Mr. Yu Zhaohai, a villager from Dazu County, Chongqing City, is persecuted to death

Mr. Yu Zhaohai, about 70 years old, was a villager in Baoshan Town, Dazu County, Chongqing City. He was repeatedly persecuted by officials of the Chinese Communist Party and the police. Especially after he was threatened by local police in the market in August 2005, he fell ill and died within a few days.

After taking up cultivation practice, Mr. Yu Zhaohai enjoyed a healthy body and an uplifted moral standard. He was known as being sincere and compassionate. He once returned over 300 yuan to a person who forgot to collect money for magazines he subscribed to two years before. After July 20, 1999, he was illegally imprisoned and fined. The local government officials and the police from the local police station frequently threatened and harassed him. On April 8, 2000, when Mr. Yu and other fellow practitioners went to Baoding to share experiences, he was arrested and sent to the upper level of the Dazu County Supply and Marketing Cooperative Hotel. He was beaten by Li Fei, the chief of the First Section of the Dazu Police Station, and was pushed down to his knees. After a 1,000 yuan fine was taken from him, he was released to go home. The temporary housing he lived in was ransacked by over 10 people from the town government and the local police station. From that time on, he was forced to sign in and report to both the town clerk and the Party Secretary. They also arranged for Wu Liangbing and another person, who were both Communist Party members at the residence, to monitor him.

At that time, Wang Huade, the secretary of the party branch, took advantage of his power to bully, slander and threaten people. He also wanted to beat them. If he did not reach his goal, he would call the town government for help. For 70-year-old Mr. Yu, it was truly difficult to support a five-person family with one family member being ill for over one year and medical expenses amounting to over 10,000 yuan. There was no money to even repair the house, but the public security, the local police station, and the town government still made trouble for him. While he was imprisoned in the public security room and the local police station, Mr. Yu was awakened at night on purpose so as to deny him rest.

In 2003, the Chinese Communist Party officials arranged for Tao Zhongming, a village local who wanted to get rich, to monitor all of Mr. Yu's activities, including meals, sleep, going to restroom, walking, and working. He was monitored everywhere he went.

In August 2005, the local police threatened Mr. Yu yet again. He was under enormous psychological pressure and fell ill. A few days later, he passed away in August 2005.

Mr. Sun Gencai from Wangdu County, Hebei Province died in 2002

Mr. Sun from South Hanzhuang Village, Jiacun Town, Wangdu County, Hebei Province, began to cultivate Dafa in 1997. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began in July 1999, he and his family members, who were all practitioners, were frequently persecuted. Under the persecution he could not study the Fa and do the exercises normally. In November 2002, he passed away.

Before taking up cultivation practice, Mr. Sun had heart disease, hypertension, and headaches. After he cultivated Dafa, these were all healed. After July 20, 1999, police rushed into his home, threatened him, confiscated his family's property, and snatched Master's pictures and Dafa books. His daughter and two daughters-in-law were arrested, mercilessly beaten, and fined.

In 2001, Mr. Sun's daughter and son-in-law were sent to forced labor camp for two to three years, one after another. Because his parents were persecuted, Mr. Sun's grandson left home as a result of the tremendous pressure. Mr. Sun was constantly harassed by police, and he could not study the Fa and do the exercises normally. In November 2002, he passed away after his health deteriorated while placed under great duress.
