Ms. Tan Xiuxia is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Dawukou district, Shizuishan City. She started practicing Falun Dafa in May 1998. After 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal and validate the Fa, and for that, she was twice sentenced to forced labor camps, for one year and for three years respectively. In the labor camp, she went on hunger strike and was violently force-fed by guards many times. She was kept in an isolated cell for long periods of time, and the guards used electric batons to shock and beat her. She was hung between bunk beds for more than twenty days to prevent her from sleeping, and she was subjected to brainwashing sessions. In addition, prison guards instructed prisoners who are drug addicts to beat and torture her. During May and June 2005, she was followed and arrested by the police. She was recently sentenced to four years in prison and is being held at Ningxia Women's Prison at this time.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Geng Dong worked at a foreign investment business in Tianjin. After July 20, 1999, he became homeless. In 2000, he was followed and arrested by police from Tianjin, and was arrested at Yunnan Province and taken back to Tianjin. He was then sent to the Tianjin Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp for two years. He was released in 2003, six months longer than his original sentence.

After he was released, Geng Dong found a job in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. On January 22, 2004, Geng Dong was arrested again at Zhuhai. He was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp, because he took pictures of a brainwashing session run by the local authorities. He was kept at Group No. 3, Station No. 3, Guangdong Sanshui Farm.

On January 22, 2005, Geng Dong's illegal sentence was up. However, Sanshui Farm refused to release him. They said Geng Dong had a bad attitude, so they extended his term by three more months. Geng Dong decided to go on hunger strike on January 22 to protest his persecution.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Feng Youzhen, 59, is from Tianhe Township, Huangbe County, Wuhan City. On March 1, 2005, a group of people from the Huangbe County 610 Office, broke into and ransacked her home, and arrested her. They took away her truth clarifying materials and a copy of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," and took her to Dongxi Lake Prison, where she was kept there for fifteen days. She was threatened with imprisonment and pressed about the source of her copy of the Nine Commentaries. The guards tried to force her to give up her beliefs, but Feng Youzhen remained steadfast, so she was transferred to the Wuchang Yujiatou Brainwashing Center.

Beginning on March 17, 2005, Feng Youzhen went on a hunger strike, and she is now very weak. Her husband, son, daughter-in-law and sisters have requested to visit her many times, however the facility rejected the requests.

Ms. Han Hongying, who is about 32 years old, obtained a Master's degree from the philosophy department at Wuhan University, and she is currently a teacher in the humanities department at Wuhan Industrial College. She went to Beijing to appeal because of the persecution of Falun Gong around 2000, and her employer took her back. Subsequently a long-term watch was kept on her residence. She was sent to a mental hospital for persecution multiple times. Her current condition is unknown.

Falun Dafa practitioner Li Ping from Xingang, Tanggu district was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp, and she is now detained at Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, Dagang District, Tianjin. On the evening of January 16, 2006, her family received a memo regarding her sentence.

Mr. Liu Zhenhua is 59 years old, and he lives in the Tianshuiyuan Zone, Chaoyang district, Beijing. Early in the evening of January 17, 2006, officers from the Xicheng Police Station took him away, and he has not yet returned.

Ms. Tan Yongqiu turned 71 this year. She is from Chongqing City of Sichuan Province. She was arrested and sent to the Dianjiang County Detention Center on April 29, 2002. She suffered many forms of torture, and as a result her back was broken, and she is in great pain. She was sentenced to five years in prison, but Yongchuan Women's Prison refused to admit her because of her disabilities, Dianjiang County Detention Center had no choice but to take her back. They instructed her family to bail her out for medical treatment. At this time, Tan Yongqiu suffers from her painful disabilities, and cannot take care of herself at all. Dianjiang County Detention Center, the community office where she lives, and local police officers frequently go to her home to harass her.

On January 20, 2006, Dazhou City Tongchuan District 610 Office, the Police Department and State Security Team officers lead by Wang Jun, broke into and ransacked Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Guangqun's home. All of his Dafa books and related materials were confiscated.

