Two Jilin Agriculture Committee Members Who Persecuted Falun Gong Meet with Karmic Retribution
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture,
the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable
for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun
Gong is the characteristic of the universe,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward
actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating,
torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another
way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due
retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of
this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who
persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law
requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by
reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution. Deputy secretary of the Jilin Agriculture Committee Tian Yuan was actively
involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Ahead of the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) Sixteenth Party Congress, Tian Yuan organized a search through the
homes of practitioners who worked for the Agriculture Committee and sent
practitioners to brainwashing centers. Practitioners clarified the
truth to him but he always rejected their attempts to turn him from
wrongdoing. A practitioner told Tian that he was committing a crime in
persecuting practitioners and he would face karmic retribution for his actions.
Tian Yuan did not believe it and even fired the practitioner. Yu Zhiquan also joined in the persecution with Tian Yuan. In order to gain
the favor of his superiors he actively persecuted practitioners. Practitioners
clarified the truth to him as well and asked him to quit the CCP and its
affiliated organizations. He answered, "I belong to the CCP, whether I'm
alive or dead." Yu Zhiquan suddenly died of heart disease. After seeing his partner's fate, Tian Yuan became worried, so he went to the
hospital for a checkup. In April 2007, he was diagnosed with late stage
pancreatic cancer. He died in August 2007. The relevant departments: The CCP Committee of Jilin Agriculture Committee: 86-431-82718026 January 16, 2008.
