Additional Persecution News from China - January 19, 2008 (33 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of
persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this
report, 35 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention,
and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Che Hongfei's Life in Imminent
Danger at Dalian Prison Mr. Che Hongfei, a practitioner from the Bayuquan area in Dalian City, has
been held at the Dalian Prison for over seven months after being illegally
arrested. His life is in imminent danger. 2. [Liaoning Province] Eight Practitioners Held at the Jinzhou City Forced
Labor Administration Agency Eight Falun Gong practitioners remain in custody at the Jinzhou City Forced
Labor Administration Agency. They are Mr. Li Lianjun and Mr. Zhang Guohai from
Linghai City, Mr. Liu Tiekui and Mr. Zhao Zengqiang from the Jincheng area, Mr.
Zhao Erxun from the Majia area in Jinzhou City, Mr. Wang Zhigang from the
Houlaobao area in Jinzhou City, and Mr. Liu Yuan in the Juliangtun area in Yi
County. 3. [Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Cruelly Tortured at Benxi
Prison Officials at the Benxi Prison have escalated the persecution towards
practitioners, in order to "transform" them. Four inmates have been
assigned to monitor each practitioner who remains steadfast in his or her
belief. Some new sets of torture equipment have been installed. It has been
reported, that officials in the No. 3 Ward have resorted to violent torture
trying to "transform" practitioners. A practitioner's head was smashed
against the wall and blood gushed out from a deep cut. Bricks in the wall were
chipped from this violent act. Practitioner Mr. Li Zhongyuan was deprived of
sleep for a week for refusing to be "transformed". It has also been
learned that twelve practitioners have recently been transferred from Yingkou

86-414-5538958, 86-414-5538903, 86-414-5538916 4. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Wucheng District Court Intends to Frame
Falun Gong Practitioners At 9:00 a.m. on January 22, 2008, Ms. Hu Yanjuao and Ms. Huang Jinfeng are to
be illegally placed on trial at the Wucheng District Court in Jinhua City. Both
practitioners have been illegally sentenced to forced labor, and subjected to
severe and extended abuse. 5. [Wu'an City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners from Dawang Village
Possibly Taken into Police Custody On the evening of January 15, 2008, two practitioners from Dawang Village in
Wu'an City went out and did not return. After numerous inquiries, people who
knew the practitioners suspected that they had been taken into custody by
officers from the Qinghua Police Station. 6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lan Cuixiang Taken into Custody On December 13, 2007, Li Jianguang (male), an officer from the Zhaoyuan City
610 Office, led half a dozen policemen who arrived in three police
vehicles at Nanyujiazhuangzi Village in Zhangxing Town, Zhaoyuan City. The
policemen broke into practitioner Ms. Lan Cuixiang's home. They illegally
searched Ms. Lan's home in her absence, and confiscated numerous copies of
truth-clarification materials. On January 14, Li Jiangguang again
led half a dozen officers to Ms. Lan's home, and forcibly took her to the
so-called "Legal Training Center" in Zhaoyuan City - a brainwashing
center. After the officers took Ms. Lan into custody, they broke into Ms. Yu
Huanlan's home in Beiyujiazhuangzi Village, and confiscated Chinese editions of
the "Minghui Weekly" and other items. 7. [Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Yancai and Ms. Liu Chunyan Illegally Sentenced
to Prison Mr. Wang Yancai and Ms. Liu Chunyan have been illegally sentenced to prison.
Mr. Wang was given a 9-year sentence and Ms. Liu received 7 years. On January
17, 2008, Mr. Wang was taken to the Jilin No. 2 Prison, and Ms. Liu was taken to
the Huizuizi Women's Prison in Changchun City, Jilin Province. 8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province]Practitioners Ms. Zhang Shanqun, Mr. He
Sen, and Ms. Wang Minghui Taken into Custody On the afternoon of January 15, 2008, Ms. Zhang Shanqun, Mr. He Sen, and Ms.
Wang Minghui, practitioners from Chengdu City, went out to clarify the truth.
