Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Shuping from Wuqing County, Tianjin City was held at the Banqiao Women's Labor Camp in Tianjin City. Her term was arbitrarily extended three times. January 1, 2006 was to be her release date after her term was extended by six months for the second time, at which point she had already been held at the labor camp for five and a half years. Her family traveled 62 miles to pick her up at the labor camp. When they arrived, the labor camp authorities told them that Ms. Liu's sentence had been extended by four months because she had gone on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
