Mr. Chu Guilin, a practitioner from Shandong province, died on November 17, 2006 due to torture at Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Chu was injected with unknown drugs and became paralyzed. Mr. Chu's family members demanded an explanation from the guards "How can a healthy person become handicapped overnight?" The guards did not accept responsibility. They claimed that the labor camp spent a lot of money on medical treatment for Mr. Chu.

Mr. Chu Guilin, 56, was from Xiling Village, Songzhuang Township, Changyi City, Weifang, Shandong Province. When he was clarifying the truth on October 11, 2005, he was reported to and arrested by Songzhuang Township police. His home was ransacked, and his Falun Dafa books and materials were confiscated.

Mr. Chu refused to accept orders from the police at the police station. He continued to clarify the truth about Falun Gong, and the police shocked him with electric rods until they ran out of power. Later, Mr. Chu was taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Chu was detained at Team 8 in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, where he became paralyzed for about a year.

On November 11, 2006, Mr. Chu's family members were notified to come and take him home. Mr. Chu seemed to be in good spirits that day, perhaps because of drugs that he was injected with. He passed away in the evening of the sixth day.

The day after Mr. Chu's death, several policemen came to check out the situation. One of them said, "He went to heaven", and the rest departed without a word.

Those in charge of Team 8 of the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp often force practitioners to work overtime. They make products for two companies. They produce coils for Zibo City Kaijia Magnetism Material Limited and cement bags for Jinan City Changqinggushan Township Plastic Company (Shanshui Company). Luo Guangrong, the political instructor, often shouted at meetings: "Whatever I ask you do, you must do it without complaint. You have to do it even if I'm in the wrong." He often locked practitioners to the iron window bars in the restroom and deprived them of sleep. Some practitioners were forced to work days and evenings, and then Luo forced them sit facing the wall past midnight.
