(Clearwisdom.net) On January 28, 2005, during Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong's state visit to five South American countries, Ministerio Publico y la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Republica Peru accepted a lawsuit (case number: 1704) filed by the Peruvian Falun Dafa Association against Zeng Qinghong, Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, and Bo Xilai for crimes of genocide and crimes against humanity.

On the afternoon of January 29, the Peruvian Falun Dafa Association conducted a press conference. Reporters interviewed Mr. Rosas, an attorney representing Falun Gong practitioners in this lawsuit.

Mr. Rosas pointed out, "The persecution against Falun Gong in China has been going on for more than five years. Currently, we are not only asking to end this persecution, but we also demanding to bring those chief perpetrators to justice and hold them accountable what they have done. We need to let the world know what has happened in China and why it happened, so that it will not happen again in the future."

The local mainstream media did not cover Zeng's visit during the visit itself, so most locals did not even know about it until some major media reported it after he left.

The "Tiananmen Self-Immolation" incident is a story that was created, and has been repeatedly utilized, by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as a propaganda tool to turn public opinion against Falun Gong. However, on Friday, January 21, 2005, the Beijing bureau of the Associated Press published an article reporting this propaganda as if it were fact, using the CCP's own language.

The CCP's portrayal of the 2001 Tiananmen Square self-immolation tragedy has been called into question by numerous human rights organizations and media outlets including The Washington Post, and repudiated outright by International Education Development at the United Nations as staged by the [Chinese] government. Foreign journalists attempting to investigate the incident were barred from doing so and detained in China. A careful frame-by-fame analysis of the CCP's own video shows one of the victims collapsing to the ground after being clubbed with what appears to be an iron bar, which then bounces off her head; in fact numerous aspects of the case raise concern about its veracity.

Why would AP, one of the most respected and trusted wire services, willingly give voice to this material without full research? The Dan Rather incident is a case in point; after CBS could not validate the authenticity of its sources, it was held accountable. The article AP printed offered no expression of third-party view, no questioning of motive, and no skepticism over the details of a controversial, and by all accounts, highly successful tool of the persecution. In reporting this story without any attempt at journalistic objectivity, AP not only becomes a tool of the CCP and its terrible persecution but cloaks the story in respectability, making it appear all the more real and damning.

For over five years, practitioners of Falun Gong in China have been sent to slave labor camps and brainwashing centers, tortured and killed. Their families have been harassed and threatened, ultimately affecting hundreds of millions of people. There have even been incidents of harassment in the United States and elsewhere by agents of the CCP. We ask why there is no mention of this vast and horrific repression, and why there is no questioning of the motives of the Chinese Communist Party? One has only to look at its history to understand the ease with which it manipulates, lies, distorts, destroys the human spirit, and murders without the slightest remorse, to achieve its objective, the monopoly of power.

Friends of Falun Gong USA calls upon The Associated Press, all free-press throughout the world, and the public to consider the implications of such an article being accepted and released by a well-respected media organization and taken at face value. We ask that AP run a follow-up story to critically examine the motives of the CCP in covering up the persecution of Falun Gong, and to reveal its five-year-long persecution. On the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, and in light of other genocides such as Rwanda and Darfur, we hope that the lessons learned will shed light on what is occurring in China the persecution and killing of people who practice their belief in Falun Gong.

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently the Chinese propaganda machines, including the Xinhua News Agency and CCTV, were set in motion to "review" the "Self-immolation" case once again. Here is the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) logic. Several people burned themselves in Tiananmen Square. They claimed that they had practiced Falun Gong before. The CCP then claimed that it was Falun Gong that had taught them to do so.

Does that logic make sense?

If a murderer had been to a church several times, would you blame his crime on Christianity? Would you say that Jesus taught him to kill?

After Falun Gong practitioners all over the world put forth great efforts to stop the persecution, suddenly a few people went to Tiananmen Square to burn themselves in order to "ascend to the heavens" and insisted that they were taught by Falun Gong to do so. They claimed to be Falun Gong practitioners, but they didn't do what other practitioners do. They didn't clarify the truth of Falun Gong to people. They didn't expose the CCP's lies and persecution. They didn't validate the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Their statements were immediately refuted by Falun Gong practitioners all over the world. The International Education Development (IED) NGO analyzed CCTV's footage of the Tiananmen Self-immolation and reported to the United Nations that it was "staged by the (Chinese) government" to defame Falun Gong.

Actually, Falun Gong explicitly prohibits killing and suicide. Self-immolation violates Falun Gong's principles. None of the tens of millions of Falun Gong practitioners all over the world have committed self-immolation. Falun Gong did not cause the self-immolation of these few people.

The Chinese media, controlled by Jiang's regime, nonetheless insisted that the self-immolation resulted from cultivating Falun Gong because those few people involved in the self-immolation claimed that "they had practiced Falun Gong before." Such logic does not make sense. It actually serves to expose the contemptible means employed by the persecutors.

First of all, as Jiang's regime controls all propaganda machines to wantonly "expose and criticize" Falun Gong, it prohibits anyone from getting any positive information about Falun Gong. It destroys Falun Gong books and materials and blocks Minghui.org (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net), which posts positive information about Falun Gong. Such acts expose Jiang's true intentions in slandering and defaming Falun Gong. Everyone understands that accusing others without allowing them to defend themselves is reprehensible.

Secondly, the few people involved in the self-immolation stated that they began to practice Falun Gong at a certain time. The state-controlled media purposely emphasized their statements, claiming it as proof they were Falun Gong practitioners, so as to connect the self-immolation with Falun Gong. Falun Gong is not a secret organization. Before it was persecuted in China, anyone could join the group exercises and Fa-study that were publicly held. If these self-immolators indeed practiced Falun Gong before, their acts completely contradicted Falun Gong's principles. Were they qualified to call themselves Falun Gong practitioners? Could a person who went to church a few times call himself a disciple of Jesus? If he kills, would Jesus have to bear the responsibility?

Thirdly, the CCP media claim that the self-immolators were urged to set themselves on fire after reading articles written by the founder of Falun Gong. This sounds even more ridiculous. There are so many Falun Gong practitioners around the world who read the same articles. The other practitioners clarified the truth and exposed the persecution so that people who were deceived by rumors and lies understood the beauty of Falun Gong. How could these few persons disregard the fact that countless practitioners were persecuted and burn themselves in public to pursue so-called "ascending to the heavens," creating more excuses for Jiang's regime to persecute Falun Gong? Of course, Jiang's regime didn't dare publish articles written by Falun Gong's founder.

More and more people are learning the facts about Falun Gong. Once again Jiang's regime gives much publicity to the "Tiananmen Self-immolation" case, but this only further exposes the regime's ridiculous logic and deceptive nature.

(Clearwisdom.net) Included in the evidence collected by the "Minghui Committee for Collecting Evidence of Persecution" are two notices dated July 22, 1999. Both are from the Office of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Committee of Hengshui City, Hebei Province. One was labeled "secret" and titled "Notice from Hengshui City CCP Committee Office Regarding the Issuance of its July 21, 1999 Standing Committee Meeting Minutes" ("City CCP Committee Notice" for short). The other was "Urgent Notice on Several Specific Requirements for The Current Task of Handling and Solving Falun Gong Issue" ("Urgent Notice" for short). These two notices are direct evidence of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and reveal the systematic nature of the illegal persecution.

There are statements in the so-called "City CCP Committee Notice" that the "City CCP Committee and City Government handled and solved the Falun Gong issues according to the strategic planning of the Central CCP Committee and Provincial CCP Committee per requirements of the No.13 Document." The Central CCP Committee No. 13 Document they referred to was Jiang's personal will, expressed in the form of a document issued by Jiang on July 20, 1999 in the name of "the Central CCP Committee." In the "Urgent Notice," it was stated that "Thoroughly communicate and carry out CCP Secretary General Jiang's important instructions and the spirit of his speech ... was the important premise to completely triumph in this combat." No. 13 Document ordered a complete ban of Falun Gong and claimed, "It is an austere political struggle." The autocratic system of the Chinese Communist Party made the governments all over the country unconditionally obey Jiang's Central CCP Committee and to attack the innocent and persecute the good.

These kinds of secret documents indicate that like how Mao Zedong initiated the Cultural Revolution, Jiang Zemin exerted his political power in lieu of the law and used the Chinese Communist Party to initiate the inhuman persecution. He totally disregarded the fact that Falun Gong has its roots in traditional Chinese culture, has broad popularity and benefits the country in all aspects with harm to none. The persecution is not based on any public opinion, but made use of CCP's organizational discipline "The whole party should comply with the Central CCP Committee (which was Jiang )" and to coerce all the party members and ordinary people to follow Jiang's order.

Before the persecution was formally initiated, the so-called "City CCP Committee Notice" mentioned that "According to the arrangements of the Central CCP Committee and Provincial Party Committee" the City CCP Committee and City Government had "done a lot of work and laid a good foundation for completely dealing with and solving Falun Gong issue."

