(Clearwisdom.net) On January 22, 2007, a Singapore court opened a hearing in the case involving six local Falun Gong practitioners who have been falsely charged by the Singapore government with holding an "assembly without permit." On that day Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners marched to the Consulate-General of Singapore in Hong Kong to deliver a protest letter. They urged the Singapore authorities to not act as an accomplice of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

At 2:30 p.m., practitioners gathered in Charter Garden and marched to the Singapore Consulate General to deliver the letter. They strongly protested the Singapore government charging six local Falun Gong practitioners with holding an "assembly without permit" for distributing fliers to support withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Practitioners read a statement in front of the Singapore Consulate General. They condemned some individuals in the Singapore government who are sacrificing morality and justice out of self-interest, and who have repeatedly abused their authority to persecute Falun Gong practitioners to appease the CCP.
They pointed out that the trial is an example of some individuals in the Singapore authorities appeasing the CCP. The incident took place two years ago on October 23, 2005, but the authorities forced the charge of "assembly without permit" on the practitioners and charged them in court nine months after the incident occurred and when Li Lanqing was visiting Singapore. Li Lanqing was the former Chinese Vice Premier and head of the 610 Office, which was established to persecute Falun Gong.

Lu Jie, one of the practitioners, said, "Facing the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP, the Singapore government is helping the CCP to do evil deeds by persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore. This is a disgrace. We admonish the Singapore government to immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners."
Starting from that day, Hong Kong practitioners will do sit-in protests outside the Consulate General of Singapore five days a week, and extend the length from three hours a day to nine hours in the daytime and five hours at night. As news came out that a Singapore court illegally sentenced six accused practitioners to two days in prison for protesting the court’s secret trial, more Falun Gong practitioners planned to protest outside the Consulate General of Singapore.
(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of January 13, 2007, the South Australia Service Center for Quitting the CCP held a truth-clarification poster exhibit on Victoria Square in Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. The activity was to support withdrawals from the CCP and to expose its crimes. Falun Gong practitioners in South Australia participated in this activity and explained the facts in Chinatown at the same time.
Along the avenues of the square were various banners and posters supporting the withdrawals from the CCP and exposing the CCP’s crimes. The content included a statement from the The Epoch Times, updated information on quitting the CCP, questions and answers on quitting the CCP, photos exposing the CCP’s killing of innocent people, and statements calling for an end of the CCP’s atrocity of live organ removal. Participants also distributed fliers and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in both Chinese and English.
One volunteer Mr. Wang said, "Quitting the CCP will bring people good fortune. Currently seventeen million Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. This is significant because these people know the evil nature of the CCP and have renounced the CCP to separate themselves from it. Under the CCP’s control for 56 years, many people are deceived by its lies and propaganda and do not know the facts. Our truth-clarification helps many people understand the facts and quit the CCP."
Victoria Square is surrounded by streets and there is a tramcar terminal station at the center of the square. There are crowds of people, and many passers-by accepted fliers after seeing the poster exhibit. Some Chinese students accepted the fliers and Nine Commentaries to read. Some took photos with their cell-phones.
One Chinese man who just came to Australia two months before from China accepted the Nine Commentaries and learned the facts from practitioners sincerely. He exchanged views with the practitioners. He had not joined the CCP or any its affiliated organizations. After learning the facts about quitting the CCP, he was moved by the practitioners’ kind hearts and shocked at the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Many western people signed the petition form to support the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong to enter China and conduct an investigation of the CCP’s live organ removal. One tourist from Europe indicated that he appreciated practitioners for helping him get information he never heard about before. He said that he would tell his countrymen and help others to pay attention to the issue and help stop the persecution..
(Clearwisdom.net) At the beginning of 2007, news suddenly broke in the Catholic Church in Poland that the newly appointed Archbishop of Warsaw, Stanislaw Wielgus, was accused of secretly cooperating with the secret police of the communist regime. At first, Wielgus tried to defend himself, arguing that he had not harmed anyone. As facts were revealed, on January 5, 2007, he published a statement admitting that "since I denied the fact of collaborating with the communist secret police, I did harm to the Church." On January 7, 2007, just 30 minutes prior to the Mass in which he was to be inaugurated in the capital of Poland, Wielgus resigned.
What did Wielgus do? A statement from the history committee of the Catholic Church in Poland said, "Plenty of evidence has indicated that Wielgus conscientiously collaborated with the communist secret police." Wielgus defended himself, saying that during the communist rule, all he did was to promise to notify the secret police of the agenda of overseas academic conferences that he was to attend, and agreed privately that he would not participate in any anti-communist activities, and that he did this under coercion.
Regardless, the public and Wielgus both acknowledged one point in the end: collaborating with the communist regime's secret police is shameful. This is especially so considering that prior to Poland's transition away from communism in 1989, the communist regime had killed 8 million Polish people during its 40 year reign. Any person who collaborates with a dictatorship regime, even if it was just signing an agreement, would have encouraged the butchers who held their knives high and helped the dictator in intimidating the people. An agreement signed in black ink back then is a shame that cannot be washed off today.
This case of Warsaw's Archbishop may cast some doubt among collaborators who willingly or unwillingly have signed agreements with the CCP in China, causing them to ask themselves if it is worthwhile to leave this shame that cannot be washed off just for the meager short term gains it may bring.
The attitude of the Polish public regarding collaborators with the communist secret police also brings to mind companies and organizations that recently canceled 2007 Spectacular contracts with NTDTV under enticement and threats by the Chinese communist secret police and spies. They probably should seriously read through the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to learn about the true face of the evil Party that has killed 80 million Chinese people and still carries out the killing even today, and to learn about the cruel facts of the Chinese Communist Party's profiting from organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. They should learn about the role NTDTV has played in spreading traditional Chinese culture and exposing the communist brutality - raising fear from the Communists while helping to awaken the Chinese public - 17 million of whom have published statements quitting the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, the CCP Youth League and the CCP Young Pioneers. Those who have compromised with the Chinese Communists because they wanted immediate gains will hopefully discover a sense of shame and regret. Hopefully they will make the right choice.
How many billions of dollars worth of public relations campaigns would it take to wash off the shameful history of collaborating with butchers that lack any human nature?
I would have you know that, if you kill such a one as I am, you will injure yourselves more than you will injure me. I do not deny that [you] may, perhaps, kill [me], or drive [me] into exile, or deprive [me] of civil rights. … [But] the evil of … of unjustly taking away another man's life [or injuring another] is greater [far than that of being injured unjustly]. Socrates, Plato’s Apology
Six women have been held in contempt of court in a country that has been noted by many for its use of the apparatus of the Internal Security Department (ISD) to deprive political opponents and critics of Lee Kuan Yew and his regime of their personal liberty and other due process rights. As several third party reports make clear, the judicial branch of government does not always operate independently in Singapore, but often serves as an arm of the far more powerful executive branch. Thus, the Singapore Institute of International Affairs observed in its "Freedom of Speech Report" for 2006 ( available at URL http://www.siiaonline.org/freedom_speech ), "Singapore courts have held that [even] speech questioning the integrity and independence of the judiciary is not allowed as it is "harmful to the public interest" and will "lower the authority of the courts." According to the United States Department of State, Country Reports on Human Rights Practices, 2003, defamation suits against political opponents of the PAP and its leadership are always decided in favor of government plaintiffs. According to the same report, this indicates to many that the PAP and its leadership use the judicial system for political purposes. Id.
Asian Human Rights Watch similarly notes in their 2005 report, titled, The Absence of the Rule of Law and the Actualization of Human Rights: a Contradiction that Must be Resolved, in Singapore, that "the ruling party [the People’s Action Party] is also virtually the state….The capacity to assert one's rights do not exist in this environment at all. The absolute denial of rights makes it impossible for the realization of any … rights."
Against this backdrop, the six women who had the courage to follow their conscience and do the right thing for their fellow citizens and for Singapore have been held in contempt of court and placed in a Singapore jail, for insisting on their right to a fair trial. This has occurred after they were deprived of their right to legal counsel of their choice, a courtroom open to the public, and the right to cross examine witnesses in support of their own defense.
What about the charges filed against them? In this regard, it is important to recall that sometimes a law is just on its face and unjust in its application. For instance, these women have been arrested on a charge of assembling without a permit. Now, there is nothing wrong in having an ordinance which requires a permit for an assembly. But such an ordinance becomes unjust when it is used as it is in this case to deny citizens their constitutional privilege of peaceful assembly and protest.
Writing to us from the Birmingham jail where he was imprisoned for his acts of civil disobedience, Martin Luther King made clear to the American public that the question is not "Why am I in jail?" But rather, "why are all good people not in jail with me"? HRLF commends those who, like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, took the high road to justice in Singapore, accepting and enduring the ordeal of jail for the sake of a far grander cause " moral integrity and virtue.

