(Clearwisdom.net) Yesterday, while I was being interrogated, a guard told me, "Your case will soon be judged in court and this is your last chance. If you write a 'Guarantee Letter' (1) to show your regret for practicing Falun Gong and your willingness to give up the practice, the letter will play a very important role in how you are sentenced. Either bail or a deferred sentence is possible. What is the problem with writing a guarantee letter? Wouldn't it be fine to practice again after you return home? You are over 50 years old, so do not pass up this opportunity."

From the first day I was illegally imprisoned up to now, nine months later, I could have been released at any time if I gave up cultivating Falun Gong. Family members' anxiety, friends' persuasion, police officers' tricks and deception, the hardship in prison, mental humiliation, the constraints on body and mind - all this constantly ripped at my heart. My family members have been suffering huge pains for me. They worked very hard with all levels and departments of government to help me return home, and they wanted me to make a "wise" decision. The "610 Office" (2) gave me ample "chances" to be released. However, in this closed and unknown environment, darkness and horrific traps were everywhere. From this environment of cold-blooded brutality, as well as factional strife and violence, I longed for freedom so much! But I deeply understood the seriousness and solemnity of Fa-rectification and cultivation practice. Any bit of hypocrisy would be unacceptable in cultivation practice. Practitioners' paths are very narrow; we must walk righteously, and we only have one choice. During the past ten years of cultivation practice I have greatly benefited from Teacher's teachings. Dafa has reshaped my life and Teacher has given me everything. I should treasure Dafa even more, and treasure the path of cultivation and Fa-rectification during the past 10 years. There are millions of things that have happened over the long course of history, and only Dafa is of utmost importance.

I said, "I know what I'm facing, I do not want this opportunity, and I do not need such an opportunity! In order to validate Dafa and persist in my belief, I consider it is worthy even if I am imprisoned and sentenced or die. I am using my heart to validate Dafa." They were startled after listening to my words and did not know what to say. While they felt sorry for me, they also looked at me with admiration and told me that they respected my choice. Even though my cellmates could not understand why I was taking such a stand, still they gave me a thumbs-up, and said to me, "Dafa is good! Great! Falun Dafa is great! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is great! I will keep these things in mind. I also want to be like you!" I feel that Dafa disciples are so fortunate and sacred!

The court is about to hear my case. What should I do? On important matters, I should let go of all ties and attachments, let go of self, and I should use my precious time and life to validate Dafa.

When I know and feel that all other practitioners are sending forth righteous thoughts to strengthen my righteous thoughts, can you imagine my feelings at that moment? I'm deeply moved to tears by your sincerity and caring. This is the shining and indestructible heart that Dafa disciples exhibit toward fellow practitioners and Dafa. This heart can move and melt anything. When I feel fellow practitioners' support, and I am participating in this incomparable "God's path," all my attachments and human mentalities are melted and gone. I realize the meaning of "glory" that Teacher referred to. My dear fellow practitioners, I will face up to everything with indestructible firm faith that can overrun all fortifications! Break with and eliminate the old forces and "walk nobly on the path of Fa-Rectification." My dear fellow practitioners, I will not let you down. I will conduct myself well and use my life to do what a Fa-rectification Dafa disciple should do and I will do it well. When we bear the Fa in our minds, we will have only success, not failure.

(1) "Guarantee Statement" - A statement to declare that one is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.

(2) "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
