(Clearwisdom.net) I participated in a small Dafa experience sharing conference in the countryside recently under Teacher's great mercy and arrangement. (Editor's note: Under the current circumstances in Mainland China, practitioners there should not gather in large numbers for any activity, including experience sharing conferences) This was the first conference I have attended after July 20, 1999. The conference was held in a neat and quite small courtyard of a farmhouse. As soon as I entered the house, I felt that I had entered a benevolent, peaceful and righteous field.

The following issues were discussed during the conference: assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa, doing the three things well, understanding the Fa from the Fa, personal cultivation not being ignored during the Fa-rectification period, getting rid of human attachments, walking straight on our path, looking within when problems occur, being diligent, improving as a whole, becoming mature, and other topics.

When talking about studying the Fa well, an older fellow practitioner from the country said that he thought memorizing the Fa was the best form of Fa study. He had memorized five lectures of Zhuan Falun, and he could recite them very fluently. When he memorized the Fa, the energy field in his brain was very strong. I tested the practitioner out of good intention by asking him to recite one paragraph that I could remember, and he recited it solemnly. Another practitioner said, "I once memorized Zhuan Falun as well, but I didn't know how to study the Fa well until recently. To study the Fa, one must understand the Fa from the heart, and let every word go through one's heart."

While talking about clarifying the truth, a fellow practitioner said that Teacher said in his Fa-lecture, "Let me tell you, every person in the entire world was at one point part of my family."(Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference). When clarifying the truth, we should treat everyone who is listening as Teacher's relative. We must "have a heart that can melt steel" and "for the sake of the salvation of all sentient beings, we should not stop until the ultra-microcosmic realm is transcended." Another practitioner said, "Our local material sites are blossoming like flowers everywhere."

When talking about righteous thoughts, one practitioner said, "I persist in sending forth righteous thoughts four times every day." Practitioner A told a story about how practitioner B, who didn't attend the conference, opposed the persecution with righteous thoughts. "Practitioner B is a genuine disciple with righteous thoughts and righteous actions. Teacher's portrait is hung in his home openly and nobly. I once asked practitioner B to give me Teacher's portrait. Practitioner B said to me, 'If you hide Teacher's portrait underneath the water vat or the firewood stack, I wouldn't give it to you. If you would hang it openly and nobly in your home, I can give it to you.' One day, several police vans arrived at practitioner B's home to search his house when he was at home. The police had already entered the yard when he saw them. He immediately locked both the outhouse and the back room, quickly went to the window, erected his hand and sent righteous thoughts towards the police. He recalled that when he sent righteous thoughts, he was thinking, 'Teacher will help me. You police officers are sentient beings that I want to save. Don't listen to the evil, listen to me. Turn around and go back.' At the same time he sent his energy to cover all the police officers outside and cleared the evil behind them with his righteous thoughts. After he finished sending righteous thoughts, he heard one police officer say to another policeman, pointing at him, 'Look, he still acts like this, even when we are here. It's no use. Let's go back.' After he said this, all the police officers just turned around and left. "All the practitioners at the conference felt greatly encouraged after hearing this story.

When talking about Consummation, a practitioner said that his understanding towards Consummation at the moment was totally different from that during the personal cultivation period. The understanding before was about the Consummation of individuals, and now it was about the Consummation of the entire firmament. Another practitioner said that his understanding was that it was Dafa that Consummated everything.

When talking about improving as a whole, one practitioner said, "Now, I don't often think about personal advancement any more. I am thinking about how to save more sentient beings and how to improve as a whole, including the overall improvement of the family's environment and the region's environment."

The sharing was sincere and full of substance. It became dark before everyone realized it, and thus the conference finished. After coming back home, I searched within while letting each and every thing be measured against the Fa. I gained further understanding of the concept of improving as a whole. Before that I only focused on personal diligence on Fa-study, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth. I had been ignoring the overall improvement of the surrounding environment. Now I realized that merely personal improvement was still too focused on myself. Why did Teacher ask us to study together and practice together? Wasn't he hoping that his disciples could improve as a whole and be diligent together? Wouldn't it be wonderful if every Dafa practitioner recognized the importance of being diligent together?
