(Clearwisdom.net) After hearing the shocking news that Falun Gong practitioners were shot at in South Africa on June 28, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in St. Louis, Missouri, USA held a press conference on the afternoon of June 30, exposing Jiang's group's persecution of Falun Gong inside and outside China. In the press conference, practitioners strongly condemned Jiang's political group's latest act of terrorism, that of employing hired gunman to kill practitioners.

The practitioners read the following prepared statement: "The drive-by shooting incident targeting Falun Gong practitioners, which occurred on Monday in South Africa, marked a new level of Jiang's group's brutal persecution of Falun Gong worldwide."

"Two visiting Chinese officials to South Africa, Vice-president Zeng Qinghong and Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, have been implicated in the incident. Both of them have been sued in foreign countries, the latter (Bo Xilai) has been served lawsuits in the US, the UK and Poland on charges of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity. In this recent incident, nine Falun Gong practitioners from Australia traveled to South Africa to expose Jiang's group's persecution of Falun Gong, and the atrocities committed by the two visiting officials in persecuting Falun Gong. The practitioners were planning to hold a press conference to expose the crimes of these two officials, and to file a lawsuit against them."

The statement concluded, "We call upon the government of South Africa to thoroughly investigate the case, and uncover the behind-the-scenes instigators. We further call upon the governments of all countries to condemn Jiang's group's act of terrorism of employing hired gunman to kill Falun Gong practitioners."

Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, Jiang's group has been utilizing secret agents and Chinese embassies and consulates to harass, threaten and attack Falun Gong practitioners overseas. This time, it appears that major assistants in Jiang's group, Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai, even hired a gunman to shoot Falun Gong practitioners during their visit to South Africa, pushing Jiang's group's state terrorism to the extreme.

As analysis shows, Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai employed gunmen to attempt to frighten Falun Gong practitioners who were planning to file a lawsuit against them, so as to escape the justice of the law. In recent years, Falun Gong practitioners have continuously sued Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai, who are responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong, in a number of countries. The lawsuits have made these perpetrators, whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent people, very afraid. They are frightened because they clearly know the serious crimes they have committed during the nearly five-year persecution of Falun Gong. As of today, it is verified that at least 997 Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of the persecution, more than ten thousand practitioners have been illegally sentenced to forced labor, and thousands of practitioners have been sent to mental hospitals to be tortured with nerve-damaging drugs. More Falun Gong practitioners have been abducted and taken to brainwashing classes throughout China to be subjected to mental torment and physical torture. This information is based on news leaked out from Jiang's group's strict information blockage. The actual situation is even much more brutal and on a larger scale. With such huge crimes, and facing an increasingly loud call for justice worldwide, how can Jiang, Zeng and other chief perpetrators not be nervous.

Jiang's group suppresses Falun Gong by means of state terrorism in China, and now they attempt to hire gunmen to persecute overseas Falun Gong practitioners and to suffocate the voice of justice. St. Louis practitioners stated, "In China, the nearly five-year brutal suppression and persecution hasn't diminished practitioners' righteous belief and efforts to oppose the persecution. How could Zeng Qinghong's employing hired gunman to shoot practitioners ever frighten us? Jiang's group has tortured so many practitioners to death in China, attempting to prevent us from suing them and to stop us from opposing the persecution, but their efforts are in vain. We not only hold press conferences, but we also try our best to let the governments of all countries, the media and all people to learn the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, and to let the whole world see clearly the evil nature of Jiang's group."

Since the shooting incident occurred, Falun Gong practitioners from the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, and in the United States, practitioners in New York, Washington, Chicago and California have held press conferences to strongly condemn Jiang's political group's latest act of terrorism.
