,000 yuan.

At 7:00 a.m. on March 10, 2008, officers from the National Security Team of the Qing'an County Police Department broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Shurong in Qing'an County and arrested her. She is currently detained in the Qing'an County Detention Center.

Earlier, on February 5, 2008, Ms. Liu Shurong was taken to the Qing'an County Detention Center. She was released after being detained for 15 days.

Mr. Liu Haigang is a barber in Shahe Town, Laizhou City. On the morning of April 14, 2008, he and his sister Ms. Liu Caiduo were arrested by police from the Laizhou City 610 Office while they were working. A policeman took away an MP3 player that Liu Laigang carried.

Ms. Li Wenhua, 53 years old, lives in the Sixth Group of Sanliang, Taiping Town, Shulan City. On the afternoon of April 7, 2008, she was arrested by police. The police searched her home and confiscated Dafa books. Now Li Wenhua is being detained in the Nanshan Detention Center in Shulan City. The guards are not allowing her to be visited.

At 5:00 p.m. on April 11, 2008, Ms. Wang Shuqing was suddenly taken away by police while she got off a bus at the Baicheng Bus Station. Her husband who is not a practitioner was also arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Zongrui, in her 70s, lives in Bozhuang Village, Mucun Town, Fangzi District, Weifang City. During the afternoon of April 2, 2008, the police from the Fangzi National Security Team and the Mucun Police Station illegally arrested her and her grandson Mr. Wang Zhenwen, who is not a Falun Gong practitioner. The police searched her home and took away a laptop, two printers, four sets of satellite receivers, two of Master's statues, about thirty Dafa books and lots of Dafa materials. The loss was worth about 10,000 yuan. The police also took away 5,500 yuan (Mr. Wang's work pay) that he carried, as well as his cell phone. Wang Zongrui and her grandson were sent to the Weifang Detention Center. After physical examination, the detention center refused to accept Wang Zongrui because of her poor physical condition. However, Wang Zhenwen is still detained in the detention center as of this report.

A neighbor was also taken away by police because she saw them search Ms. Wang's home. She was released after being extorted out of 500 yuan.

At 10:00 a.m. on April 10, 2008, Jiang Aiguo and other policemen from the Wanquan County National Security Team broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yin Surong in Liugou Village, Jiubao Township. They searched her home and arrested her. The police took away a cell phone, a recorder, an MP4 player, exercise tapes and some truth-clarifying CDs.

Ms. Liang Hongzhi, 34 years old, is a Falun Gong practitioner in Qiaotou Town, Weihai City. On December 24, 2007, she was arrested and sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province. She was brutally tortured and not allowed to sleep for 24 hours. She was also hung up and handcuffed for a long time.

Mr. Shen Aiqiang, 31 years old, lives in Zhennan Town, Wuchuan County, Zunyi City. On November 26, 2007, he was arrested in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. Later on, he was transferred to Guiyang City. He is now being detained in the Second Detention Center of Guiyang City. His family members have not been allowed to visit him so far.

In March 2008, the law-enforcing departments of Guiyang City opened an illegal session against Shen Aiqiang.

In the beginning of 2003, Ms. Zhou Zhiying, a teacher in Wuxi City, was sent to the Nanjing Women's Prison. She was tortured in the so-called "Fortified Group" of the prison.

In August 2004, Zhou Zhiying was released after serving the illegally-extended term. After being released, she was taken away and sent to a brainwashing center by the Wuxi City 610 Office.

Recently, the 610 Office of the Central Oil Field instigated all local neighborhood committees to demand that all local Falun Gong practitioners not to go to Beijing during the period of the Olympic Games. If any practitioner does not sign the guarantee document, the company would be forced to lay off the practitioner.

Since September 2007, the police have arrested 19 practitioners. Among of them, Ms. Liu Shaoping, Mr. Li Jiangxiu and Ms. Ding Fengge were sent to a forced labor camp at the end of 2007. Ms. Zheng Xiaoli has been detained in the Puyang City Detention Center for more than seven months.

Mr. Jiang Benli, about 80 years old, is a Falun Gong practitioner in Wugang City. In the beginning of 2008, he was taken away by local police in Fangcheng County, Henan Province. On March 10, Wugang City Police Department took him back and searched his home. Currently, Jiang Benli's whereabouts are unknown.

On March 7, 2008, Zhao Yonggang, Chief of the Daxing Township Police Station in Changtu County, led policemen to arrest Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Sun Guoxue and Ms. Yang Xinping from Bianjia Village. Yang Xinping was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City for a one-year term. Sun Guoxue was sent to Tieling Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term. Zhao Yonggang extorted 15,000 yuan from Yang Xinping's family.

On February 25, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Li Guoming and Ms. Li Xianbin from Nianzishan District, Qiqihar City were arrested. They are being detained in the Nianzishan Detention Center. Their families are not allowed to visit them.

On the afternoon of April 9, 2008, police from the Zhalenuoer National Security Team of Manzhouli went to a drug store and took away Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Miao Jingli, Ms. Xiao Jiang and Ms. Wang Haiying. They were sent to the Manzhouli City Detention Center. Wang Haiying was detained for seven days. Xiao Jiang was sentenced to six months of imprisonment.

Since the end of March 2008, all levels of public security systems, police stations and 610 Offices in Xinzhou District, Wuhan City, have harassed and arrested Falun Gong practitioners. The police took away a computer and other property from the home of Cangbu Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Youshan. Mr. Tao Jiaping and Mr. Lu Baoqing were arrested. On the morning of April 10, 2008, police from the 610 Office and the Wuhan City Police Department arrested Ms. Zhou Hongmei and her husband, searched their home and confiscated a computer, books and other items. Up to now, about a dozen homes of Falun Gong practitioners have been searched.

Ms. Zhao Shurong, who lives on Lingyuan Street, Huanggu District, Shenyang City, was arrested by Huanggu District police on April 9, 2008. On April 10, she walked out of detention with righteous thoughts.

The Huinan County Court plans to open an illegal session against five Falun Gong practitioners on April 18, 2008. They are Ms. Ye Guilan, Ms. Wang Shulan, Ms. Ma Shiyan, Ms. Li Fengqin and Ms. Sun Baili.

At 7:00 p.m. on April 11, 2008, four policemen from the Baiyigela Township Police Station of Songyuan City went to the home of Mr. Wen Jianzhong in Songyuan City. The Police brutally arrested Mr. Wen and his daughter. Now Mr. Wen Jianzhong is being detained in the County Detention Center and his daughter in the County Lockup.

At about 8:00 a.m. on April 5, 2008, police from the Dafangshen Police Station in Dalianwan Town arrested Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wang Riqing and Ms. Wang Xiulan from Jinzhou District, Dalian City while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials in Maoyingzi Village, Dalianwan Town, Ganjingzi District, Dalian City. Wang Riqing has been released because his blood pressure was high and the detention center refused to accept him. Wang Xiulan, 55 years old, is being detained in the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

At 2:30 p.m. on January 25, 2008, police from the Yixingfu Police Station in Beichen District and the Tianjin City National Security Bureau broke into the home of Mr. Li Lixin and Ms. Song Wenhua under the guise of verifying residence registration The police arrested the couple.

On March 18, 2008, Qianjiang Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Chen Sihai and Ms. Yu Shunqiong were arrested by the local 610 Office. They were sent to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