We have obtained a lot of materials indicating that before the persecution officially started, Jiang Zemin and the CCP had already made secret plans to prepare for the persecution. For instance, on April 27, 1999 the [1999] No. 14 top-secret document surfaced. On June 7, 1999, Jiang made a speech on Falun Gong issue at the Conference of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CCP. On June 13, 1999, the Office of Central CCP Committee issued Jiang's speech as a document released from the Central CCP Committee. Under Jiang's personal plan and arrangement, "the Leadership Team Office Handling Falun Gong Issues" was set up on June 10, 1999, hence the name of this office is "610 Office" (or "610") in short

Witnesses and material evidence show that Jiang personally led the CCP to commit a variety of premeditated activities preparing for the persecution.

The two notices explicitly mention the 610 Leadership Team and 610 Office. We may conclude from the "City CCP Committee Notice" that "610" directly serves the CCP committee. "610" is a nationwide CCP organization, specifically established to persecute Falun Gong. It has trampled the law and committed countless crimes of persecution against Falun Gong. By the large scale of the notices issued, it is evident that "610" was widely known within the party before the persecution began in 1999. However, the public was in the dark about the matter.

The Hengshui City CCP Committee issued the notices and documents with no regard for the law. Jiang Zemin issued orders under the name of "rule of law" to persecute people who practice "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance".

These two notices have shown that the CCP Committee of Hengshui City is the local supporter as well as the backstage director and plotter of the persecution of Falun Gong. It has deployed various detailed persecution plans and lived up to being the "Centralized Leadership of the CCP." The "City CCP Committee Notice" clearly stipulated that "each level CCP and secretary of CCP organizational committee is to be primarily responsible".

Hebei Province is one of the worst offenders in the persecution of Falun Gong. As of

January 5, 2005, at least 140 practitioners have been tortured to death. Eight were from Hengshui City. Their names were Mr. Yin Genwang (69), Ms. Wang Dongmei (in her 30s), Ms. Liu Fuse (67), Mr. Zhang Jianxun (64), Mr. Liu Qiusheng (in his 40s), Ms. Xiao Xin'gai (39), Mr. Liu Lianyi (54), and Ms. An Xiukun (49). As to those practitioners who are injured, disabled, illegally detained, sent to forced labor or forced to become homeless due to the persecution, their number still remains unknown. In addition to 610 Office staff, police and other lawless personnel participating in persecution, the Hengshui City CCP Committee holds undeniable responsibility.

During the process of this large-scale bloody and brutal persecution of Falun Gong, the CCP, as a mature, violent machine skilled in killing and lying, has played a key role. As the Secretary General of the CCP, whether on the front stage or behind the scenes, Jiang Zemin controlled the CCP to mobilize the whole state machine including the military, the media, public security, police, state security, the judiciary system, the People's Congress, diplomats, sham religious groups and others to assist in the persecution.

5. Hengshui City CCP Committee Notice Full of Lies

The persecution initiated by Jiang is based on lies. Through the organizational structure of the CCP, Jiang infused all levels of CCP Committees with his lies, and then CCP Committees infused party members with those lies. Both of these notices repeated the lies and slander contrived by Jiang. The "City CCP Committee Notice" demanded to "do well in propaganda and control public opinion" in order to defame and slander Falun Gong.

From the notice, we can also see that the Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, the Central People's Radio Station and other CCP-controlled media repeatedly fabricated lies to slander Falun Gong and its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi. The "Urgent Notice" demanded all related workplaces to seriously study, view and listen to the defamatory propaganda from the CCP Central media departments and then followed it up by a discussion and public criticism, an eerie replay of things that happened in the Cultural Revolution.

According to the "deployment from the CCP Central Committee and the provincial CCP Committee," the Hengshui City CCP Committee wrote detailed measures in the notice. For example, "establish strict responsibility systems at all levels," from the City CCP Committee to the countryside, from the inside to the outside of CCP. It tightly linked the future career of officials at all levels to their attitude toward Falun Gong. It clearly said to "convert the minds" of practitioners through brainwashing and to force them to give up their belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." From the notice, it is evident that the authorities are afraid of public appeals. They did everything possible to prevent practitioners from exercising their constitutional right to appeal for justice.

Because of this coercive implication policy, many officials and police illegally stopped the people who went to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. In order to secure their jobs and for some to elevate their political status, they actively participated in the persecution. Practitioners going to government offices (including Beijing) to appeal were illegally arrested and mistreated, including such things as being detained, having their homes ransacked, being fined, sent to forced labor camp, sentenced to jail, tortured and even murdered.

The two notices confirm that the basic human rights of Falun Gong practitioners have been deprived.

These two notices are only a tiny portion of all sorts of secret orders, documents and notices from each level of the initiators of the persecution. We hope that more people will step forward with evidence of the persecution. Together we can expose and stop the genocidal crimes committed by Jiang's regime.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Wenjun is a 38 year old Falun Dafa practitioner from the Gaoxin District, Jilin City. On March 16, 2004, police officers from the Weichang Police Station, Changyi Police Branch, Jilin City arrested and tortured him. On April 16, 2004, police at the Weichang Police Station framed Mr. Li with fabricated evidence and sentenced him to three years in the Jiutai Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp. In the labor camp, Mr. Li suffered from inhuman torture in the "Intensively Monitored Group." Below are facts of Li's suffering and how the officials from different governmental offices rebuffed his family's appeals. The pictures are reenactments of what Mr. Li actually suffered.

In the afternoon on March 16, 2004, five to six plain-clothes police officers from the Jinlin City National Security Brigade arrested Mr. Li Wenjun and two female Falun Dafa practitioners at the Jilin City Bus Station, accusing them of sitting in the wrong seats. The bus was on the way to Harbin. Police officers first searched them at the bus station office, and then took them to the Weichang Police Station. They covered their heads (Fig.1).

After 5 p.m. that day, police officer Bai Gang, Xu Xinge and police trainees from the Weichang Police Station interrogated Mr. Li without any legal justification. As Li had not committed any crime, he refused to cooperate during the interrogation. Therefore, he was beaten until his face was covered with bruises. Officers knocked him to the ground, stepped on his head (Fig.2), and kicked him brutally (Fig.3).

Police officers covered his head with multiple plastic bags, almost suffocating him. Li almost lost his life (Fig.4). Then they bounced Mr. Li's head hard against the wall (Fig.5). After 7 p.m., police officers locked him in a steel cage in the Changyi Police Branch. On March 17, he was sent to the 3^rd Detention Center of Jilin City.

After being brutally tortured, Mr. Li became very weak. He was frequently dizzy and lacked energy. He felt abnormal pains in his lungs and kidneys. He threatened the police with a lawsuit under existing laws and went on a hunger strike to protest the torture. Police officers from the Weichang Police Station fabricated false "evidence" and sentenced him to three years in the Jiutai Forced labor Camp.

Mr. Li Wenjun was sent to the "Intensively Monitored Group" at the Camp. Those practitioners that are "intensively monitored" are cruelly tortured using many torture methods to make them renounce Falun Dafa. The torture includes beatings, sleep deprivation, standing for extended times, cuffing the hands and hanging up at the same time, pinching private parts, digging into the eyes, pricking with needles etc., all of which are illegal.

When Mr. Li went on a hunger strike, Zheng Hailing, the head of the management section, was totally unconcerned about these illegal activities. Instead of forwarding Mr. Li's appeal to higher levels or legal organizations, he tied Mr. Li to a special steel chair and force-fed him heavily-salted corn porridge through his nose. The feeding tube was inserted into Li's stomach, which caused heavy bleeding of his nose and stomach (Fg.6).

The twice per day force-feeding caused Mr. Li to vomit frequently. The torture lasted over 80 days. At the same time, the guards ordered criminal inmates to torture him.

Mr. Li suffered greatly from the torture. His health deteriorated until he was in critical condition. The forced labor camp refused to give him medical attention and prohibited family visits. Guards took him to an isolated area for further torture and withdrew 500 yuan from his bank account. They falsely claimed that they bought nutritious food for him. They also hid or destroyed all medical diagnosis and test records.

The news that Li was tortured to the verge of death caused his parents much worry. They approached many governmental offices for help. For more than a year, Mr. Li's mother, who is almost to 70 years old, appealed to all related government bureaus. She traveled hundreds of kilometers in more than twenty trips to the forced labor camp to see her son, but was rebuffed every time. Zheng Hailing told her, "Appeal anywhere you like! We don't care!

On March 22, 2004, Mr. Li's parents arrived at the Camp and asked again to see their son, but were again rebuffed.

On April 19, Mr. Li' mother talked to police brigade head Du Xinze of the Changyi Police Branch. Du said he knew nothing about the issue and suggested that Mr. Li's mother talk to the Weichang Police Station. At the Weichang Police Station, Mr. Li's mother talked with police officer Yang Zaidi, who was in charge of the case, but Yang just tricked Mr. Li's mother into signing the "Notice of Forced Labor Camp Detention."

On April 20, Mr. Li's mother went to the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp. She was told, "Falun Gong practitioners are under intensive monitoring and family visits are not allowed, especially if the family members are also practitioners. All visitors are forced to denounce Falun Gong before a visit is allowed."