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 17, 2006, in the Czech Capital, the Czech people rallied and marched to Prague Castle in protest against organ harvesting atrocities in China. Falun Gong practitioners joined the march to protest against organ harvesting in China, particularly after learning in 2006 that thousands of living Falun Gong practitioners have had their organs harvested and their bodies cremated on orders from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). A press conference was held to accompany the march. The following is a letter of support from Mr. Roman Joch, director of the Czech NGO, The Civil Institute.
In 1948 the communists seized power in the former Czechoslovakia. One year later they seized power in China. Mao Zedong’s Communist regime was the most murderous in human history. Mao and his regime killed more people than both Stalin and Hitler combined. They killed more Chinese than all invaders in the 20th century.
In 1989 the communist regime in Czechoslovakia fortunately fell -- however in China it survived at the cost of the June 4th Tienanmen Massacre.
In 2001, twelve years after that massacre, the Chinese regime gained the right to host the 2008 Olympic Games. Last year, sixteen years after the massacre, some European countries suggested withdrawing their arms embargo, which was imposed on China in reaction to the 1989 massacre. Fortunately, that "suggestion," which feels like a scene from a horror movie, did not pass. But even suggesting such a thing is dangerous. It was an unethical, unwise and dangerous step against European interests. It is unethical, because the arms, imported to China, would mean strengthening the tyranny of Chinese communists against the Chinese people. It is unwise, because it would mean encouraging any wild, irresponsible, international undertakings of that regime. It is also dangerous, because the regime would be quick to abuse its power against its neighbors, like Taiwan. Of course, it would be helping the biggest dictatorship via arms supply to become a world superpower - and that naturally opposes European interests.
Or dare we say that the Chinese regime changed in these seventeen years? Not at all. It is not an authoritarian regime, that only abuses its political power and does not force other aspects of society under its state control. It is a totalitarian regime that does not tolerate even the smallest part to be independent of state control. That is why even the apolitical Falun Gong spiritual movement is heartlessly persecuted, as well as the independent Christians. The Laogai prison camps are fully comparable with the Nazi concentration camps or the Soviet gulags. Prisoners are forced to perform slave labor and are sometimes killed. Their internal organs are then sold for profit to rich foreigners.
The Chinese regime is trying to do the same as Japan did in the 1930’s and 1940’s: assume a hegemony in East Asia and the Pacific. The first step is to conquer Taiwan, despite its partnership with the US. This would achieve the effect of the US withdrawing from East Asia. The United States would want to avoid conflict with the new superpower, but if they accepted the Chinese demand, they would become their puppets as a result.
The Chinese regime is the biggest human rights abuser in the world. At the same time China is on the way to becoming a superpower. The rise of communist China is precisely the single biggest threat for all free countries in the 21st century. In the world of intercontinental ballistic missiles it is a threat not only for East Asia, but also for the whole world: for the US, Asia and also for Europe.
The Chinese regime knows that the Beijing Olympics in 2008 are a matter of prestige. It is the same prestige Hitler gained from Olympic games in Berlin 1936. But it took only four years to see bombs falling on Coventry. Are we to see Chinese bombs falling on Taiwan, America and then Europe?
Let’s hope not. Let’s hope that freedom-loving people all over the world will take action to liberalize and finally change the Chinese regime with responsible and principal politics before it is too late. No more overlooking its crimes, no more immoral deals with China, deals that benefit only its leaders and strengthen the regime. Do Chinese leaders want to do business with the West? OK, but change your internal politics first! Allow freedom of expression and freedom of religious belief, stop the repressions and give your people the freedom they want!

(Clearwisdom.net) Beijing Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yongwang, 34, is originally from Quyang County, Hebei Province. Because of his firm belief in Falun Gong, he was arrested in Shanghai on September 13, 2001. He was detained at a detention center in Shanghai and later at the Baoding City Detention Center in Hebei Province for 88 days. On December 11, 2001, Mr. Liu was taken to the Baoding Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Liu was subjected to inhuman torture at the hands of First Brigade Captain Li Dayong, guards Liu Yuesheng and Liu Qingyong, and camp physician Du Baochuan.
After Mr. Liu Yongwang's left leg became crippled from the severe torture, he was transferred to Tangshan Forced Labor Camp where he suffered further persecution. His left leg remained crippled after his transfer to Tangshan Forced Labor Camp. In the winter of 2003, part of his left leg gradually regained some functions, but still lacked strength. At that time, his left leg felt numb and painful. The numbness spread throughout the entire left leg and then to his right leg, calf, and the thigh. His anus had also become numb and he no longer could control his excretory functions. Both of his legs were so painful that he couldn't fall asleep at night. On April 30, 2004, he was taken to the Tangshan Worker's Hospital for an examination and was diagnosed with nerve damage in both legs.
Mr. Liu Yongwang went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. With the help from his family and morally upright people, he was released on medical leave in mid-June of 2004. But, he had to post bail.
After arriving home, his health improved from practicing Falun Dafa. The pain in his legs had also lessened. On August 24, 2005, Beijing National Security officers arrested Mr. Liu at his work place. He was first detained at the Beijing City Security Detention Center, then transferred to the Security Detention Center in Hebei Province, and then imprisoned at the Baoding City Detention Center. In late September, the pain in his legs returned. On October 25 he was taken to the 252nd Hospital for examination and was diagnosed to have displaced vertebra. Despite his medical condition, the "Special Investigation Team" tortured him in an attempt to extort a confession. From November 7 to 13, they tied his legs to a chair and used electric batons and high intensity light to torture him for seven consecutive days. Because his legs were fixed in place for a long time, they became swollen and his condition turned for the worse. Meanwhile, National Security agent Sun Lizhi broke into his home on the sly to install listening devices and also checked his work computer to find evidence so he could press charges against him.
In November 2006, the Baoding City Public Security Bureau, Xinshi District Procuratorate, and Xinshi District Court conspired to sentence him and three more practitioners. Mr. Liu went on a hunger strike on May 24, while on appeal, to protest the unlawful imprisonment and persecution.
On June 16, 2006, Baoding City Detention Center took the four practitioners to different prisons: Zhang Rongjie was taken to the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison, Zhi Zhanmin to the Baoding Prison, and Liu Yongwang and Wei Haiwu to the Tangshan Jidong Prison.
Mr. Liu had not been in good health since June 16, 2006, the day when he was taken to Tangshan Jidong Prison. His family was not informed, but found out about his imprisonment at the first Brigade after searching and inquiring about him. On July 7, his wife and seven year old daughter traveled a great distance from Baoding to visit Mr. Liu. The prison staff denied family visitations. After talking to Zhang Fuliang and Ma Changzheng from the Education Section for more than an hour, Ma Changzheng told them that given prison regulations, no matter how persuasive the reasons by the family or the weeping of a little daughter, they could not visit.
On December 16, 2006, Mr. Liu bit apart and swallowed the feeding tube to protest the savage force feeding. Once they could no longer force feed him, they allowed his family to come and visit him, because they were afraid of bearing responsibility for any consequences. He is now imprisoned in the First Brigade of the Tangshan Jidong Prison. He has been on a hunger strike for over seven months and has lost a lot of weight. Despite his health condition, prison guards forced him to sit on a bench from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Six people monitored him around the clock.
Prison guards used thin tubes for force feeding at the beginning, but now they use a tube as thick as a thumb. When prison guards force fed him, he threw up most of whatever they fed him. Besides his paralyzed lower limbs, he became emaciated and weak. He could neither walk nor stand. Several times he was in coma after force feedings. His life is in grave danger.
Yet, the guards at the prison claimed that he was fine. Education Section Chief Zhang Fuliang said disgustedly, "We won't release him even if he dies!" We hope all the kind people will extend a helping hand to stop this inhuman persecution.

