On July 3rd, 2006, Swedish Daily Sydsvenska Dagbladet published an article titled "We Can Not Turn a Blind Eye to the Crime of Organ Harvesting", written by Mr. Mats Karlsson, Vice President of the Association Supporting China Human Rights. The following is an excerpt from the English translation of the text:

A system of atrocity, despotism, and bigotry was how Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott, Vice-President of the European Parliament, described the Chinese communist regime after he visited Beijing last May. After meeting with diplomats, representatives of NGOs and some victims who had suffered from the Chinese Communist regime's relentless persecution, Mr. McMillan-Scott concluded: "Though China's economic development is very fast, its democracy, freedom and human rights have never improved".

To westerners like us, it's might be hard for us to understand China's real situation, as we have witnessed China's development; the Chinese Communist Party's leaders had already taken off their military uniforms, and instead they wear suits; major cities are modernized; China has opened its market to the west, and needless to say its economic development. On the surface, there seems to be no difference between China and any western country. However, under this magnificent appearance, what is its true situation?

Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott told the Epoch Times, "The condition of prisoners in China is increasingly well known but it is only in recent months that a particular mistreatment of Falun Gong practitioners has come to light, namely the selection of prisoners for 'reverse-match' organ and tissue transplants, leading to their deaths. This is genocide, as defined in Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. During his stay in Beijing, he met two Falun Gong practitioners who told him what they know about the atrocities of the on-going human organ-harvesting. One of them once saw the corpse of a Falun Gong practitioner whose internal organs had been harvested. After the meeting, these two Falun Gong practitioners were arrested immediately. One of them is under house arrest, and the other is still missing.

Initiated by Mr. Lindblad, member of the Swedish Parliament, ten members of European Parliament submitted a motion with the European commission to hold a hearing in regard to "Stealing Organs in China". The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Mr. Manfred Nowak, has begun an investigation into the organ harvesting from living human bodies as well.

The concentration camps were exposed and approved to be true in China by three different independent channels. The witnesses said the captive Falun Gong adherents have been treated as the organ sources of transplantation. Their corpses would be cremated so as to destroy the evidence. One of the witnesses, a veteran military doctor, expressed such trade is common in the military hospitals.

The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) and Sky News have conducted investigations, and their results have proven that patients are able to get a matching livers and kidneys within one to two weeks after interviewing many Chinese hospitals.

Facing the brutal facts, what should Swedish do? Does it make sense by taking no action until we wait and see more deaths happen? On realizing the Chinese Communist regime's menace, violence, brainwashing and bloody killing conducted on her own people under the horrible atrocity, are we still laying particular stress on amicable conversation? Mr. Edward McMillan Scott thought the communication between European Unions and China has been ineffective for the past ten years.

The Swedish Prime Minister made a speech at the international conference of Genocide held in Stockhom. Supposing the genocide is still ongoing in China, should Sweden turn a deaf ear to it?

We should never turn a blind eye to genocide and organ-harvesting.
