(Clearwisdom.net) At around 8:00 p.m. on December 28, 2001, Ms. Cui Yaning from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province was abducted by five policemen and sent to Ling'an Police Station in Jinzhou. After being body-searched, she was promptly beaten by the police.
The police found in her possession a telephone address book. When she tried to destroy the book, several policemen rushed at her, pushed her to the ground and punched and kicked her. After snatching the book away, the police beat her again.
Several policemen then made her lie on the ground facing down and held her tightly. A strong policeman who was over 1.8 meters tall and weighed about 200 lbs then stepped on her back and stomped fiercely. See the picture.
Two months after the above torture, Cui still felt sharp pain in her chest and back.

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Hu Aiyun was fortunate to start practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. Since then, her views about life have changed. Before she learned to practice Falun Dafa, she was a person who had a strong attachment to competing for her own benefit, and she had also developed many diseases. After learning Falun Dafa, she always considered others first when doing things, and both her mind and body changed dramatically.
On July 20, 1999, the Jiang Zemin's persecution policies forced the local authorities to suddenly confiscate and destroy all Falun Dafa books and launch a crackdown against Falun Dafa practitioners. Hu Aiyun went to appeal and was illegally detained many times. During her first appeal, she was detained for five days. During her second appeal, she did not want the cruel people to arrest her and she jumped down from the second floor of a hotel to escape. As a result, one of her feet was injured. After she returned home, she practiced the exercises and quickly recovered from her injury. She told the officials, "Falun Dafa is a great way of cultivation practice which can truly elevate people's morality, and you should not listen to the lies from the evil authorities." After Hu went to Beijing to appeal for the third time, she was detained. She did not reveal her name, and she was released after 12 days of detention. When she went to appeal for the fourth time, the persecution became aggravated. Since she did not reveal her name, the brutal police transferred her from Beijing to the Zhao County Detention Center, where the police chief threatened to burn her with a lighter or beat her with the bottom of a leather soled shoe. However, she was not intimidated at all by the threats. Seeing that he had no way of changing her, the police chief said angrily in the end, "I don't want to have anything to do with her any more. Whoever wants to deal with her, take her."
Another policeman put Hu into a steel cage. Her hands were cuffed to the top of the cage. Inside the cage, she could neither stand straight nor squat down. They placed the cage, with Hu Aiyun inside it, under a tree. The summer weather was hot and humid, and the air was thick with swarms of mosquitoes. She was forced to remain in the cage outside for eight days where she was subjected to thousands of mosquito bites as the swarms covered her. A person without her strength of character and personal conviction would not have been able to endure such suffering. However, with her strong faith in Master, she passed through the ordeal with Master's protection. During the night, her body was covered with mosquito bites, however the swelling and allergic reaction faded away during the daytime. Other inmates in the detention center could not help but shed tears. She had such strong righteous thoughts that the police ran out of methods to force her to renounce her belief in Falun Dafa. In the end, they bought a train ticket and respectfully brought her to the train, telling her, "You can go home now!"
After she returned home, Hu Aiyun encouraged more fellow practitioners to step forward. She clarified the truth and helped more people see through the lies fabricated by Jiang's regime. Because of this, she was reported to the police by a misled person, and was sentenced to two years in brutal Wanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she continued to clarify the truth to the guards, the labor camp director, and the inmates. When her term was over, the guards quickly encouraged her family members to take her home..
However, less than a year after she was released, the police put her name on their wanted list again and set forth to abduct her. It has already been over a year since her arrest. Her family members have not been permitted to see her, and also received the news several days ago that Hu was given a heavy sentence of eleven years. We all know that only those criminals who have committed severe crimes are given such a heavy sentence. What crime has Hu Aiyun committed by believing in the principle of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" and seeking to uplift her morality?!
We are exposing the injustice that has happened to Hu Aijun to let the whole world clearly see the dark side of China, so that they will no longer be deceived by Jiang's lies.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu Guifang from DongmaoTown, Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province is undergoing severe abuse in the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. The abuse is so severe that she is on the brink of death, and the labor camp has informed her family to be mentally prepared for her impending death. The family members requested that Wu Guifang be paroled for medical treatment, but because Dongmao Town's Party secretary Su You refused to sign the form for Wu Guifang, the labor camp would not release her and continues to imprison her. Wu Shouzhi, Wu Guifang's younger cousin on her paternal side was tortured so severely she suffered a mental collapse in the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp.
Dafa practitioner Ms. Wu Guifang is 1.65 meters tall (5 feet and 5 inches) and her original body weight was over 130 Jin (143 lb). The torture had caused her to become a mere skeleton who weighs only 70 Jin (77 lb). She has been on hunger strike for over 70 days protesting the persecution. Division head Wei has force fed her two times per day, knocking out her teeth in the process. He inserts a big tube through her mouth into her stomach, causing her to constantly throw up. She is having serious, acute gastric illness due to the repeated force-feedings, and this suffering made her extremely weak.
On November 23, 2003, the authorities dragged Wu Guifang from her room to the corridor to brutally beat her. Since she could not walk after the beating, criminal inmates carried her outside into the yard and cuffed her to a flagpole (with both arms hugging the flagpole).
She was cuffed to the pole from 9 o'clock in the morning to 8 o'clock at night. During this period, the guards frequently came over to her to beat her, kick her and slap her face. On December 29 she was again cuffed to the flagpole for a long period of time. Because of the long-term torture, her body has become extremely emaciated, and her life is in extreme danger.
Wang Chunmei from the Tangshan District, Hebei Province has been handcuffed without relief for over two months, in addition to suffering other brutal tortures. Her whole body is covered with wounds and bruises. Wu Guifang's younger female cousin, Wu Shouzhi, was tortured so severely she became mentally traumatized and is still this way, even after her family paid a lot of money to get her released from the camp.
Guards in the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp persecute the Dafa practitioners with unparalleled savagery. They once forced Dafa practitioners to work in the fields for over 20 hours a day, every day, without rest. The extreme, excessive work load wore down many Dafa practitioners' physical health. Now Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp authorities sell Dafa practitioners as cheap labor to a rug factory, where they are forced to work over 20 hours a day, every day, under extremely vicious working conditions. The rug factory owner pays 20 Yuan per day per person to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp.
There are two forced labor camps in Baoding City, Hebei Province torturing Dafa practitioners with extremely vicious means. One is the Baoding City Labor Camp and another is the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. The Dafa practitioners being illegally detained in these places are living as slaves and are subjected to constant violence from the guards.
On May 10, 2004, the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp adopted a campaign they called "attacks on the stronghold," to escalate the persecution against Dafa practitioners and force them to renounce their belief. They locked nearly 20 steadfast male Dafa practitioners into the darkened fourth floor, each in a separate room. In the room was a wooden board for a bed. They tied the Dafa practitioner up on the bed so that he could not move. The guards, led by Liu Yuesheng, then relentlessly shocked the Dafa practitioners with electric batons, trying to force them to give up to their belief in Dafa.
The police have lost their rationality and their humanity under this highly intense political pressure. They have shocked several Dafa practitioners' genital areas and caused them to suffer beyond description, making their life being worse than death. The Dafa practitioners being barbarically tortured include Hao Hui, Liu Wen, Gao Qiusheng, Ma Xinshun, and Wang Deqian.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Guilan, 45, is a resident of Changchun City, Jilin Province. She was arrested at her residence by the Dongantun Police Station officers on February 9, 2002, and sent to a brainwashing class to be persecuted.
There were up to thirty people who were involved in arresting her, including people from the Changtong Adminstration Office. In the brainwashing program, Yu Guilan was persecuted by a policeman named, Chen Peng, of the Politics and Security Section of Kuancheng District Police Department. At that time, she was tortured until her entire face became swollen and she lost consciousness. Dongantun Police Station authorities then sent her to the No. 3 Detention Center. The detention center personnel refused to admit her as her injuries were too severe. However, a policeman with the surname Xu used his authority and pulled some strings to have Yu Guilan admitted to the detention center. For no legal reason, she was also sentenced to two years of forced labor. She refused to sign any documents or accept the judgment, and thus was given another year of imprisonment as punishment, for a total of three years of forced labor. They dragged and pushed Yu Guilan into the fifth large team of the Heizuizi Female Forced Labor Camp.
Currently, Yu Guilan is being persecuted in the forced labor camp. She has become mentally traumatized as a result of the torture, and cannot walk properly. Her legs have become numb and lost all sense of feeling, and her toes are deformed and curled. She moves by nudging forward bit by bit. If she is not careful, she loses her balance and falls down. She has difficulty digesting food, and her stomach is often unsettled. Her heart heat is irregular and she is weak and emaciated. Her condition is very severe. In order to have a medical examination and see a doctor for treatment, she will need to pay for the expenses. But Yu Guilan has no money to see a doctor, so the forced labor camp fabricated the excuse of "no diagnosis" and refused to grant her a medical release.
On July 26, the labor camp performed a medical examination for Yu Guilan after she paid the expenses. She heard the doctor say, "Atrophying heart, dislocated spinal disc..." and then did not hear anything else. However, when the warden came back, he said, "[There is] no illness, it is just menopause." Yu Guilan's medical condition is now very critical. She feels a pulsating pain in both her heart and stomach.