On April 23, Mr. Li's parents feared that their son would be tortured to death, so they appealed to Wang Yunkun, the Communist Party Secretary of Jilin Province. Wang did not show up. Instead, Li Xinhui, deputy head of the provincial "610 Office" and clerk Huang showed up with over ten police officers. The officers held electric batons and wireless speakers in their hands and threatened to arrest Mr. Li's parents. The police officers left only after Li's parents resisted with righteous words.

On May 11, Mr. Li's mother and brother-in-law went to the camp for a visit, but only his brother-in-law was allowed to see him. Mr. Li was pallid, emaciated, and very weak. He said he suffered frequent lung and liver pains, and asked for a physical check up.

On May 21, Mr. Li's mother and a lawyer went to the Camp, but only the lawyer was allowed to meet with him. Mr. Li wanted to sue for the following causes:

1. Police officers tortured him during interrogation
2. The "evidence" mentioned in the "forced labor camp detention sentence" was fabricated.

On May 26, Mr. Li's mother and the lawyer went to the forced labor camp and requested a physical check up of Mr. Li. The Camp acquiesced and said that a test could be done the following day at the Police Department Hospital.

On May 27, when Mr. Li's mother and the lawyer arrived at the Camp, the Camp officers said a physical check needed an approval from the resident procurator at the Camp. The procurator was not at the camp that day, so the officers asked the mother and lawyer to come the following week.

On June 3, 2004, Mr. Li's mother and the lawyer went to the Camp to ask about his physical. Three brigade heads were at the meeting. Head Gao and another brigade head took the lawyer aside for a talk and head Zhao talked with Li's mother. Zhao told her to stop her appeals; otherwise Mr. Li's term might be extended for 1/3 of the current term. The lawyer told Mr. Li's mother that officers threatened him, asked why he took this case and asked how he thought he could win. The lawyer said it's a lawyers' duty and that Mr. Li Wenjun was in the right.

Once the camp leaders realized that their tactics did not work, they asked for a 1,000 yuan deposit, and said that the issue would be discussed later.

On June 14, the lawyer called head Gao to ask about the physical check up. Gao replied that since Mr. Li had been sent to the intensively monitored group, he was no longer his responsibility.

On June 15, Li's mother and the lawyer went to the Camp, but were told that Mr. Li was under intensive monitoring, and no visits were allowed.

In the afternoon on June 15, Mr. Li's mother appealed to the Jiutai Court. Court officers told her that they did not accept cases related to Falun Gong and Mr. Li's mother should appeal locally.

On July 6, Mr. Li' parents went to the Camp and asked to see their son, but were rebuffed. After repeated requests, Mr. Li's parents were told that he was being force-fed three times a day, was given injections, and that he might die at any time.

On July 8, Mr. Li's parents went to the head of the Camp to ask for a meeting with their son. After repeated urging and arguments, the parents met Mr. Li. It was found that he was extremely weak. He told his parents that he was force-fed twice a day. His parents asked that their son be granted emergency medical release, but Zheng Hailing, the head of the management section, told them: "He went on a hunger strike for no reason. Therefore we won't grant the medical emergency release."

On July 19, Mr. Li's parents asked the Camp to release him, but Zheng Hailing said "No."

On July 26, Mr. Li's parents appealed at the Jilin City Procurator. The administrative office asked them to talk to the police department first.

On July 29, Mr. Li's parents wrote a letter to the Appeals Office of Jilin Province but received no response.

On August 4, Mr. Li's parents appealed at the Appeals Office of the Jilin City Police Department, and were told to wait for a phone call within one week.

On August 10, Mr. Li's parents checked with the Appeals Office, and were told that the case number had not come up yet.

On August 13, Mr. Li's parents called the Appeal Office of the police department, and were told to talk with the Changyi Police Branch.

On August 17, Mr. Li's parents went to the Changyi Police Branch, but were told to go to the Forced Labor Camp Department of the City Legal Bureau.

On August 25, Mr. Li's parents went to the forced labor camp, but were refused visitation rights. They went the same day to the head of the City Legal Bureau, but were met by section head Bai and clerk Li, who told Li's parents to go home and wait for a phone call.

On September 13, Mr. Li's mother went to the Camp, but was told Li was in isolation and no visitation was allowed.

In the afternoon on September 13, Mr. Li's mother went to the Legal Bureau and met with section head Bai Liang. When she asked why they had not heard anything. Bai told them that he had called Zheng Hailing of the Forced Labor Camp on August 25, and Zhang said that Mr. Li was no longer on a hunger strike. Mr. Li's mother said he was on hunger strike on September 4 and asked why the officers lied.

On September 17, clerk Li from the Forced Labor Camp department called and said he talked in person with Mr. Li for half an hour at the camp on September 16. Clerk Li said Mr. Li Wenjun was in the recovery stage, and said the details should be discussed with the camp.

On September 21, Mr. Li's parents went to the camp. Zhang Hailing did not allow them to see their son, and did not even give them a copy of the medical diagnosis record.

On October 10, Mr. Li's parents went to the Weichang Police Station to ask for their son's release, but the police head said he was being detained at the forced labor camp, and that it was out of his hands. The police head arranged for Mr. Li's parents to talk to the 610 Office. The 610 Office officers said that they just made policy and did not arrest people. They suggested that Mr. Li's parents go to the police department. When Mr. Li's parents arrived at the Legal Bureau, officers said that the valid appeal date had passed, and asked them to talk with the police department. At the Review Office of the City Police Department, officers told them the acceptance date had passed, and asked the parents to appeal at the Appeals Office of the police department.

On October 18, Mr. Li's parents went to the Camp to request a meeting with their son. Zheng Hailing refused.

On October 24, Mr. Li's parents went to the Appeals Office of the Jinlin People's Congress. Officers accepted a letter and asked them to go home and wait.

On October 26, Mr. Li's parents called section head Bai at the forced labor camp and asked for an explanation of why they could not visit their son. Bai said he would check and get back to them.

On November 11, the parents checked at the Appeals Office of the People's Congress. Clerk Liu said the case has been transferred to the Forced Labor Camp Management Committee in the Legal Bureau. Therefore, the parents hurried there. Clerk Yu met them and said he had read the case, did think it was unfair, but that it was out of their area. Yu arranged for Li's parents to talk with head Wang of the Legal Execution Supervision Department of the City Government.

On November 12, Mr. Li's parents met with Wang. Wang said that the review period had passed and asked Li's parents to talk with the City Court. The City Court said since the review period had passed, and it was out of the law's domain. They no longer had any responsibility.

On November 15, Mr. Li's parents went to the camp and asked to see their son. Zheng Hailing did not give permission. Zheng also refused to give the parents the physical test report.

On November 23, Mr. Li's mother went to the Jilin City Police Department to check on whether her son's case was under review and was told that it was out of their domain. Therefore, she went to the Forced Labor Camp Management Committee at the Legal Bureau of Jilin City, where she talked with provincial Police Bureau staff.

On November 25, 2004, she went to the Review Section of the provincial Police Bureau, and was told that the due date had passed and the case would no longer be under consideration. The same day, Mr. Li's mother appealed to the head of the Forced Labor Camp Bureau. The head told her that Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to visit a camp detainee. The rule came from the Bureau. Anyone who did not agree with this rule should appeal to the Procurator and the False Case Correction Office of the People's Congress.

On November 26, Mr. Li's mother sent appeal materials to the Appeals Office of the Jilin Province Procurator, but the office refused to accept the materials.

On December 10, when Mr. Li's mother called the responsible Jilin Province Bureau, the staff refused to accept the case. Mr. Li' mother then went to the police department, the Legal Bureau and the Jilin City Procurator Office. None of the officials accepted responsibility. The Jilin City Procurator said that the police department had created the problem, and that the procurator did not take care of Falun Gong related issues.

On December 15, Mr. Li's mother visited the Case Monitoring Office at the Jilin City Court, but officers said they did not accept Falun Gong related cases, and that she should appeal to the province or to Beijing Central government.

On December 24 and 27, she went to the Camp to ask to meet her son, but was rebuffed. Zheng Hailing simply refused her request.

In October 2004, Mr. Li's father called the Mayor's Office. The officers on the phone said the city government does not take care of Falun Gong related issue.

Mr. Li's parents got the run around wherever they went.

The following are some paragraphs from the letter.

"My name is Li Wenjun. I have been detained at the Jiutai Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp since April 16, 2004. I suffered serious mental and physical injuries because of the unlawful detention. If it were not for the persecution, I would live a normal life, and contribute to the prosperity of society with my hard work. In this vicious persecution, millions of Falun Gong practitioners who believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance have been defamed and mistreated. The Falun Gong exercises are prohibited. Yet, Falun Gong was responsible for millions of people attaining good health through the practice."

"Since I am persistent in my belief in Falun Dafa, and want to let people know what Falun Dafa really is, I appealed to the government and clarified the truth to people. But I was arrested and detained. Kindness will always be kindness. Even though I suffered a lot, I will still tell people that Falun Dafa is good. The true hope of humankind is to wake up to the true kind nature of a human being."

