(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Cheng Huizhong was 71 years old and a Falun Gong practitioner from Cheng'an County, Handan City, Hebei Province. He had many illnesses previously, but after starting to practice Falun Gong on February 20, 1999, his illnesses were gone.
On August 31, 2002, when attending a large scale experience sharing conference in the county, Mr. Cheng Huizhong was arrested and subsequently tortured by the police. He eventually suffered a mental collapse and could no longer take care of himself. Police extorted money from his family and then released him, for fear of being held responsible for his death. Mr. Cheng never recovered and died in February 2005.