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Li Xiaocui and I live in Kaifeng City, Henan Province. Since Jiang's group began persecuting Dafa in July 1999, I have gone to Beijing three times to validate Dafa, and was unlawfully arrested three times. This violates the Chinese constitution, which guarantees freedom of belief.
On May 12, 2000 I was held at the Kaifeng City Detention Center. On May 28, 2000 I was transferred to the Tongxu County Detention Center in Kaifeng City. On the morning of June 14, I was tortured by a female prison guard named Li Xiumei along with a male guard. They put me in shackles and special chains, and cuffed my hands behind my back. During the shackling process they put a one-foot long special chain on my legs and broke my left shin. I had various injuries to both legs as a result of the torture. My legs were black and blue, swollen and bleeding. They left the handcuffs in place for 13 hours and left the shackles on for five days. In December 2000, my feet started to ache as if they were being jabbed with needles. My feet became numb and the condition later spread to my legs. During the past three years the symptoms have grown more serious and I have suffered tremendously because of it. Instructor Li Qingjie at the Tongxu County Detention Center once arrived with a dozen people and inserted a tube through my nose, all the way into my stomach, causing me to almost suffocate because the tube blocked my air passages.
On June 16, 2000, I was taken to a brainwashing class specifically conducted for Dafa practitioners at the Kaifeng City "610 Office." Because I persisted in my belief in Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance, and refused to cooperate with the persecution, the persecutors sent me to the Kaifeng City Detention Center at around noon. In the evening, a female guard named Chang put shackles on the Dafa practitioners. She later attached the handcuffs to the shackles so we could not straighten our backs, and had to stay in a highly uncomfortable position. She also insulted and beat us, and deprived us of sleep for five consecutive days. If we closed our eyes she would spray bug repellent in our eyes. Because I refused to renounce my belief, they sentenced me to three years of forced labor.
On August 31, 2001 I was sent to the Shibalihe Female Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City, where I was tortured, beaten, force-fed, cuffed, and hung up by my handcuffed wrists. Ninety five percent of the Dafa practitioners held here were hung up with ropes. I was also forced to do slave labor. In January, the persecutors opened the window and forced us to stand in the cold wind. My legs became swollen and numb, but I was still forced to stand for three nights. Because I refused to cooperate with them, they extended my term by eight months. Jia Meili, the head of Division Three, Hu Zhaoxia, the deputy head of Division Three, and other persecutors are responsible for these abuses. I left the labor camp alive on January 11, 2004.
After five years of torture and abuse from the persecution, I was left with permanently swollen legs and my feet numb and sore. For four years, since the year 2000, my left shinbone has suffered from a fracture that was not treated properly. At present, I am disabled and cannot work.
My husband passed away three years ago, from the constant fear and pressure. During the past few years, our only daughter has been forced to struggle to live on her own, with very little money.
(Clearwisdom.net) Authorities from Shenyang City's Longshan Labor Camp have tortured 43-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Lu Changliang, to the brink of death. She has now been sent to the General Hospital of the Liaoning Province Prison Management Bureau for medical treatment on August 4, 2004.
On August 2, Yang Min, the deputy head of Division One in Longshan Labor Camp, called Ms. Lu Changliang's family members and told them that she was coughing up blood due to a gastric hemorrhage. He asked them to pay "medical expenses" of 1000 Yuan. The family members answered that they had not been allowed to see her for a long time, and they demanded to see her before agreeing to pay. The labor camp finally relented.
On August 3, four inmates carried Ms. Lu, who was already unable to walk, downstairs from the third floor, where Division One was. Being very weak, Ms. Lu told her family members that she had three wounds on her body due to the electric shocks she had been subjected to and showed them the wounds on her right leg. The three blackened wounds were very clear. The guards in Longshan Labor Camp used electric batons to shock her in May 2004 and left scars on her body. Her father and fifteen-year-old son have witnessed the wounds. On August 4, Yue Jun, the chief of Division One and Xu Bin, supervisor of Division One, sent Ms. Lu Changliang to the General Hospital of Liaoning Province Prison Management Bureau for further persecution. The family members came to the hospital demanding to see her but were stopped by Yue Jun and others. When they asked for the policemen's names, Yue Jun arrogantly said, "Look me up on the Internet!"
On August 5, Ms. Lu's mother came to the labor camp again and demanded to see her daughter. Yue Jun evaded her by saying that he was not the person that made decisions, and that the decision has to be made by the twelve directors of the labor camp, but none of them were available. Wang Xuetao, the chief of Life and Health Section in Longshan Labor Camp, even told her, "I can give you an answer. You can go sue us anywhere you like. She is a criminal. If she dies, so what?" Wang had participated in torturing a 33-year-old Falun Gong practitioner, Su Weihuan from Division Two, in March 2004 using electric batons.
Ms. Lu Changliang is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Yuhong District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Since Jiang Zemin's regime started illegally persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, she has been to Beijing to appeal several times. She has also been illegally searched, detained and extorted out of money by lawless officials many times. During 2000, she was detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. In March 2002, she was arrested by the Dalian City National Security agents, and was detained at Dalian City Detention Center. She went on hunger strike to resist the persecution, but was brutally force-fed. The guards even cut the arch of her feet to "test her state of consciousness." Later on she was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor, and was detained at Division One of Shenyang City's Longshan Forced Labor Camp since spring of 2002. She has suffered long-term persecution in the labor camp, including brainwashing and torture. In response, she has carried out hunger strikes several times to resist the persecution. Between July and August 2002, the labor camp sent her, along with Xia Yulan and another Falun Gong practitioner who also firmly believes in Falun Dafa, to Shenyang City's Zhanshi Labor Camp for brainwashing and torture. Ms. Lu Changliang refused to give up her belief, so they sent her back to Longshan Labor Camp and detained her in a team of criminals.
To resist the inhuman torture by Longshan Labor Camp, several Falun Gong practitioners and Ms. Lu Changliang started a hunger strike on July 20, 2004. It has been ongoing for almost 20 days at the time of this writing.
It has been reported that Falun Gong practitioner Ren Shujie, who had been illegally detained at Division Two of Shenyang City's Longshan Labor Camp, was transferred to Masanjia Labor Camp between May and June 2004.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Dai Jun is twenty-eight years old, and is from Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province. He was arrested for printing and distributing materials that explained the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa. In 2002, the Jixi City Intermediate People's Court illegally sentenced him to six years of imprisonment. Currently, he's being held at the Mudanjiang Prison in Heilongjiang Province.
Dai Jun was arrested on April 25, 2002. During the interrogation, the head of the Politics Security Department of the Jixi Public Security Bureau didn't believe what Dai Jun said, so he beat him up. He called up the Criminal Investigation Squad of Jiguan District to come and assist him with the beating. They started a three-day, round-the-clock torture session against Dai Jun. They forced him to sit on the Tiger Bench and force-fed him spicy mustard oil. They put heavy things on his head. They used needles to jab him and lit cigarettes to burn his feet. They pushed him outside to be exposed to freezing cold weather. They handcuffed his hands behind his back for a long time, and beat up him with sticks. They kicked and punched Mr. Dai at will, and shackled his feet too. His legs became numb after all this torture and he had difficulties walking without assistance. At the trial, he had to rely on other people's help to walk. He was sent to a detention center after enduring three days of brutal torture. Four other practitioners who were arrested at the same time also suffered mistreatment. One of them was an Associate Professor.
At the detention center, Mr. Dai often felt dizzy and nauseous. Sometimes his limbs felt numb. He was very weak. His eyesight was also damaged. In fact, it is a common approach of those malicious police to send practitioners to detention centers after they were beaten up. In this way, when the practitioners are released many days later, nobody can easily see that they have been tortured. This is one of the main reasons why detention centers often refuse to release practitioners on time. They are simply trying to cover up their criminal actions of torturing Falun Dafa practitioners.