"The reasons why I do not agree with my sentence are as follows:

1. My moral level is higher than those who arrested and sentenced me. As a Falun Dafa practitioner, they have no right to determine my fate.
2. Police officers illegally arrested me and tortured me during the interrogation. As law enforcers, they broke the law and violated my human rights.
3. The forced labor camp sentencing is not based on any legal precedent.
4. Although suffering torture, I appealed under existing law and went on peaceful hunger strike to resist the persecution. The forced labor camp did not report my case to upper management or submit my appeal to the respective officials. On the contrary, they sent me into the intensively monitored group for more serious persecution. They brutally force-fed me twice a day for over 80 days, which affected my health. Officers in the camp also coerced criminal detainees to torture me.
5. As I was brutally beaten and tortured over a long time, I suffer from frequent dizziness, as well as liver and lung pain. My family requested a physical to be done, but the camp officers delayed it, and did not turn over copies of the diagnosis record to my family.
6. During the period when I was force-fed, the management section in the Camp withdrew 500 yuan from my account without my permission. This kind of unlawful behavior should be stopped and investigated.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Su Aigui was a Falun Gong practitioner from Hushi Township, Tianmen City. She started practicing Falun Gong before 1999. Prior to practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Su suffered from several acute illnesses. After she started practicing, her illnesses miraculously disappeared. For this reason, Su Aigui always said that it was Master's grace that gave her a second life. After the start of the persecution in 1999, she and her husband persisted in the practice of Falun Gong. Because of this, the local police continuously came to harass and interfere with the couple, to compel them to renounce the practice. Under that situation, the couple had no choice but to abandon their home and relocate. Ms. Su and her husband supported themselves by collecting and recycling waste materials. As if making them homeless wasn't enough, the police still sent out parties to search high and low for their whereabouts.

In 2001, a police officer caught Ms. Su's husband on the street. He was sent back to Tianmen City and imprisoned in the local detention center, where he was brutally interrogated. Unable to bear the torture, he told them the whereabouts of their temporary dwelling. Later, the police also arrested Su Aigui and confiscated her Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials.

On the second day of her arrest in the detention center, two policemen interrogated Su Aigui as to where she had gotten the Falun Gong materials. When Su Aigui did not reply, the police viciously hit her face and ear until she lost consciousness. When Ms. Su regained consciousness, she firmly warned them that she would expose their crimes. Those police officers thought that they could intensify the punishment by imprisoning her in the "trumpet cell" [a tiny cell where mobility is restricted to reform difficult prisoners]. When the policeman tried to drag her into the trumpet cell, she caught onto his leg and held on tightly without budging and boldly shouted: "This is not a place for me to stay; I did not commit any crime to deserve this." Somehow, even after a half-hour struggle, the police could not get her to let go. They had no choice but to abandon the idea and send Ms. Su back to her cell.

Several days after this incident, the 610 Office Chief Zheng Xianjie directed several officers to relocate Ms. Su to the Pei Township Police Station and confine her in a small house, where she was tied up and hung from the window with only the tip of her toes touching the ground. In this position, seven to eight police officers took turns beating and torturing her for an entire day, trying to get her to talk. Su Aigui remained steadfast and resolute in her belief in Master. She was unmoved and didn't reveal anything. From then on, the police abandoned the idea of torturing her to force a confession.

One day, the supervisor at the detention center ordered all the inmates to get their hair cut and photographs taken. Su Aigui shared her understanding with fellow practitioners in the prison that the requirement was meant for criminals, and since they were not criminals, they should not comply with the request. However, at the time of the photo session, some practitioners complied with the request. Su Aigui became worried, so she spoke up: "Do not bow to the evil, do not comply with the evil's request, do not compromise and promise anything to the evil."

When the police supervisor Li Qune tried to get her to take a photograph, Su Aigui resolutely refused. Consequently, the police began hitting her with rubber clubs; each lash would leave a bruise on her body. In this way, in front of almost 200 people, Li Qune thrashed Mr. Su all over until her whole body was covered with green and purple bruises. Finally, he dragged her in front of the camera to have her picture taken. Su Aigui refused to comply by closing her eyes in front of the camera. Without her cooperation, there was nothing they could do. The police finally gave up. Unable to get anything out of her, after a month of imprisonment, Su Aigui was released. Her husband, however, was sentenced to a labor camp.

Around the time of the Sixteenth National Congress in 2003, the authorities feared that Su Aigui might go to Beijing to appeal. They had the police break into her home at night. They abducted her and took her to the police station. At the time of the abduction, Ms. Su's elderly 90-year-old mother-in-law was lying in bed. Her 75-year-old disabled mother tearfully begged the police and said: "Who will look after us, who will provide food and water for us after you take her?" The police did not seem to care. Soon after arriving at the detention center, Su Aigui began a hunger strike to protest her arrest. After a few days, the police officers instructed several inmates to handcuff her to the door panel and to force-feed her with vinegar and hot pepper water. She was continuously beaten during the entire force-feeding process. The force-feeding continued for six days. While facing this severe persecution, Su Aigui sternly warned the perpetrators: "Whatever you have said and whatever deeds you have committed, I do not acknowledge them, but none of the wrong deeds you've done shall be forgotten!" After nine days of torture, the prison doctor thought she could not live through a few more days, and only then did the officers arrange for her to be sent home.

After Ms. Su got home, her mother also became bedridden because of the shock and trauma she went through, and she could not care for Su Aigui. As she continued to maintain her Fa study and to practice the exercises, Ms. Su began to recover. Unfortunately, however, because of the severe persecution, she had difficulty eating. Her constitution remained weak, and Su Aigui died on January 7, 2005.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Han Shumin, 68 years old, lived in Taisheng Village of Qingshan Township in Boli County, Heilongjiang Province. After practicing Falun Dafa, her various chronic diseases such intestinal inflammation, hepatitis, gall stones, inflammation of the vertebrae, and coronary heart disease all disappeared.

Since she knew how great Dafa is, she often told her relatives and friends about the wonders of Dafa. She clarified the facts and distributed flyers. Police and other lawless people often went to her home to harass and intimidate her, and she felt extremely pressured. On March 18 of 2003, she was in her daughter's home when police jumped into their yard from a neighbor's home. They shouted and tried to break into the house. The old lady was scared and fell to the floor. She lay there for more than an hour and could not stand up. After this incident, her health became worse and worse. She died on April 22, 2004.

Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Yanhai, male, 62, was an associate professor at the Chongqing Social Work Vocational College. Both he and his wife became practitioners in February 1997. During the winter break of 2000, Yanhai went to Beijing to clarify the truth and validate Falun Dafa. After that, the police frequently broke into his home. Far worse, his wife, Zhang Luyuan, was arrested many times and imprisoned at Chongqing Maojiashan Female Forced Labor Camp.

There, she was subjected to brainwashing sessions and other brutal tactics.

The authorities have constantly harassed Yang's family, and the emotional anguish they had to endure is hard for most to imagine. Yang Yanhai was persecuted to death on January 4, 2004. His last words on that day were, "Teacher is good, Dafa is good, and Truth, Compassion and Forbearance are good."

(Clearwisdom.net) Attending the Fa conference in New York City marked my sixth trip to the United States this year, and my third time clarifying the truth in Manhattan.

I forgot to bring the invitation letter issued from the Fa conference. When I arrived at Customs before my connecting flight to New York City, I was taken to an office where a young policewoman questioned me. She asked some preliminary questions and then immediately got to the point of how much my monthly income was. I did not give her an answer right away. She then asked, "How much was your airplane ticket to the United States?" I told her it was between $500-$600. She then asked for an explanation of why I had made six trips this year to the United States.

I told her my first trip was to participate in the Year of China art performance. My second trip was related to protest activities regarding the former Chinese Chairman Jiang Zemin, who orchestrated the persecution of Falun Gong in China. My third trip.... Before I could finish, she interrupted me, "Who paid you?" I was surprised by this question. I replied that, "I paid all the expenses myself, of course." She looked at my passport and said to me in a stern voice, "If you cannot clearly explain your true purpose of coming to the United States, you're not leaving this office." Then she stood up and left. I thought, "I am doing the most righteous thing. Master is with me, and no one can stop me." I started to send forth righteous thoughts.

I thought that it was not coincidental that I came here. Falun Dafa practitioners are duty-bound to clarify the facts to the public. I took out some truth-clarifying materials and VCDs from my bag, and turned on my digital camera to locate some photos of large-scale group practices and torture exhibits. About twenty minutes later, the woman officer returned. She asked in a grave tone, "Can you tell me?"

I looked at her and said, "I came to the United States six times to support peaceful protests over the human rights situation in China. I'm a Falun Gong practitioner. Like many practitioners in America and around the world, I simply want to tell others what is going on in China. Falun Gong is a practice of five sets of exercises and teaches the principle of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. Practitioners have introduced the practice to over sixty countries. Since former Chinese President Jiang Zemin started the suppression five years ago, over 1,000 people have died from the persecution, and many have been tortured in prison. We came here to help more people know about the facts and appeal to the kindhearted people to help us end this persecution.

