The Latest Persecution Crimes Committed by the Tangshan City Police


(Clearwisdom.net) The police in Tangshan City, Hebei Province brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Below is the latest news from Tangshan City.

On January 17, 2006, Zhao Yongguo, an employee of the Youth Team, Qianjiaying Mine, Fengnan District of Tangshan City, was illegally arrested by police officers from the Xinqian Police Station, Qianjiaying Mine, while he was at work. The next day, officers from the same police station searched his home and confiscated cash in the amount of 2,000 yuan. At around 5:00 p.m., Mr. Zhao's wife and another practitioner, Cao Shunting, went to the police station to ask for the release of Mr. Zhao. However, Cao Junjie, the director of the police station, denied Mr. Zhao's wife's request and even instigated several people to beat her, saying, "Beat her, I will take care of the consequences!" As a result, Mr. Zhao's wife was beaten until her mouth bled and her teeth were loosened. Finally, she was thrown out of the door. Later on, they handcuffed Cao Shunting and covered his mouth with adhesive tape. They placed ice in his shirt and pants and shocked him using two electric batons. Cao Shunting was finally released from the handcuffs when the police officials had supper. Mr. Zhao Yongguo was released on January 20, but since January 21, 2006, Cao Shunting's whereabouts are not known.

At about 9:00 p.m. on January 18, 2006, Chief Wang and Meng Qinghai from the Guye District Police Department, Tangshan City, along with police officials Li Guodong and Wang Fan from Xigongfang Police Station, Guye District, dispatched four police vehicles and about 20 policemen and searched the homes of five families of Falun Gong practitioners. Their excuse was "maintaining public security" and compiling reports. They confiscated five Falun Gong books and a dozen pictures of Teacher and other Dafa materials, and then forcibly took away seven Falun Gong practitioners to Xigongfang Police Station for separate interrogations. The practitioners were released at 12:00 a.m.