They were followed, and later arrested and taken to a police station. On the
afternoon of January 16, Mr. He and Ms. Wang returned home. Ms. Zhang's
whereabouts remain unknown. 9. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province], Practitioner Ms. Wang Suqin Taken to
Guangdi Police Station in Hongqi District on January 16, 2008 Guandi Police Station in Xinxiang City, Henan Province: 86-373-5761110 10. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sang Ronghui Taken into Custody On the evening of January 17, 2008, Mr. Sang Ronghui, a teacher at the
Intermediate Professional Television Education School, was illegally taken into
custody by policemen from the Haicheng Domestic Security Division and members of
the "610 Office". The police also searched Mr. Sang's home. Mr. Sang
is being unlawfully held at the Haicheng Detention Center. 11. [Hebei Province] Dingxing County 610 Office Takes Practitioners into
Custody On January 8, 2008, the Dingxing County 610 Office took into custody two
practitioners. The practitioners were Ms. Zhang Xixiu and Mr. Zhao Jinxian's
wife. Ms. Zhang was released after she was found to have heart problems during
the physical examination. Mr. Zhao's wife remains in custody. 12. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on Mr. Li Fuqing's
Detention On December 27, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Fuqing from Dishang
Village, Rizhuang Town, Laixi City, was taken into custody by officers from the
Rizhuang Police Station in Laixi City. The police took away Falun Dafa books,
portraits of the founder of Falun Gong, a cassette recorder, and a school bag
which contained 30 or 40 yuan in cash. Mr. Li was taken to the
detention center the same night. The policemen tortured him with various sets of
torturing devices. Mr. Li Fuqing's face turned black from the brutal abuse. He
was released after six days of torture. 13. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Shuqing Sent to Forced Labor Camp Ms. Zheng Shuqing, a practitioner from Chashuling Village in Jiaohe City, was
taken into custody by Xin Guangda (male) and other policemen from the Songjiang
Town Police station. On or around January 7, 2008, Ms. Zheng was illegally
sentenced to forced labor. She was taken to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in
Changchun City, Jilin Province. 14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhu Benfu Transferred
to Xihu Prison in Benxi City from Yingkou Prison 15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Lianxi and Four Other
Practitioners Transferred to Xinsheng Prison in Panjin City On December 18 and 19, 9007, Mr. Qu Lianxi and four other practitioners from
Dalian City were transferred from the Huazi Prison in Liaoyang City, Liaoning
Province to the Xinsheng Prison in Panjin City. The five practitioners have been
held separately in the No. 4 Team in the No. 3 Division of the Xinsheng Prison.
Some practitioners are on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. When
their families went to visit them, the officials only granted them telephone
meetings. The practitioners were followed by two prison guards who they refused
to allow their families to leave food or anything else. 16. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Hongxia and Her Mother Taken into
Custody At 9:00 a.m. on January 17, 2007, Wang Guangren (male) and several other
policemen from the Meihekou City Police Department broke into practitioner Ms.
Li Hongxia's home. They took Ms. Li into custody. Ms. Li's 7-year-old daughter
was so scared that she cried out loudly. Later, four policemen and one female
police officer broke into Ms. Xu Guilan's home, Ms. Li's mother, to illegally
arrest her. The police also confiscated Falun Dafa books and DVDs at both Ms.
Li's and her mother's homes. Ms. Xu was denied admission to the detention center
and was released at noon the same day. 17. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Yulan and Ms. Zhang Enjie Taken
into Custody On the evening of January 13, 2008, practitioners Ms. Gao Yulan and Ms. Zhang
Enjie, from the Qiaotou area in Benxi City, were illegally arrested by police
from the Sishanling Township Police Station in Nanfen District, Benxi City while
distributing truth-clarification materials. The two practitioners were taken to
the Lingxia Prison in the Qiaotou area of the Lingshan District on January 14,
2008. 18. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Huang Tiebo Secretly Transferred
to Hulan Prison; Mr. Huang Fujun Dies from Abuse On July 24, 2007, Mr. Huang Tiebo and Mr. Huang Fujun were illegally arrested
while they were distributing, truth-clarification materials at Hebei Hamlet,
Madian Village, Songfengshan Town, Archeng District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang
Province. Mr. Huang Fujun died as a result of the brutal torture he suffered in
detendion. On November 22, 2007, Mr. Huang Tiebo was illegally sentenced to
three years and six months in prison. On January 2, 2008, he was secretly
transferred to the Hulan Prison. 19. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhu Jingcai Sent to Forced Labor Practitioner Mr. Zhu Jingcai lives in Beichaoyangshan Village, Chalukou Town,
Dehui City. At around 8:00 p.m. on December 27, 2007, policemen from the
Chalujou Town Station illegally arrested him while he was on his way home. They
took him to the Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai City to serve a one year term. 20. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guijuan Arrested Practitioner Ms. Wang Guijuan, 43, lives on Xiangyang Street, Hongmei Town,
Meihekou City. She went to Beijing on January 10, 2008, and was illegally
arrested by policemen on Tiananmen Square. She was transferred back to Meihekou
City Detention Center on January 13, 2008. The police took more than three
thousand yuan cash and her home key. That same day, Ma Bensheng and two other
policemen from Hongmei Town Police Station used Ms. Wang's house key to
illegally enter and ransack her home. They took Falun Dafa books and Master's
photo. Ms. Wang is still illegally detained. 21. [Baidi District, Tianjin City] Additional Information on the Arrest of
Ms. Zhang Hongyan Practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongyan lives in Fifth Village, Lintingkou Town, Baodi
District. At noon on January 16, 2008, policemen from the Lintingkou Town
Station searched Ms. Zhang Hongyan's family-owned store and found several issues
of the Minghui Weekly in a drawer. They illegally arrested Ms. Zhang and
took her to the Lintingkou Town Police Station. On January 17, 2008, Ms. Zhang
was taken to the Baodi District Detention Center. Lintingkou Town Police Station: 86-22-82538301 Baodi District Police Department Director Office: 86-22-29241532,
86-22-29256283 22. [Tianjin City] Mr. Li Shaochen's Family Persecuted At around 7:00 p.m. on January 17, 2008, several policemen (some were plain
clothed) ransacked practitioner Mr. Li Shaochen's home, located in Hongqiao
District. They also arrested his wife, Ms. Zhang, and their daughter, Li Hong.