"Who paid you?" again she asked. I again answered, "Of course, myself." She said, "This is inconceivable. How could I believe you?" I looked into her eyes and said, "Yes, to many, this is inconceivable. But when you have heard that in China, often everyday, Falun Gong practitioners are dying from torture for refusing to give up their belief, and many more are living in pain and misery. Which are you going to choose, money or life?" I was filled with emotion and tears came down my face. The room was in dead silence. Nobody spoke a word. Everyone was looking at me.

I suddenly raised my head and looked at the clock on the wall. It was 2:45 p.m. There was only fifteen minutes left before the flight's departure for New York. I stood up and said, "I'm sorry, but I have to leave." The policewoman picked up my passport and stamped two marks on it. Then, she said in a low voice, "I guess you might not have enough time, maybe you could..." "Thank you!" I extended my hand to say goodbye to her and handed her the truth-clarifying materials, "I hope we may get support from all of you as well." When I ran to the main ticket counter, it was barely one minute before the takeoff. "Is it possible?" I handed over my ticket. The attendant located my flight from the computer terminal and smiled, "You're lucky. The flight has been delayed for an hour and ten minutes."

When I arrived at the gate, I remained excited. It occurred to me how different we are from others. We are beings created by Dafa.

(Clearwisdom.net) I'm a Falun Gong practitioner from Heilongjiang Province. Before I obtained the Fa I had a lot of illnesses. I felt pain all over my body because of rheumatism and was weak due to neurasthenia gravis. I had a massive hemorrhage because of various gynecological illnesses, symptoms of brain thrombus [stroke], nephritis [kidney disease], hemorrhoids and lymph node illness. Surgery did not help at all. In order to cure all these illnesses my family spent all the money we had. I was so weak that I could not do anything. In my workplace I was well known for always being ill. I had practiced Qigong for five years, but that did not help either.

In 1998 I was fortunate to hear about Dafa. At first, in order to cure my illnesses, I only focused on practicing the exercises every day. Later the veteran practitioners told me that I should not just practice the exercises, but that I also needed to read the book to study the Fa, because Falun Gong is a practice for cultivating both the mind and body. Though I was illiterate I started to read the book with a great deal of effort. I saw vivid light on the book. With encouragement from Teacher, I gradually learned to read. Now I'm able to read all the Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials.

Three months later all my illnesses were gone. I had only obtained the Fa in 1998. Soon, in 1999, the persecution started. Why am I still so determined? This is because I have benefited from Dafa! In the past I spent so much money, but none of my illnesses were cured; however, after I learned Falun Gong, all my illnesses were gone without spending a cent or taking one tablet of medicine. Teacher eliminated all my illness karma. I was freed from the serious illnesses and I felt my body was so light with good health. I resembled a disabled person before, who could not do anything; but now my children and family no longer have to worry about me. Furthermore, I'm doing all that I should do for others. All this cannot be bought with money.

As I have disciplined myself according to the requirements of Dafa, I've been getting along well with my son and daughter-in-law. They both are very supportive of my practice and never interfere with me. So, I am able to devote myself totally to promoting Dafa and to cultivation.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang's faction started to persecute Falun Gong. The head of our local police station came to my home and said to me, "If you want to practice, just do it at home. Do not cause trouble to our work." I did not have a deep understanding of the Fa at the time, so it did not occur to me to step forward to clarify the truth. I accepted Teacher's new articles and truth-clarifying materials and continued to study the Fa and practice the exercises at home. I also knew that I should be firm, but I had an attachment to fear. Besides, as both my sons work in the police station, I was afraid that my practice might cause trouble for them. I could not let go of this selfishness and sentiment, so I failed to step forward.

In 2000, I met a fellow practitioner from Jilin Province. She said to me, "Teacher has endured so much for us, taking all our karma upon himself. We should not hide at home and passively endure the persecution. We should go out to validate the Fa." Suddenly I realized what I should do. I organized a group Fa study and brought fellow practitioners to my home to listen to the tapes of Teacher's lectures, with the result that my attachment of fear was greatly reduced.

Towards the end of 2000, I studied Teacher's article "Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America" and further understood what I should do. I took the train, along with three fellow practitioners, to go to Beijing to validate the Fa. However we were identified when the train arrived at Shanhaiguan Station. The conductor and security guards cooperated with the policemen at Shanhaiguan Station. They confiscated our money as well as our train tickets. They did not find my banner. They locked us up together. In our room were fellow practitioners from Shenyang, Changchun, Sichuan Province, Hulan, Tieli, Jiamusi City and many other regions. The policemen interrogated us, ordering us to tell our names and home addresses. I saw that the practitioners who told them their addresses were all put into a police van and taken away, one after another, by personnel from the local "610 Office". The policemen beat and dragged practitioners, and those who unfurled a banner and shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" were all pushed into the van while being punched and kicked.

While witnessing this we shouted together, "Falun Dafa is good!" The policemen then locked the door. So, we opened the window and shouted toward the outside, "Falun Dafa is good!" People on the street came over to watch. A policeman was so scared that he started to sweat. He came into the room and pleaded with me, "Granny, please stop shouting. At my age I should be your son. You are so elderly, so please do not shout! Please sit down!" I said, "If you want us to stop shouting, you have to promise me three things: First, you must acknowledge that Falun Dafa is good; Second, you must not beat Falun Dafa practitioners when they are arrested; Third, you must let us out of here." He hurriedly said, "Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa is good. Isn't this good enough?" While he was speaking, he sounded like he wanted to cry and continued, "I will call you mother if you want me to. Who knows how you have offended Jiang! He is the one who ordered us to arrest you. We are doing this for the sake of keeping our jobs! If you want to practice, you just go home to practice! Nowadays there is no way to reason with anyone." Then he hurriedly went out.

At mealtime they told us to count off [do a head-count]. Our hearts were together; none of us would eat! In the room opposite ours were more than twenty people who all did a head-count. In the end, all of us practitioners who refused to do the head-count or eat were released.

In May 2001, I moved to a new place and realized there were things I should do in that area. I couldn't get in touch with local practitioners, though, so, among other things, I practiced writing, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa" at home. When I thought I was good at writing those words, I bought a box of chalk and went out to write them on structures where people could see them. [Translator's note: In China, the government controls the media and blocks all channels of appeal, so practitioners have to write in public places to clarify the truth.] Day or night, I wrote and taped the words on electricity poles and on walls. Police cars often zoomed by me. After I got in touch with local practitioners, we went out to hang banners and distribute flyers as a group, and we never stopped validating Dafa.

In the summer of 2002, a fellow practitioner from my former work unit who had just been released from prison asked me for truth clarification materials. I got a bag of Fa lectures and flyers for the practitioner. At the same time, I prepared a set of truth-clarifying materials as well as VCDs, audiocassettes and flyers for the local police station. However, I bumped into the chief of the police station on my way and he took me to the police station.

At the office he wanted to know the source of the materials and to whom I was going to deliver them. I didn't answer his questions, kept sending forth righteous thoughts and I asked Teacher to help me eliminate the evil elements behind the officer. I thought, "The perpetrators are quite vicious and some fellow practitioners still haven't stepped forward. I must protect fellow practitioners and not cause any losses to Dafa."

When he asked, "Where did you get the flyers? Who are you delivering them to?" I said, "I brought them for you." He said, "Why should I read this?" A young officer came in and asked me to go to another room for further interrogation. I didn't move; instead, I smiled at him and sent forth righteous thoughts. The police chief started to flip through the truth clarification materials. When the young police officer saw this, he left quietly. I sent forth righteous thoughts as I taped Fa-rectification verses to their desk. The police chief thought I was going to snatch the packet of truth clarification materials, so he stood up and spread his arms to block me. I erected my hand and sent forth righteous thoughts. He asked me, "So, you are still practicing!" I told him about the facts and exposed Jiang and his followers' crimes of persecuting Dafa practitioners. I said, "None of you dare to speak about Jiang's crimes and scandals except us Dafa practitioners. Jiang is still alive and in power, and that is why you are following him. You would have treated me differently if he were gone. Don't help him to commit crimes; save yourself!" The police chief eventually became clear-headed and released me.

I do not mean to show myself off in writing this. I simply want to remind fellow practitioners not to be afraid, because if we are, the evil will take advantage of our fear and manipulate the police, perpetrators and deceived people to persecute us.

During the Sixteenth Party Congress in 2002, personnel from the local police station, the police station in my former work unit area and leaders of my former work unit came at me together. They took turns knocking on my door and phoning me at all hours. I sat at home and sent forth righteous thoughts with great concentration. I sent forth righteous thoughts on the hour every hour, 22 times a day. They walked around the house and checked for my footprints, to see if I had left. I heard everything from inside my home. They eventually left after failing to get in the house.

On one occasion, without any police, the leader of my former work unit, the head of the local mine, a section head and the accountant came to my home. I thought, "Since I was retired, I did not have an opportunity to go to my work unit to clarify the truth to them. Now is the time to do so." I gave each one of them a packet of materials, including VCDs and audiocassettes. I treated them kindly and clarified the truth to them from my heart. During the whole time, from when they came until they left, none of them said a bad word about Dafa. I used to be the most inefficient worker at work; I was a widow and had to take care of several children. After the head of the local mine listened to what I said, he called out my name and said, "How come you know so much? You are even talking about the universe!" Since they got to know the truth, they never bothered me again.

