By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

Overcoming Difficulties in Passing out Flyers Through Righteous Thoughts

Not long ago, I wanted to pass out truth clarification flyers during the night. But the next day, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sent someone to my home to pressure my husband and mother-in-law. They said that someone was passing out Falun Gong flyers again and told them to watch me and not let me leave the house. They suspected me, because I had passed out flyers before, for which I was sentenced to a year and a half in prison. From that time onwards, for the next year, I was closely monitored.

One night I took some booklets to a riverbank near a row of trees. I saw two people looking for insects on the trees. I placed a truth-clarification booklet underneath a tree not far from them, and I watched them from a little ways away. They walked toward the booklet, turned around and walked away. I then quickly picked the booklet up. A little while later I saw several people come by on the other side of the road. I put the booklet on the road but not one person even picked it up. I retrieved the booklet and got very frustrated because no one picked it up, and didn't pass out any more flyers on that day.

When I came home, I asked myself what was the matter. Why did it seem that when I would pass out flyers someone reported my activities? And why would people walk toward a booklet but then turn around and walk away? Why would people walk directly toward the booklet and not see it or pick it up? It must be the dark minions of the old forces, not allowing them to see the booklet at all.

From that point on, each time before I went out to pass out literature, I would send forth righteous thoughts towards the materials and tell them, "You came here to this world to help save sentient beings. Don't let the evil destroy you, so that you can be picked up by people with predestined connections." After I return home from passing out materials, I would send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the dark minions in other dimension who try to interfere with people picking up the materials, reading them, understanding them, or telling their friends and family about the facts. After I started doing that, I found that people would take the materials I placed and nobody turned me in anymore. I saw a great improvement after sending forth righteous thoughts.

Good or Bad Comes from One Thought

In 1998 my older sister, also a Falun Dafa practitioner, came to visit. When I mentioned cultivation practice, she said that as long as she cultivated to the Bodhisattva level, it would be good enough for her. I told her, "The level of Bodhisattva is too low and not much beyond the human realm. I want to cultivate to a higher level--the higher the better." My sister said, "I really do not have that kind of aspiration." When I heard what she said, I did not really take those words to heart.

After the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, my sister was arrested several times and suffered all kinds of torture. But she broke through it every time and came back safely. In 2001, I was illegally detained for a year and a half. After I came home, my younger sister told me that our older sister had passed away. I was in shock. She had cultivated so well. How could she have died?

My mother told me what she saw in other dimensions during an experience sharing conference. She saw my sister wearing the garb of a Bodhisattva. She stayed in the experience sharing site for a long time and then left. I had tears in my eyes when I heard that and recalled what my older sister had told me. I recalled that I did not help her see her attachment. If I had looked at her words on the basis of the Fa, reminded her and told her that the thought she had was wrong, and that we should all be continuously improving and upgrading, maybe she would not have been taken advantage of by the evil and lost her life. The evil will indeed take advantage of any shortcoming we have, and we should all be vigilant in seeing them and helping each other overcome them based on the Fa.