My name is Shi Guirong and I am 32 years old. My family lives on Shanqian Street, in the Longtan District. In September 1998, by a predestined opportunity I was fortunate enough to obtain Falun Dafa. After I obtained the Fa [law and principles], I experienced amazing changes in my health and eliminated the torment of illnesses. Dafa is what gives me the courage to live on. I have made a firm determination that I will cultivate Dafa throughout my entire life.
Since my childhood I have been weak and have suffered from many illnesses. I once had problems with heart palpitations as a result of being angry or frightened which caused an accelerated heart beat, even to the point of going into shock. I did not have the strength for daily work and I always felt congestion in my chest, as if I was suffocating. After I got married I became infected with the hepatitis-B virus from a blood transfusion, and I always had abdominal pain and nausea. I felt aches all over my body, and it seemed that my back was under the weight of a large rock. Suffering from all these illnesses, I was always in a bad mood. Hitting my son and scolding my husband had become my routine. Regardless of what my husband said to me, I did not have a pleasant response. I even got angry with my parents, often for no reason. This went on day after day, year after year, and my health gradually deteriorated further. I suffered from coronary disease, rheumatoid arthritis, skin disorders caused by nervousness, blood diseases, etc., one after another. My hepatitis-B enzyme tests in particular showed a reading of AST/SGOT, ALT/SGPT reaching as high as 200+, and my hepatitis-B examination results showed three positive readings. My liver problem degenerated to the verge of liver cirrhosis. In March of 1998 my illnesses were aggravated further. My liver had swelling, and sometimes I experienced dropsy as a result of my liver disfunction. A doctor told me that my illnesses were dangerous and to cure them would be very difficult.
After listening to the doctor's words I thought that since I had suffered from the illnesses for so many years, I did not want to suffer any longer. I wanted to end my life to end the suffering.
My husband became alert to my depressed state of mind, and he did not go to work, but spent time with me all day long, every day. With earnest advice from my family members and with the doctor's requests, I agreed to be hospitalized, accepting a series of combined therapies from Chinese medicine, Western medicine, laser treatment, cold treatments, and others. Every day I had to eat a big bowl of Chinese herbal medicine soup, take a handful of Western medicine pills, and take quite a few intravenous and intramuscular injections. The treatment lasted over three months and cost nearly ten thousand Yuan (1). And yet, my condition was still not stable. When my condition seemingly improved, if I stopped taking medicine for two or three days, my illnesses would recur, and each time the symptoms got worse. My hepatitis-B enzyme AST/SGOT, ALT/SGPT tests stayed above 100. Facing this kind of situation, I lost confidence with the treatment and became more dejected. Without any other choice, my husband bought the medicines and brought them home. He urged me patiently every day to take the medicine and have the injections, but mentally I was actually waiting and prepared for my imminent death.
One evening after six o'clock I ran into my neighbor as he was going to watch Master Li's Fa lecture video tape. Even though I had lost all enthusiasm for life, without a second thought, I also expressed an interest in watching the videotape. I put on my slippers, and without telling my family, I went with him to watch the videotape of Master Li's Fa lecture in Dalian. To be honest, at the time I did not really understand what Master Li was talking about. But I liked watching it, I felt peace in my mind, and my body felt very comfortable. Without realizing it the time had gone past nine o'clock in the evening. I had never been able to sit that long! After I got home I learned that my family had been frantically looking for me. My husband was genuinely worried about me and he reprimanded me upon my return. If this had happened in the past, I would have been "looking for trouble" even if he had not been angry, but this time I did not get angry. Instead, I smiled and told him that I wanted to learn to practice Falun Dafa.
The second morning, while I was still in deep sleep, I felt that someone was knocking on my window to wake me up. I woke up, and when I checked the clock it was 5:10 a.m. I then threw on some clothes and walked to the practice site. Just like that, by my own choice, I began to practice Falun Dafa.
When I had just started practicing Falun Dafa, I had hard time waking up in the morning. Every day, I dreamed that someone was knocking on my window to wake me up. Afterwards I realized that it was Master Li's law body calling me. Because I had not learned the principles of Falun Dafa well, I was still taking injections and medicine. Master Li's law body tried to make me evaluate this again and again. With fellow practitioners' help I paid attention to learning the Falun Dafa principles better and I came to understand that illnesses were the result of the karma I accumulated lifetime after lifetime, and that I was eliminating that karma. I then disposed of the medicine when I realized I didn't need them anymore.
Only two weeks after I started to practice Falun Dafa, I was shown boundless miracles. My body felt relieved. I lifted my head and it felt like I had unlimited strength! My moral character also rose to a higher level. I had realized that for so many years that it was my husband who had been taking care of me. After working all day long he also had to do the housework and deliver and pick up our child. I felt I was not fulfilling my responsibility as a wife and mother. I thought I should now compensate him by making a strong effort to take care of the household chores. So I did a good general cleaning of my home and I organized my home inside and out. It was really clean and organized. I delivered and picked up our child, did the grocery shopping, and cooked the meals. My husband saw this and got scared. He kept insisting that I take it easy and not get too tired. My neighbors were also very surprised. They had never seen me so active. I now experienced a what it was like to have body without any illness, and I found the true meaning of life.
In order to verify these miracles, at my husband's suggestion, two months after I started to practice Falun Dafa I went to the hospital for a comprehensive examination. Before the examination my husband told me, "If your illnesses are gone, I will write a letter of commendation to Falun Dafa's founder [Master Li Hongzhi]." I said, "I am a true Falun Dafa practitioner, and Master Li purified my body. I am certainly completely well. You can help me to introduce Falun Dafa to other people."
The examination test results showed that my liver AST/SGOT, ALT/SGPT enzyme test, which had never been lower, even after such a long period of medical treatment, came out normal! My liver function was normal, and test results for the three symptoms I was tested for were negative. That signified that my liver problem, which no medical treatment could cure, even after such a long time, was cured. My coronary disease, blood disease, and rheumatoid arthritis also concurrently miraculously disappeared. The miracles of Dafa truly unfolded in front of people. I was moved, with tears filling my eyes.
Now, my body is agile and I am full of energy. My mind is also filled with compassion. Everyone in my whole family says that I have changed and become a different person. My mother, my sister-in-law, my younger sister, all of them saw my miraculous changes and they all walked onto the path of Dafa cultivation.
I know that the cultivation path ahead of me is still very long. I have to eliminate the karma I accumulated lifetime after lifetime. I will have to experience many tribulations during my cultivation, but I have made my determined vow to keep practicing Falun Dafa. Master Li gave me a new life. No matter what I shall encounter, I will keep practicing Falun Dafa, with firm steps moving forward until I reach completion in my path of cultivation.

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner in Baishan City, Jilin Province. I was formerly afflicted with stomach cancer before obtaining Falun Dafa on November 19, 2003. I am very healthy and happy now. It is Falun Dafa that saved my family, because as a result of my experience, my whole family began practicing Falun Dafa.
On June 18, 2003, I was near death from my illness. The doctor had diagnosed me with late stage stomach cancer. My wife did not tell me the truth, and said I was sick with an ulcer. But I found they were always weeping behind my back. Then I asked my wife, "Am I sick with stomach cancer?" She thought I knew, then cried out loud, "Since you know, I will not hide it from you. You have stomach cancer; please look at it with a bigger heart and you will be cured."
I knew this disease had no cure! I was the main support of the family. My wife was not well. She had slipped a disc about a year ago and could not do any heavy labor. Our child needed money to learn job skills. My wife's condition had not improved despite much money spent on her. Facing such heavy financial pressure, I felt the sky was about to fall. How could we live our lives! I cried together with my wife, as neither of us could bear the pressure.
For the sake of our child and our livelihood, we ran a small business to survive. My wife stopped taking medicine to save money for my treatments. I took a lot of medication, but nothing worked. I was getting thinner and thinner. My wife saw me getting worse. She was often crying behind my back and worrying about our financial difficulties. She then developed heart disease and a deteriorating retina condition. Bad things kept happening one after one another.
We had lost hope. My wife wanted to commit suicide many times. When we were at this dead end, my old schoolmate saw me. She asked, "How come you are so thin? Are you sick?"
I answered, "Yes, I am terminally ill."
She said, "If that is true, I can help you."
She invited me to her home and took a book out. She said, "Read this book at home. My younger sister's lymphatic cancer was cured from reading this book. Not only she was cured, her health is better than ever." I gladly received the book known as, Zhuan Falun, (1) from her.
I immediately took the book back home and began reading it. The more I read, the more I felt that it was a precious book containing many profound principles. I clearly realized that Falun Dafa was a high level practice from the Buddhist branch teaching people to be good, and to assimilate with the characteristics of the universe, "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." I truly had enlightened to the profound inner meaning inside this book. I also started learning the 5 Falun Dafa exercises, and practiced them daily while I continued to read through the book. After 15 days, a miracle happened. My stomach stopped hurting, I was able to do many things that I could not before. My wife, who only had a superficial understanding of Falun Dafa expressed and interest in learning to practice it too when she saw my sudden health improvements.
We were practicing together for 20 days when another miracle happened. Her heart disease disappeared, and her retina problem fully recovered. She used to have difficulty even putting on her socks, but now she can carry the large laundry basket. Her illnesses disappeared and she became very healthy.
I went to the doctor to have my stomach checked. The cancer was gone, and my weight had increased by almost 20 pounds.
The miracle of Falun Dafa brought our family boundless fortune, and also amazed all our friends and family members. They were wondering why Jiang Zemin and his political followers were prohibiting people from practicing Falun Dafa which they clearly saw was such a good practice. Our friends and relatives all began thinking differently about Falun Dafa after witnessing our positive experience. Many of them are even learning to practice themselves!

