Eastern Indonesia Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 29, 2004, Eastern Indonesia Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was solemnly held in downtown Surabaya. Practitioners from Malang, Jakarta, Bali, Tulung Agung, Pasuruan and other places attended the conference. They gathered in the conference hall in the Youth Center to share their experiences in obtaining the Fa, practicing cultivation, stepping forward to clarify the truth, and how they overcome the interference and improve as an integrated entity. Practitioners also held group practice and sent forth righteous thoughts together.

The experiences shared by both new and veteran practitioners were quite diversified, which covered mind and body improvements obtained through the practice, the pressure encountered from families who have been influenced by the Jiang group's poisonous deceits, and also experiences in explaining the persecution facts or distributing truth-clarifying materials. Both Chinese and local practitioners actively participated in distributing truth-clarifying materials. They also introduced Falun Dafa to local government officials and explained to them how Dafa teaches people to be good, helping them learn about and support Dafa. Although they themselves may not practice Dafa, they would not prevent others from practicing it.

A practitioner shared his experience in distributing truth-clarifying newsletters. He gave an example of Surabaya residents who subscribed to the newsletters. He said that after a period of time, when people learned that Falun Dafa is righteous and completely different from the defaming propaganda spread by the Chinese Consulate, more and more people subscribed to the newsletter. Some practitioners recounted stories about many people who originally were not willing to accept Falun Gong introductory materials and even did not want to hear the words "Falun Gong" recently took the initiative to request the information and expressed their wish to learn the exercises. The practitioners were encouraged to set up new practice sites. One started practicing Falun Dafa after seeing his father's dramatic changes. Some practitioners shared how their entire family obtained the Fa.

During the Fa conference, a video program about lawsuits against Jiang and the worldwide spread of Dafa was also played. After the experience sharing, practitioners practiced the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts together. They also lighted more than 100 candles to commemorate fellow practitioners who have died from the persecution in China.
