Additional Persecution News from China - January 20, 2007 (33 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of
persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 14 provinces. In this
report, 49 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention
and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Beijing] Persecution Exposed in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing (1) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Yinglin is being detained at Tuanhe
Man's Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. Because he refused to "transform,"
he was beaten by guards, including Li Xueqiang at 1:30 p.m. on December 18,
2007. (2) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Baoli, is a painter over 50 years old.
Because he refused to transform, he was forced to squat in a small cell for over
20 days, and was sent back to the cell on January 12, 2008. (3) The registration room in Tuanhe Men's Forced Labor Camp has a poster:
"Advocate science, Resist cult." to defame Falun Gong. 2. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Shahe District Court Illegally Tried Three
Falun Gong Practitioners, Including Ms. Ma Xiuming at 9:00 a.m. on January 18,

Bianjiang 86-411-86840596 3. [Beijing] Zheng Haitao and Other Falun Gong Practitioners Conduct Hunger
Strike in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp In January 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Haitao of Chengde went to
Beijing to drive his taxi, and was arrested in Tongzhou District, Beijing, and
sentenced to two years of forced labor. Because Beijing will hold the Olympics,
some detained practitioners have been transferred to other cities outside the
city. Zheng Haitao and another practitioner were transferred to Brigade No. 3,
Camp No. 1 of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. They refused to perform slave labor.
Zheng Haitao and others are on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. 4. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Guangrong
Illegally Arrested At around 5:00 p.m. on January 18, 2008, six police officers of Fusong County
suddenly broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Guangrong's home, searched

86-15944955555 5. [Heilongjiang Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners from 8511 Farm
Arrested On the morning of December 27, 2007, Ms. Sui Yuhua, Ms. Lei Chuanqing, Ms. Ma
Shurong, and other Falun Gong practitioners from the 8511 Farm at Xingkai Town,
Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province were clarifying the truth at the
Team 2 area of Xingkai Village. They were reported, and seized by police of
Xingkai Town Police Station. On the same day, they were sent to Mishan City
Detention Center, and locked up for two weeks. On January 2, 2008, officers from Xingkai Town Police Station went to these
three practitioners' homes and forced their family members to signa document.
The family members wanted to deliver bedding and daily necessities to them, but
were arbitrarily rejected. 6. [Kiamusu, Heilongjiang Province] Kiamusu Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wang
Yingxia, Arrested in Tongjiang City on December 14, 2007, is Currently Being
Held at Fuyuan County Detention Center Fuyuan County Detention Center: 86-454-2132428 7. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Wang
Hongshu Detained On the morning of January 17, 2008, Mr. Wang Hongshu was arrested on his way
to his elder sister's home, and is now being detained in Diaobingshan City
Detention Center. 8. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Li Chunjuan, Liu Pengfei Detained Pingfang District Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Li Chunjuan and Mr. Liu
Pengfei have been imprisoned for over a month. Liu Pengfei is now being detained
at Zhangjiadian by Pingfang Public Security Sub-bureau, and Li Chunjuan is held
at section 7. Pingfang Public Security Sub-bureau director: 86-451-86505242 9. [Tianjin City] Zhang Hongyan Seized and Taken to Baodi Distrcit Detention
Center On the morning of January 16, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongyan
was arrested by Lintingkou Town Police Station, Baodi District, Tianjin City,
and sent to Baodi District Detention Center. 10. [Tianjin City] Hongqiao Sub-bureau Xigu Police Station Harasses Falun
Gong Practitioners On January 16, 2008, Xigu Police Station of Tianjin City Hongqiao Sub-bureau
searched the homes of Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Guo, Ms. Zhang, Ms. Li and
others, and confiscated satellite equipment and other property. 11. [Funing County, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Gao Guidong
Arrested On January 18, 2008, Mr. Gao Guidong of Shimenzhai Town, Funing County,
Qinhuangdao City was reported while he was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong.
Police officers from Shimenzhai Police Station arrested him, and sent him to

Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Ruixia works in a workshop of Jingge Village
Mining Industry Subsidiary Company in the Kaiping District of Tangshan City. In
August 2006, she was reported when she posted Falun Dafa truth-clarification
materials in Jingge Village, Kaiping District. Kang Shunlai, the party secretary
of Jingge Village, Kaiping District, along with others, arrested Wang Ruixia and
took her to the Village Committee office, where they viciously cursed and beat
her. Afterwards, Kang Shunlai reported her and sent her to Liyuan Police Station
in Kaiping. The police repeatedly threatened Wang Ruixia to give up practicing
Falun Dafa, but Wang Ruixia refused. On the afternoon of January 9, 2008, Liyuan Police Station in Kaiping again
threatened Wang Ruixia about giving up Falun Dafa practice. After she refused,
they sent her to Kaiping Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor. 13. [Shanhaiguan, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Huang Weiling
Arrested by Police from Lunan Police Station around 10 p.m. on January 17, 2008,
Whereabouts Unknown 14. [Henan Province] Zhoukou City Dancheng County Falun Gong Practitioners
Ms. Wu Fengying and Ms. Guo Fengying Arrested by Dancheng County Public Security
Bureau 15. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhou Shuhua Arrested when Clarifying
the Truth About Falun Gong at 10:00 a.m. on January 17, 2007 16. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Yu Huifang Secretly Sentenced Shortly after 6:00 a.m., one day in early November 2007, Kaifeng City Falun
Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Huifang was secretly taken to the Gulou District 610
Office by agents in Kaifeng City. Without following any legal procedures, the
610 Office agents took out an already prepared written judgment and sentenced
her to three years. Yu Huifang is now being held at Xinxiang Women's Prison. Kaifeng City Xisi Police Station: 86-378-5322334 17. [Lintong County, Shanxi Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Caie
Arrested On January 10, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Caie of Xingzhe Wucun,
Lintong County, was forcibly taken from her home by Lintong Train Station
police. Since 2003, evildoers have gone to her home to harass and persecute her every
year, and her 7-year-old granddaughter has no one to look after her. 18. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Song Bin
Sentenced to Seven and a Half Years on November 14, 2007 Ms. Song Bin is in her fifties. 19. [Jiangmen, Guangdong Province] In January 2008, Ms. Hu Yuechan and Ms. Yu
Shunjie Arrested When Distributing Material 20. [Dazhi, Hubei Province] Ke Changyan Arrested and Taken to Shayang Forced
Labor Camp On the night of December 12, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ke Changyan of
Mingshan, Dazhi, had his home searched by over ten police officers and was
arrested. On December 26, 2007, he was taken to Shayang Forced Labor Camp in
Hubei Province for two years of forced labor. 21. [Sha County, Fujian Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Le Shengzhuo and
his Wife, Le Mudi Arrested On January 12, 2008, Mr. Le Shengzhuo and his wife, Ms. Le Mudi of Sha
County, Fujian Province, were arrested by police from Sha County. Their home was
searched, and a laptop computer, printer, Falun Dafa books and
truth-clarification materials, etc. were confiscated. They are now being held at
Sha County Detention Center. They are on a hunger strike to resist the
persecution. Sha County Public Security Bureau: 86-598-5822178 22. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Cai Huarong
Tried in Court At 9:45 a.m. on January 18, 2008, Zhuhai City Xiangzhou District Court
illegally tried Ms. Cai Huarong. The court did not allow her family to hire a
defense attorney. Cai Huarong stated she did nothing wrong, and that her belief
is legal and the persecution is criminal. The court was unable to put her on
trial. 23. [Chongqing City] Falun Gong Practitioner Meng Xuetao Sentenced to Forced
Labor On December 28, 2007, Mr. Meng Xuetao of Yuzhong Distrcit, Chongqing City,
was arrested by police and taken to Shapingba Detention Center, when he was
handing out "truth-clarification" materials in Shapingba District of
Chongqing City. He has been sentenced to two years of forced labor by Chongqing
City Judicial Bureau, and is being held at Xishanping Man's Forced Labor Camp. á On July 22, 1999, Meng Xuetao went to Beijing to appeal, and was detained at
Xishanping Men's Forced Labor Camp, beaten by police, and subjected to many
forms of torture. In 2005, Meng Xuetao was again arrested by police and taken to
Xishanping Men's Forced Labor Camp. During that period, he was critically ill
three times. 24. [Chongqing City] On January 16, 2008, Changshou Area Falun Gong
Practitioner, Ms. Gao Yunxia, Sent to Tieshanping Youth Re-education Center for
Further Persecution 25. [Dongguang County, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Wang Xiaohua
Arrested At 9:00 a.m. on January 18, 2008, Ms. Wang Xiaohua, who makes a living by
washing cars at home, was taken away by Dongguang County Public Security Bureau
and sent to Nanpi County Detention Center. Wang Xiaohua's husband passed away
and left two children alone at home. 26. [Sichuan Province] Brief Information on the Persecution of Mingshan
County Falun Gong Practitioners The following practitioners were sent to forced labor camp: Ms. Wu Xueyu, sentenced to one and a half years in October 2000, still
encounters harassment after her release. Ms. Yang Mingyu, 38, sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor in
2004, and arrested from rice paddy by Mingshan Public Security Bureau and 610
Office on July 3, 2007; sentenced to two years of forced labor; being held at
Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong. Mr. Li Chaoxin, held by Mingshan Detention Center for 14 days and fined 500
yuan in October 2000. In November 2001, he was again held by Mingshan Detention
Center for 23 days. In July 2002, he was locked up for 3 days in the office of
Mingshan Public Security Bureau and fined 500 yuan and again held by Mingshan
Detention Center for 28 days in October 2005. Mr. Chen Yonghe, held by Mingshan Detention Center for 8 days and fined 100
yuan in 2000 and again held by Mingshan Detention Center for 28 days in July
2006. Mr. Li Dengtian, held by Mingshan Detention Center for over 10 days and fined
3,000 yuan in 2001. Fined: Mr. Liao Guojin: 2,000 yuan; Mr. Wang Dacai: 2,000 yuan; Mr. Liu Tianjun:
1,000 yuan; Mr. Wei Guofu: 1,000 yuan; Mr. Yang Jiatian: 300 yuan. 27. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Zhou
Jianyuan, Zhuo Jiangshan, and Huang Jiafang Arrested by Police On September 23, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Wuchuan City, Zhanjiang
Area, Mr. Zhou Jianyuan, Mr. Zhuo Jiangshan (a university associate professor in
Guangzhou), and Ms. Huang Jiafang, were arrested at Meilu Town, Wuchuan City,
and are now being held at Wuchuan City No. 2 Detention Center. 28. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Yi Resists
Persecution Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Yi of Wuhan Railway Transportation Section
Xiangfan Revolution Workshop was sentenced to one year of forced labor in 2006.
In December 2007, he returned home from Shayang Forced Labor Camp in Jingmen. He
went to register at his workplace on December 17, 2007, and the party committee
unreasonably transferred him out of his frontline work post without any legal

