There is a young Falun Dafa practitioner named Baobao, and even though she is only eight years old, she does not forget her righteous thoughts and actions when they are necessary.

To show her respect for Teacher, Baobao made a birthday card for Teacher several days before his birthday. On the card, she drew a beautiful Falun and a pure lotus flower, and wrote her birthday wishes for Teacher. Since the card could not be mailed to Teacher, Baobao posted the card on her bedroom door. Baobao's father does not practice Falun Dafa, and when he saw the card after work, he tore it apart. At that moment, Baobao was very unhappy, but she told herself that she needed to let her dad learn the truth, so she clarified the truth to him. Later, she found time to draw four more birthday cards, and these were even more beautiful than the first, and she again posted them on her bedroom door.

Baobao likes to play with little animals, so one day her mom bought her a tiny turtle. She took the little turtle with her everywhere she went, even when they left the house. A fellow practitioner commented on Baobao and her little turtle, "Why are you still playing with little pet animals? You are a practitioner, playing with little animals is also an attachment that needs to be eliminated!" Very soon after, Baobao began to experience fever, headaches, and vomiting, and her ailments lasted for several days. Baobao cried while throwing a tantrum and claimed that it was all because of her playing with the little turtle. At that point, Baobao's mom understood the situation and gave the little turtle away.

One afternoon on her way home from school, Baobao was hit by a speeding motorcycle and thrown to the ground five to six meters away. The cyclist quickly drove off without even stopping. She was immediately knocked unconscious, and the bystanders all thought she must be dead. But after several minutes, she woke up feeling empty headed, and she felt as if nothing had happened. She thought in her heart that she would be fine, and silently recited "Falun Dafa is good." At the same time, she told her classmates, "Help me get home!" With the help of her classmates she made it home, and she was able to return to school the next day. She was completely fine and only had a little scratch on her left hand.

Baobao is a very playful and active little girl, but in the past she wasn't even able to concentrate and control herself during class. Since then, Baobao has declared her withdrawal from the Youth Vanguard League and burned her red scarf. Every time there is a school activity, she has always been able to avoid the students on duty checking around for the red scarf. Baobao has quit the Youth Vanguard League, and she is now able to concentrate and correct her undesirable habits. This summer her teacher nominated her for "The Most Outstanding Member of the Youth Vanguard League for Young Communists," however Baobao told her teacher that she does not want that honor. Some classmates later asked her, "Do you regret refusing the award?" Baobao replied with a sure tone, "I have no regrets. I feel that I have done the right thing. I will never regret my decision."
