(Clearwisdom.net) Since October, 2005 a group of young adult Falun Gong practitioners from the Hsinchu area, Taiwan have held a "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validate the Fa Photo Exhibition" at their own universities, including National Tsing Hua University, National Chiao Tung University, Chung Hua University and National Hsinchu University of Education. The exhibitions helped the university students and professors understand further about the insidious persecution of Falun Gong happening in China and the wonder of the wide dissemination of Falun Dafa in 78 countries and areas around the world. It helped bring out people's compassion and inspired more people to actively support Falun Gong and participate in helping to stop the persecution.

The anti-torture exhibition exposes the CCP's brutal persecution

There are many historic relics in the city of Hsinchu, which is also a city renowned for scientific achievements. There are scientific industrial areas, industrial research areas and many research institutions such as National Tsing Hua, National Chiao Tung University and others.

Between October 24 and 28, Chung Hua University held a Journey of Fa-rectification photo exhibition, close to Tsingcao Lake, in a southern neighborhood of the city of Hsinchu. Due to the lack of experience in organizing and promoting this, not too many people visited the exhibition. But the people who did visit showed their sympathy and condemned the persecution. A professor from another country walked by the door of the exhibition. He was appalled by the persecution of the children and youth who practice Falun Gong. He signed his name to a petition supporting the end of the persecution and took some Falun Gong brochures with him.

The one-week "Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa Photo Exhibition" created an opportunity for university students to get to know Falun Gong for the very first time. The exhibition revealed to students the fortitudinous spirit of Falun Gong practitioners and the wonders of cultivation. They asked, "What is Falun Gong? Why is it being persecuted?" They listened attentively as the practitioners answered their questions.

Near the door of the exhibition a signature drive was being held to rescue the children of Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted in Mainland China. As these students will be teaching children in the future, they were eager to help. Some students expressed that all children in the midst of hardship need care and support, no matter whether they are from Africa or South Asia, or the children of Falun Gong practitioners. A second grade elementary school student signed his name immediately after he listened to these stories. He also said, "Do you need donations to help them?" Many students showed great enthusiasm for this effort. Not only did they sign their names, but they also asked other students in their classes to provide their support.

The photo exhibition also came to the Water and Wood Showroom of Tsing Hua University. The Water and Wood showroom is usually a student café. Many people come and go. There was a picture of a young practitioner holding a banner reading "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" by the showroom door, which attracted many people and also advertised the photo exhibition.

These photos are reflections of practitioners' cultivation and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." They truly record the progress of the wide dissemination of Dafa around the world and practitioners' truth-clarifying feats.

Practitioners from Tsinghua University in Mainland China are being cruelly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). According to statistics from the Hong Kong Human Rights Information Center, at least 300 professors, teachers, and doctors, masters and bachelor's degree candidates at the campus of Tsinghua University in Mainland China have been arrested, dismissed from their jobs or schools or directly sent to detention centers. During the six years since the persecution started in July 1999, according to information circulating among the people, two people died as a result of the persecution and at least 18 people were illegally sentenced. Countless students, teachers and [university] employees were forced to drop out of school, were expelled from their jobs, detained or brainwashed. Some have had to leave their homes to avoid persecution. Liu Zhimei from the Class of 97 was sentenced twelve years in prison in 2001 and suffered a mental collapse. She is still being detained in the Shandong Women's Prison. Liu Xiaofeng from the Art Design Institute and more than 120 other practitioners are still being detained and persecuted in the Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Yuan Jiang, 29, graduated from Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering in July 1995 and was head of the Falun Gong volunteer assistance center in Gansu Province. He used to be the assistant general manager of the Information Technology Engineering Co., an affiliate with the Telecommunications Bureau in the City of Lanzhou. He was later removed from the position and demoted to chief technical executive because he refused to renounce Falun Dafa. He was arrested on August 30, 2001, near Dunhuang, Gansu Province. On November 9, he passed away due to the serious injuries he incurred from torture at the Gansu Province police department.

National Chiao Tung University

Between November 13 and November 20, the photo exhibition moved to the Haoran Library at National Chiao Tung University. Haoran Library is a multifunctional library and information center of science, art and entertainment with a combination of books and electronic information technologies. Approximately 1,200 persons come here daily to read and visit.

Many teachers and students stopped by to view the photos and read the captions during the exhibit. When they saw the pictures of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted, they were shocked and couldn't believe such atrocious things are happening in today's world.

Many moving incidents happened during the exhibition. One person was moved by the exhibit and said he would come again with his children. Some parents explained each photo to their children. Some students picked up the brochures and materials on the table and read them after looking at all the photos.

Some Vietnamese students came to visit National Chiao Tung University. They happened to come to the exhibit. After introductions they said they were very lucky to see this exhibition. One girl said there were practitioners in her hometown as well, and she witnessed the miracles of people becoming healthy after practicing Falun Gong. A lady said she couldn't understand why the CCP would persecute such peaceful practitioners.

After over one month of Falun Gong practitioners' photo exhibitions in different universities, many more people now support Falun Gong and know more about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. They also learned more about the practice of Falun Gong and how it can bring people good health and peace. There are more new faces at the practice sites to learn the five exercises and begin the path of cultivation in Falun Gong.