Practitioner Xin Guifang and Others On December 20, 2007, Ms. Xin Guifang's home was searched, and Falun Dafa
books and some truth-clarification materials were confiscated. Around December 24, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Junjuan went to Ms.
Chang Yuqin's home, while police officers came to arrest Chang Yuqin. Police
found a "Minghui Weekly" in Yu Junjuan's bag, and used it as a
excuse to search their homes and arrest them. In August 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Du Xiuqin (in her fifties) was
sentenced to forced labor for handing out Falun Gong truth-clarification
materials. In May 2007, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Cao Jun, Mr. Rong and Ms. Li Yufen
were seized and sentenced to forced labor. 30. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Hao Arrested On the night of January 18, 2008, Mr. Li Hao, 32, from Wuchang District,
Wuhan City, was arrested by police from Shuiguohu Police Station, Wuchang
District Public Security Bureau, when he was posting Falun Gong
truth-clarification materials at Hubei Province Science and Technology Building.
His whereabouts are unknown. 31. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Yang Fengzhi Detained at Qiaozhuang
Detention Center in Tong County, Beijing On January 18, 2008, when Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Fengzhi of
Changchun went to hand out Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials in Beijing,
she was reported and then arrested. She is now being held at Qiaozhuang
Detention Center, Tong County in Beijing. 32. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Long Xianjin
Arrested At noon on January 17, 2008, Ms. Long Xianjin of Tianhui Village, Jinniu
District, Chengdu City, was arrested by plainclothes police when she was
clarifying the truth in Tianhui Town. Her home was searched that afternoon. Long
Xianjin's whereabouts is unknown. 33. [Gangu County, Gansu Province] Police Station National Protection Brigade
Personnel Harass Falun Gong Practitioners At around 3:00 p.m. on January 17, 2008, Gangu County Police Station National
Protection Brigade chief Gou Binya, led others to break into the home of Falun
Gong practitioner Mr. Pu Binpeng at Shilipu Village, who has been forced into
homelessness. They saw a copy of Zhuan Falun on the table, so they began
to rummage through chests and cupboards. They grabbed the Nine
Commentaries on the Communist Party disks and Minghui Weekly,
etc. On the second day, they trapped and forced the wife and daughter of Pu
Binpeng to sign a document which covered their illegal search on the other day
at the National Protection Brigade.

years.
Ms. Song Yuanfen, detained for over 20 days in May 2004. In October 2004, was
sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor.
Mr. Li Rong, held for 5 days and fined 500 yuan in November 2001.
Mr. Song Fugang, held for 14 days by Mingshan Detention Center and fined 2,000
yuan in July 2002.
Mr. Song Hongliang, held for over 10 days by Mingshan Detention Center and fined
2,000 yuan in July 2002.
Mr. Gao Shijie, held for 15 days by Mingshan Detention Center and fined 1,000
yuan in November 2001.
Ms. Guo Shufen, held for 15 days by Mingshan Detention Center and fined 1,000
yuan in November 2001.
Ms. Wang Zhiqiong, held for 2 days in Mingshan Public Security Bureau in October
2005.
Mr. Liao Chengxiang, held for 2 days in Yongxing Town Police Station, Mingshan
County in 2002.
Mr. Wang Guobing, held for over ten days at Mingshan Detention Center in July
2006.