(Clearwisdom.net) My mom lives with my brother. Because my sister-in-law gave birth to a baby and later returned to work, they hired a foreign maid, a teacher from the Philippines named Vangie. Because she was the first-born, she had to support her family. Guided by predestined relationship, she came to my brother's family to work.
My mom and I obtained Dafa in November 2002. One day Vangie saw "Falun Dafa" characters (both in English and Chinese) on my mom's scarf. She was shocked and frightened. Mom told me about this, and said: "Vangie used to read English newspapers over the past few years, maybe she was misled by the articles cited from Chinese propaganda. Upon hearing that, my husband gave Vangie a copy of the English version of Zhuan Falun [main teachings of Falun Dafa], a Falun Dafa flyer and VCD which explained the practice in more detail and also gave the facts of the persecution. She then learned the truth about the situation. Over the past few years, she also witnessed changes happening to my mom because of Falun Dafa. My mom was almost crippled and doctors said that she needed an artificial hip implant in order to walk. However, in just a few months after she started to practice Falun Dafa, her condition significantly improved. This helped Vangie deepen her understanding in Falun Dafa.
Vangie's mother had an accident in February 1998; because of high blood pressure, she fell and her head hit the ground. To pay her mom's medical expenses, she came to Taiwan to make money while Vangie's younger sister took care of their mother. Because of injury to her brain, Vangie's mom had difficulty in walking and needed some physical therapy exercises daily to stretch her body. Tormented by pain, her mom's temper became very bad. All this made Vangie suffer a lot.
In 2003, a Chinese neighbor introduced Falun Dafa to Vangie's sister who then took her mother to a park in a wheelchair to learn the Falun Dafa exercises. When Vangie went back to the Philippines later in 2003, she brought her family the book, Zhuan Falun, and other materials. By communicating through email, after she came back, she found that her mom's health condition had gradually improved by practicing. She had become more energetic and the medical costs were correspondingly lower. All these things pushed her to learn more about Falun Gong.
In the past, Vangie thought that Falun Gong was just like Tai chi, a slow and gentle traditional Chinese exercise which people often practice together in parks in mornings. Now she understands that Falun Gong is a high level practice, and involves being a good person by following the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance in one's daily life rather than exercising to keep the body fit.

On July 17, she joined us to participate in Falun Dafa activities in Taipei. Through anti-torture exhibitions, Vangie learned that a great tragedy was happening in Mainland China in the 21st century, and the victims of this tragedy are Falun Dafa practitioners.
Falun Dafa has become deeply rooted in Vangie's heart, and she now is on the right path to her true self.
(Clearwisdom.net) My wife was abducted and taken to a brainwashing center on July 17, 2001. Authorities at the center tried to force the practitioners to write the "Three Statements" (1), and they cruelly beat those who refused. My wife is in her 60's. I was afraid of her having to suffer physically and mentally, so I paid a 500 yuan (2) bail. However, that very afternoon, I was told that the money was simply a fine, not bail.
In May, 2004, I realized that my wife was not guilty of any wrongdoing for practicing Falun Gong. I felt that I should ask for my money back. So I arranged appointments with the "610 Office"(3) of Yingshan County, the Police Department, the members of the National People's Congress from our local area, and our town government.
First I found the policemen of the "610 Office" and asked them to return my money. The policemen told me that money had been used to pay the cost of living and transportation. I said to them, "You policemen defraud money from the common people, and use our money for personal pleasure." The policemen didn't know how to answer me and shifted responsibility toward the town government.
Then, I went to the "610 Office" and found Yang and Li. I asked them to return my money; I said, "When you hold brainwashing sessions, you deceive people and take their money. The first day, we had to pay 20 yuan. The second day, we had to pay 30 yuan. The third day, we had to pay 50 yuan, and the fourth day, we had to pay 100 yuan. It is so easy for you to make money! That is my hard-earned money. I would rather donate the money to the disaster area than be deceived by you. As long as I breathe, I will appeal to the provincial government, and even the central government. If you like, you can come and arrest me. The only thing you know and the only you do is persecute Falun Gong. But I'm not afraid of you." They had a guilty conscience, and they were afraid that their actions would be exposed. The head of my town returned my money personally and he said, "Don't let this become widely known. I yield."
Before this event, some old illnesses would recur every 3 or 5 days. I would become dizzy and tremble with cold sweat that would soak my clothes. But after I asked for the money back, the old illnesses completely stopped recurring, for over two months now. My appetite is much better and I feel very happy.

(1) The "Three Statements" -- Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the Three Statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.
(2) yuan -- Chinese currency; 500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.
(3) "610 Office" -- An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
(Clearwisdom.net) It has been mentioned recently in fellow practitioners' articles that under the interference and persecution from the evil dark minions of the old forces, there have always been some practitioners showing symptoms of severe sickness karma to the point of even losing their lives. I feel very sad about this. A number of such examples occurred in my local area. Not long ago, at our Dafa materials-production site, my fellow practitioners and I encountered severe interference of this type. But with our determined righteous thoughts and actions, we broke through it. I want to explain what happened to us and I hope this can serve as an indication to those practitioners who are still amidst the tribulations of sickness karma. Let's exchange our understandings, and please point out anything that is incorrect in my sharing.
At our Dafa materials-production site, we did not have enough people and the workload was rather large. However, every day we studied the Falun Dafa teachings, sent forth righteous thoughts, and did our tasks to clarify the truth about the persecution. Every one arranged and did his or her work in a very orderly fashion. So over a period of two years, we were able to do this type of work smoothly. Although we occasionally encountered some interference and had some conflicts amongst ourselves from time to time, we were all able to find our shortcomings and correct them.
However, in the beginning of July 2004, almost every one of us at the materials-production site suddenly encountered the interference of sickness karma, which came upon us very violently. One fellow practitioner had a bad toothache and his face became severely swollen. Another practitioner showed symptoms of having a severe cold; he felt aching all over his body, had a bad running nose, and tears ran from his eyes. There was another practitioner who vomited and had diarrhea, and his stomach cramps were so severe that he could not even straighten his back. The persecution of the practitioners at our site as a whole was a sudden event. I told every one that no matter how difficult it was, we should persist in our Fa study and increase the frequency of sending forth righteous thoughts. We also searched within ourselves to see what gaps existed in us and had been taken advantage of by the evil.
Through discussion, we found the gap, which was that our group Fa study as well as our sharing understandings of Fa [principles] had become less frequent, which had caused some practitioners, when they had different opinions on a certain matter, to not be able to speak out in time. Additionally, some misunderstandings had resulted in a rift among practitioners. This gap had been taken advantage of by the old forces. After each of us searched within him or herself and identified his or her own attachments, our bodies soon recovered. However, in less than two days, the interference came towards me again.
One evening, when I was on the Internet, I felt a ghastly negative energy suddenly come and cover my body. I felt a chilling cold all over my body. I persisted in finishing my work and sent forth righteous thoughts at the exact times. I felt a little better when sending forth righteous thoughts. However, in a moment, I felt very cold again and my body was shivering. I had a headache and sore throat and felt pain all over. I thought in my mind, "I am a Dafa practitioner, and I will never let the dark minions control me. I am determined to defeat them." In the morning, I got up as usual to practice the exercises. Although I had no strength, I still kept doing the exercises. As usual, I sent forth righteous thoughts at the exact hours, studied the Fa, and did Dafa work.
The next afternoon I felt a little better. However, the following day I started to feel awful again and this time it was worse. I could not eat anything and felt pain all over my body. I sometimes felt hot and sometimes cold. My mind became muddled. Although I kept sending forth righteous thoughts at the exact hours, I felt that it was too painful and my righteous thoughts were not that strong.
I felt this way for over ten days while my symptoms got worse with time. My head felt like it was about to crack open. My whole body ached, no matter whether I sat or lay down. My mouth was full of blisters. My teeth also ached terribly. I coughed and vomited blood. I could not sleep through the night because of the pain. Although I still kept sending forth righteous thoughts, they were not strong and could not achieve a very good effect. I thought, "Ah, I indeed cannot bear it anymore. It would be simple if I just died." Once this thought came up, I immediately realized that it was wrong. I am a Dafa practitioner. How many sentient beings were waiting for me to save them! Saving lives is our historic mission! To save us, Master has endured so much for us. Couldn't I just overcome this bit of tribulation? How selfish I was!
Then I started to calmly ponder all these events. Ordinarily, when I encountered interference with my work or my body, I felt that I had very strong righteous thoughts. Sometimes, when I sent information through the Internet, the evil beings utilized all means to interfere with me; they caused a breakdown here and troubles there, which could all be cleared out through my sending forth righteous thoughts. Although I encountered some interference with my body, I could get rid of it quickly during my sending forth righteous thoughts. However, this time the interference was so bad; it was the worst in several years. I realized that there must be some gaps existing in me. It was because I had not done well that the evil was able to take advantage of the gaps. But where were my gaps?
One day I struggled to get up to study the Falun Dafa teachings. I opened "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference" and started to read quietly. A paragraph caught my attention and I read it over and over:
"But after all, they did do what they wanted to do, so there's all the more reason for Dafa disciples to do even better and cultivate themselves well in the course of saving all beings. When you encounter ordeals during your cultivation, you have got to cultivate yourself and look at yourself--that doesn't mean acknowledging the ordeals arranged by the old forces and trying to do well amidst the ordeals they've arranged, that's not the case. We negate even the very emergence of the old forces and everything that they've arranged; we don't even acknowledge their existence. We're fundamentally negating all of their things, and all of, and only, the things you do while negating and getting rid of them is mighty-virtue. It's not that you're cultivating amidst the ordeals they created. Rather, you are to walk your own path well while not acknowledging them, not even acknowledging the elimination of their ordeals' manifestations. (Applause) So looking at it from this angle, what we need to do is completely negate the old forces. Dafa disciples and I don't even acknowledge the manifestations of their last-ditch efforts."
After reading this paragraph my mind suddenly became clear. Master wants us to negate even the manifestations of the old forces' last-ditch efforts. However, amidst the persecution aiming at me, I had kept thinking about how to defeat them and eliminate their persecution. Was it the case that I wanted to cultivate myself within the tribulations they created? Did this mean that I unknowingly acknowledged the existence of the old forces? If they existed, they could persecute and interfere with me. This was because I had acknowledged their existence.
After I was enlightened to this point, I started to send forth righteous thoughts. I said to myself, "I will never acknowledge any persecution aiming at me from the old forces' dark minions and the degenerated gods. No matter what contracts I signed in history, I will not acknowledge them at all. I am a Dafa disciple, and you (the old forces) are not qualified to test me. I will only follow the path arranged by Master." After sending forth righteous thoughts, I felt a sense of relief that I had not experienced for many days. My toothache soon stopped.
I then started to search within myself. I found that I had had many attachments. I made arbitrary decisions and I was arrogant when doing Dafa work. I was one of those practitioners, as mentioned by Master, who did not listen to others' criticisms and become angry when criticized by others. After reading Master's lecture, I knew that I should get rid of this bad habit. In the past, I also exchanged views with fellow practitioners, but when I really encountered criticism, I just superficially restrained myself from getting angry. In actuality, I had not accepted the criticism. I had not really let go of the attachment. I had not exhibited the harmonious mindset of a Dafa practitioner. Even so, I had still tried to find excuses for myself, feeling that I had already been very good. How could this work? Because of the problem with my mindset, the coordination inside our Dafa materials-production site had not been very good, which had constituted the biggest excuse for the old forces' dark minions to interfere. I realized that it was me who was the major root cause for the persecution of the practitioners at our site. Every one of us had gaps, but if I had not had that strong attachment, I would have been able to coordinate things well with fellow practitioners, and we would have been able to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts well and solve the problems that we encountered in a harmonious way. In that way, the gap we left would have not been that big.
After I realized the root cause, my pain disappeared that same day. Next day, the blisters in my mouth also disappeared. I could eat again. Soon everything became normal. Other practitioners also recovered after searching within themselves. Our Dafa materials-production site became normal again. Now all of us are trying our best to do the three things Teacher asked of us (1), even better.
I wrote this down to inform those practitioners who are still amidst the tribulation of sickness karma. At the critical moment, every thought of ours is very important. We must study the Fa well no matter how huge the tribulations are.
"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts."

