Radio France International: The Taiwan Legislature Passes a Resolution Appealing to Mainland China to Stop Persecuting Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of June 11th, Radio France Internationale broadcast the following report in Mandarin to listeners in the Greater Paris area, as well as mainland China:

The Taiwan legislature had just passed a resolution regarding Falun Gong for the first time, appealing to the Chinese government to stop persecuting the peaceful spiritual practice.

On June the 8th, 126 bipartisan Taiwan legislators signed their names to introduce a resolution calling on the Chinese authorities to immediately release the arrested and imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners and to stop persecuting Falun Gong. On the same day Taiwan legislature passed the resolution and submitted it to the Executive for further research.

Mr. Lin Zhuoshui, one of the legislators said, "The resolution was drafted based on the freedom of belief and that mainland China should stop violating human rights and persecuting Falun Gong."