Liu Yongwang's Recounting of His Suffering at the Baoding Forced Labor Camp
On December 11, 2001, I was taken to the First Brigade at the Baoding Forced Labor Camp, where I suffered cruel torture. As a result, my left leg is crippled now. I want to tell people about the criminal acts committed by First Brigade Captain Li Dayong and others at Baoding Forced Labor Camp. I call on the world’s governments and people who are upright and decent to investigate the crime they committed.
1. Despite Being on the Verge of Death, the Forced Labor Camp Still Accepted Me
Forced labor camp regulations state explicitly: "Those without satisfactory physical health can not be accepted for forced labor." But, staff at the labor camp disregarded laws and accepted a person who had been on hunger strike for three months and with health in a life threatening situation.
2. Savage Force Feeding
For the first twenty days after I arrived at the camp, I was given intravenous treatments. Each day I was given two bottles, one was glucose and the other was sodium chloride. They stopped the intravenous feeding on December 30. At 10:00 a.m. on January 1, 2002, police told me they were going to force-feed me. Two prisoners took me to the captain’s office. Many people were there, including the Director of Public Health Zhang, prison physician Du Baochuan, and the First Brigade Captain Li Dayong. A chair was placed in the middle of the room. Du Baochuan forced me to sit in that chair and some people held my head and my arms. My entire body was in pain and I could barely breath. Du Baochuan gave the orders and did not stop cursing. They then used a metal spoon to pry open my mouth and a plier to keep my mouth open. They were so forceful that my upper palate began to bleed. Then, they fixed my tongue so I couldn't move it. The prison physician ordered Wang Shunwei to begin the force feeding. Wang said, "I have never done it before." The prison physician cursed at him and ordered the person who was holding my head to squeeze my nose, so I could only breath through my mouth. As I was breathing deeply, a spoonful of liquid was forced down my throat. As I was just breathing with my mouth, I swallowed the liquid. I felt like I was being held under water and choked. I felt an indescribable fear and subconsciously held my breath. As I was holding my breath, another spoonful of liquid was forced down my throat. I found out later that the liquid was a mixture of powdered milk and salt. They continued to do this. I struggled but I couldn't move. I feared being murdered. A large portion of liquid had entered my lungs.
After I was force fed, my entire body was in pain, especially the chest area. I broke out in a cold sweat, but the prison physician laughed maliciously and ridiculed me. It was obvious that they use this behavior to intimidate their victims.
In January of 2002, after being force fed, 46 year-old practitioner Ping Guoguang spat blood incessantly. He died two weeks later.
3. Being Comatose and Losing Control Over Bodily Functions
I was taken back to the confinement cell. I had severe chest pain and could hardly breath. I breathed heavily and had a fever. My heartbeat went up to 120 and I could only lie on the bed board. I couldn't breath and had chest pain when I raised my head. At 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., I suddenly felt great pain, a chill and wanted to defecate. They brought me a spittoon. I had a difficult time lying down on the bed. As soon as I lay on the bed I felt excruciating chest pain and lost consciousness. I was lying in bed when I woke up. I had no idea how long I was unconscious. No one would tell me anything except that I was incontinent. They then pointed to a spot with defecation marks on the blanket. The fast heartbeats, breathlessness, and pain continued. The following day, I heard someone saying that they were ready to force-feed me. I was thus forced to begin eating again. They didn't carry out the force feeding.
On the evening of January 2, I spat some blood and had nose bleeding. I spit many mouthfuls of blood on the floor. The doctor from the health department examined the blood on the floor and said that it wasn't from my stomach. He ordered it wiped clean and didn't do any thing about it. Chen Guang, the person on duty, found out my eyes were red and called the doctor to measure my temperature. Later, I was taken to the emergency room at the 252 Hospital and received five bottles of I.V. I was taken back to the forced labor camp the following day.
I was bedridden. When I raised my head or turned to the side, I gasped for air, had chest pain and spit up blood. This continued for over a month.
Beginning January 3, they locked me in a confinement cell and put me on an I.V. My temperature was over 42 degrees Celsius (107.6oF), sometime over 43 (109.4oF). I was semi-conscious during this time. I later heard that it was dangerous to have such a high body temperature.
4. People Suffering Tuberculosis and With Crippled Legs Were Imprisoned
At the time I was spitting up blood, someone named Zhang Wanxin from the Northwest who had late stage tuberculosis was also locked up in my confinement cell. The forced labor camp regulations state that people with contagious diseases will not be accepted. But the authorities disregard all laws.
I was bedridden since January 3. Once, my temperature dropped slightly, and I had some weird feeling in my left leg. I had a feeling, but it wasn’t really painful. I also could not move my legs. In September, I was taken to Nanshi Section Hospital for examination and was told that I had a nerve injury. I could sue prison physician Du Baochuan and the First Brigade Captain Li Dayong, as they had violated Regulation 248 of the Criminal Law, which dealt with the abuse of prisoners. Prison physician Du Baochuan had also violated Regulation 335 of the Criminal law which covers medical malpractice.
5. A Punishment Room was Opened And Practitioners were Beat Daily
In July 2002, the First Brigade opened three rooms on one side of the confinement cell, which were used as punishment rooms. They used inhuman torture at any time on practitioners who refused to renounce their belief. Practitioners were shocked with electric batons, resulting in blisters all over their bodies. They also suffered other injuries. The whole First Brigade was in fear. This went on for over six months and up to a year. They closed all windows when they tortured practitioners. They also made sure there were no witnesses and told the person on duty to go somewhere else when they tortured practitioners. Every time they stopped the torture for a while one could smell burning flesh in that area. They used a mop to clean the blood that had dripped from practitioners' faces.
Practitioners who had written a solemn declaration to nullify their reform statements, which were written after being cruelly beaten, were again beaten up.
6. "Killing Rope" Cut Into My Flesh
On the morning of October 13, 2002, police ordered four people to take me to the punishment room. Policemen Liu Yuesheng and Li Dayong used a "killing rope" to torture me. They put a rope around my chest and asked me, "Do you want to reform or not?" I said, "It is against the law to beat people." They then removed my jacket, leaving me only wearing thin clothes. They put a rope around my neck, then tied it in several loops around my shoulders, armpits and arms. Then the rope was tied behind my back and they lifted the rope. The first time they roped me, Liu Yuesheng held my head and two others roped me behind my back. Since tying a rope for a long time in such a manner would cripple ones arms, they loosened the ropes after a while. They roped me three times a day. On the second day, they put small sticks and wine bottles under my armpits so the rope could be tightened even further. The rope cut into my flesh. I still have scars on my shoulders from the cuts.
7. Beatings with Leather Belts and Bamboo Sticks, and Shocked with Electric Batons
After I was roped, they beat me. Li Dayong used a leather belt to hit my face, body, and back. He also used a police rope folded to about a foot long and used it to whip my face until my mouth was filled with blood, which was dripping out of my mouth. One of my upper teeth is still loose and black today because of the beating. I shouted, "Beating people is against the law," "Falun Dafa is good," and "Cultivation is not a crime." Guard Liu Liang then joined the torture team. He used a bamboo stick to beat my face, mouth, and nose. I then had nose bleeding. After beating me for a while, they tied my back to a chair. With an evil expression on his face, Li Dayong used an electric baton to shock my entire body, including my crippled left leg, chest, and top of my head.
Because of my shout, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Beating people is against the law," they shocked my mouth with an electric baton until it ran out of charge. I was so badly beaten that my mouth was swollen and bleeding. Even the prison physician was shocked.
8. Being Tied to a Bed Board for 21 Days and Beaten with Electric Batons
They beat me for two days and roped me five times after October 14. I was tied on a bed board for 21 days. My hands and feet were tied to the four corners of the bed so I couldn't move. I was only covered with a quilt. They beat my back and buttocks with electric batons. My back became purple and black, and my skin cracked and bled. Later I had scabies.
9. The Prison Inflated the Cost for Medical Care to Cover Its Inhuman Behavior
Li Dayong spread rumors among practitioners that they had spent ten thousand yuan on medical expenses for me. But he had never mentioned it to me, because I knew the cost involved. Four times at the hospital cost about five hundred yuan and the total cost was less than one thousand yuan for the treatment. They told others that the medicines they used were the best. During the three months of hunger strike, they used two bottles of I.V., one was glucose and other was sodium chloride. They only gave me one bottle of I.V. when I was at the 252 Hospital for emergency treatment. Director Zhuang said that he had provided good I.V. for me, but it was only a type mixed with some powder. I had eight bottles of I.V. each day for eight days. Later I found out the cost of the I.V. was only 2.2 yuan. Besides I.V. there were five types of vitamins. All the medicine costs less than five hundred yuan. Counting the cost of gasoline and treatment it was still less than one thousand yuan. When Li Dayong spread the rumor that they had spent ten thousand yuan on me, people who did not know the facts would think they were being very humanitarian.
10. Listening to Their Despotic Statements
After Dafa practitioner Ping Guoguang died after being force fed, Li Dayong said to me twice, "If you are so brave, go on a hunger strike." After they beat me, I told them that they were violating the law. Li Dayong responded, "Go ahead sue me. You don't have any evidence," since they always committed their crimes without anyone present, and they wiped clean all the blood to destroy potential evidence. When I was tied to a bed, I told them that what they did was against the law, but they said to me shamelessly, "I have total authority over whomever is imprisoned here." When they used rope and electric batons to shock me, I told them it was against the law. But Li Dayong said to me, "These are police tools and I was given the authority by our country."