We must follow what Master has told us to do and not acknowledge even the manifestations of the old forces' last-ditch efforts.
(1) Study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, clarify the truth about the persecution.
(Clearwisdom.net) At work on Monday I experienced abdominal pain and diarrhea. Even though I kept reciting the Fa-rectification verses, after breaking out into a sweat from the pain I felt so weak that I thought I would collapse. I had to take sick leave and go home.
It was fortunate that my workplace was very close to my home. After I got home, I went to the bathroom first and then supported myself on the bed to lie down. I closed my eyes and kept on reciting the Fa-rectification verses. I knew clearly that I was experiencing interference and persecution by the evil, and that I needed to resist it with righteous thoughts. But I felt that I could not do what I wanted to do. Even though I kept on sending forth righteous thoughts and even looked inside myself for problems, I did not feel any relief. When I was about to doze off reciting the Fa-rectification verses, I enlightened to something suddenly. For the past four to five days, my physical state had not been good. The fundamental reason is that I did not pay enough attention to sending forth righteous thoughts.
Since last Wednesday, every time it was close to midnight [the local time in China for sending righteous thoughts globally] I would be sleepy. I thought that I did not have enough energy to send forth powerful righteous thoughts and I'd better go to sleep so that I could send forth righteous thoughts at 6:00 am in the morning. But I was still thinking about sending forth righteous thoughts, so I would recite the Fa-rectification verses while I was dozing off. But in the morning when I woke up, it was already past 6:00 am. Because of my laziness, I would then recite the Fa-rectification verses while lying in bed. In the beginning, I was clear that I was sending forth righteous thoughts, but soon I would doze off. I would regret this when I woke up, but I did not change my state with righteous thoughts.
On Saturday night, I suddenly suffered from attacks of vomiting and diarrhea, my whole body felt cold and even my bones ached. My whole body hurt, feeling limp and weak. It felt like karma elimination. Coincidentally, I had a lot of work on my job for the last two days and I did not send forth righteous thoughts on Sunday. All that had resulted in my sudden condition by Monday morning.
When I recognized that I must correct my mind and send forth righteous thoughts, my mind cleared up right away and the sickness attacks that I had just suffered lifted as if they had never happened. I sat on the bed upright with my hand held vertically in front of my chest. I sent forth righteous thoughts. At that moment, my whole body was surrounded by a powerful energy field.
I realized that the dark minions will use any chance they can to ensnare us. Relaxing ourselves is tolerating the evil. All that we are doing today is holy and mighty, and we must do it seriously. The Fa-rectification verses that Master has bestowed upon us have enormous holy power and are incomparably sacred. But I had dealt with it without respect, and that was taken advantage of by the dark minions in escalating their persecution. I have put what I have experienced in words in the hope that fellow practitioners who are still dealing with sending forth righteous thoughts without seriousness should pay attention, strictly restrain themselves, walk each step solidly along the path of the Fa rectification, and be worthy of Master's salvation.
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 7, Minghui.net (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) published an article exposing the prison police officers of the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, who used electric batons to shock 36-year-old female Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong for almost seven hours. The photograph showing her severely disfigured face was included in the report. The day after the report, Dafa practitioners in China sent an appeal regarding this case, which was announced in an article entitled, "Shocking Photos of a Practitioner's Disfigured Face; Dafa Practitioners Should Clarify the Truth More Widely" on Clearwisdom.net (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/7/27/50712.html). Reporters and a multitude of overseas Dafa practitioners quickly centered on this case and many published comments with comprehensive reports. They condemned the persecutors. The widespread exposition of the facts had, in a very short time, enabled the world to know about the case. Many people worldwide were awakened, and came forward to support Gao Rongrong in her time of need and to attempt to stop the persecution. Indications are that Gao Rongrong's family and relatives will appeal to a higher court to demand justice for Gao Rongrong and to seek compensation.
From this incident, it can be clearly seen that overseas fellow practitioners had promptly read the persecution article on Clearwisdom.net and took immediate action. They acted in a unified and concerted effort. The force of their actions helped fellow practitioners to lessen the persecution, to save the world's people and eliminate the evil. This development was of vital importance and was executed with awesome power. We believe that if more overseas fellow practitioners read these kinds of persecution articles on Clearwisdom.net and react more swiftly, it would encourage fellow practitioners in China to expose more about the persecution. Thus, the persecution would become known more widely. Practitioners would also understand the facts more thoroughly, and would therefore be able to clarify the facts more comprehensively to other people.
But many overseas practitioners just read Clearwisdom.net because Teacher has mentioned that they should do so. Many practitioners only read the main articles and the articles about practitioners' insights and experience sharing, to find anything that would benefit their personal cultivation. Some were not really interested in reading the persecution articles, as they felt that they were more or less identical, or they even felt that the articles contained too much brutality, which made them uncomfortable. They even criticized that the articles were not written with more "sentiment and splendor."
Certainly, our fellow practitioners in China should be more conscious of the way the reports are written. They need to ensure that the reports are accurate, detailed and complete. It would be best if the articles included photos clarifying the issues. With the assistance of everyone, the editors of Clearwisdom.net could also continue to upgrade the standard of the articles by correcting any errors in the articles. But everyone should calmly and objectively assess the situation. We need to examine ourselves and understand which attitudes of ours have become habits, which ones are in accordance with the Fa (1), and which ones have been developed due to attachments, such as to personal gain.
For example, let us look at the cruel torture cases. Every practitioner has a human body of flesh and blood, is alive and active. The persecution suffered by every practitioner is felt within the heart and bones of the Dafa practitioners and their family members. It is extremely painful to bear. Consider it from the angle of an ordinary person that has a compassionate heart. The suffering of a woman from the neighborhood being subjected to torture through force-feeding, and the same torture being suffered by an elderly grandmother would not be considered as being identical occurrences. They are both very similar, yet also different situations. Similarly, if we were reading a legal document or other written material compiled by a human rights organization, we would not be critical if a thousand documented cases of abuse against individuals were grouped together and were almost identical. We would understand the need to document and list each instance of abuse in order to build the strongest case in support of human rights.
But, why is it that when we read first-hand accounts of persecution in articles published on Clearwisdom.net, do some practitioners have such negative, critical thoughts? If Dafa practitioners themselves do not have sufficient compassion to read and understand the vast amount of articles discussing the persecution that is occurring daily, how can we hope that the world's people will read the truth-clarifying materials carefully and with interest? From the angle of cultivation, if our hearts are unmoved when we read such persecution cases, then we are prevented from elevating our compassion, as well as our xinxing (2). Avoidance is not a righteous thought nor a righteous action! Moreover, if it were only necessary to read the main articles and the experience sharing articles written by practitioners, then why did Teacher mention that "Minghui saves predestined persons" (draft translation, Hong Yin -- volume 2)?
There is also a more deep-seated problem, that is, for a long period of time, many overseas practitioners were content with just a superficial understanding of the scope of the persecution. They believed that just roughly knowing some of the typical cases was sufficient to speak about the facts. They thought that it was not necessary to read so many cases. Some even concluded that Clearwisdon.net was not actually clarifying the facts to ordinary people; it was not regarded as a regular media outlet, but only for providing materials for the practitioners. There are even those practitioners who stubbornly hold on to the notion that Clearwisdon.net was "definitely a website that no ordinary person could accept." Clinging to such rigid concepts and understanding, they only use the articles on Clearwisdom.net in a mechanical manner, and neglect to consider the effect on the readers. They still do not understand that Clearwisdom is facing "three types of readers" while clarifying the facts -- Dafa practitioners, ordinary people, and the evil. There are those who are not willing to openly cite the Clearwisdom website in a direct and forthright manner when they indicate their sources of truth clarification information.
Such phenomena might indicate that some overseas practitioners are very hesitant to let the name of Clearwisdom be known. Is this a case of the practitioners being interfered with, thus increasing pressure on the body of practitioners internally without realizing it? What is mentioned here has not even touched on whether it is necessary to respect being objective, or the question of the effort put in by others. Actually, different media have different functions, and there are many kindhearted people in the world who really want to read articles from Clearwisdom.net in order to quench their thirst for the facts.
According to feedback we have received, beside the various government agencies and VIPs, other ordinary people have become clearer about the meaning of life and humanity's existence. Thus, their wish to access Dafa websites becomes more acute. It is known that more and more ordinary folks are accessing the Clearwisdom website. Some practitioners have mentioned that as they were having problems with Clearwisdom.net, they hesitated to introduce the website to their friends in ordinary society. They believed that these people would think that there is too much information published on Clearwisdom, and that they would not understand many of the issues written about. However, isn't it true that when they might not understand, and wish to learn more, they have actually opened the door for practitioners to clarify the facts? With the Fa-rectification having arrived at the point it is today, it is difficult to understand why some overseas practitioners still persist in allowing Clearwisdom.net to "fade away" overseas.
These very fundamental questions of understanding and manipulation have been around for many years. It is perhaps time to solve the problems now. Thus we can better extend the strength of the entire body of overseas practitioners. There is also a fairly large section of practitioners overseas that has spent much time and effort to further arrange and sort out the articles from Clearwisdom.net. That reduces the workload of the overseas practitioners who compile the articles. Some articles have been modified into different forms. Some were reworked into commentaries and comprehensive reports, and reposted on Clearwisdom.net to be more effective in expanding the range of truth clarification materials to be read by non-practitioners. Some practitioners work painstakingly and diligently, proofing and correcting grammar and typographical errors, to enable the editorial staff to work more efficiently. There are also many telephone and network groups who research and verify telephone numbers and other contact information, for the use of many readers. The more support and understanding Clearwisdom.net receives from practitioners, the more efficient and effective our overall efforts will be in building a unified body in the Fa-rectification.
In addition, in some past situations, after the units and persons involved in the persecution have been exposed, not only did they not admit their guilt and mend their ways, they have instead been humiliated by being exposed, and tried to find the opportunity to seek revenge against the Dafa practitioners who exposed their crimes. Those with inside information and even their families were also targeted. Under such circumstances, the Dafa practitioners in China and the overseas practitioners who have connections with those in China, are advised to maintain tranquility and reason, and give due consideration to those practitioners in China. Always maintain righteous thoughts and actions, but never lower your guard!

