By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

Greetings, Dear Master! Greetings, Dear Fellow practitioners!

My husband and I started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. During our cultivation, Whether we cultivated during the peaceful times or during the persecution, we constantly felt Master to be with us at all times. We believe in Master and the Fa, and work hard to do well the three things that Master has required of us. These past few years we lived in a busy downtown area while doing business in a rented home. We validate the Fa in an open and dignified manner.

One day in late September of 2005, agents from a local police station arrived to arrest gamblers on the third floor of the building where our rented home is also located. While one policeman tried to find the stairway to get up there, he accidentally walked into my room, which had no door. When he saw Master's photo he pretended to be serious, saying, "You still hang this up?" I was working in the shop. Before I was able to stop him, he had quickly removed the photo from the wall. My husband and I quickly laid down our work and tried to catch up to him. However, he quickly vanished in the crowd. My husband and I were determined to get the photo back.

With righteous minds, we went immediately to the police department and the local police station to expose the evildoers and clarify the truth. In the end, they eventually returned the photo to us, quite politely. We re-hung the photo.

Before long, the local police came again to try to arrest those gamblers. This time the police station head, deputy head and police chief arrived with many officers. While they tried to find the stairway, they came into my room and looked around. Master's photo and the "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" Falun emblem were hanging in our room. They walked in and out, as if they had not seen them. Having overcome the last tribulation, we were calm this time. The police station head and the police chief (who had persecuted me before) were quite polite. This had a lot to do with our going to the police station to clarify the truth. They truly know the truth, so they did not make trouble for us this time.

Soon it was the Chinese New Year. We made the shop tidy. My husband and I decided to hang the "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" Falun emblem in the shop instead of in our room to let more people with predestined relationships know of the existence of the Fa. We thus hung the emblem publicly in the shop. When people walk on the street, they can see the emblem from outside, which has given us many opportunities to clarify the truth. There are indeed a lot of people who have seen the emblem and thus know the truth. Among them are policemen and their family members, township officials, people from the business communities, from the neighborhood committees, from the Department of Hygiene and Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, etc. Once they came into my shop, I would clarify the truth to them. Most of them accepted what I told them. Thus they know the truth and can have a chance for salvation. The photo has hung like this for several months, and we have not run into any problems.

At about 9:00 a.m. on July 4, 2006, when we were busy in our shop, my hometown village CCP branch secretary and a person unknown to me came to the front of our shop. I asked them to come in and rest a while. They accepted my invitation. Once they entered the door, I pointed to the Falun emblem and started to clarify the truth to them. The stranger asked me, "Do you still practice Falun Gong?" I said, "Yes. You see how good my health is. Our business is highly labor-intensive. If I did not practice Falun Gong, I could not guarantee to remain healthy."

I asked the village secretary about the stranger and was told he was a town official. I asked what the person was in charge of. The village secretary said that he was in charge of the Political and Judicial Committee. I pointed to the emblem and said to that person, "If you follow the three words 'Truth-Compassion-Forbearance,' no matter where you go, people will say you are a good official." He kept nodding, "These words are good. These words are good. We had reported to the upper government that there were no longer people practicing Falun Gong in the town."

I said, "By remembering that 'Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good, and Falun Dafa is good,' you will know to treat Falun Gong kindly." However, he said, "You should not go to appeal. Do not hand out flyers, and do not contact other practitioners." My husband came by and said, "All the people on this street know we practice Falun Gong. We openly tell people and let them remember 'Falun Gong is good, and Falun Dafa is good.' This is good for them. No matter how much money a person has and how high his position is, his life is even more precious than these things."

After listening to my husband's words, the Political and Judicial Committee secretary became speechless. Then his cell phone rang and he answered it. In less than three minutes the deputy head of the town police station came. After he entered the door, I said to him while pointing to the Falun emblem, "My family members are practicing this one." The appearance of the policeman seemed to make people scared, saying, "This is not allowed. It is against the law." I told him assertively, "The Chinese Constitution clearly says that the citizens have the right to freedom of belief. Furthermore, the constitution has not mentioned that behaving according to Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is forbidden." He was unable to refute me and just kept repeating, "This is not allowed. The government does not allow this. What you are doing is against the law."

I told him the story of the police having removed Master's photo while attempting to arrest gamblers, and that we had immediately gone to the police station, asking to have the photo returned, and that the police came in person and returned the photo to us. After listening to the story they remained silent. The deputy police head looked at the Political and Judicial Committee secretary and asked him, "Should we write something down for documentation?" I said that I follow "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" to be a good person, and I have nothing to write. He insisted, took out pen and paper, wrote something and then wanted me to sign it. I resolutely refused. I said that I cultivate "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" and cannot lie, and this was not good for both him and me. He seemed to suddenly understand something and then said, "As long as the town leader can prove that we have come and done something it will be fine." He then no longer ordered me to sign my name. Soon they left. While I bid them farewell I said, "Please remember that Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good and Falun Dafa is good."

These people left; and the Falun Dafa emblem stating, "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" still hangs openly in our shop.

These several incidents made me realize again Master's poem,

"Should you have fear,

Master's compassionate protection, Dafa's mighty power and virtue, as well as the practitioners' righteous fields have suppressed the evil. These several incidents of breaking through tribulations with righteous thoughts have again demonstrated the principle that when a tribulation comes, a Dafa disciple's strong righteous thoughts will frighten the evil and render it powerless.