During the Sixteenth Party Congress, the perpetrators searched and illegally arrested many practitioners. With Teacher's protection and powerful righteous thoughts, the perpetrators not only didn't get anything from me but many of them learned the truth.

After I studied Teacher's articles, I felt the urgency even more to clarify the truth and offer people salvation. There is no time to waste. Offering people salvation is as urgent as putting out a fire that will kill people. In the comprehensive truth-clarification, I always remind myself first on all occasions, "Give up selfishness; it's important to save people." Then I send forth righteous thoughts while clarifying the truth to strangers.

Once I talked to a middle-aged woman and clarified the truth to her. She said, "Although I don't know much about Falun Gong, my husband was in Beijing in 1989. He saw with his own eyes that the soldiers killed many students with tanks and automatic machine guns during the June 4th Massacre. The blood was running like streams. Yet the state-run TV broadcast lied and claimed the students burnt the soldiers to death, in order to deceive the people. Actually many people know the truth about the massacre and that the official TV is full of lies."

Once I clarified the truth to vendors when buying steamed buns. I told them, "Please, remember that Falun Dafa is good." Another day I went to the same market to buy meat. I approached a stand and asked, "Is this meat fresh?" The young man answered, "Aren't you the lady who told us the other day 'Falun Dafa is good'? How can I trick you?" I realized that the reason he said it in public in the presence of others was to promote Dafa and to help me eliminate fear. My efforts in clarifying the truth were not in vain. I walked my path little by little in an open and dignified manner.

I do not mean to praise myself by writing all this, but to validate Dafa and save people with my firsthand experiences. No matter what we do, we must regard the Fa as the top priority and not mix ordinary people's things in our mind. I have encountered many apparently dangerous situations, but managed to emerge unscathed. Some fellow practitioners think I wasn't persecuted because I have a son who works in the police system, to which I disagree. I think this opinion is acknowledging the old force's arrangements and at the same time negating Dafa's power. In fact, Teacher mentioned numerous times that Dafa practitioners must treat the persecution with righteous thoughts. Teacher also told us repeatedly to study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth.

When reflecting upon my cultivation path, I realize that I have encountered and overcome many difficulties on my journey as described by Teacher, "With no attachment to anything, the path underfoot is naturally clear," (from Hong Yin II, provisional translation) and that is why I'm able to be more clearheaded, more mature and more diligent in this time of Fa rectification.

(Clearwisdom.net) In the article "My Version of a 'Stick Wake Up'", Teacher again reminds practitioners who have still been unable to let go of human notions and attachments that,

"Master sees that danger is already approaching you. I don't acknowledge the old forces' arrangements, and that includes this persecution, but I knew that the old factors who would be impacted by Fa-rectification would do this or that, it was just a matter of time and of which ones."

In our local area, several older practitioners have been interfered with or persecuted by the dark minions to various degrees. All kinds of confusion and misconceptions occupy their minds, causing some to struggle with illness-karma; and some to always feel tired, with their minds not clear when studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts or doing the exercises. Some have even lost their lives.

Dafa practitioners from neighboring regions generally have a clear understanding of these occurrences, and they realize that it is interference from the dark minions. These practitioners have been sending forth righteous thoughts to help eliminate the dark minions. Here, we'd like to discuss how we should understand such interference from the perspective of the Fa.

Those who have not let go of their fundamental human attachments and don't have a clear understanding of Fa-rectification have not cultivated diligently. They miss many opportunities to improve their xinxing. As a result, the old forces take advantage of these practitioners, and with the excuse of "getting rid of their attachments," cause interference and make it difficult for them to overcome. The more the practitioner cannot let go of his/her attachments, the more serious the tribulations will be. In the end, some practitioners can't overcome their tribulations and this allows the old forces to succeed.

These practitioners are also doing the three things that practitioners should do, but it is out of their own human notions. Their xinxing and understanding of the Fa fall short of the standards of genuine practitioners.

Why do the dark minions dare to interfere with these practitioners? It's because these practitioners usually have strong human notions. They have a complex social network in which their families sometimes make it difficult for them. This in turn generates many attachments. Basically, these practitioners have to overcome the obstacle of a predestined life cycle. Once their righteous thoughts are not strong enough, the dark minions will take their lives away. This can easily generate a negative impact on Dafa when such interference occurs, so these practitioners should pay special attention to this issue.

There is another issue with these practitioners. Whenever problems arise, they don't look at and understand the problems from the perspective of the Fa. Rather, they view the problems with a human mindset. In the end, they only defend things of ordinary society instead of the Fa. In "Digging Out the Roots" from Essentials For Further Advancement, Teacher talked about the issue of perspective. However, these practitioners have not studied the Fa thoroughly, so, whenever problems come up, they will use their human notions, instead of the Fa, to try to solve the problems. They always miss the correct path.

Those who are still hiding at home, not willing to come out to clarify the truth, have this particular problem. If we cannot look at things from the perspective of the Fa, we will surely deviate from the correct path.

Then there are some practitioners who have been through forced brainwashing and become muddle-headed. The authorities misinterpret Dafa on purpose and tell the practitioners to "maintain and harmonize the Fa at the ordinary people's level," to "learn from Lei Feng," etc. They want the practitioners to treat Fa-rectification as an ordinary people's issue. As a result, some of these practitioners start to think with human mindsets and deviate from the Fa. They begin to move towards the wrong side and eventually "confess" that they have been wrong in their practice of Falun Dafa. Thus they "enlighten" on an evil path. These practitioners will then be "transformed."

From many of Teacher's lectures, we should understand that as Fa-rectification Dafa practitioners, we should cultivate while fully conforming to ordinary society's way of living. We should let go of our human notions while doing the "three things" well, clarify the truth, and save sentient beings, so that we can accomplish our historical missions and pave the way for future cultivators. This is the only correct path that we should follow as Fa-rectification practitioners. If we can strictly follow this path, the old forces' arrangements can be completely negated. That way we are not just paying lip service. All the tribulations that the old forces have arranged for us are interference and persecution. Teacher does not acknowledge them, so we should absolutely defy them as well, and only follow the cultivation paths that Teacher has arranged for us. Silently putting up with such persecution and interference is actually going along the path arranged by the old forces.

How do we handle such problems? We should help these practitioners study and learn the Fa well. Help them look inwards, find their fundamental attachments and get rid of them while doing the three things well. Help these fellow practitioners to follow the correct cultivation path.

Since the Chinese communist party (CCP) took power in China, it has forced its own views upon the Chinese people, and has succeeded in convincing every Chinese citizen to look at things exactly as the CCP wants him/her to. People then think that the CCP is always right, and that anything against it is wrong. Throughout its evil rule in China, the CCP has carried out numerous political movements to maintain its power. Each political movement has resulted in the death of countless innocent people.

If one examined the CCP's point of view, one would think that killing innocent people is good, and that lying is ok too. To rule China, the CCP has continuously deceived people and covered up its evil nature. The CCP has consistently misled the Chinese people, as it has already confessed to the public that, "Thousands of lies make a truth." When Jiang took power, such evil manipulation of power reached its peak. The whole crackdown on Falun Gong was based on lies. This crackdown has poisoned minds all around the world. It's inevitable that the CCP, with its evil nature, would slander Falun Gong--the most righteous Way in the universe. Those that attack righteousness must be evil.

We are Falun Dafa practitioners. The Fa-rectification has renewed our very existence, and we must view all things, including ourselves, from the Fa's perspective. Only by doing that can we always see clearly the nature of our problems when they arise, and distinguish between good and evil. We can then follow our correct path in cultivation.

(Clearwisdon.net) The Clearwisdom website has published many practitioners' articles regarding the understanding of the Party's true evil nature. I realized I should from the depth of my heart eliminate the residual poison that the evildoing Party had instilled in me over the past several decades. So, when I sent forth righteous thoughts, I added a thought to eliminate the "evildoing Party" and "evil spirit." When my righteous thoughts emerged, I heard a voice in my head, "Your father is also a Party member." I immediately tried to destroy it with my righteous thoughts. The second day when I was sending forth righteous thoughts, another sentence came into my mind, "It was Chairman Mao who brought you up." I once again tried to eliminate it.

Thinking back over my several decades of education under the Party's culture of lies, deceit, and violence, the above experiences demonstrated that there are often sudden appearances of Party-inspired language, songs or poems in my daily life. It is just as Master said in, "Melt Into the Fa,"

"A person is like a container, and he is whatever he contains."

Several decades of mind-poisoning messages propagated by this evildoing Party have existed in my mind even though what this Party is trying to make people believe violates the universe's characteristics. I am a Dafa practitioner during the Fa-rectification period! I should not allow the evil spirits to continue to exist in my own dimension.

When I finished writing this article, I suddenly understood the root of many of my bad thoughts that have been difficult to eliminate in my cultivation. I must eliminate them with my righteous thoughts and restore my true nature.

