1. Guo Guiju suffers persecution at Baoding Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Guo Guiju, a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives in Xiong County, Hebei Province, was unlawfully imprisoned on September, 24, 2004, by the Dongyang vice squad of the Xiong County Police Station. She was forced to sit on an electric chair for 24 hours. She went on a hunger strike to protest this unlawful treatment. On September 27, she was sent to a forced labor camp without due process. Guo Guiju continued her hunger strike in the forced labor camp. After two days, the persecutors force-fed her and brainwashed her. She started to eat at the eleventh day. She even broke down and agreed to renounce Falun Gong, but later wrote a solemn declaration to declare her previous statement null and void. On January 19, 2005, she went on a hunger strike for the second time. A prison doctor named Du used a long needle to stab Guo Guiju in the center of her upper lip right below her nose, the arches of her feet, her toes and her fingers. Officials further tortured her by injecting drugs and force-feeding her. Her hands were locked to a bed for 24 hours. Guo Guiju took off the force-feeding tube on the evening of February 6, 2005, and ate food the next evening. The forced labor camp faces bankruptcy and is falling apart as a work unit.
