Ms. Zhang Yuzhen, 38, went to Beijing Tiananmen Square to validate Falun Dafa in 2000. She was arrested by the police and later sentenced to six years imprisonment. She has been held at the Jiangxi Women's Jail and has been brutally tortured by the guards with different methods such as being placed in solitary confinement, being locked up in a small cell, being handcuffed with her feet shackled, and being beaten while hung up in handcuffs. Now she is disabled due to the long-term tortures and can't take care of herself. The jail still doesn't allow her family members to visit her. However, the guards have continued torturing her.

Liu Tao, police officer from the Hailaer Railway Police Department, is in his 30s. Recently when he persecuted six practitioners from Hulunbeier, Neimenggu Province, he even threatened to put Ms. Lu Ling, who was only 24 years-old and unmarried, into an all-male inmate ward.

On the evening of January 6, 2006, State Security Agents intruded into Ms. Liu Hong's home located at Weiyuan, Qingta Community, Fengtai District, and took her belongings. They found some Falun Gong truth-clarification flyers. At the same time, Ms. Liu came home from her company, so the agents who also took Ms. Liu's brother and her father with them, arrested her as well. The next day, the agents released her brother and her father. However Ms. Liu is still being held at the Fengtai Police Department.

Practitioner Mr. Lin Shusen has been on a hunger strike protesting the persecution for many days. The police have taken him to a hospital due to his poor health. The authorities will pass sentence on him on January 11, 2006, at the Beijing Xicheng District Court.

What the authorities call the "Law and Education Center" to the public is in fact, the Linyi City Brainwashing Center. From late 2001 to present, the brainwashing center has held 300 practitioners who have been persecuted both mentally and physically.

The police arrested nineteen practitioners from Chunan County while they were holding a Dafa experience sharing conference on November 26, 2005. Amongst the 19 practitioners, Ms. Sun Maoqin, Mr. Zhao Xiaowei and four other practitioners were held at the Linyi City Brainwashing Center. Later, another seven practitioners from Chunan County were also taken to the brainwashing center.

Mr. Zhao Xiaowei and Ms. Sun Maoqin went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and were force-fed. Mr. Zhao fainted from the force-feeding and his life was in danger.

According to the latest information, Ms. Sun Maoqin has been taken to the Zibo Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.

On September 29 2005, officers from the Mudanjiang Jingfu Police department arrested practitioners Ms. Liu Chenhong and Ms. Zhang Haiyan, both from Mudanjiang City, while they were clarifying the truth in Dafuyuan. Now they are being held at the Xinglong Detention Center.

The police from Dabao Local Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Ma Yuxin and Ms. Tong Shufang, both from Fengcheng City, while they were clarifying the truth in Dabao. At present, Ms. Ma Yuxin is imprisoned in the Kuandian County Detention Center and Ms. Tong Shufang is imprisoned at the Fengcheng Detention Center.

On the morning of January 3, 2006, while practitioner Mr. Liang Runcheng was clarifying the truth in Kuandian County, four officers from the Kuandian County Police Station beat him with electric batons and then took him to the Kuandian Police Station where police again beat him with electric-batons, cuffed his hands, shackled his feet and forced him to sit on the ground.

Two months ago when practitioner Mr. Ge Xiaonan from Fengcheng Baoshan County was clarifying the truth during his dinner at the Kuandian Restaurant, he was reported to the authorities by the restaurant owner. Officers from the Kuandian County Police Station arrested him. He has been sentenced to two years of "reeducation through forced labor" in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Mr. Lin Xiaoquan from Qingshicunliuzu, Xinnong County, Xindu District was arrested in July 2005 and released in late July. He was arrested again in August and is still being held at the Xindu District Detention Center.

An official from Fushun City Police Station said that the first department from Fushun City Police Station had totally finished processing over fifty Falun Gong cases in 2005. Over 360 practitioners had been sentenced to forced labor and 108 practitioners were detained.

