On the evening of May 17, 2005, at around 6:20 p.m., the Chuanying District 610 Office sent three policemen from Changchun Street Station, and had Neighborhood Administrator Jiang and He (both gender unknown) trick Ms. Wang into opening the door. They then arrested Ms. Wang and took her to a brainwashing session held in Jilin Chunguang Hotel. Due to Ms. Wang's refusal to cooperate with the unjust abduction, three policemen dragged her into the vehicle and stomped on her lower arms, belly, calves, and her feet, caused her whole left hand and lower arm to be covered with bruises and become numb. Her right foot swelled up alarmingly. She was menstruating at the time, and the attack left her with blood in her urine days later, stomachaches, and many bruises on her body.

Inside the brainwashing class, Ms. Wang continued her hunger strike to protest the persecution. On the eleventh day of her hunger strike, the 610 Office ordered her to be injected with unknown drugs twice in one day, with the excuse of injecting glucose. The drugs caused her whole body to shiver, and she could not think straight. Immediately after that, they used acupuncture needles to poke her body all over, creating a terrifying scene while claiming to help her by "grabbing the spirit possession". They were actually injecting drugs into her.
