Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest against the Singapore Court’s Unfair Verdict

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 7, 2006, representatives from the Russian Falun Dafa Association came to the Singapore Embassy in Russia to hand in a protest letter regarding the Singapore court’s poor verdict against two Falun Gong practitioners. They strongly condemned the Singapore authority’s shameful conduct, whereby the Singapore court sentenced two innocent Falun Gong practitioners to jail for peacefully protesting against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The letter calls for an immediate release of the illegally imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners and urges the Singapore authorities to stop aiding and abetting the tyranny of the CCP in their own country. We know their actions were done to gain favor with and flatter the CCP. The letter was also sent to the Singapore Embassy by email in advance.

Because the Ambassador was not available, an attaché in the Embassy received the representatives of Falun Gong practitioners. The attaché accepted the protest letter and other truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong, and listened to Falun Gong practitioners’ opinions, especially the truth about the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong and their defamations of Falun Gong. The attaché expressed that he will certainly pass the letter to the related department of the Singapore government, and said he would give an official response to the Russian Falun Dafa Association.

The Russian Falun Gong practitioners expressed that they will continuously pay attention to this incident: if the Singapore government does not correct this wrong verdict, they will continue to come to the Embassy and see the ambassador to protest.