1. Ms. Cao Qiangqiang's Experience of Being Tortured
Ms. Cao Qiangqiang, 51 years old, was from Beizhuangdui, Xiaojin Village, Xiaojin Town, Xifeng City, Qingyang area. On March 2002, Ms. Cao and five other practitioners planned to go to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa. Her husband, poisoned by the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) vicious propaganda against Falun Gong, went to the Xiaojin train station to stop her. He threatened to divorce her and eventually took her to government officials. A law executing officer, Gao Liangqing ordered Ms. Cao's husband to take her home and strictly monitor her.
Two days later, Ms. Cao escaped from her home and went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. Police officers from Beijing arrested her and took her to the Xifeng Police Station in Beijing. Ms. Cao was detained there for five days before they sent her back to Xiaojin. Vice Director of the Xiaojin Police Station, Fan (first name unknown), made Ms. Cao sit on a stool overnight and then took her to the Xifeng Detention Center. They locked her up for 30 days. During that time, the guards forced Ms. Cao to go to crowded meetings in schools and government institutes to been seen in public as a "criminal" in order to humiliate her. Ms. Cao was fined 1000 yuan before they released her. Government officials tried to force her to write guarantee statements promising not to practice Falun Gong any longer. Ms. Cao refused and was thus exhibited as a "criminal" in a public area for five hours. They then took her to the Xifeng Drug Rehab Center and she was tortured by drug abusers.
The Xiaojin Town Police Station forced Ms. Cao's husband to write a guarantee that Ms. Cao would never practice Falun Gong again before they let her go. The police confiscated all her Dafa books from her home. She also had to report to the police every other day and they sent someone to watch her at home.
In June 2000, Ms. Cao was detained for seven days in the brainwashing center in the Xiaojin Town Kindergarten.
In November 2000, Ms. Cao and other practitioners went to Beijing to validate Dafa. The police arrested and locked them in a basement. The police handcuffed and beat her for three days and took all her cash (600 yuan) and belongings. Later she was sent back to the Xifeng Detention Center and locked up for one month. Zheng Xiang, a guard in the detention center, often berated and cursed at her.
In January 2001, officer Zhang Zhenghua and officer He (first name unknown) arrested Ms. Cao and locked her in the Xifeng Drug Rehabilitation Center for seven days. The authorities illegally sentenced her to one year in a forced labor camp. Ms. Cao stood up against this persecutory act with righteous thoughts and the decision was canceled. However, the police decided to lock her in the rehab center for seven months. Ms. Cao went on a hunger strike. Four days later, the rehab center released her on a 1,000 yuan fine fearing that she would die in the center.
In June 2002, the Xiaojin Town Police Station unlawfully locked Ms. Cao into the Xifeng Drug Rehabilitation Center for 16 days and extorted 3160 yuan from her as "meal expenses" before they released her.
In February 2003, someone reported Ms. Cao when she distributed truth clarification materials. The police arrested her and took her to the Zhenyuan County Police Station and kept her overnight without giving her any food or water. Later she was sent to the Xifeng Detention Center where they kept her for over 40 days and then sentenced her to two years and three months in a forced labor camp. The police didn't inform her family and hence Ms. Cao did not have any extra clothing. On the way to the camp, they tortured her until she vomited and passed out. The camp refused to take her in after they performed a physical examination on her. The police had to take Ms. Cao back to the Xifeng Police Station. Ms. Cao went on a hunger strike for 16 days and she was on the brink of death. The police didn't want to be held responsible for her death and therefore released her.
In April 2004, Ms. Cao was reading Falun Dafa articles at home. Zhang Shaohua, director of the Shaojin Town Police Station, and two other officers broke into her home and started yelling. They even went to the neighbor's house without a warrant trying to search for Falun Gong materials that belonged to Ms. Cao. The police didn't find any materials and took away her Dafa books. From then on, the police went to Ms. Cao's house to harass, monitor, and threaten her periodically. This caused tremendous burden on her family.
2. Dafa Practitioner Ms. He Xuemei's Experience of Being Tortured
Ms. He Xuemei, 52 years old, was from Baiaodui, Nanli Village, Xiaojin Town, Xifeng City, Qingyang Area, Gansu Province. In March 2000, Ms. He and five other practitioners went to Beijing to validate Dafa. The Tiananmen Public Safety personnel illegally arrested them and sent them back to their local police station. Officer Miao (first name unknown) beat and kicked Ms. He, handcuffed her onto a big truck and sent her to the Xifeng Detention Center. They detained her there for one month. Officers from the Xiaojin Police Station tried to force her to write a "guarantee statement" that she would renounce Falun Gong. She refused and police officers handcuffed and brutally beat her. Miao punched Ms. He in the face more than 30 times and smashed her head against the wall many times. She passed out frequently. The police even wanted money from her. In the end, the police locked her in the Xifeng Drug Rehabilitation Center for 15 days. During that time, the government authorities incited Ms. He's husband to divorce her. The government took her and 16 other Dafa practitioners to public places claiming they were criminals and openly humiliated them. The police called the local TV station to come and make a video in order to distort the facts and to defame Falun Gong.
In April 2004, the local authorities instigated Ms. He's husband to torture her and force her to leave her home. Ms. He begged for food and slept on wood chips and traveled to a practitioner's home in Linjing, Zhenyuan County. The police happened to be at that practitioner's house doing an illegal search and thus arrested her. The police tortured and interrogated her. During the next seven days, she went through tortures in several detention centers before they sent her home.
The CCP instigated Ms. He's husband to torture her in inhumane ways. Her husband beat her many times until she lost consciousness. Ms. He's husband sometimes beat her with an iron rod until she lost control of her bowel movement. One time her husband beat her with a wooden rod until the rod broke and her legs were covered with bruises. He then locked her in a room for five days. Ms. He had to escape from her own home on August 22, 2005. Because she didn't have a place to stay, she had to return home in June 2006.
Ms. He Xuemei's home phone number is 86-934-8412520. Her husband's name is Zuo Jiren.
3. Dafa Practitioner Ms. Mao Caizhen's Experience of Being Tortured
Practitioner Ms. Mao Caizhen, 43 years old, was from Xiguandui, Xiaojin Village, Xiaojin Town, Xifeng District, Qingyang Area, Gansu Province. She tried to go to Beijing on March 25, 2000 to appeal for Falun Gong but police officers from the Xiaojin Police Station seized her at the Xi'an Train Station. The police took her back to the Xifeng City Public Safety Bureau and detained her. On April 18, during the detention, police officers forced 16 Falun Gong practitioners to walk on the streets of Xiaojin Town to publicly display them as "criminals" and humiliate them. The 16 practitioners included Ms. Mao Caizhen, Yang Guoliang, Cao Guifang, Ms. Shi Xiqin, Ms. Cao Qiangqiang, Liu Runlan, Jin Xiulan, Zuo Fenlan, Ms. He Xuemei, Zhang Xiuyun, Xie Gangfeng, Liu Zhirong (has been tortured to death), Li Ruihua, Xu Zhengze, Yao Xikui, and Jiao Lili. On April 25, the police fined Ms. Mao 1200 yuan and then released her.
On July 3, 2000, police officers took Ms. Mao to the Xiaojin Police Station and brutally beat her. On July 24, 2000, the police arrested Ms. Mao and several practitioners and took them to the brainwashing center for seven days. They were trying to make them renounce Falun Gong. On November 30, 2000, Ms. Mao went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong again. The police from the Xifeng Public Safety office arrested and detained her until December 30. On January 5, 2001, the police deceived Ms. Mao into going to the police station. Ms. Mao escaped and had to be homeless to avoid arrest for three months.
On April 5, 2001, the authorities sentenced Ms. Mao without reason to one year of forced labor at the First Women's Forced Labor Camp in Gansu Province. In the camp, drug abusers Ma Shulin and Liu Ping often beat and slandered Ms. Mao. Guards Fan Yirong and Ma Wei hung Ms. Mao up into the air with handcuffs without her feet touching the ground for seven consecutive days attempting to force her to renounce Falun Gong. Guard Fan Yirong beat her with a leather belt until she passed out. Fan would take her down until she regained consciousness and then continued the torture. Fan also ordered another guard to beat Ms. Mao until she was badly injured. This happened three times. In the camp, Ms. Mao received half a piece of bread per meal. Once she was forced to stand up around the clock for three months. After she served her term in the camp, the guards kept her for another 42 days before they let her go home.
In March 2004, three officers went to Ms. Mao's home to harass, illegally search her home and interrogate her.
4. Practitioner Ms. Zhi Xiqin's Experience of Being Tortured
Ms. Shi Xiqin, 62 years old, was from Nanzhuangdui, Licheng Village, Xiaojin Town, Xifeng City, Qingyang Area. She started practicing Falun Dafa in August 1998. In March 2000, Shi and five other practitioners planed to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. On their way, officer Zhang Zhenghua stopped them at the Xi'an Train Station. Zhang took 100 yuan from Ms. Shi and sent her back to the Xiaojin Police Station. There they handcuffed her overnight, and then sent her to the Xifeng Detention Center for one month. Zhang also fined her 1200 yuan. During this time, Ms. Shi was taken to meetings and humiliated in public as a "criminal." The police used high volume speakers to openly slander Teacher and Falun Gong.
From May 2000 to January 2001, the authorities arrested Ms. Shi three times and sent her to different brainwashing centers.
In May 2000, Ms. Shi was taken to the Xiaojin Town Culture Station second floor where she was being tortured.
In November 2000, Ms. Shi and another practitioner went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. The Beijing Yongwai Police Station arrested and detained her. Ms. Shi was left on a small stool in an office for four consecutive days without being given any food or water. Her physical condition was deteriorating and the police released her.
In January 2001, officers Shao Jun and He Guohua illegally arrested her and sent her to the Xiaojin Kindergarten Brainwashing Center again.
On July 26, 2001, Ms. Shi was at home eating fruit with practitioners Yang Guoliang, Jiao Lili, Zhang Zhihe, Yue Yinfen, and Wang Meimei. Officer Shao Jun, He Guohua, and Jin Jianxun arrested them and exposed them to the baking sun for over six hours. The police officers took their money and sent them to the Xifeng Detention Center. Police officers beat them brutally and locked them in the detention center for one month. Ms. Shi was homeless for a month after she was released in order to avoid being arrested again. Later, police officers arrested her again and sent her to the Xifeng Drug Rehab Center and detained her there for 40 days. Ms. Shi was sentenced to one year of forced labor at the Lanzhou Forced Labor Camp.
In the Camp, Ms. Shi was once hung upside down and beaten for eight consecutive days. She had to stand facing the wall for three months another time. The camp forced her to do heavy physical work for which she did not have the strength and thus she passed out many times. When Shi's term was over on July 26, 2002, the police used the excuse that she had not written a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Gong and therefore, they took her to the Xifeng Drug Rehabilitation Center for brainwashing. Ms. Shi was physically weak and often vomited. She didn't eat for eight days and started to pass out a lot. When police officers saw that her life was in danger, they released her to avoid being held responsible for her death.
On September 4, 2002, when Ms. Shi was in bed recovering from the torture, eight officers from the Xiaojin Town Police Station, including Zhang Shaohua and Fan Zhe forcefully dragged her to the police station. Officer Zheng Xiang slapped her and humiliated her with vicious words and they kept her there for one day.
On the morning of March 26, 2003, officer Liu Hongwei noticed that Ms. Shi and another practitioner were distributing truth clarification materials. Ms. Shi was able to get away but the other practitioner didn't. Under pressure, this practitioner provided the police with Ms. Shi's whereabouts. The police arrested Ms. Shi and interrogated her for eight hours. In the end, the police took her to the Xifeng Detention Center and detained her there for three months. Afterward, Ms. Shi was sentenced to two years and six months forced labor.
Before Ms. Shi was taken to a forced labor camp, guard Yang Zhengkui beat her and tortured her. Ms. Shi wasn't even given time to get ready and pack her clothes before she was taken to the Lanzhou Second Forced Labor Camp. While in the camp, Ms. Shi was forced to do intensive heavy work, forced to stand for a long time, deprived of sleep, and wasn't allowed to use the toilet. Guards instigated drug abusers to humiliate her. Captain Xia (first name unknown) viciously beat her many times and caused her to lose consciousness. Ms. Shi was released in August 2005.
(Clearwisdom.net) From October to December 2006, officers of the Wuwei City Public Security System and the Liangzhou District Government in Wuwei City executed a policy of persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners, and launched a new cycle of persecution.

They checked everybody who practiced Falun Gong citywide, requiring them to state their positions in written and signed statements. Those on the black list were monitored day and night, and thugs were recruited to lie in wait and arrest practitioners. They interrogated those who visited Dafa disciples’ homes whether they practiced Falun Gong or not, and abducting those they suspected. They abducted Ms. Han Xiuzhen, Ms. Yang Xiulian, Ms. Ma Yulan, Guo Yuliang and others.
In recent years, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents in Wuwei City have cooperated with the 610 Office and cruelly persecuted Dafa disciples. Ms. Huang Xinjin, Ms. Dong Jinlan, and Mr. Wei Xinhua were persecuted to death, as were Mr. Song Yanzhao, Ms. Liu Lanxiang, and Mr. Liu Yongchun, whose cases have already been reported on Clearwisdom.net. Four truth clarification material production sites were destroyed, more than one million yuan was looted, thirty Dafa disciples were illegally sentenced to prison and another thirty-seven people to forced labor camps, and more than 200 Dafa disciples were illegally detained. Countless stereos, TVs, washing machines and other electronic devices were confiscated from their homes, even food and seeds were stolen, as was all the cash.
The National Security Team, lead by the infamous Chen Fenggang, is the most evil, they went so far as to burn the practitioners’ exercise mats. For his role Chen Fenggang was promoted to Vice Chief of the Public Security Department.

