I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner who was forced to leave home and now wander about to avoid further persecution. I heard from a fellow practitioner that our local environment has become "loose." Practitioners have set up Fa-study groups, and the police don't harass practitioners on "sensitive" days anymore. Some police officers even said publicly that as long as practitioners didn't distribute the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the booklet The Real Story of Jiang Zemin, they wouldn't interfere with practitioners practicing Dafa at home. Some practitioners who hadn't stepped out because of their attachment to fear are thinking that, because the environment has improved a lot, they can be less strict with themselves and have stopped paying as much attention to security. I think this is very dangerous.

The reason that the authorities have said these things is because the old forces, dark minions, and rotten demons that controlled those people have realized that our righteous belief is unstoppable, and that they are bound to be defeated. Today's environment has indeed improved a lot. It is a result of all of our practitioners' efforts. Some practitioners were forced to leave home. Some even died because of the persecution. Now we have a relatively safe environment. But if we hide in our homes and don't step forward to validate the Fa, I'm afraid we eventually won't even be able to do personal cultivation, since the old forces' are trying so hard to ruin us.

As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, our mission is to validate the Fa, save sentient beings, assist Teacher with what Teacher has chosen to do, and realize our promises that we made prehistorically. Besides,

"The path that Dafa disciples have walked in validating the Fa--where as they cultivate themselves they also save sentient beings, accommodate the needs of the cosmos's Fa-rectification, and disintegrate and clear away the dark minions and rotten demons that are negatively impacting the Fa-rectification and doing evil against Dafa disciples, as well as all the elements of interference and persecution arranged by the old forces--such is the complete path of cultivation, Consummation, and becoming a magnificent god that Disciples of Dafa walk." ("My Version of a 'Stick Wake-up'")

The reason that we are taking a different path from previous cultivators in history is simply because we are living in a special period when there is Fa-rectification in the cosmos and the firmaments are reorganizing.

"Master wants to save all sentient beings. But the evil forces are truly committing sins against Dafa by using all sentient beings, with the ultimate purpose of destroying them." ("Dafa is Indestructible")

What does Teacher want? What fruit status are Dafa practitioners going to achieve? What are the ulterior goals of the old forces and the Communist evil specter? If we are still unable to understand why we came here and what our responsibilities are, we will lose this opportunity:

"The countless years of hardship were all for this time" ("A Will that Ebbs Not")

If we can't use our righteous thoughts based on Fa-rectification to see through the evil's scheme, or if we are content with personal cultivation, then

"What they do pleases the evil and helps the evil in the persecution." ("My Version of a 'Stick Wake-up'")

We all know that the Nine Commentaries is a book to dissolve the evil Communist Party. It is a powerful tool to disintegrate the Communist evil specter and it is what the evil fears the most. When large amounts of evil factors of the Communist evil specter are being eliminated, the evil specter and the evil Communist Party are bound to struggle. The Communist Party has accumulated many experiences from its dictatorships in the past dozens of years. The "improved environment" is one of its tactics when it needs a break. It's trying to paralyze Dafa practitioners' firm belief and righteous thoughts. Therefore, the more improved the environment is, the more we need to study the Fa. We need to stand on the base of assisting Teacher with Fa-rectification to clarify the truth, distribute the Nine Commentaries, and catch up with the Fa-rectification progress.

We should learn from our lessons. In 2003, the local police used similar tactics to make practitioners "relax." Then they hit us hard by launching large-scale arrests and searches of practitioners' homes. Some practitioners couldn't step forward after that and couldn't break through the personal cultivation state. They came to realize what had happened when Teacher published his article entitled "My Version of a 'Stick Wake-up.'" However, the mistake has been made and time has been wasted and we lost some opportunities to save sentient beings and to cultivate ourselves. Now the Fa-rectification has entered its final stage. Every second is for us to save the world's people. Therefore, we need to truly cherish this period. We need to study the Fa from the Fa and strive forward diligently. We need to do well the three things that Teacher asked us to do and not be taken advantage of by the evil. The closer to the end, the more diligent we should be.

Finally, let's encourage each other with Teacher's words,

"...but you should take fewer detours on this most magnificent, divine path; not leave reason for regret in your futures; and not fall so far behind in terms of levels. That is my hope, your hope, and the hope of the beings who are counting on you." ("The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be")
