Li Changchun Sued in Paris as an Accomplice to Torture

(Clearwisdom.net) At 3:20 p.m. Paris time on July 2, 2004, on behalf of three Falun Gong practitioners, attorney Delva filed a complaint to the Republic Procurator of Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris. The complaint accused Li Changchun, Politburo Standing Committee Member of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee in charge of propaganda and former Guangdong Province CCP Secretary who is currently visiting France, of being an accomplice to torture in the persecution of Falun Gong.

As early as 2000, government officials in Guangdong Province had a strong repugnance towards Jiang Zemin's various requirements. Especially on the issue of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, the officials applied delaying and ignoring tactics. Seeing this, Li Changchun was exasperated and came out into the open. He marked the list of some veteran Falun Gong practitioners to question and pressured the related departments like a mob boss, "Why isn't this one arrested?" "Why isn't that one sentenced?"

At the beginning of 2001, to flatter Jiang Zemin for the purpose of being promoted to the State Council Premier, Li Changchun, the then Party Secretary of Guangdong Province, tempted with bonuses and promotion to a select group of political rogues who had been specifically taking charge of deceiving, framing and attacking people in the CCP system for a long time, formed the local "610 Office" terrorist organization. For a period of time since then, cases of Falun Gong practitioners being abducted or missing occurred regularly.

The Guangdong "610 Office" is above the law. It orally transmits orders from Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan and Li Changchun without issuing written documents to exert pressure on various levels of basic work units. It also directly controls the police, national security units and security offices of various work units to cruelly persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Zhao Jingan, the former vice president and office supervisor of Southern Reality Co. of Baoli Incorporation under the General Logistics Department of the Army, was well-known in his company for his great virtue and ability and he was also a former volunteer assistant of the Guangzhou Falun Dafa Assistance Center. Zhao was considered by Li Changchun as a "nail in the eye." After the establishment of the Guangdong "610 Office," Li Changchun employed the special agent to secretly hide 200 copies of Falun Gong materials in Zhao's office and then had the public security personnel arrest him for holding such materials.

By employing similar tricks, Li Changchun illegally arrested most former assistants of Guangzhou Falun Gong Assistance Center, including the widow of a deceased UN Military Observer, Han Yuejuan. Han was also the former section head in the Propaganda Department of Dongshan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.

Another terrorist method used by Li Changchun and Guangdong "610 Office" system is secretly abducting people on a large-scale. As is known, the notorious brainwashing center in the Sanshui Labor Camp is cosponsored by Guangdong Province Working Committee, Guangdong Province High Education Working Committee as well as Guangdong Province Justice and Law Department under the direct orders of the Guangdong "610 Office," and the latter is under the direct orders of Luo Gan and Li Changchun. Among the Falun Gong practitioners abducted to the brainwashing center, all were abducted while on their way to work or directly from their homes by the police or "610 Office." Many relatives and their companies did not even know the whereabouts of these practitioners at the time.

In Sanshui Labor Camp Brainwashing Center and the Huangpu Drug Rehab Center (a brainwashing center), "Those not giving up cultivation will be sent for forced labor," is the first encounter for almost everyone abducted. Under the support of the forced labor camp and the Drug Rehab Center, these two brainwashing centers had illegally detained over 800 Dafa practitioners sent from various places in Guangdong in 2001. Nearly 300 of them were in the male center and more than 500 were in the female center. The brainwashing centers became the evil base for Li Changchun to promote himself through the blood and tears of Dafa practitioners as well as their family members.