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, a practitioner from our local area who was sentenced to eight years in prison was released thanks to the rescue efforts of local practitioners and his family members. This is a great step forward for rescuing detained practitioners, and shows the strength of practitioners acting as one body by coordinating efforts and maintaining unwavering righteous thoughts and righteous actions. In order to dissolve the evils' interference and damage, have charges dropped, and unconditionally release the detained practitioners, I will share these experiences and our shortcomings, and propose the following suggestions for your reference. Please kindly point out any unrighteous points.
We must first eliminate any deformed notions within ourselves and form strong righteous thoughts in all practitioners. Because Fa-rectification is happening for the first time in history, we have no examples to follow, and practitioners hold many deformed notions enforced by the old forces. Some believe in a false reality, thinking "It's impossible to get released before the term is up," "There's no attorney that would appear in court to defend us," "Nothing can be done without spending money," "It's impossible to be released without writing the guarantee letter," etc. Those notions hinder our righteous thoughts and righteous actions, and obstruct our actions to rescue more detained practitioners. We have to study the Fa [great law, universal principle] more diligently, know the Fa from within the Fa, break those postnatally-acquired notions that influence us in subtle ways that we don't always recognize, and form stronger righteous thoughts among practitioners. Teacher said:
"Starting from each person, let's truly make our environment a very righteous one, and then all the unrighteous factors will dissolve, and all the students who haven't conducted themselves well will see where they fall short, and it will make them do better." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference").
We have to be aware that we are creating the future and it really depends on us. We should completely deny the evils' arrangements, rescue all the detained practitioners as soon as possible, and save more and more sentient beings.
The next step is to make better use of time to do more rescue work, which is also an opportunity to clarify the truth and save sentient beings. Some practitioners separate the truth-clarifying work from the rescue work, and some treat it as an ordinary thing in human society, irrelevant to their cultivation, and ignore it, feeling like they can't do anything about it. In this passive, sluggish environment, we have missed many chances to rescue detained practitioners. Every single particle of us has capabilities. We can take the initiative to be more active in rescuing detained practitioners according to our conditions. Even in ordinary society, they are investigating cases and punishing government officials who've taken advantage of their power to violate human rights and mistreated detained practitioners. We should take this opportunity to report all practitioners' torture cases. Every practitioner could report on the torture he or she faced, or the mistreatment of other practitioners, including those who have been persecuted to death. We should persistently use all legal means and resources available in ordinary society to our advantage. We must break through the incorrect thoughts such as "This is going to surface like ordinary human things and the officials will protect each other." (Of course we should maintain the impression of doing things on the surface, but we should not be fooled by false phenomenon, thereby letting the old forces take advantage and make us less effective in eliminating the evil forces.) Master has mentioned many times that Fa-rectification is at the final, final stage. We should eliminate the last evils in the other dimensions and save more sentient beings that should be saved. This is the process of Fa-rectification. Practitioners should realize this situation and should do all kinds of Dafa work well. The detained practitioners in Harbin prison together reported the murder and torture of practitioners, and it has been very effective. Fearing an investigation, prison officials secretly transferred all the detained practitioners to Daqing, Mudanjiang, and Tailai. Those practitioners continued to expose the persecution facts to the public. We should assist them by forwarding their reports to all levels of public office. At the same time, we should also let ordinary people know the facts of the persecution so that they can be saved.
The third thing is to assist the detained practitioners' family members in requesting the release of practitioners. Some family members of the detained practitioners do not know the persecution facts, and are still deceived by the evils' lies. We have to take all kinds of measures to let them know the facts of the persecution and awaken their enlightened side and their righteous thoughts, to help them actively stand up, eliminate the evils' control, distinguish right from wrong, and stop dreaming that the corrupt officials will release the detained practitioners of their own accord. The practitioners recently transferred from Harbin prison to Daqing prison especially requested this. We hope their families will hear this message.
The fourth step is to urge practitioners working within police stations, public offices, legal department jurisdictions, and government departments to take advantage of their work situations to provide more detailed and updated information on the local officers and corrupt officials who have persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. This makes it easier for other practitioners to report and clarify the truth.
Falun Dafa practitioners are one whole body, and everyone has his own cultivation path. Everyone has his own Dafa work. Let us treat the Fa as our teacher and together do well the three things requested by our Master, thereby doing our best in the rescue work.
(Clearwisdom.net) My father passed away when I was twelve years old, and my family was under financial pressure. While my schoolmates were imagining themselves as fairy tale princesses, I couldn't wait to graduate and earn money to lighten my mother's burden.
Soon after I graduated from junior high school, I became an apprentice at a beauty salon. After working for a few years I was introduced to a young man, and we were soon married. From then on, I not only had to work, but also had to tend to the minutiae of marital life.
As a beautician I have to stand throughout the day and suffered from various physical ailments. Giving birth to my two children by Caesarean section exacerbated the state of my health. I wasn't even 40 when I developed many problems like shoulder pain, backaches, insomnia, gastric problems and migraines. I felt uncomfortable all over and paid frequent visits to the hospital. Consequently, my table had many medicine bottles.
Besides going to the hospital, I also tried to regain my strength through various forms of exercises, for instance through swimming, folk dancing, a form of qigong and others. I did not achieve any observable, satisfactory results. Whenever I was alone, my thoughts often drifted to my health and to the bleakness of my future.
Four years ago I read an advertisement in a bookstore about Falun Gong offering free exercise classes. This enabled me to partake in future Falun Dafa cultivation. I remembered that my husband's health wasn't well at that time either, and he was interested in practicing some kind of qigong. The local media often mentioned Falun Gong and the practitioners being persecuted in Mainland China. My husband knew from past experience that whatever the Chinese ruling party tries to oppress is usually something upright and good. Just like that, my husband decided to learn the Falun Gong exercises.
In addition to learning the exercises, he also conducted himself according the high standard of the Falun Gong principles, Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. In the past ten years that we have been married, this was the first time I saw such a big transformation in him! After a few days of practicing Falun Gong, he actually stopped gambling and speculating in stocks. Most importantly, his bad temper disappeared.
My life was renewed in the spring of 2000, for I began to practice Falun Gong! When I had undergone a Caesarean section, the doctor made a mistake during administering the spinal anesthesia. Since then I suffered from terrible aches throughout my entire body. My lower vertebrae turned into a weather forecaster, for it became unbearably sore whenever the weather changed. It was so painful that I couldn't even stand and had to rely heavily on painkillers.
After reading Zhuan Falun, I understood how a true cultivator should act; therefore, I diligently studied the Falun Dafa teachings and practiced the exercises each day. I also put aside all my medicine. Approximately four months later, my chronic illnesses miraculously disappeared! Since then the pains in my vertebrae have never come back, and even the recurrent minor aches were cured.

