 City of Wilmington, Delaware, Issues Proclamation for Falun Dafa (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 3, 2004, Mayor James M. Baker of Wilmington, Delaware, issued a proclamation for Falun Dafa and hosted a ceremony in the Mayor's Office.

In his proclamation, Mayor James Baker wrote that Falun Dafa, based on the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", is worthwhile for everyone to study and embrace, yet it is being persecuted in the country where it originated. The persecution forced the Chinese Falun Dafa practitioners to make a choice between their spiritual belief and their homes, jobs, families and right to education. Nevertheless, millions of Chinese practitioners persist in cultivating Falun Dafa at the risk of their lives. The mayor also asked the city's citizens to join him in recognizing the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