(Clearwisdom.net) I have looked deep into my heart. There hides the hope that the world will bring justice for Falun Dafa. There hides the hope that some leader of the Chinese Communist Party will make the correct choice and redress Falun Dafa. However, Teacher already told us,

"With a Dafa like this, how could so many magnificent future Gods, magnificent Dafa disciples, who've been forged through Dafa cultivation put their hope in some ordinary person? Aren't we insulting ourselves? Could human beings control Gods?" ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

Teacher also said,

"when hardly any of the evil remains in Fa-rectification as Dafa disciples validate the Fa with righteous thoughts and clean out the evil, and as the world's people begin to see things clearly, you are putting your hope for an end to the persecution in ordinary people." ("In Fa-Rectification Your Thoughts Have to be Righteous, Not Human")

When I heard that someone in the Chinese Communist Party was trying to restore Falun Dafa's good name, I felt the urgency to tell the news to everyone.

Later, at the end of "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York (Questions and Answers Section, Part III)," Teacher said,

"Whether the verdict on Dafa is overturned by people or not, whether a new situation comes about or not, whatever the case, Dafa disciples should still save the sentient beings that need to be saved. Keep doing what you should do all the way until Consummation!"

Only then did I suddenly realize: aren't Teacher's words to see how our hearts are moved? Would the future enlightened beings really need anything from a small group's leader in this tiny universe?

We should do our best to assist in the Fa-rectification. Let us study the Fa well. Let us fulfill our grand vows we made before history, with strong righteous thoughts and immense compassion.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the 25th of January, Czech and Slovak Falun Gong practitioners visited the south-Moravian city of Znojmo to promote Falun Gong and help people know about the genocide being waged against people who practice Falun Gong in China.

Practitioners made use of the peaceful atmosphere of this city and took time to thoroughly explain to people what Falun Gong is and why it is being so cruelly persecuted. Although this was the first time citizens of Znojmo had heard about Falun Gong, they knew a lot about the terror that the Chinese communist party has used to persecute its own people over the last fifty years. This made it easy for them to imagine how evil the persecution of people who practice Falun Gong and follow the values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance must be.

Practitioners also started to tell people the story of Chinese citizen Mrs. Qui Mingua, whose daughter studies in a college in Switzerland. She was kidnapped after her house was ransacked, and she was arrested because she practices Falun Gong. Her human rights were abused and she was not even allowed a legal representative. When people learned about this and the torture methods practitioners are exposed to, they signed a petition calling for the immediate release of Mrs. Minghua from prison. On this occasion, over ninety people expressed their wish for Mrs. Mingua to be set free.

There are three newspapers in Znojmo: Znojemsko, Znojemsk¨¦ Listy and the regional newspaper Rovnost. Reporters from each of these newspapers came to learn about Falun Gong and what is happening in China. Some already knew all about it. For those who didn't, as soon as they heard the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution, they stepped into the queue of people waiting to sign the petition.

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 22, 2005, despite the chilly weather, Falun Gong practitioners in and around the Frankfurt area held a Falun Dafa information day activity in the city centre.

Frankfurt is an important junction and financial centre in Europe. Very large numbers of tourists pass through the city every day. Falun Gong practitioners in Frankfurt wanted to take advantage of this to tell the people in all of Europe and even the whole world, "Falun Dafa is good!" They exposed the Jiang regime's brutal crimes against Falun Gong in Mainland China and called on the people to pay attention to this and help to stop these atrocities.

(Clearwisdom.net) At 8:30 a.m. on January 26, 2005, the celebration of Australia National Day began in the city of Adelaide. To help more local people learn about Falun Dafa, practitioners from the Adelaide area participated in this celebration, which was hosted by the city government.

The parade from the downtown area to Victoria Square was the most anticipated program among a series of celebration activities. With Celestial Maidens in Tang Dynasty costumes holding lotus flowers in their hands and performing the fan dance, the Falun Gong practitioners' procession was eye-catching. On the float, practitioners with yellow exercise suits or Tang Dynasty costumes demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. Spectators applauded warmly when the procession passed.

(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday January 15, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from twenty countries held a large-scale parade through central London. In addition to displaying the widespread recognition of Falun Gong around the world and the benefits that Falun Gong has brought to society, the parade also intended to expose the ongoing persecution that the regime in China has been waging against Falun Gong for the past five years. Latvian Falun Gong practitioners also attended the parade, hoping to raise awareness of the international society to Jiang's persecution against Falun Gong.

The Baltic News Service covered this event on January 17. The report said more than eight hundred Falun Gong practitioners from twenty-plus countries attended the parade.

The purpose of the parade was to urge international society to pay attention to the crimes that Jiang's regime has committed against Falun Gong practitioners, and to emphasize the necessity of bringing the leading perpetrator Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese President, to justice. Nine Falun Gong practitioners from Latvia participated in the parade.

The participants held posters, which read "Rescue Falun Gong Practitioners being persecuted in China", "Stop persecuting Falun Gong" and "Bring Jiang to justice". They came from various countries, including the USA, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Israel, UK, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Germany and Sweden.

Maria, a Falun Gong practitioner from Boston, USA, told a reporter that participating in this parade has a special meaning for her because her original nationality is Polish. At the age of three, Maria's mother was sent to a concentration camp by the Nazis when Germany occupied Poland during World War II. Maria commented, "It means a lot to me to bring the perpetrators of another genocidal persecution to justice."

Immediately after the parade, Falun Gong practitioners lined up to form a "Great Wall of Courage". They demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and the various forms of torture that China is applying to Falun Gong practitioners. They also displayed a "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" banner and several other banners to appeal for an immediate end to the persecution.

On Saturday evening, many practitioners, including those from Latvia, attended a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in London. The London Chinese Embassy appeal by local Falun Gong practitioners has now been ongoing for over 2 years, 24 hours a day, and has received widespread media coverage. Practitioners demanded the Chinese Government to stop persecuting Falun Gong and punish the perpetrators severely. On the following day, an international experience-sharing conference was held in London.

Facts of the Persecution

1. Perpetrators at the Shuangcheng City Brainwashing Class Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners and Deceive the Public

On January 17, 2001, some residents of Shuangcheng City who practiced and used to practice Falun Gong were abducted and taken to the Qiulin Company in Shuangcheng City for a brainwashing class. In the evening they were body-searched. They were not allowed to wear shoes, were forced to stand barefoot, and later had to sleep on the concrete floor.

Several days before the Chinese New Year, a dozen practitioners held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. They included Chi Yueling, Cheng Xianqin, Yi Guoqing, Wang Benying, Wang Yingjie, Men Shengying, Si Guiqin, Wei Zongling, Wei Zongying and Zhang Liyan. On the fifth day of the hunger strike, they were brutally force-fed. The perpetrators poured a large glass of milk into the practitioners' mouths so quickly that the practitioners choked and almost suffocated. They also force-fed the practitioners an unknown drug and concentrated saline solution. Chi Yueling had one tooth knocked out and two other teeth loosened and 66-year-old practitioner Ms. Wang Benying bled from her nose.

Practitioner Zhang Liyan was having her period and the perpetrators violently pounded on her abdomen until she lost consciousness. Her face was black and blue, foam came out of her nose and her body was cold. She has not been able to stand up since then, and she coughed up blood for a whole day.

Practitioner Yi Guoqing was beaten until he was dizzy and his vision blurry. Practitioner Wang Yingjie's face was disfigured from the beating; his nose bled and he coughed up blood for one-and-a-half months; 66-year-old practitioner Wang Benying lost sight in one eye and the other eye has had blurred vision from torture.

In a local TV news program, the perpetrators shamelessly claimed that they treated the practitioners very well. A young practitioner, Ms. Zhang Jianhui, was beaten until her face turned black and blue, and her leg had blood clots from being kicked; practitioners Ms. Li Qun, Ms. Yang Hua and Mr. Li were taken to the hallway and slapped in the face.

The perpetrators grabbed the practitioners by their hair and rammed their heads into the wall. Perpetrator Ran Lingcai pounded Yi Guoqing's face violently with his fists until Mr. Yi's eyes were bloodshot and he had two black eyes. His eyes were so swollen that they were only slits, his teeth were loosened and his lips were so swollen that he could not open his mouth to eat. Mr. Yi's upper lip was blackened and his face was black and blue. Ran also put a nylon rope around practitioner Cheng Xianqin's neck and tied her to a heating pipe, almost suffocating her. Ran Lingcai also slammed practitioner Chi Yueling's head against the heating pipe until she passed out and a tooth was knocked out.

2. Police officer Zhang Sidong and other perpetrators in Fuyuan County, Heilongjiang Province, commit crimes against Dafa practitioners

Officer Zhang Sidong from the Political and Security Division of the Fuyuan County Police Department, Heilongjiang Province and other perpetrators from the police department persecuted Dafa practitioners. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the police department forced work unit heads to guarantee that the Dafa practitioners who worked there would no longer practice Falun Gong. They extorted money from the practitioners, threatened them, tapped their home phones and installed monitors around their homes, persecuted their family and relatives, and blocked practitioners from leaving town. The authorities posted practitioners' pictures on the Internet as "Wanted by the Police," ransacked their homes and fined them, and otherwise tortured and interrogated practitioners. Many were sent to forced labor camps.