(Clearwisdom.net) In mid-December 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Jingwen and his son, Xu Changfeng, 19 years old, from Zhuwangbao Village, Zhuwangbao Town, Yongchang County, Jinchang City, Gansu Province, were arrested at home by local police and their belongings confiscated. The approximately 9000 yuan that the family had borrowed from relatives to pay for the eldest son's wedding was also taken. Afterwards, the police arrested Mr. Xu's wife, Ms. Xu Guixiang, and sent this family of three to the Yongchang County Detention Center in Jinchang City. Prior to this, Mr. Xu Jingwen and his wife had been forced to become destitute and homeless for three years to avoid arrest.
Ms. Xu Guixiang began cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998. Before that she had health problems that affected her whole body such as rheumatism, gynecological problems, etc. But after practicing Falun Gong all her diseases disappeared and she felt profound gratitude towards Dafa, which she credits for saving her life. After 1999 when the persecution of Falun Gong began, she went to Beijing to appeal in October 2000, requesting that Falun Dafa's good name be restored. Because she appealed, she was taken into custody in the Yongchang County Police Department for a month and then sent to Pingantai Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou City for a year and a half. After she returned home in 2002 she continued to firmly practice Falun Dafa. Yongchang County police officers arrested her again and sent her to the detention center there. In 2003 she was arrested for a third time and sent back to the same detention center in Yongchang County for approximately five months for clarifying the truth. In 2006 her home was ransacked by the police. After she escaped with righteous thoughts she was forced to become destitute and homeless to avoid being arrested again.
Ms. Xu Guixiang's husband, Mr. Xu Jingwen, is 45 years old. After seeing the huge improvements in his wife from practicing Falun Gong, as well as the persistence of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of good people, Mr. Xu started to practice Dafa in 2002. In 2003 he was arrested by the police department in Yongchang County because he wrote a letter to the local police station, the town government, and the police department to clarify the truth. After being imprisoned in the Yongchang County Detention Center for several months, he walked out with righteous thoughts and has been destitute and homeless since, unable to return to his home.
At the end of November 2006 Mr. Xu Jingwen and his wife quietly returned home to prepare for the wedding of their eldest son. They were reported to the authorities by people unaware of the truth. Plainclothes police disguised as hunters monitored their home. After spotting Mr. Xu Jingwen and his wife, approximately 40 people from the Zhuwangbao local police station of Yongchang County and the police department in Yongchang County rushed into their home, arrested Mr. Xu Jingwen and his younger son, and snatched the cash, a computer, and an air-gun from the family of Xu Jingwen's younger brother. Moreover they continue to harass the family.
The police took turns mercilessly beating Falun Dafa practitioners at the local police station. Mr. Xu Jingwen and his son were beaten to unconsciousness on the scene. The local police authorities feared being held responsible for the practitioners' condition, so the two were sent to the hospital first. They finally regained consciousness several days later. Afterwards the police arrested Mr. Xu Jingwen's wife, Ms. Xu Guixiang, and sent this family of three to the Yongchang County, Jinchang City, detention center.

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2006, during the lunch hour, Dafa practitioner Tan Haiyan, who was held in the No. 9 prison division of the Panzhihua Detention Center, shouted three times: "Falun Dafa is good!" Guard Zeng Xiaomin yelled at the inmates who resided with Tan: "Why didn’t you cover her mouth?"
Guard Zeng Xiaomin used the "implication method" to punish everyone, including an inmate who has heart disease, by forcing them to stand from noon till three in the afternoon. Guard Zeng Xiaomin instigated each inmate to beat Tan Haiyan in turn, and whoever refused to do so would be punished by her. She also forced inmates to cover Tan Haiyan’s mouth with a dirty mop. Some inmates tore Tan’s sheet into long narrow strips and tied Tan’s hands behind her back.
After two days of continuous torture, Tan Haiyan’s legs were swollen from the kicking and she was covered with bruises. She suffered similar brutal abuse in April of 2006.
Mrs. Tan Haiyan is 44 years old; she was a worker from the Zhu Mine of the Panzhihua Steel Corporation in Sichuan. She was arrested on August 25, 2000 while clarifying the truth and sending out truth-clarifying material. She was held in the No. 3 Public Security Bureau and was interrogated all night; the guards brutally tortured her, deprived her of sleep and hung her up with cuffs to an iron rail. She was sent to Wanyaoshu Detention Center the next day and held there for 45 days before being transferred to the Zizhong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan. She suffered all sorts of brutal torture: electric shocks to all parts of the body, being forced to stand for long periods of time, deprived of warm clothes in the winter, forced to stand under the baking sun in the summer, deprived of water, deprived of the right to go to the bathroom or take a shower, forced to take or accept injections of unidentified drugs, the "Big Hang Up", etc.
On April 9, 2006, Ms. Tan Haiyan was at home. Police from the Public Security Bureau in Panzhihua City Security Department of Zhu Mine, Panzhihua Steel Corporation and a policeman named Jia Chongwen from Majiawan Police Station attempted to raid her home. She refused to open the door. The police used a crowbar to attempt to pry open the door and in the meantime went to find her husband and threatened him with a gun to open the door. When her husband came, the key no longer worked as the lock had already been damaged. After the police pried open the door, they raided the house, stole most of her personal belongings, illegally arrested Ms. Tan Haiyan, and took her to the Panzhihua Detention Center.
Ms. Tan Haiyan was sentenced to six years in the labor camp and held in Chuanxi Female Prison in Longquanyi, Chengdu City.

(Clearwisdom.net) In 2004 I was illegally imprisoned in the Lanzhou City Women's Labor Camp, where I witnessed the guards brutally torturing Falun Gong practitioners.
The police from the labor camp often forced all detained Falun Gong practitioners to write a so-called "statement" to give up practicing Falun Gong. If anybody refused to do so, they would torture her with many different methods. Once, Ms. Zhang Xuxia from Qingyang City shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in the labor camp. She was taken to a garrison room and a female guard instructed a prison inmate to beat her badly. I saw her mouth bleeding and swollen after she came back.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Linxia from Zhuanglang City was frequently tortured by the guards. The guards forced Falun Gong practitioners to practice another form of qigong outside our practice. Ms. Liu Linxia refused to do so. Guard Fan Xiaohong (female) and Director Yue took her to a garrison room, where they locked her in the middle of the two beds. They handcuffed her feet in the air for a week. I saw her whole body, including her feet, badly swollen. The police also forced her, while handcuffed, to slander Falun Dafa at a labor camp meeting.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Dongmei from Lanzhou City was handcuffed and locked in the garrison room for a week because she didn't cooperate with the guards. Her whole body was swollen and distorted. The guards often instructed the prison inmates to beat and scold her unreasonably. They then tried to sway her with food and drink.
Another Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Zhao Jinping from Qingyang City Petroleum Field, was forced to write a statement to renounce her belief in Falun Dafa. Because she refused to do so, she was deprived of sleep. At the same time, they forced her to do heavy labor work during the daytime. She was tortured for a month. Since she refused to accept the brainwashing, the guards hung up the inmate who monitored her. They hung the inmate up by her hands in the office to warn other inmates who had monitored and failed to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners. Once guard Fan Xiaohong locked Ms. Zhao Jinping in a small cell (1) for a week. She was not allowed to go to the toilet. She was illegally detained 20 more days from the original term before she was released.
I frequently heard that Falun Gong practitioners who refused to be transformed were sent to a strictly controlled ward and forced to sleep on the cement floor. They were frequently beaten and scolded. Whenever a new Falun Gong practitioner came in, she was forced to go through brainwashing. If she was not "transformed," she would be beaten black and blue, with bruises covering her body. Some of them were not allowed to drink water. The guards examined Falun Gong practitioners once a month to force them to repeat what the guards taught. If anybody refused to participate, the guards failed the practitioner, deducted prison points and extended their prison terms.

(1) Locking up in a Small Cell - The detainee is locked up in a very small cell individually. The guards handcuff practitioners on their back in a fixed position, in which the practitioners can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served to detainees locked up in a small cell during the daytime. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe.

As a result, the police also arrested him and sent him to the Gongzhuling Dongshan Police Substation, where he was handcuffed.
Early in the morning on November 25, when the police were interrogating him, he was a little slow in answering their questions, so the police beat him up until he had bruises over his face and head. They took photos of him with blood all over his face.
In the afternoon, he was sent to the detention center and was again severely beaten by Yu Po and Yang Dashuai. Mr. Wang Yancai was beaten until he lost consciousness, and he was held in the cell by four other detainees. He lost consciousness for over five hours. The police forced him to admit that he practices Falun Gong.
After Mr. Wang Yancai regained consciousness, the detainees, instigated by Director of the Dongshan Police Substation Sun Wei and Yang Dashuai, covered Mr. Wang Yancai’s face and took him to the washroom. They pushed his head into the toilet bowl and beat him. Mr. Wang Yancai still suffers headaches and chest pains from the physical and mental torture he endured.
(Clearwisdom.net) After the horrifying discovery of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and the immediate cremation of their bodies to destroy the evidence was exposed on March 4, 2006, the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui websites founded the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG, also called "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution") exactly one month later. The CIPFG is collecting information from people who have come forward, and is calling on people who know the truth to further expose the crimes concerning illegal organ harvesting in China. We call upon all people of conscience to lend their help in exposing the facts of this vicious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners inside secret concentration camps, forced labor camps, prisons and hospitals in Mainland China.
Investigation Lead: The Purpose of Performing Physical Examinations at the Zhejiang Prison Is Hidden
Falun Dafa practitioners who are illegally sentenced in Zhejiang province are detained at the No.2 and No.4 Prison, where they are given detailed physical examinations, especially blood tests. There is no reason given for these tests. When the organ harvesting incident was exposed, it was reported that there are designated organ removal hospitals in Ningbo City, and the prisons used a so-called physical examination to cover up the truth of the persecution.
Investigation Lead: The "Advantage" of Liver Donor Supplies at the Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military District (Dialogue)
On May 22, 2006, I managed to talk to people from the Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military District (also called the Liuhuaqiao Hospital). When I mentioned that one of my relatives needed a liver transplant, there was a woman of about 30 years old who had an accent like people from the southern part of China. She claimed that she was the person in charge of this. She appeared to be very enthusiastic.
I asked: "How long do we have to wait for a liver transplant?"
She answered: "The fastest would be one week, but no more than one month."
I asked: "How about the quality of the livers?"
She replied: "We provide very healthy livers, we guarantee their quality. In addition, the age of the donors are all over 20 years old. Because we are a military hospital, we have the advantage of having donor supplies. For instance, we can go to other places and transfer organs in."
I then asked: "Do you have donors who practice Falun Gong?"
She said: "This is hard to answer."
I asked: "How about the background information on donors?"
She said: "We are only responsible for the quality of donors. We guarantee that the organs are fresh and the donors are healthy, and we don’t worry about the social status of the donor. Which means, we don’t worry about who he or she is, or what he or she does. We are saving lives, so we guarantee the quality of our operations."
I asked: "I am afraid this is not very proper. If you don’t know the social status of donors, could it be that while you are saving one life, you are hurting another life?"
She answered: "You?"
I said: "I am calling from the U.S., and I recently heard that there were secret camps which detain Falun Gong practitioners. Their organs are removed while they are still alive, in order to make huge profits."
She said: "If you want to talk about Falun Gong, I have no time for that. We are very busy. Only because you told me that your relative needs a liver transplant, did I talk to you for a while." She then hung up the phone quickly.

