Sentenced to Ten Years of Imprisonment Practitioner Ms. Yu Jingxia was sentenced to less than ten years of
imprisonment in the first round of a trial in the Xinhua District Court. Then
the Shijiazhuang City Intermediate Court sentenced her to ten years. At present,
Yu Jingxia is appealing to Hebei Province's Superior Court. Yu Jingxia is
currently being held at the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center. 2. [Dianbai County, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Lin Yanmei
and Gan Huiling Are Staging a Hunger Strike to Protest Their Illegal Detention On September 23, 2004, practitioners Ms. Lin Yanmei and Ms. Gan Huiling from
Shuidong Town went to Guanzhu Town to visit a friend. They saw a Falun Dafa
truth-clarifying flyer lying on the ground, they picked it up and gave it to a
person standing next to them and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to
him/her. It turned out later that the person called the police. As a result, the
practitioners were thrown into the Chengxi Police Station, Shuidong Town. A
policeman there beat Lin Yanmei so badly that she was black and blue all over
her body. The scene was horrible. He took her by the throat, choking her while
beating her so as to prevent her from making any sound. Right now, the two practitioners are both being held at the Dianbai County
No. 2 Detention Center. They have been staging a hunger strike for seven days
and their lives are in great danger. They are both good people who live up to
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Both have elderly parents and

Excruciating Torture in Dalian City's Forced Labor Camp According to the latest news from Dalian City's Forced Labor Camp, at the
beginning of April 2004, Deputy Team Leader Wang Shiwei and inmate Li Yue used
all kinds of excruciating torture methods to forcibly "reform" Falun
Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Wei, an army officer who has transferred to civilian
work. In September, Mr. Li Wei wrote a declaration stating that all the
statements he wrote under pressure against Dafa are now void and that he will
persist in practicing Dafa. Wang Shiwei illegally extended Li Wei's term by
three months and put Mr. Li in a strictly monitored cell. Wang Shiwei and guard
Yuan Yu beat Li Wei badly. They used all kinds of other excruciating torture
methods, including electric batons. Li Wei is now staging a hunger strike to
protest the gross abuse and torment. At present, several practitioners besides
Lin Weizhu are being held in strictly monitored cells. 4. [Shanghai City] Han Yinzhen Is Unable to Walk Due to Torture in a Forced
Labor Camp Ms. Han Yinzhen, 53 years old, is a retired worker from Shanghai City's
Rectifier Factory. Her residence address is Room 63, No. 32 Dong'an Sicun
Residential Area, Shanghai City. Her I.D. card number is: 310104195111092849. In August 2001, Han Yinzhen was sentenced to two years of forced labor simply
because she practices Falun Dafa. In February 2004, Han Yinzhen was reported to
the police while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to the staff of Dong'an
Sicun Residential Area's Street Administrative Committee. Her home was
ransacked. Police found five copies of truth-clarifying materials handwritten by
her. On July 28, 2004, Yan Yinzhen was sentenced to one year of imprisonment. At
present, she is unable to walk and her blood pressure is very high. However, the

Forced Labor During the morning on March 26, 2004, someone reported practitioner Ms. Zhang
Suhua and Ms. Xu Linxiang from Wutai County in Shanxi Province to the Yangbai
Police Precinct when the two practitioners were doing Dafa truth clarifying
work. The police arrested them as the practitioners were on their way home.
Afterwards, the two practitioners were sentenced to one and a half years of
forced labor and are now incarcerated at Taiyuan City's Xindian Forced Labor
Camp in Shanxi Province. 6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Arrest of Su Jiezhen and Ke Ying On September 23, 2004, Ms. Su Jiezhen went to Shigu Town to visit relatives
and she clarified the truth there; however, someone reported her to the local
police and she was arrested and sent to the Maoming brainwashing class. On the evening of September 20, personnel from the Maoming "610
Office" told practitioner Ms. Ke Ying, 50 years old, to "come and have
a talk." The next day Ke Ying was arrested and sent to a brainwashing
class. 7. [Chongqing] Arrest of Practitioner Zhang Peijin On August 20, 2004, police from Beibei City arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang
Peijin and held him at the Beibei City Detention Center. Mr. Zhang was beaten
badly at the center. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Mr.
Zhang has currently been admitted to an affiliated hospital of Beibei City's No.
9 Hospital for emergency treatment. Detailed information about his situation is
unclear. It is known that another practitioner by the last name of Wang was
arrested at the same time. 8. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Arrest of Practitioner Wu Xueyan Practitioner Ms. Wu Xueyan from Tongcheng County, Hubei Province went to
Pinghu Town, the Longgang District in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province to work.
She performed excellently in the factory and was very well respected. In
September 2004, someone reported her to the police, and personnel from the
Pinghu Town Police Station arrested Ms. Wu and ransacked her home. The police
took away her books and letters and sent Ms. Wu to the Longgang Police Precinct.