No less than 100 practitioners were abducted from Fuyuan County and the surrounding areas. Zhang Sidong sentenced nearly 30 practitioners to forced labor, in violation of the Chinese Constitution and forced many practitioners into homelessness.

In the winter, practitioner Zheng Yingchun voluntarily fixed the potholes in a public street, but Zhang Sidong wrote her name down, and in May 2002, a group of police officers broke into her home, ransacked it and took Ms. Zheng to a detention center. They illegally sentenced her to forced labor and later extended her sentence by 50 days. Zheng Yingchun was handcuffed and then hung up with a rope until one of her arms became disabled.

On December 14, 2004, Wu Jirong and Ma Yichang from Weidong Machine Factory of Xiangfan City, Hubei Province, distributed Falun Gong materials at Cihe Town, Gucheng County, Xiangfan City. They were taken away by the Cihe Town police, and they are currently being detained at Gucheng County's No. 1 Detention Center. They continue to send forth righteous thoughts and talk to those detained in the prison about Falun Gong, and why the persecution severely violates human rights.

Jiaozuo City Court illegally sentenced four Falun Gong practitioners to heavy terms. The four practitioners are:

Mr. Li Baoxing, 35, from Zhilou Village, Xilou Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. He has been arrested and detained eight times, and is now sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment and detained at the Jiaozuo City Detention Center.

Mr. Zhu Dongxin, 28, from Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, was sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment by the Jiaozuo City Court. He is detained at the Jiaozuo City Detention Center.

Mr. Yuan Jundang, 33, from Wei County, Hebei Province, was sentenced to eleven years imprisonment by the Jiaozuo City Court. He is detained at the Jiaozuo City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Yijun, 25, from Meng County, Hunan Province, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by Jiaozuo City Court and detained at the Jiaozuo City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Ling, 22, is from Hanshan District, Handan City of Hebei Province. She was arrested on September 23, 2004. While being detained at Handan City's No. 2 Detention Center, she firmly resisted the illegal interrogation and refused to sign the notice of arrest. At the same time, she started a hunger strike as a peaceful form of protest against the persecution, but was force-fed by the police. The police do not allow her family members to visit her, and they are threatening to charge her formally.

Liu Ling is now extremely emaciated due to the persecution she has endured while being detained for more than three months. She went on a hunger strike again recently to demand an unconditional release.

On the night of January 3, 2005, Ms. Jiang Yuhuan from Bengfu City, Anhui Province was arrested for posting informational flyers about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Shengli Police Station. On the morning of January 4, she was sent to Bengfu City's No. 1 Detention Center.

On November 13, 2004, Ms. Mu Yongyan informed people on the bus she was riding about the facts about Falun Gong. She was then arrested by plainclothes police from the National Security Unit in Qian'an County's Police Department.

In the beginning of December 2004, Zhao Hongxiang and his wife Tang Fenglan (both over 60 years old), together with their daughter Zhao Juan from the Yuanbaoshan District of Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia, distributed materials containing information about Falun Gong in Shanxi Province. They were arrested by local police and are currently being held at the Yuanbaoshan District Pingzhuang Detention Center.

On the morning of December 30, 2004, Ms. Meng Qingxia of Changping District in Beijing was arrested by the local police and then taken to a brainwashing center.

Ms. Li Lianfang is a villager from the East Village of Yantai, in Qingdao City of Shandong Province. At 3:00 p.m. on November 3, 2004, two policemen from Zhuhai Road Police Station, and the chief from the East Village, Yantai, deceived Li Lianfang into going to the Zhuhai Road Police Station. Two hours later, her family was ordered to deliver a quilt and clothes. Li Lianfang has still not returned home. After many inquiries were made, it was learned that Li Lianfang is being detained in a brainwashing center located at 34 Mingxia Road, Qingdao.

Recently, Wang Liguo and You Guoying, from Gongzhuling, Jilin Province, have been sentenced by the Wuxi City New District Court for distributing Falun Gong related flyers. Both of them have appealed to Wuxi City's Intermediate Court, and entered the second stage of trial procedures.

Mr. Wang Liguo, 33, from Gongzhuling of Jilin Province, taught Math at Fanjia Village No. 1 High School in Gongzhuling City. He went to Beijing to lawfully appeal for a stop to the persecution against Falun Gong in 1999, and was detained in a forced labor camp for a year. He was again detained in the forced labor camp for a year in 2001, because he was steadfast in practicing Falun Dafa. He was then dismissed from his workplace, and he has being forced to become homeless so as to avoid further persecution.

Ms. You Guoying, 43, was a cadre at Gongzhuling City's Municipal Engineering Company Union. Because she is firm in practicing Falun Gong, she was dismissed from her workplace and has been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.

Mr. Yang Hong is a university student from Tianjin University. Because he is steadfast in practicing Falun Gong, he was detained at the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City. After being released in 2004, he was dismissed by Tianjin University. He was again detained in November 2004, but his whereabouts have not been ascertained.

Mr. Wang Shiyuan is a postgraduate student from Tianjin University. Because of his belief in Falun Gong, he endured a lot of suffering while being detained and persecuted at the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City. After he was released in 2004, he was dismissed by Tianjin University. He was then sent back to his hometown of Taiyuan City in Shanxi Province, where he was again reported and arrested. It is not known where he is currently detained.

Mr. Guo Deyou lives in Hexi District of Tianjin City. In September 2004, he was again arrested for revealing the facts about Falun Gong. It is not known where he is currently detained. His wife was detained at Banqiao Women Forced Labor Camp in 2000, and is currently being detained at the Tianjin City Women's Prison. His daughter, Guo Rong, is also being detained at the forced labor camp.

Zhang Rongqing, the person in charge of Honggang Police Station, interrogated Ms. Zhang Guiyun continuously for two days in the special interrogation room in Daqing City's Detention Center. Zhang and a person from the city's criminal police unit brutally tortured Zhang Guiyun. The torture left Mrs. Zhang Guiyun with many bruises on her body, and she could no longer move her back or abdomen. The police burned seven or eight packs of cigarettes in front of her in order to irritate her with the fumes and break down her spirit (Note: Falun Gong practitioners do not smoke). Afterwards, she was interrogated on two separate occasions, but could not continue due to her ill health.

While Ms. Shi Jing was on a hunger strike, she was interrogated continually for seven days in the special interrogation room. The police wiped black mustard oil in her eyes, causing both her eyes to swell for many days. The police also denied her the right to change her sanitary pad after she had menstruated. They then forced her to sit on a metal chair, which had a picture of the founder of Falun Gong on it. They forced her to answer their questions using a variety of extremely cruel methods. Such treatment caused her heart rate to rise rapidly, which eventually led to serious gynopathy. They also spread black mustard oil in Ms. Yu Guixiang's eyes.

There are about seventeen Falun Gong practitioners detained in the detention center. The following people are on hunger strike: Shi Jing, Yu Guixiang, Zhang Yanping, Wang Guiyan, Zhang Guiyun, Wang Xiuling, and Zhang Yulan.

12. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ten Falun Dafa Practitioners are Sentenced by Jiaozuo Court

The Jiefang District Court of Jiaozuo City heavily sentenced ten Falun Dafa practitioners:
Li Baoxing, around 30 years old, bachelor's degree, 15 years in prison
Zhu Dongxin, 29, bachelor's degree, 15 years
Yuan Jundang, 11 year term
Fan Youfang, bachelor's degree, cadre of City Immigration Office, 8 year term
Ms. Zhao Yijun, 27 years, bachelor's degree, from Mengzhou City, 7 year term
Wei Yongzhong, bachelor's degree, cadre of City Mine Machinery Factory, 4 year term
Ms. Liu Fuzhen, retired from City Transport Office, 4 year term
Meng Jie, cadre of City Tie Factory, 2 year term
Ms. Xing Mingzhen, employee of City Public Hospital, eighteen month term
Ms. Wei Congling, one year term

Ms. Liu Shufang, a teacher of Jiaozuo City's No. 11 High School, was arrested on October 8, 2004. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor, and was sent to Zhengzhou City's Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Liu Baorong, 69, is a retired engineer of the city's Mine Machinery Factory. She was arrested in early December 2004. She is now being held at Jiaozuo City's Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Suran from Shijiazhuang City was arrested for distributing materials about Falun Gong and was then detained at the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center. She firmly refused to write the Three Statements. On December 1, 2004, Liu Suran was sentenced to a year of forced labor and is currently being detained at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp (southern district). She was fined 20,000 yuan, and this huge amount of money will be deducted from her wages. The cadre of her workplace in the Hebei Province No. 3 People's Hospital refused to pay her son any living expenses. Ms. Liu Suran's 15-year-old son thus has no way to pay his expenses because he has no other income. He is under tremendous pressure and may be forced to leave their home.

On the morning of December 16, 2004, Mr. Li Changshuan from Sheqi County, Nanyang City, Henan Province was arrested for informing people with facts about Falun Gong.

Mr. Peng from Hechang's Village Center Primary School in Danleng County of Meishan City in Sichuan Province is in his 50s, and has practiced Falun Gong for more than a year. Around mid-November 2004, he was detained for explaining the true situation about Falun Gong to the parents of an ill student, and he is still being held at Danleng's County Detention Center.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."