Mr. Li Shaochen escaped, but is missing. 23. [Heshui City, Hebei Province] Taocheng District Court Holds Trial Against
Practitioner Ms. Xue Jianru at 9:00 a.m. on January 21, 2008 24. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Facing Illegal Trials At 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2008, several practitioners were illegally
arrested near the City Central Square. Five among them were scheduled for trial
on January 25, 2008. 25. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ba Shuqun to be Illegally Tried on
January 21, 2008 26. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Seventy-three-year-old Practitioner
Arrested Practitioner Lu (gender and given name unknown), 73 years old, lives in
Yinjia Village, Hongdao Neighborhood, Chengyang District, Qingdao City. On the
morning of January 15, 2008, Community Security guards arrested Practitioner Lu
while this practitioner was clarifying the truth at the market. The guards took
Practitioner Lu to to the local police station. They also ransacked the
practitioner's home, taking away Falun Dafa books. Police Station: 86-532-87831061 27. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Dong Chunmei and Ms. Yang Xiangzhen
Arrested Practitioners Ms. Dong Chunmei (in her 40s, employed by a hospital) and Ms.
Yang Xiangzhen (in her 60s) both live in Tongzhaipu Township, Tanghe County,
Nanyang City. Around midnight on January 16, 2008, policemen from the Tanghe
County Police Department arrested the practitioners from their homes. This is
the third time that Ms. Dong has been arrested within the last year. Ms. Dong
has a teenage girl that needs to be cared for at home. Ms. Dong's daughter has
had to miss school for several months, and live alone. These two practitioners'
whereabouts are unknown. 28. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Suqin Illegally Arrested On January 16, 2008, police from Guandi Station (in the Developing Zone)
arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Suqin, and detained her at the Xinxiang City
Detention Center. Guandi Police Station: 86-373-5761110 29. [Yuzhong District, Chongqing City] Mr. Du Hanwen Illegally Arrested Practitioner Mr. Du Hanwen lives in Shiqiaopu Area, Jiulongpo District. On
the morning of January 14, 2008, policemen from the Shangqing Temple Station
illegally arrested him from Chongqing City Eleventh High School. They took him
to the police station and later to the Liudianzi Detention Center. 30. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Long Xianjun Illegally Arrested On the morning of January 17, 2008, policemen from the Tianhui Town Station
illegally arrested practitioner Ms. Long Xianjun while she was clarifying the
truth on the street. They ransacked her home the same morning. They even
arrested her husband, who is not a practitioner. 31. [Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Mr. Dong Zuming Arrested Practitioner Mr. Dong Zuming is an employee of Ji Street Lead Factory in
Gejiu City, Honghe Prefecture. On January 11, 2008, he was arrested by police on
his way home from a night shift. No one knows his whereabouts. 32. [Guangxi Zhuan Autonomous Region] Mr. Guan Haibin Still Detained Practitioner Mr. Guan Haibin was illegally tried by the Yuzhou District Court
in Yulin City on December 13, 2007. He is still detained. 33. [Wuhan City Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Illegally Arrested On the morning of January 18, 2008, police officers illegally arrested three
practitioners in Huangpi District, who are all from Jiang'an District: Ms. Yao
Jinfeng (in her 70s), Ms. Chen Hongyun (in her 50s), and Ms. Lin (given name
unknown, in her 60s). January 18, 2008