Gradually, through my husband's and my example, our two children began practicing Falun Gong as well. As parents, we used to discipline our children very strictly in hopes that they might rise above others one day. Our parent-child relationship grew very tense as a result. Through studying the Falun Dafa principles, we learned not to make extreme demands for our children to achieve. The outcome showed that they actually performed better in such a considerate environment.
In the past, I had the habit of keeping my disappointments bottled up inside. It was difficult for me to look at things from the optimistic side, and I was therefore scared to do things on my own. Ever since I practiced Falun Gong, I have been able to view losses lightly and have become a more reliable and confident person. I am now able to maintain a peaceful state of mind. Moreover, I also understand the meaning of a human being's existence in this world and no longer hustle and bustle aimlessly.
In the years I have practiced Falun Dafa, I have obtained a healthy body, a peaceful mind and a happy family; and I now know the meaning of life. All of this could not be bought, even with all the riches in this world. With an extremely grateful heart I use every opportunity to let people know how wonderful Falun Dafa is and tell them the facts of the savage persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
In order to help more people know that Falun Dafa is good, to clarify the facts to the world's people, and to call for the help of all kind-hearted people everywhere, to stop the persecution that Jiang's regime initiated, I often carry a huge bag containing truth clarification materials to distribute in public areas, schools, governmental buildings and even police stations. In addition, I travel abroad as our family condition allows, to Switzerland, the U.S.A, Canada and other countries to participate in worldwide truth clarification activities.

Helping people achieve a better appearance is my profession; however, in the memorial activity "Respect Life: In memory of July 20," held at the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, I effectively exposed the ruthless torture methods employed by Jiang's regime in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
Many tourists were shocked by the representation of these brutal torture methods. Some people, after careful observation, asked, "Are these wounds real?" I told them that the wounds they see in the exhibit are a simulation and are used to portray the facts of what has indeed been happening in China and is still happening. Many kind-hearted people were shocked and distressed by this. They also signed petitions supporting Falun Gong and condemning the persecution in China.
Falun Dafa not only gave me health, confidence and a change in my worldview, but also made me realize the true meaning of life and gave me genuine happiness! If I had not practiced Falun Gong, I would not be able to enjoy the serene life that I have now. If attaining Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance is wrong and prohibited, there will be simply no justice to speak of in this world. We will continue to clarify the facts, to call for justice and to help practitioners in China regain the freedom to practice their belief.
(Clearwisdom.net) The annual National Lentil Festival Parade is a significant event in the university town of Pullman, Washington State, USA. On August 21, 2004, in the warm festival atmosphere, the city held its sixteenth National Lentil Festival Parade.
In the morning, local Falun Gong practitioners along with practitioners from Portland, Spokane, Lewiston and Moscow formed our section at the starting point of the parade. The golden-colored banners and exercise suits, as well as our pink-colored lotus float and beautiful music, were the focus of people's attention throughout the parade. This is the fourth time for Falun Gong practitioners to participate in the National Lentil Festival Parade.

Practitioners gave out colorful hand-made paper lotus flowers before the parade began. People liked them so much that we quickly ran out of them. After the parade began, two practitioners handed out truth-clarification materials to the spectators along the parade route. At the front of our group was a beautifully made big banner with the words, "Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," in red, on a golden background. Next we had a float on top of which a young female practitioner sat in meditation in the petals of a pink lotus flower. The beautiful music of "Pudu" and "Jishi" was played constantly around the float. As our team proceeded, it felt as if the music, full of compassion, covered the whole city. The spectators were very friendly and welcoming, and many waved and greeted us, and some even gave us cheers and applause from time to time. The kids were especially lovely, and every one of them waved to us with big smile on their faces.
When we passed the reviewing stand, an introduction of Falun Dafa was announced loudly through the speaker. Shortly afterwards, one of the event coordinators came down from the stage and handed the practitioners an award. It was an exquisite cut glass trophy with an engraved pattern in the middle, and on the base it read, "Best Theme Sweepstakes." They gave the only theme award to Falun Gong practitioners, especially for "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." It is wonderful that "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and Falun Dafa have entered into people's hearts.
At the end point of the parade, Reaney Park, practitioners put up posters and demonstrated the exercises, and distributed more truth-clarification materials. Before and after the parade, many practitioners had friendly talks with Chinese people. In the park, many Chinese people took the initiative to take the truth-clarification materials, and they carefully read the posters about the campaign to "Bring Jiang to Justice for Genocide." Some practitioners would say, "How are you" as soon as they met Chinese people, and the Chinese people would respond with, "How are you," and a sincere smile.

The persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China has been raging now for five years and without giving rise to any particular media interest worldwide, despite the more than alarming numbers involved. According to unofficial sources, we estimate, to date, between 4,000 and 10,000 deaths. As for torture, the Swiss Falun Gong practitioners chose to act out these scenes on the street in Bern. Indeed, it seems that, today, pictures carry more force than words, as we have seen with the photos of Abu Ghraïb recently. (...)
Despite the numerous appeals launched by many NGOs, such as Amnesty International, OMCT [World Organization against Torture], ACAT [Christian Action against Torture] or Human Rights Watch, numerous interventions by famous political figures, as well as different resolutions adopted by the European Parliament to condemn this crackdown, China continues to turn a deaf ear, claiming to whoever will listen that human rights are fine in China and that torture does not exist there. And yet, The United Nations Special Rapporteur on torture, Théo van Boven, has just had his official visit postponed. The Chinese Government would have liked - or so they said - to better prepare for his visit. What this said to Nicolas Becquelin, representative of the NGO Human Rights in China, was that it leads one to suppose China has something to hide.
Today, the repression continues to assume disturbing proportions, since it is spreading outside China. Voluntary practitioners who are denouncing the persecution in various countries and filing criminal lawsuits against the Chinese perpetrators for genocide, crimes against humanity and torture, are now finding themselves under threat. Several days ago, Australian practitioners, having gone to South Africa to register a complaint against two [visiting] Chinese officials, were shot at from a car pursuing them. The driver, Australian practitioner David Liang, was seriously wounded in both feet and an inquiry is under way to establish responsibility for such an act.
In view of the unacceptable rise in violence now extending outside China and aimed directly at practitioners worldwide, will our countries finally react with a greater degree of firmness and prevent such acts from being committed on our soil? Shouldn't our countries unite to condemn these massive violations through making China understand that in our democratic countries we respect the freedoms of expression and belief?

