Chengdu Falun Dafa Practitioners Hu Gui'e and Li Yuru Persecuted to Death by the CCP's 610 Office in 2003 and 2002

Chengdu Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Hu Gui'e and Ms. Li Yuru were persecuted to death in 2003 and 2002, respectively.

Ms. Hu Gui'e, age 68, was a retired employee of Sichuan University. Before she obtained the Fa in 1995, she had suffered from serious asthma and other cardiovascular diseases. For over 20 years she was dependent on medicine and could barely take care of herself. After practicing Falun Dafa for less than half a year, she recovered her health and walked with vigorous strides. All of her colleagues and friends were astonished at the changes in her.

In the spring of 2000, Ms. Hu went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa in order to validate the Fa. The Chengdu City police forcefully abducted her at the Beijing Railway Station and detained her at Chengdu Detention Center for more than 40 days. They also fined her approximately ten thousand yuan.

After Ms. Hu was released from the Chengdu Detention Center, she continuously clarified the truth about Falun Dafa, revealing the evil nature of the persecution in order to save the world's people. The police repeatedly abducted her, kept her under surveillance, followed and harassed her, and forced her to undergo brainwashing. Under the pressure of this injustice, she passed away on March 17, 2003.

Ms. Li Yuru, 58, was a school doctor for the 12^th Middle School of Chengdu City. Before she obtained the Fa in 1995, she suffered from hepatitis B and other diseases. She was often referred to as a "medicine pot" or a "half alive person ." After practicing Falun Dafa for less than one year, she was completely healed. In order to uphold the reputation of Falun Dafa, she maintained a prolonged effort to publicly clarify the truth to people.

In 2002, the Wuhou District Wangjiang Road Police Station illegally detained Ms. Li. The police then searched her home without a warrant and confiscated her property. She was repeatedly abducted, harassed, threatened and trailed. The corrupt officials of the 610 Office employed homeless people to take turns monitoring Ms. Li. She suffered both physically and mentally, and fell deathly ill. The policemen maintained surveillance from their police vehicles just outside her door even when she was dying in bed. Ms. Li's husband, a very refined man who never loses his temper, told them: "She is dying, and you're still doing this to her! You let the murderers and arsonists go, and come here to seize a good person like my wife!"

Ms. Li Yuru died on July 30, 2002.
