By a practitioner from Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 29, 1994, I was fortunate to attend Teacher's seventh Falun Gong seminar held in Changchun. I listened to Teacher's lectures and learned the exercises. The lectures were given at Jilin University Auditorium, Changchun. There were about three to four thousand people who attended. Because there were so many people, it was divided into a daytime class and a nighttime class. The seminar lasted ten days and ended on May 8.

In retrospect, the ten days were truly the most happy and joyful days in my life. Teacher's face was gentle and compassionate. He looked very young, as if in his thirties. His skin was smooth, delicate, and rosy, and He was very energetic. He wore simple clothes: a gray suit with a white shirt and tie. I saw that a purple light surrounded him. He looked so righteous and transparent. The following is what I saw during the lectures. By sharing with fellow practitioners, I wish to express my gratitude and cherish myself as a Dafa disciple in the Fa rectification period.

1. Entering the Class and My Body Purification

On the first day, Teacher said (paraphrase), "Here I am giving a lecture. I am not healing diseases. We will rectify your body on a whole." Teacher asked attendees to stand up and said, "Think of one of your diseases. Relax your body. I will count one, two, and three and you should then stomp your right foot." Teacher waved his right arm and said, "Stomp your right foot together. Stomp!" Some people were too anxious and stomped their feet before Teacher counted. It was then repeated. Teacher was so patient. At that time I had stomach disease. I then thought of my stomach and it felt very comfortable.

At the beginning of Teacher's lecture, I felt very sleepy. I thought to myself, "I cannot sleep. How embarrassing if Teacher sees me sleeping!" However, I could not help it and fell asleep. I woke up when Teacher finished the lecture, however I did not miss a word and heard it all. I then heard Teacher saying,

"Because there are diseases in their heads, so they have to be adjusted. There's no way people could stand having their heads adjusted, so you have to anesthetize them. They don't know it, though. But for some people the hearing part doesn't have any problem. They sleep soundly but they don't miss a word, they hear it all, and then they're alert, and some of them don't get sleepy even if they go a couple days without sleep. These are the different conditions people are in, and they all need to be adjusted. Your whole body has to be purified." (Zhuan Falun, "The Second Talk," 2003 version)

Before I attended the lecture, I had suffered from migraine headaches, arteriosclerosis, coronary disease, and gastric disease for over thirty years. I also had other health problems such as cervical vertebra disease, rheumatism, enteritis, pelvic inflammatory disease and my legs and back were numb, etc. Although medical treatments alleviated my symptoms, they could not heal my diseases. However, all of these diseases were completely cured after only five days of attending Teacher's lectures. How miraculous! My own experiences proved that,

"Nothing is as profound as BUDDHA LAW. Of all teachings in the world it is the most wondrous and highest science." (From the article "On Buddha Law")

After the ten-day session, I completely changed physically and mentally. My skin became delicate and rosy and appeared much younger, and it has lasted to this day. It has been twelve years that I have been free of illness.

2. Teacher Demonstrating the Exercises

Teacher lectured for one-and-a-half hours every morning and taught the exercises for half-an-hour. In order for everyone to see him, he would walk through all the hallways from upstairs to downstairs. Teacher waved to practitioners while walking. Wherever he went, practitioners would stand up spontaneously and applaud. The whole auditorium was illuminated with the Buddha light. The atmosphere was lively. Teacher's movements were gentle yet powerful and elegant. Teacher also demonstrated for us the big hand movements that are not part of the exercises. When seeing that practitioners' movements were not accurate, Teacher would patiently correct them. Teacher was always happy. He set a good example in every detail.

3. Teacher Explains the Fa and Answers Questions

Every day Teacher arrived fifteen minutes early. His dress was tidy and his expression was solemn. When giving lectures, he held only a piece of paper. The practitioners who sat in front could see that there were only several lines of characters on the paper. Although there was a bottle of water on the table, Teacher never drank during the lecture. His voice was clear. With the simplest modern language, he taught the most profound principles, and practitioners listened attentively. The lecture hall was in great order and filled with Teacher's voice.