Investigation Lead: The Long March Hospital Staff in Shanghai Frankly Said: "The Source of These Organs Are Unclear."
We were told by the medical staff at the Shanghai Long March Hospital (the No.2 Affiliate Hospital in the No.2 Military Medical University of the Liberation Army) that during a period before July 2006, they performed kidney transplants almost every day at this hospital. The operations often lasted until midnight.
Through further investigation, we found out that this hospital performed a minimum of one to two liver and kidney transplant operations every day. When they were asked why they have so many transplant operations and what the source of the organs was, this medical staff member said: "Because we heard that there will be an Organ Transplant Law enacted on July 1, 2006, we had to get more operations done before that day. The source of those organs is unclear and nobody knows where they come from. After July 1, this kind of operation will probably happen less frequently."

Staff members include: Zhu Youhua (male, 52 years old), Deputy President Fu Zhiren, and Deputy President Wang Liming. They began liver transplants in 1996. As of today, they have completed nearly 300 operations, including three combined liver and kidney transplant cases, two combined pancreas and kidney transplant cases, and one heart transplant.
Investigation Lead: In April 2005, the Liuhuangting Hospital in Shandong Province, Yantai City Performed One Kidney Transplant
Around May 18, 2006, I heard that a 50-year old woman in our city had a kidney transplant in April 2005 at the Liuhuangding Hospital in Shandong Province, Yantai City. We were told that the kidney was from a young man who was over 20 years old, and it cost 80,000 yuan.
She also mentioned that this hospital had completed over 100 kidney transplants. Many foreigners came to this hospital for a kidney transplant. Their kidney supply was adequate, the kidneys were very healthy and the survival rate was high. Whether or not they were from Dafa practitioners needs to be investigated by the CIPFG.
Investigation Lead: The Binzhou Hospital, Hunan Province Performed Cornea Transplants from Living People in Large Numbers
One day in late-April 2004, I took a relative to the Opthalmology Division at the No.1 People’s Hospital in Binzhou City. When the doctor checked his eyes, he said: "You need a cornea transplant." My relative asked: "How much for the operation?" The doctor said: "It will cost 7,000 yuan." He added: "You are really lucky, because we will have a cornea tomorrow." I asked: "Is it from a dead person, or someone else?" He quickly replied to me: "It’s good anyways."
The No.1 People’s Hospital in Binzhou City is the biggest hospital in the city. As of 2005, they have performed three heart transplant operations.

Investigation Lead: The Guangzhou Medical School's No.2 Affiliated Hospital Claims: "Ten Days After the Blood Work is Done, We Will Have a Kidney Supply Available for You."
A large number of organ transplant operations were performed at the Organ Transplant Department located on the seventh floor of the No.8 Building at the Medical School No.2 Affiliated Hospital in Guangzhou City. The address is: 250 Chuanggandong Road in Haizhu District of Guangzhou City.
In 2005, most of the patients were overseas Chinese. In 2006, the majority of patients were foreigners who went there to have a kidney transplant. Sometimes, five to six organ transplants were completed during one day, and at other times one to two organ transplants.
As to the source of so many organs, it was said that they were from executed prisoners. Those organs were quickly removed; therefore there was no need to give anesthesia shots, and within less than 20 minutes, it was completed. When asking for information about the kidney transplant, the reply was: "If you need a kidney transplant, ten days after the blood work is done, we will have a kidney available for you."

Investigation Lead: From the Introduction Page of the Zhengzhou Organ Transplant Center
According to the introductory page of the website of the Zhengzhou Organ Transplant Center: "Organ Transplant Operations Are Performed Everywhere in Our Province." For the time being, there are a total of 26 hospitals in Henan province performing organ transplants. According to a list, the majority of them are not Level 3 Grade A hospitals; instead, most of them are just Level 2 Hospitals. Taking the Capital City Zhengzhou as an example, currently, there are nine hospitals which perform kidney transplants. Of those, only the Zhengzhou University's Affiliated Hospital and the Provincial People’s Hospital are qualified hospitals. (Time: 11: 29:59 on April 19, 2006, Source: Henan Newspaper Net – Henan Commercial Newspaper, Reporter Lian Huiyan)
The Organ Transplant Center at the Zhengzhou University's No.1 Affiliated Hospital: "Since January 1, 2004, the No.1 Affiliated Hospital at the Zhengzhou University officially founded a special organ transplant ward. …. The cumulative total number of kidney transplants has exceeded 400 cases; among them were kidney transplants, pancreas transplants, combined pancreas and kidney transplants totaling over 20 cases. More than 60 organ transplants were performed this year, which is an increase of 30 0.000000e+000very year.
The Kidney Transplant Facilitation Center in Zhongyuan published an ad around the "May 1 Festival" in 2004. The advertisement of the Zhengzhou City Central Hospital read: "During the May 1 holiday, our center has completed 15 kidney transplants. Recently we received an ample kidney supply, and we welcome patients to consult with and contact us." "Director Cai Xianan has personally completed over 800 operations, the success rate was 100%."
The Kidney Transplant Facilitation Center in Zhongnan (Zhengzhou City No.3 Hospital – 1 Caishi Street in Guancheng District of Zhengzhou City): "For the past few years, we have performed over 100 kidney transplants every year."
The Kidney Transplant Facilitation Center in Huazhong (Zhengzhou City No.5 Hospital) "The year of 2005 was the most prosperous year for our Center. At the beginning of the year, we performed and completed three liver transplants. We have created a record and completed nine operations in one day, as well as 120 kidney transplants for the entire year. …."
The Kidney Transplant Center in Zhengzhou City (Zhengzhou City No.7 Hospital) : "In 2003, we completed 114 kidney transplants. In January 2004, we smoothly completed 28 cases of kidney transplants, which has laid a healthy foundation for striving to complete 150 kidney transplants in 2004. ... In the past few years, we have completed more than 100 kidney transplants every year, the success rate for the operations are 100%."
Address of the China Army Huazhong Kidney Transplant Center(Liberation Army 460 Hospital, No.10 Huzhu Road in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province)
China Yuxi Kidney Transplant Center (Gongyi City Chinese Medicine Hospital): "In 1999, we have completed 40 cases of kidney transplants; the success rate was 100%. In 2000, we have completed 50 cases of kidney transplants, and in 2001, we have completed 60 kidney transplants."
How come the organ supply is so abundant in recent years? It should be a very high-tech operation and time-consuming to locate organ suppliers. How could they complete 15 operations during one national holiday? Even in one day, they can complete 9 operations. It is highly suspicious that they can find so many readily available organs.
Investigation Lead: Staff Members Who Participated in Organ Transplants at Zhongnan University's Xiangya No.2 and No.3 Hospital
Staff members from the Organ Transplant Center at Zhongnan University's Xiangya No.2 Hospital participated in operations at the Surgical Organ Transplant Department (liver, pancreas, small intestines, spleen and a combined transplantation of organs in the abdomen), Urology Surgical Section (Kidney Transplant) and Heart and Lung Transplant.
In 1985, the first kidney transplant was performed in Hunan province. Now, they complete more than 100 kidney transplants every year. In February 2005, the Center performed the first pancreas and kidney transplant in Hunan Province for a diabetes patient who had kidney failure. During recent years, this center has also performed liver transplants and other operations. The source of the organ supply needs to be investigated.
In addition, in 2001, the organ transplant center completed their first heart transplant. In September 2003, the center has completed the first combined heart and lung transplant in Hunan Province. The source of its organ supply needs to be further investigated.
Staff members who participated in the organ transplant in the Xiangya No.2 Hospital are:
Yin Bangliang, who is currently the President of Zhongnan University's Xiangya No.2 Hospital, is the person in charge of the organ transplant center, the assistant to the Director of the Hunan Province Organ Transplant Professional Committee
Qi Haizhi, Assistant to the Director of Organ Transplant Center: 86-13808425562
Professor He Zhijun: 86-13873145907
Peng Longkai: Deputy Director for the Organ Transplant Center, Urology Surgical Section Director. From 1997 to 2000, he had been acting as the Chief Doctor for the Urology Surgical Section at the Xiangya No.2 Hospital. Since 2000, he has been acting as the Associate Professor of the Urology Surgical Section at the Xiangya No.2 Hospital. It was reported that he "has done in-depth research on kidney transplants."
Xu Dezhong is currently the Director of the Surgical Department at the Xiangya No. 2 Hospital in Zhongnan University. He participated in the liver transplant operations.
On April 26, 2005, at the No.3 Hospital in Xiangya, Transplant Medical Research Institute, a person with the last name of Chen performed a heart transplant operation. The source of the organ supplies needs further investigation.
(Clearwisdom.net) Nine thousand San Franciscans were able to see the 2007 Chinese New Year Spectacular at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco. All three shows were a success. The two weekend shows were sold-out, and some audience members had to purchase tickets with no seat and stood throughout the entire show. After the shows, our local practitioners shared experiences in helping out with the spectacular during our weekly group sharing.
This time, almost all of the practitioners in the San Francisco area participated in the process of the ticket sales. We acted as one body and kept righteous thoughts. We also supported each program with righteous thoughts, and thus the reactions from the audience were all very positive.
* Practitioner A: Cultivating while being a coordinator
I have always been in a supervising position, since elementary to the university level and now at the company I work at, where I am a manager. I have coordinated many projects and I was confident in my abilities as a coordinator. No sooner after I was the coordinator, did I realize why I was put in this position - many of my attachments were exposed. I also felt my managerial experiences were not enough to be a coordinator of the spectacular. This is cultivation and not everyday people's work. During the process, I saw that many of my fellow practitioners have much stronger abilities than I do, which are all given to us by the Fa.
When I had only 10 or 20 tickets in my hands, I was happy to exchange tickets with other practitioners when they requested it. However, when 1,000 tickets were in my hands, and it was the last day to sell them, I didn't maintain my xinxing when many practitioners requested to exchange tickets. I then realized that I needed to improve my xinxing and to cultivate more compassion and tolerance.
I saw another practitioner who kindly talked with a practitioner who requested ticket exchange. He considered others' needs first, and meanwhile kindly reminded them to try to not exchange the tickets at the last moment. In contrast, I was able to see my weakness.
At the beginning, I did not consider the spectacular as the project as the New York and Los Angeles ones. I thought that we only needed to do well locally. Later, I realized that this was a form of selfishness.
* Practitioner B: Cultivating during Dafa work
One day, when practitioner B was selling tickets, he felt anger. Later, he realized that doing Dafa work is a part of cultivation. During the process many attachments were exposed, which shows that we need to study the Fa more and improve our cultivation.
Practitioner B also reminded us that usually when we saw good results after we did something, we felt very happy. That is an attachment to being absorbed in the results, and it is an attachment we should not allow to continue. Teacher said,
"Do you realize that as long as you're a cultivator, in any environment or under any
circumstances, I will use any troubles or unpleasant things you come across--even if they involve work for Dafa, or no matter how good or sacred you think they are--to eliminate your attachments and expose your demon-nature so that it can be eliminated, for your improvement is what's most important." (Essentials for Further Advancement)
Whatever we do, it is a step toward our Consummation. We should not be so absorbed. There are many things that are waiting for us to do. There are so many people we should clarify the truth to. We live in ordinary people's society, and we need to consider more on how to clarify the truth to more people.
* Practitioners C & D: Watching the show is strengthening our own righteous thoughts
At last year's show, practitioner C became a bit worried when he saw the program that directly talks about Falun Gong. He thought to himself, "Are there too much Falun Gong programs? Can ordinary people accept this?" But afterward, a friend told him, "The show was great." He felt it was Teacher using other people's mouths to give him a hint. So he said, "We don't have to worry about the programs in the show. What we need is righteous thoughts."
Practitioner D felt the same. He said that last year he saw The Epoch Times being distributed at the gate, and there were quite a few Falun Gong programs in the show. Afterwards, he heard this type of comments. This year was different since he prepared himself based on last year's experience. He tried not to think of anything negative. As a result, all the comments he heard from people were positive. He realized that what was in his thoughts affected others. If you get rid of your own attachment, what you see and hear will be different.
* Practitioner E: Master taught us, "Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master."
Practitioner E said: "It's so true. Teacher will arrange everything for you as long as you want to do it." One day she suddenly remembered an old friend whom she hadn't seen for a long time. Then she met this friend when she was selling tickets and the friend bought two tickets. The friend said, "I usually don't come to this area. I don't know why I came here today and I saw you!"
* Practitioner F: Facilitate what Teacher wants, and the result will certainly be the best
Practitioner G felt that everyone tried their best for the show. Why did we do that? Because we know that's what Teacher wants. As practitioners, we must facilitate what Teacher wants and follow Teacher's instruction, and then the result will certainly be the best.
She also pointed out something that needed to be improved. For example, we need to start taking action sooner rather than later. She also reminded others we should consider the image of NTDTV at public areas such as shopping centers. We should follow the local regulations and be considerate.

