(Clearwisdom.net) May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day, when Falun Dafa practitioners around the world host various events and express their respect and gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi, founder of the practice, as well as raise awareness about the benefits of cultivating oneself according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

Sixteen years ago, Master Li Hongzhi introduced the teachings of Falun Dafa to the public for the first time. Since that day, the practice has spread to more then 80 countries world-wide. On May 13, 2000, Falun Gong practitioners decided to establish "World Falun Dafa Day."

Taking this opportunity, Falun Gong practitioners organized a public information event in Italy to celebrate "World Falun Dafa Day." The passersby, many of whom were tourists visiting the Coliseum in Rome, could see the practitioners demonstrating the exercises and learn about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. Materials were distributed which provided information about Falun Gong.