(Clearwisdom.net) From August 20 to 22, the Young Falun Dafa Practitioners Summer Camp of 2004 was held at Kaohsiung. Middle school, high school and college students from every corner of Taiwan gathered together to study the Fa (1) and share experiences with each other for 3 days and 2 nights. They discussed various issues encountered by young practitioners practicing Falun Dafa in today's society, including the issues of electronic games and lust. Some of the participants were new practitioners who started practicing Falun Dafa only recently. Through group study and experience sharing, they improved their understanding of Fa rectification, clarifying the truth, sending righteous thoughts, and the mission of Dafa practitioners during the Fa Rectification period.

Young practitioners also discussed how to organize and run student clubs on campus. Currently, more than 18 universities and colleges in Taiwan have Falun Dafa clubs. Through sharing, the young practitioners learned from each other. Some clubs shared how they use concerts and movie exhibitions to clarify the truth to students and faculty members and how they clarify the truth to visiting scholars from Mainland China.
On the afternoon of August 22, a large-scale experience sharing conference was held. This was the first experience sharing conference exclusively for young practitioners. Nine students read their reports, with topics ranging from cultivating while serving in the army to clarifying truth by participating in media projects. The experience sharing report of a young practitioner in Mainland China was also read during the conference. In his report, submitted to the conference by e-mail, he shared how he clarified the truth about Falun Dafa at work. Through the summer camp, the young practitioners improved their understanding of the Fa and gained further encouragement and momentum to cultivate more diligently.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Torture of Practitioner Wang Yuling
Practitioner Ms. Wang Yuling, 48 years old, is from Dongfeng County, Jilin Province. She had joined in the effort of tapping into the Changchun TV network to broadcast a video clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. At the end of 2002, she was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment. Currently Wang Yuling is being held at the city's Tiebei Forced Labor Camp Hospital, where she has been tortured. She was hung up by the police from her handcuffs and later subjected to the Tiger Bench.
Due to severe torture, Wang Yuling has become so weak that she cannot take care of herself and is suffering from severe heart problems. Her life is in imminent danger. No one is taking care of her in the hospital, since the police are not allowing her family to visit her. The authorities in the Shuangyang No. 3 Detention Center agreed to let her serve her 13-year sentence outside prison, but officials from the former Chaoyang District Court and Chaoyang District's Prosecutor's Office have not agreed to release her.

2. [Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Chen Guanghui is in a Coma from Head Injury
Practitioner Mr. Chen Guanghui, 30 years old, was working at Jiangsu Province's Lianyungang Banking System. Since 1999 he has been detained many times, including two years of forced labor. He was arrested again after his release for downloading Falun Gong materials from the Internet. Last year he was arrested in Nanjing City and sentenced to eight years of imprisonment in the Suzhou City Forced Labor Camp. On July 29, he suffered an injury to the head, from which he is still in a coma. The cause of the injury is currently unknown. He is now undergoing emergency medical care at the First Hospital affiliated with Suzhou University.
3. [Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province] Illegal Sentencing of Falun Gong Practitioners
On April 30, 2004, officers including Zhang Deyue and Fu Yong from the No.1 Section of Shanhaiguan Police Department arrested practitioner Wei Danquan and five other practitioners from Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province when these practitioners were painting truth-clarifying signs at the Jiaoshan tourist site. The practitioners were detained at the Shanhaiguan Detention Center before being transferred to Qinhuangdao City's No. 1 Detention Center. Wei Danquan went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and refused to cooperate with the policemen's demands.

4. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia AR] Arrest of the Practitioner Couple Zhao Honghai and Ren Guimei
On July 21 at around 5:00 a.m., more than ten people from Chifeng City's "610 Office" suddenly broke into the home of the Dafa practitioner couple Mr. Zhao Honghai and Ms. Ren Guimei from the Hongshan District. They took the two of them to Chifeng City's Legal Education Base, which in fact is a brainwashing center for persecuting Dafa practitioners. At the time, Ren Guimei just had a miscarriage four days previously. Now their young son and elderly father are left at home without care. In order to protest the illegal action from the "610 Office", the two practitioners have gone on a hunger strike.
The two practitioners used to own an auto-repair shop. Due to frequent harassment after they went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, they were forced to close the shop. The couple has been held many times, and Zhao was put into a forced labor camp for one year.
5. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Arrest of Several Practitioners from the Dongchuan District
At noon on July 27, 2004, personnel from the "610 Office" and police officers from the Dongchuan District, Kunming City arrested practitioner Ms. Liao from Shiyang Village. In the afternoon they arrested Yao Jiali, an employee of a Chinese Traditional Medicine Hospital. They released Liao at 6:00 p.m. On August 5, they went to Shiyang Village and arrested practitioners Ms. Gu Zhonglan and Liao again.

6. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioner Wang Ping and Others
During the night of June 9, 2004, practitioners Wang Dexiang, Wang Ping, Li Minzhi, Ding Yonghong were arrested when they were watching truth-clarifying CDs at Wang Ping's home. The perpetrators were police officers from Wubei Town's Police Precinct in Laixi City. Two policemen ransacked Wang Ping's home when no one was there. They confiscated all of the Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials.
Now, Wang Ping was sent to Zibo City's Wangcun Forced Labor Camp and Li Minzhi was sent to Wangcheng City's Xinzhuang Brainwashing Class, and they have not yet been released. Ding Yonghong and Wang Dexiang have been released, but Wang Dexiang (Wang Ping's husband) was forced to pay 1,000 Yuan for the release.
On June 11, police officers went back to Wang Dexiang's home again. They played the truth-clarifying CD and forced him to sit there watching while they took pictures and forced him to submit to fingerprinting.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Arrest of Practitioner Zhuang Yan
On June 15, 2004, when Ms. Zhuang Yan, a teacher of Changchun City's Kuanping Street Elementary School in Jilin Province, was at work, officers from the city's police department arrested her. After being held in the city's No.3 Detention Center for 32 days, she was transferred to the No. 5 Brigade in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor. A 16-year-old teenager is now left at home without care, as Zhuang's husband had passed away earlier.
8. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Several Dafa Practitioners Are Sentenced to Forced Labor
Around April 16, 2004 some personnel from Fuyang City's National Security Bureau and Police Department arrested more than ten Dafa practitioners under instructions from the "610 Office."
After being illegally detained for over 90 days, it was reported recently that Ms. Liu Junying, an official from Fuyang City's Zhongfang Company, Ms. Su Meifeng, an employee of the Fuyang City Transportation Company and Ms. Wu Qinghua, a laid-off worker, were sent to Hefei City's Female Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. Fuyang City's "610 Office" and Fuyang City's Police Department sentenced the three practitioners to one to three years of forced labor.
9. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] "610 Office" Personnel Dupe Dafa Practitioners to Brainwashing Sessions
In the beginning of July 2004, some personnel from Yingdong District's "610 Office" in Fuyang City held a brainwashing program to persecute Dafa practitioners on the third floor of the Guangrong Hotel. This was done at the direction of the Fuyang City's "610 Office."
The Yingdong District "610 Office" held a brainwashing session and captured eight practitioners from Kouzi Town and Chahua Town by deceiving them. The "610 Office" ordered the local government or police department to summon the practitioners for meetings, and they would be subsequently sent to the brainwashing sessions.
10. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Persecution of Several Dafa Practitioners During the Time of the Two Conferences (1)
During the Two Conferences, Xiangtan City's "610 Office" personnel and people from the Political and Judiciary Committee took special efforts to arrest Dafa practitioners in Xiangtan City and sent them to brainwashing sessions. Targeting Xiao Zhixiang and Zhang Yaqin as "key practitioners", they forcibly sent these two to the "Legal System Education Base" for further brainwashing.
Several practitioners went to Beijing to appeal during the period of the Two Conferences, which led to their latest campaigns to arrest practitioners. Policemen from Yuetang District's National Security Team were the ones responsible for the arrests. The following are practitioners who were arrested and sent to forced labor camps:
Tang Peilin, arrested on June 18, two years of forced labor;
Shu Wanguo, arrested on May 31, one and a half years of forced labor;
Xiang Hairong, arrested on June 26, two years of forced labor;
Zhou Kejia, arrested on June 26, three years of forced labor;
Wang Yaoxun, arrested in June, two years of forced labor.
Practitioners who were illegally detained in the Yuhu District:
Hu Dongxia; two years of forced labor;
Zhao Lizhen, incarcerated at a detention center;
Zhou Yueyu was arrested on July 24 by persons from the Yuhu District National
Security Team and has been detained at Zhuzhou City's Detention Center.