At around 6:00 p.m. on December 22, 2005, Jilin Province Yongji County Xiyang Town police officers Liang Shouqian, Yuan Yuepeng, Li Jinxue, and others broke into Dagangzi Tree Farm employee Kanxi's home. At the time, Kanxi's mother (who is around seventy years old) was watching Teacher's lectures on videotape, which they confiscated. They also threatened her to try to prevent her from practicing Falun Gong. The elderly woman was terrified, her past illness recurred and she is afraid to continue practicing Falun Gong.

Prior to practicing Falun Dafa, she had severe heart disease. Her health was once in dire danger, but she was completely cured after practicing Falun Dafa.

In the spring of 2005, Falun Dafa practitioners Yu Yongquan and Wang Jiangning were working in Shenyang after being released from Liaoyang Huazi Prison. In November 2005, Yu Yongquan was arrested at a private school in Shenyang. Wang Jiangning was arrested in Panjin City. It is said that after being released from prison, secret agents followed these two individuals for a long time. They are now held at the Shenyang Shenhe Detention Center.

On January 19, 2006, the Dazhou City Tongchuan District Police Department cooperated with the Da District Police Department, Tongchuan District Beiwai Police Station and Beiwaigaojiaba, and they ransacked recently released Falun Dafa practitioner Gao Dong's home (he had been sentenced five years in prison in 2001). On January 20, 2006, they ransacked another Falun Dafa practitioner Song Chenyi's home and arrested him. He is being kept at the Tongchuan District Detention Center. Song Chenyi's wife is bed ridden and is critically ill. His children are very young and are unable to care for their mother. The family is in a desperate situation.

Ms. Deng Guixian is around fifty years old and a retiree from the Guizhou Province Shuicheng 125 Cement Factory. On December 10, 2005, Shuicheng City State Security policemen arrested her and ransacked her home. Her whereabouts are unknown.

It has been reported that some of the practitioners held at the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp are currently on a hunger strike. Among them, Liu Yulan, a female practitioner from Tangshan, has been on hunger strike for about five days already, and she is very weak. Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp Group Number Five was ordered to force-feed her and give her intravenous fluid.

At last count, which was at the end of October 2005, the Shandong Province Wang Village Women Forced Labor Camp has over 300 Falun Gong practitioners locked up.

At 10:30 a.m. on January 19, 2006, without any evidence, ten or so officers from the Guangzhou City Haizhu District Guangchuan Neighborhood Administration Office and police station arrested 68-year-old Guangzhou Falun Dafa practitioner Shen Yali. She was later detained at Nanzhou Detention Center. It has been three days, and she has still not been released.

Falun Dafa practitioners Li Jianping, Li Chunlian and Mei Qiulian from Hubei Province Xiangfan City Cotton Textile Factory were arrested while they were giving out truth clarifying materials in Niushou Town. They are currently being held at the Xiangfan City Fancheng Detention Center.

Guards at the Shijiazhuang City Beijiao Prison tortured Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Xiaojie so severely that he became paralyzed. He was released for medical treatment in late December 2005. His condition is very bad, as a segment of his spine was injured, causing paralysis and fluid accumulation in his chest. He has difficulty breathing and speaking. He is nothing but skin and bones and is very weak.

According to what the doctors have said, even if Yang Xiaojie's recovers, he will be paralyzed for the rest of his life. His parents are in extreme agony.

Falun Dafa practitioner Xu Xinmu from Shijiazhuang City is incarcerated at Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. Due to the torture he has suffered, he recently developed high blood pressure and his heart has been bothering him, as well. The forced labor camp would not allow him to be released for medical treatment. His family and relatives have to sign their names on a form that slanders Dafa when they come, or their visits are refused.

Officers from the Hunan Police Station arrested Anshan City Galen International Education Hunan Branch teacher Song Sanling at work on November 23, 2005, because she practices Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and her computer, money and other valuables were confiscated. Song Sanling is currently being held at the Yuemingshan Detention Center.