Teacher said, "Dafa disciples' righteous thoughts are powerful" (from Essentials for Further Advancements II). Here I'd like to share a few stories and my experiences with sending forth righteous thoughts.
1. A few years ago, my child was in elementary school. At that time, we didn't have many truth-clarification materials and the evil was quite rampant. The media was spreading fabricated lies to smear the reputation of Teacher and the Fa day after day. As Falun Dafa practitioners, we made posters on our own and put them up on the streets. Malicious people tore them down and we put them up again. People could see our posters everywhere.
One day, my child made a poster and said he wanted to put it up himself.
That night, we went out together and found an electric power post. My child stood on a pile of sand and carefully stuck the poster on the post. After that, he raised his arms and did heshi above his head while saying, "The guardian gods of the Fa, please carefully protect the poster and do not let bad people tear it off."
I was moved by his pure thoughts. Every day when I passed the post, I'd check and that poster was always there. That poster was quite eye-catching. Two days later, a fellow practitioner stuck another poster above my child's and later another one below it. Later on, the one below was torn off, so was the one above. However, the poster that my child posted was still there. The sunlight bleached the golden yellow paper to white and the words on it were no longer visible. However, the poster was still there. It made me think about why.
2. One day, my child came back from school with news that his school planned to play to the students a DVD that smeared the Fa. He asked me what I thought we should do. I said, "Send forth righteous thoughts to make the DVD machine unable to play that DVD!" That night, we sent forth righteous thoughts together. The next morning, I reminded my child to send forth righteous thoughts again at school. At home, I also sent forth righteous thoughts towards the school's direction. When my child came back from school that day, he said, "Our school didn't play the DVD today. They said they would play it tomorrow." Therefore my child and I continued to send forth righteous thoughts. The next day, my child came back home and gladly told me, "They brought the DVD machine but it couldn't play the DVD and therefore they gave up."
3. One year, on the evil party's anniversary, our community posted Jiang's picture and some articles about the evil party on the bulletin board. I made a little banner saying, "Jiang Zemin is a criminal." I stuck the banner against the evil Jiang's face. A few days later, I passed by the news board and found Jiang's picture was taken off and that the articles about the evil party were replaced as well.
4. I met a fellow practitioner that was brutally tortured at a forced labor camp. Later he broke out without making any deals with the authorities. I asked him, "Did you ask Teacher for help and send forth righteous thoughts when you were being tortured?" He said, "No, I forgot."
I had similar experiences. In the past few years, our community and the local police substation often harassed me. In those years, only once did I remember to send forth righteous thoughts, and that was the last time a policeman came to my home. It was right before a party meeting. A policeman from the local police substation came to my home and said, "See, it doesn't look like the Party will restore Falun Dafa's reputation. I would suggest you to study Buddhism instead." I thought, "I'll just ignore him and send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind him." Just with that thought, the policemen left without bothering me further.
When I think about it now, I have come to realize that the reason I didn't send forth righteous thoughts in those years was because I had too many attachments, which suppressed my righteous thoughts. My biggest attachment was that I was afraid and tired of their harassment. Also, I wasn't clear on the Fa and thought the persecution was launched because of some ordinary reason. Things wouldn't have been like what they were if I had kept a calm heart in those years.
Here, I'd like to remind fellow practitioners, especially those that are in tribulations, please pay attention to sending forth righteous thoughts and do not forget to ask Teacher to strengthen us.
(Clearwisdom.net) For some time I was in a state of self-cultivation. I thought I was following Teacher's instruction to cultivate one's inner self. (In fact, I was not really cultivating myself). I saw that other practitioners had many conflicts among themselves, and it was difficult for them to communicate and understand each other with kindness. I thought to myself that maybe it was better to cultivate by myself. After some time, I found that my xinxing had not improved. An incident that occurred later helped me have a deeper understanding of cultivating one's inner self.
Here is what happened. I had an argument with my wife, who is also a practitioner, over a particular issue. I thought that on this issue, she was not considerate and was very selfish and that her thoughts did not meet the standard of a cultivator. I tried sharing my thoughts with her, but we couldn't agree. Our discussion turned into a fight. I didn't maintain my xinxing well and lost my temper. Afterwards, I still thought it was my wife's fault, because I was sincerely trying to help her improve her understanding. Even though my tone and attitude were not very good, how could she be so unreasonable and difficult? I thought: "Well, her cultivation is her responsibility. Let me concentrate on my own cultivation." Just like that, I turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to other practitioners. I was cultivating in a world of my own notions.
Shortly afterwards, my wife and I argued about the same issue again. I still believed that she was thinking of herself and that she was inconsiderate and selfish. I thought that her actions would have a negative impact on practitioners' image. But when I talked with her about this, I couldn't help getting into an argument with her again. Since I felt that my thoughts were on the Fa, my tone got harsher and harsher. In the end, I totally lost control of myself and was furious. I behaved with a demonic nature. Later, other practitioners reminded me that what I did was wrong. I also felt that I hadn't conducted myself well. But how come I couldn't do well after years of cultivation?
That night when I was studying the Fa, I came across this sentence:
"In genuine cultivation practice one must cultivate one's own heart and inner self. One should search inside oneself rather than outside." (Zhuan Falun)
I felt an awakening. Yes, on this matter, I stressed and held onto my own opinion. I tried to force my wife to accept my understanding. I used my own notions to judge others, and I wanted others to do things my way. I wanted to change other people but didn't attempt to change myself. When conflicts arose, I didn't look inward to find the root of my attachments. Instead, I used the excuse of "cultivating myself" to cover my attachments. Through Fa study, I realized that every conflict happens for a reason. Everything is part of our cultivation environment. Without this environment, how could the demonic nature and other bad things hidden in me be exposed? How do I get rid of my attachments? How do I improve my xinxing? I also realized that cultivating one's inner self does not mean that we cultivate in isolation so that we can escape from reality and avoid conflicts. Cultivation is not just studying some theory and practicing the exercises. It means looking inside in any environment and truly cultivating ourselves.
After I understood the Fa at this level and found my attachments, it was very easy to communicate with my wife, and the issue that had caused our conflict was resolved. Later on I realized that oftentimes my wife was considerate of others in many things. She is also strict with herself in cultivation and is very diligent.
(Clearwisdom.net) For some time now I have felt that fellow practitioners have not shown respect for Teacher and the Fa during Fa study and experience sharing as strictly as they did when we were doing personal cultivation before the persecution started. Many other practitioners feel this difference and yet we haven't taken it seriously. Is this a normal state?
Before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, when we studied the Fa together, we sat upright with dignity and reverence. We had unspoken respect for Teacher and the Fa. We didn’t just put Teacher's lectures anywhere. Instead, we always found the best place and a clean spot for them.
After the persecution started, many practitioners lost their cultivation environments just as they were entering the Fa-rectification cultivation period of saving sentient beings. Practitioners were under tremendous pressure because of the prevailing evil elements; many practitioners started to relax their personal cultivation because of tight schedules and other difficulties they encountered (of course, there are many steadfast practitioners who didn’t fall behind). As the Fa-rectification progresses rapidly, a large number of evil beings are being eradicated. Many study groups have recovered. Many practitioners have undertaken the mission of saving sentient beings and are extremely busy; however, they are not as solemn, even seeming to be very casual, during Fa study.
Here are some of the things I noticed in the study groups I have attended: The posture of some practitioners was very sloppy during Fa study and sharing. When they finished reading, practitioners didn’t pay attention to where they were putting Teacher’s lecture or the Dafa books. Some practitioners even put them near their feet. When practitioners handled Dafa materials, I didn’t see them showing respect. It seems so different from the period of personal cultivation—at that time we had the greatest respect for Teacher and the Fa.
A practitioner said, "We respect Teacher and the Fa in our hearts and we don't let it become a mere formality." Is it really just formality? Our every word and manner reflect our true nature. Every word and every deed shows our respect for Teacher and the Fa and is the true reflection of the xinxing and enlightenment quality of each practitioner. Some practitioners think that our xinxing is very high but, because Teacher has separated our cultivated parts from our uncultivated parts, we have fallen into bad habits. Isn’t this an extreme understanding of Teacher's Fa and an excuse for not wanting to change?
Some practitioners use MP3 players to listen to Teacher's lectures because they are busy. Of course, we can do this. However, some practitioners listen to lectures while they do housework. Some talk while listening to the lectures. Some even lay in bed to listen. Some practitioners used to spend a lot of time studying, but now they just carry an MP3 player. Isn’t this just for convenience? Do they really listen to the Fa? Do they feel that they have studied the Fa, and do they have an easy conscience? Is this not reflecting our lack of respect for Teacher and the Fa? How can the Fa be shown to us then? Teacher wants us to study the Fa often and study it well, even when we are busy. We can’t let it become a mere formality just because we are busy and our minds can’t reach the standard of respecting the Fa. If such a state continues, we will just stay at the same level.
Teacher once again stressed the importance of studying the Fa in "To the Australia Fa Conference." Then, how can we study the Fa well? The most important point is that we need to respect the Fa in our minds and be strict with our behavior. This is the most basic thing we need to attain as Dafa practitioners. Teacher has never asked us to respect Teacher and the Fa in any formal way. However, that doesn't mean that we do not pay any attention to it. If we assimilate to the Fa and constantly improve ourselves, we will gain a better understanding of the Fa principles. Our mindset of respecting Teacher and the Fa will be natural and will be evident in our daily words and deeds. Being deeply grateful and worshiping Teacher like ordinary people are the manifestations of low enlightenment quality and the mindset of ordinary people.
As Dafa practitioners, we all know our historical responsibilities. We need to correct every single thought and word even when dealing with small matters. Respecting Teacher and respecting the Fa is not something trivial. It is the norm of the universe at different levels. It is the manifestation of the Fa in Dafa practitioners. All beings in the universe, including the old forces, admire Teacher deeply. All beings in the heavens kneel down to listen to Teacher's Fa. Is that a mere formality? Absolutely not! The Fa at each level has its requirements and its form. Although Dafa practitioners are cultivating without seeing or hearing supernormal phenomena, Teacher has opened the most convenient door for us. When we continue to raise our realms in the Fa principles, we will show our respect for Teacher and the Fa.
Respecting Teacher and respecting the Fa are the minimum criteria for the behavior of a Dafa practitioner. The Fa of the universe embodies it. Numerous high level beings in the universe are watching our every thought and every action. We must not use excuses to conceal our thoughts and actions of not respecting Teacher and the Fa. Respect is a part of Dafa cultivation.
The above is just my limited understanding at my level. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.