I recall that when answering questions, Teacher read a question regarding his personal life and his family. Teacher smiled and said, "I came to save you." The woman next to me was from Yanbian (and had followed Teacher for three sessions) and she was about fifty years old. She told me, "All of the female assistants that travel with Teacher are older than Teacher. Teacher is very, very righteous." Just as described in Teacher's article "Sage,"

"He is on a Providential mission in this world as well as in heaven above. He has bountiful virtue and also maintains a benevolent heart; he is full of great aspirations while minding minor details. With broad knowledge of the laws and principles, he is able to unravel uncertainties. Offering salvation to the world and its people, he builds up his merit naturally." ("Sage" from Essentials for Further Advancement)

4. Taking Photos

On the third day, we took photos with Teacher. Practitioners from the three provinces in the Northeast and from Heilongjiang Province were separated. In the photo with practitioners from Heilongjiang Province, I was right next to Teacher. I felt that Teacher was very tall as if he could reach the sky. I cannot express in words how happy I felt. After lecturing on the Fa and teaching the exercises, he tirelessly posed for pictures with all the different groups. He was truly respectful. Teacher always smiled and was easygoing.

One practitioner in his sixties (with gray hair) sat on a chair and had a picture taken with Teacher. Teacher asked him to stand up. He said, "I am ill. I have not been able to stand up for a long time." Teacher looked at him and said, "You can stand up." He then tried and really stood up! After taking pictures, Teacher asked him to walk without walking sticks. He really walked without them! He made several circles. He and his family knelt down in front of Teacher and said, "Thank you, Teacher, for saving my life." Such examples are countless. I will not list more of them here due to the space limitation.

5. My Thoughts

When the session was over I felt sad that it was time to say good-bye to Teacher. When I shared my experience, I could not control my tears... I promised to cultivate well and be a true disciple of Teacher.

Teacher said,

"The truth is, I treasure you more than you treasure yourselves!" ("Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

"Worrying about all things in the human world,
laboring the heart over hardships in heaven."
("High Places Are Extremely Cold" from Hong Yin, English Translation Version B)

We can understand only very little of it. Teacher has made a point of being responsible to society and to students during the process of transmitting his teachings and exercises. We will never fully know how much Teacher sacrificed for the sentient beings in this universe and for practitioners. We cannot express how wonderful and magnificent our Teacher is with human language.

As practitioners in the Fa rectification period, we should be even more serious and magnificent. With these happy memories, I will be motivated to cultivate myself well and fulfill my prehistoric mission. In this precious moment, I will grasp every moment and be diligent in doing the three things. We must study the Fa well, validate the Fa and save more sentient beings so that we will be deserving of Teacher's compassionate salvation and follow Teacher on the path of returning to our origins.

Note: It has been over ten years that I have been wanting to write this. However, because of human notions - always fearing that I cannot write well - I tried several times. Every time, I could not continue. Recently I enlightened that I should share with others and document the stories of our great Teacher teaching the Fa in the human world, and document the magnificent history and precious moments.

I come from the same area as the author of this article. I shed tears while reading every article in the fourth collection, "Memories of Teacher's Compassion." I cannot express my gratitude to Teacher. I truly miss our Teacher! Meanwhile I also know that if all of our practitioners in mainland China cultivate well and do what we should be doing, Teacher will be with us soon.

From our region, only two practitioners attended Teacher's lecture. One of them was tortured to death. When I read this article, I felt as if I saw this practitioner again. I thought of those practitioners whose organs were harvested while they were still alive, and I thought of those practitioners who are still being detained and tortured in prisons, labor camps and detention centers.

I don't mean to vent my emotion here. I only want to tell practitioners that I want to clearly realize my responsibilities, realize my prehistoric mission and fulfill that mission as a practitioner in the Fa rectification period. I also want to tell our local practitioners that during this period, we have the historic mission to save the sentient beings in this area. We need to stably and safely achieve everything, let go ourselves and melt into the Fa, study the Fa well, keep righteous thoughts, convey our Teacher's and Dafa's great compassion to sentient beings, and bring everyone in this area the message of salvation so that they will have opportunities to choose their future.

Every one of us should be a qualified contact person and coordinator. We must thoroughly eliminate all evil beings and factors that interfere with our cultivation and improve as a whole body to purify our cultivation environment.