On December 16, 2005, when Practitioners Ms. Qu Zhaoli and Ms. Sun Xiuli, both from Mouping District, Yantai City, handed out truth materials during a big fair, they were arrested by the police and later sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor. They are now imprisoned in the Mouping Detention Center.

Ms. Huang Xiufeng, a practitioner in her 50s, is a retired worker from the Nanyang City Printing Factory. On December 24, 2005, the police went to her home, arrested her and searched the home.

Zhong Shaoyan, the Shuikou Town Secretary in Gulin County, Luzhou City, is a member of the Gulin County 610 Office. In late August 2005, he incited Wang Youyuan, who worked for the Shuikou Town Government and was also an older brother of Mr. Wang Xiaoping, to take him to the Luzhou City Mental Hospital. Although he repeatedly told the hospital's doctors that he didn't have any mental problems, the hospital's doctors still tied him up and injected various drugs into him.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Wei from Baotou City began practicing Falun Dafa in 2003. On August 9, 2005, authorities ruined a local Dafa materials site. Mr. Wang's wife, practitioner Mrs. Guo Meijie, was arrested. The police also looked for him, so he had to leave his home to avoid being persecuted. On November 15, 2005, when Mr. Wang went to Diaqi District Government in Erduosi City to ask his about his wife, he was arrested. After holding him for over a month in the Daqi Detention Center, the Daqi Police took him to the Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp where he was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Practitioner Ms. Hu Keling was a teacher at Liaxi City Middle School. On the morning of December 30, 2005, officers from Chengguan Police Station arrested her while she was teaching a class, for clarifying the truth to her students. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

On January 4, 2006, Chen Yamin, the head of the state security department from Daan City Police Station, led five policemen and burst into practitioner Ms. Geng Jifeng's home where she was arrested without cause. At present, she is being held at the Daan Detention Center.

Gansu Province has put all the state's practitioners that were arrested early in the persecution together in a new prison the state built specially for Dafa practitioners who firmly believe in Dafa. The jail looks like a factory. Four practitioners share one room. The officials from the jail don't physically torture the practitioners, neither do they curse them, however, they don't allow practitioners to sleep. They take turns using a method called "having a conversation or debate" to persecute the practitioners, which makes them suffer greatly.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Yazhen, who is in her fifties, lived at the staff dormitory of the New China Sugar Manufactory in Jilin City Economic Development District. In May 2005, the police from the Jiuzhan Police Department in Jilin City Economic Development District arrested Ms. Zhang. The police searched her home and found some Dafa truth materials. In November 2005, the Changyi District Court in Jilin City sentenced her to eight years in prison. Later, the Jilin City Middle People's Court passed another sentence of eleven years imprisonment on her. Ms. Zhang has already appealed her case to higher authorities.

In late November 2005, the police searched Ms. Wang's home and she was forcibly brought to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City, which is about 15 kilometers away.

The officials from the brainwashing center constantly curse Falun Dafa and practitioners, don't allow them to take breaks, and also mentally torture them. Police officer Wu Wei took liberties with female practitioners, and every day policeman Liu Qing persecuted practitioners by using methods such as force-feedings and beatings. He also threatened practitioners so they would not tell the public what happened in the brainwashing center.

Ms. Wang went on a hunger strike. On the evening of the fifth day, she became unconscious and her blood pressure could not even be measured. The police took her to the Fushun City No. 3 Hospital where the doctors tried to save her life for two days. After she woke up, officer Wu Wei still persecuted her by asking the doctors to force feed her. Ms. Wang's physical condition rapidly declined. When she was very weak, the police forced her to sign her name on a guarantee statement. Sometime later, she was released.

On November 7, 2005, with active cooperation from the leaders of the Watercourse administrative office from Siping City Water Conservancy Bureau, the Tiexi District 610 Office forcibly took practitioner Ms. Bao to the Changchun City Brainwashing Center.
