Facts of the Persecution

1. The Persecution of Chongqing City Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wu Xiaoqin Four Years Ago

I am Wu Xiaoqin, female, 40 years old, a former technician at the Sichuan No. 7 Measuring Appliance Factory in Shuitu Town, Beipei District, Chongqing City. Because of my firm belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," I lost my job, was forced to divorce my husband, and lost my registered permanent residence. I have been illegally detained many times. In early September 2000, I was sent to the Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City for one year of forced labor. At the Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp, two people monitor every Falun Dafa practitioner. Every time we recited the Lunyu, practiced the Falun Gong exercises or protested the persecution, they cruelly beat us, cuffed us, taped our mouths shut with yellow sticky tape and forced us to squat down with both feet held together. If we changed our posture, even a bit, we were beaten.

2. Officials from the 610 Office of Hongan County, Hubei Province Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners

Since Jiang's regime initiated the persecution against Falun Dafa and its practitioners on July 20, 1999, the 610 Office of Hongan County, Hubei Province has spared no effort to persecute the Falun Dafa practitioners in Hongan County. Many happy and harmonious families have been broken up, many Falun Dafa practitioners have endured huge mental suffering, and some have been forced to leave home in order to avoid being arrested and tortured. On December 26, 2004, Wang Yalin from the 610 Office colluded with policemen from the Hongan County No. 3 Police Station to ransack practitioner Ms. Li Yanrong's home. Yao Xuejun, also from the 610 Office, led policemen from the Huahe Police Station and the Zhaohe Police Section to ransack practitioner Yu Yonghua's home. Before this happened, they confiscated two computers from two other practitioners' homes, and still have not returned them. Another practitioner's personal property, including electrical appliances, was also confiscated.

3. The Police from Faku County, Liaoning Province Detain Innocent People

One day in November 2004, in Tucheng Village, Baojiatun Township, Faku County, Liaoning Province, policemen from the Baojiatun Police Station arrived at the home of Mr. Zhang Yonghai. They claimed there were many Falun Gong truth clarification flyers on the streets, and suspected Zhang's relative, who practices Falun Gong, of being responsible for them. They thought that Mr. Zhang harbored the practitioner, so, without any legal procedure, the police took Mr. Zhang, an elderly man over 60 years old, to the police station where they detained him for a day.

5. Officials in Nanjing City Cruelly Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners

The following is a description of one of the torture methods that was used by the Qixia District Police Department and the 610 Office in Nanjing City to persecute Falun Gong practitioners between 2000 and 2001. The police first handcuffed the practitioner's hands behind his or her back; then they forced the practitioner to stand for a long time facing the wall without any sleep allowed. Once the practitioner became tired, the police inserted two chopsticks into the practitioner's nose. As soon as the practitioner started to doze off and fell forward, the chopsticks would hit the wall and be pushed back into the nose, causing the nostrils to bleed profusely.

They tortured Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wu Rongduo in Judong Forced Labor Camp, Jiangsu Province in the following way: They pulled off Ms. Wu's clothes; then they locked her up and forced her to stand in a small room. It was winter, so they poured cold water on the floor and put a bucket of water behind her [to make it feel even colder].

Tang Guofang from the education section of the Nanjin City Re-education through Forced Labor Bureau colluded with Zhang Yan and others from the Judong Forced Labor Camp to produce a recording for the purpose of slandering Falun Dafa. It was full of horrible sounds of crying and screaming in fear. They locked up Dafa practitioners in an empty room and played this recording at high volume.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Jianshe is a resident of Building No. 14, Gulou District, Nanjin City. For more than half a year, Ms. Yu has been detained at the Gulou District Brainwashing Center organized by the local 610 Office. They deprived her of sleep for ten days and nights, and they are still detaining her.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Yulong, also from Building No. 14, was sent to a mental hospital by the workplace in 2002. Zhang has been suffering persecution there since that time.