Arrested When Distributing Truth-Clarifying Material Ms. Wang Baoqin and Ms. Yu Fengwen from the Peide Agricultural University of
Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province went to Fuyuan Township during the daytime on
September 20, 2004, to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Someone reported
them to the police. That same day, police pried their doors open and confiscated
Dafa materials and books. Further details are unknown. 10. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Police Ransack Practitioner Yuan Suzhi's
Home Around June 20, 2004, personnel from the Linwu Town Police Precinct and the
Anqiu City Police Department ransacked practitioner Ms. Yuan Suzhi's house in
Yuanjiazhuang, Linwu Town, Anqiu City, Shandong Province. They confiscated Dafa
books and truth-clarifying materials and put Yuan Suzhi into the Anqiu City
Detention Center. The police claimed that they would sentence her. In order to
get her out, her family members have paid over 10,000 yuan (1) to the related

Qilu, 86-536-4264060 (home) 11. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Arrest of Practitioner Liao Yuanhua Officer Peng Linfa from Wuxue City's "610 Office" ordered some
personnel to arrest practitioner Mr. Liao Yuanhua from Wuxue City, Hubei
Province because Mr. Liao told the facts about Falun Gong to the people taking
the same bus as he on September 13. Mr. Liao was released after five days of a
hunger strike. He temporarily lived with his elder sister and brother-in-law
because he had lost his job. Right before the October 1st National Day, in the afternoon of
September 30, police officer Zou Changqing from the Longtan Police Precinct,
Wuxue City, came to Liao Yuanhua's residence. After an exchange of deceptive
pleasantries, he entrapped Liao Yuanhua and took him to a detention center. When
officer Zou Changqing was asked for the reasons, he shirked accountability for
his actions, saying that Mr. Liao has to ask Chief Zhu from the Longtan Police
Precinct to get the answer, because he didn't know. Apparently, this is again an
unlawful act of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners on a so-called
"Sensitive Date" (2). 12. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Practitioner Wang Jingxian During the evening of October 1, the authorities from Binzhou City's Western
Police Precinct, Shandong Province, sent two police cars and many officers to
break into practitioner Ms. Wang Jingxian's house located in the residential
area of the city's Pipe Petroleum Transportation Company. They arrested Wang
Jingxian. Wang's 15-year-old daughter, a high school student, was left alone at
home. 13. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Arrest of Practitioner Zhang Jiyu Practitioner Ms. Zhang Jiyu from the Hefei City Forklift Factory has not yet
returned since she was sent to a brainwashing class on August 6, 2004. It is
said that the brainwashing class is at the campus of the Anhui University. On
April 30, 2004, her husband Wang Hongrong had to leave his home to avoid the
persecution. His whereabouts are unknown. Their daughter is currently left home
alone and she leads a difficult life. 14. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Plainclothes Police Arrest
Practitioner Wang Sulian When She Clarified the Truth to People Practitioner Ms. Wang Sulian, about 50 years old, lives at Erlihe Village,
Zhongyun Street, Jiaozhou City. Several days ago when she was clarifying the
truth at the Xihu Market in Jiaozhou City, three plainclothes officers from the

Production Center; Huge Losses Sustained During the morning of June 25, 2004, a Falun Dafa truth-clarification
materials production center in Taian City was destroyed. Special agents and
police officers from the city's National Security Team arrested practitioners
Mr. Zhao Weidong, Ms. Song Furong and one practitioner from another province at
the Yingzuo Shopping Center. After interrogating them under torture and having
extorted a "confession," the authorities threw the two practitioners
into the Taian City Detention Center. In early July, police found the main truth-clarifying materials production
site and arrested practitioner Ms. Lu Xia. They confiscated all the equipment
and materials. None of the other practitioners' whereabouts are known, except
for one who didn't live with them. Except for a few pieces of equipment that
have been moved to other places, all confiscated equipment, materials and
consumables are worth 190,000 yuan. In addition to the 40,000 yuan looted away
from the coordinator, the total loss was 230,000 yuan. 16. [Mancheng City, Hebei Province] Detention of Practitioner Du Yuqin in
Taihang Prison Because of practicing Falun Dafa, Ms. Du Yuqin is incarcerated at the Taihang
Prison in Mancheng City, Baoding City, Hebei Province. Her husband, who is also
a practitioner, was tortured to death in 2002. Their two children currently live
at the No. 2 Children's Village in Banqiao Street, Zhaoquanying Town, Shunyi
District, Beijing, which may be an orphanage. (1) Yuan is the unit of Chinese currency; 500 yuan is equal to the average
income of an urban worker in China. (2) "Sensitive Dates" are days such as national holidays and dates
of significance to Falun Gong, such as July 20, 1999 when the persecution
