(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gao Rongrong is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Her face was severely deformed after police at the Longshan Labor Camp in Shenyang City shocked her with electric batons for nearly seven hours non-stop. To cover their crime, the police sent her to the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital of the China Medical University to receive so-called "treatment," when in fact they intended to keep her under close watch so as to prevent their brutality from being exposed to the outside world. Gao Rongrong refused to accept the so-called "treatment" under tight surveillance, and she requested to be allowed to return home. However, the Longshan Labor Camp, as well as Shenyang City Judiciary Bureau, have intensified their efforts to cover up the facts of the persecution of Gao Rongrong, and they've decided not to release her.

On August 20, 2004, Longshan Labor Camp director Li Fengshi, and Shenyang City Judiciary Bureau Labor Camp Administration Division chief Liu Bo came to the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University to inform Gao Rongrong and her family that if she did not cooperate with the "treatment," she would be sent to the Dabei Prison Hospital to be "treated."

The Dabei Prison Hospital is in fact a facility to detain people. Normally family members of the detainees are not allowed to visit.
