(Clearwisdom.net) Since the exposure of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhumane and criminal practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and then cremating their bodies, the Falun Dafa Association and Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) founded "The Coalition To Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" on April 4, 2006. This coalition calls for people from all walks of life and any organizations to form a united investigation group to gather potential leads for investigating illegal organ harvesting. The following are some of the leads obtained recently. We hope all kind-hearted people who have specific knowledge about this matter will come forward and expose the inside story of labor camps, prisons, and hospitals in China that are colluding to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Together we are striving to end the persecution.

Investigation Lead: Report on Organ Transplant Situation in Some Hospitals in Hubei Province

An intern who participated in some organ transplant operations talked to me about some inside news he learned. Below is what I learned from him:

Tongji Hospital in Wuhan, Hubei Provincial People’s Hospital and Wuhan Land Army General Hospital are the three major hospitals in Hubei Province that do organ transplant surgeries (especially kidney transplants). Every two to three days there is an organ transplant done at one of the three hospitals, with each hospital engaging in more than 100 organ transplant operations a year. There is another army hospital that also does organ transplantation, but on a much smaller scale, with only around 20 operations done each year.

All information about the organ donors is absolutely secret and the above-mentioned three major hospitals share organ sources. They claim to the outside world that most organs used in the transplant are donated by family members of deceased people and they have all the necessary paperwork for the organ transplant.

Since the exposure of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhumane and criminal practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and then cremating their bodies, the hospital authorities held meetings for doctors participating in organ transplantation, telling them Falun Gong is again "making trouble" overseas and asking these doctors to keep their mouths shut and not to disclose any related information. These doctors are also instructed not to answer phone calls from overseas Falun Gong practitioners.

Investigation Lead: Zhang Shunlong’s Body Dissected while still Warm

Zhang Shunlong was a farmer in Team Six, Xincheng, Yanping Village, Liaoheyuan Town, Dongliao County, Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province. Because his younger brother Zhang Shunhong, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested and jailed, on May 26, 2006, he and several other family members went to the Dongji Police Station to ask for his brother’s release. However, they were arrested. That day Zhang Shunlong was brutally beaten by the police. Some witness saw Zhang Shunlong fall from the third floor and his whole face was covered by blood.

Zhang Shunlong’s wife Lv Fengling wasn’t able to say anything to him as he was gasping for breath. He touched his head with great pain before he lost consciousness. The police had his body dissected while it was still warm. On May 28, without the family’s consent, the police cremated his body. They also threatened his wife not to say anything about his death to anybody, otherwise the whole family would be sent to labor camp.

Investigation Lead: More Than 100 Kidney Transplants Done in Two Months at a Hospital in Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province

A hospital affiliated with Xi’an Jiaotong University performed more than 100 kidney transplants from May to July last year.

Investigation Lead: With Only Five Voluntary Donors, Shaanxi Province Able to Perform 300 Cornea Transplants

According to a website news report on July 4, 2006, in Shaanxi Province, there were only five people who voluntarily donated their cornea and they were:

• A teacher from Xi’an No. 26 Middle School
• A senior professor from Xi’an Science and Technology University
• A worker from the Shangluo area
• A student (leukemia patient) from Xi’an
• A person named Zhang Luping from Xi’an

However, 300 cornea transplants were performed last year in Shaanxi Province. Where did those hospitals find so many cornea donors when there were only five volunteer donors?