I was with several practitioners at an experience-sharing meeting when the time came to send forth righteous thoughts. While everyone was sending forth righteous thoughts, I opened my eyes and saw some practitioners' upright palms lean over and then drop. While holding up lotus palms, some practitioners' palms were almost closed. A few days later, we had another experience-sharing. While we were sending righteous thoughts, three out of five practitioners were half asleep. My heart felt very heavy. It is somewhat forgivable if occasionally you are not able to stay fully alert while sending righteous thoughts. But if it happens often then it is a very serious matter. Therefore, I would like to say something about this situation.
Master mentioned in "Righteous Thoughts" on October 13, 2002:
"At present, there are still some students who haven't really grasped the essentials of sending righteous thoughts. Some students are in the exact same state as when they do the meditation"even when they're just doing the meditation, some students are in a half-asleep, are in a state in which their minds aren't alert enough, or are in a state in which they're severely interfered with by stray thoughts"so they can't achieve a very good effect." "To reduce the losses, and to save sentient beings, put your Dafa disciples' powerful righteous thoughts to full use! Show your Mighty Virtue!"
If our palms are dropping and we are half asleep while sending righteous thoughts, we lose the true meaning of sending righteous thoughts. Moreover, what was supposed to be disintegrated cannot be disintegrated and whoever could have been saved would not be saved. We would then just be wasting our time. Whenever our speech and behavior is not righteous, the evil will come up and interfere with our work by all means; it will persecute us so as to make us lazy and go astray. We have to keep strong and sufficient righteous thoughts so that we can totally disintegrate all evil and save our fellow practitioners from persecution.
The upright palm and the lotus palm hand positions used when sending righteous thoughts are the mechanisms installed by Master. Strengthened by Master, sending righteous thoughts carries such power that it can split open a mountain. We should take it very seriously. If we cultivate ourselves well and keep our thoughts righteous, we can help to reduce the inhuman tortures suffered by our fellow practitioners imprisoned in jails.
We should focus our attention and our effort when sending forth powerful righteous thoughts, eradicate all evil that damages Dafa, and disintegrate the dark minions, rotten demons, and all elements of the evil Communist specter in other dimensions. We should also focus our attention on sending forth righteous thoughts to completely disintegrate all evil in every jail and concentration camp so that our imprisoned fellow practitioners can rejoin the great wave of Fa-rectification. As long as evil is still not being eradicated completely, we should not overlook the importance of sending righteous thoughts and should send forth righteous thoughts with our minds focused and heads clear.
(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Ying was from Tongcheng City, Anhui Province. His father, in his early adulthood, dreamed of a deity dressed in gold armor. The deity claimed to be Wang Dun of the Jin Dynasty (265 – 420 AD), and he was hoping to be born into the Zhang family. Zhang Ying's father did not agree because of the fact that Wang Dun was a minister that brought about disorder. The deity explained, "It wasn't so. When the Jin Dynasty was about to decline, I was born to be a minister of disobedience in accordance with the change of fortune. Now it's an era of clarity and brightness, and I'm to arrive and become a minister of virtue." Zhang Ying's father woke up in shock. Soon afterwards, he had a son. But the son died in just a few years.
A couple of years later, Zhang Ying's father again dreamed of Wang Dun who was to be born into his family. He scolded Wang, "You're indeed a minister of dishonesty. You want to fool me again. I won't have you." Wang Dun answered, "I looked around each of the major families south of the Yangtze River. No single family matches yours in terms of blissfulness and virtue. I'm not going to leave this time."
Soon, a son was born into the Zhang family. It was Zhang Ying himself, and he was also called Dunfu (in Chinese it means the "return of Dun"). In the sixth year of the Emperor Kangxi (reigned from 1662 – 1722 AD) of the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911 AD), Zhang Ying ranked as a Jinshi (or advanced scholar) in the Palace Examination. He became the Grand Scholar of the Wenhua Palace and was in charge of royal rituals at the same time. He was a famous minister and renowned writer of that era. Zhang Ying's son, Zhang Tingyu, served three emperors of the Qing dynasty as a key minister.
Why did Wang Dun claim that the blissfulness and virtue of the Zhang's family was not matched by any other family? Those who knew of it passed down the story that in the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644 AD) Zhang's family had very little finances. The elderly Zhang had two sons and both studied traditional teachings and cultivated virtue. One day when he was working in the field, he found out that a huge amount of silver was buried in the land he was farming, and it was estimated to be over 2,000,000 ounces. The elderly Zhang buried the silver the same way it was hidden and planned to use it for charity. He did not tell his two sons until the moment he was about to die. He ordered his two sons to wait until a year of natural disaster to dig out the silver to help refugees. A few years after the elderly Zhang passed away, a disaster hit. The two sons followed their father's instruction and dug out the silver, which turned out to truly be over 2,000,000 ounces. They donated the entire treasure to help people who suffered from the disaster. Countless people survived as a result of the Zhang family's generosity. The county commissioner was going to file a report afterwards to request the imperial court to reward the Zhang family. The two sons firmly declined.
By the time the Qing Dynasty was established, Zhang's family became prosperous. Their descendants Zhang Ying and Zhang Tingyu both took the position of Grand Scholar, and so did their brothers and cousins. People have all attributed the accumulation of kindness and virtue to their ancestors.
(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."
Here are some examples of the Solemn Declarations:

(Clearwisdom.net) More and more people in China are awakening to the truth and realizing that they were deceived by Jiang and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) into participating in the persecution of Falun Gong, either directly as government officials, police, labor camp guards, etc., or indirectly as practitioners' family members, who in many cases may have cursed Dafa, burned Dafa books, or interfered in various other ways to prevent practitioners from following their beliefs. As a result of this awakening, the Minghui/ Clearwisdom website is receiving increasing numbers of heartfelt messages from non-practitioners who wish to publicly express remorse for their wrongdoing and announce their intention to rectify their words and deeds in the future. The editors will periodically choose representative messages of this type and publish them as articles entitled, "Solemn Statements from Non-Practitioners."
